Table needs to fit full width of page

I want to insert a table that is the full width of the page and all cells equal sized. Without dragging each column wider one by one and trying to equal them out manually, is there a quick setting I can choose in the Inspector or elsewhere to just make the table fill the page width? This must be one of the most basic standard options for tables along with "Fit to contents".

Never mind. Now after struggling with it for several minutes, selecting within the table and clicking outside the table, it suddenly woke up and shows me a resize box on the right. Funny how it didn't appear without a struggle. I have this same issue with text boxes in Keynote and I still haven't gotten it to respond consistently either.

  • How can I get a header image to span full width of page?

    Hi All
I have tried just about every thing to get this image to span the full width of the page, its fine in design mode but when I view it in preview its centred with white space either side.

    Hi Brad
Thanks for your reply,  I have treied that also with similar results.

  • Full width web page?

I have created and have up and running a great website (www.i-drone.co.uk)that i created with iWeb. However, the webpage is not the full width of the page? is there a way of making use of the full width of the page, without the bars either side?
    Thanks

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You can increase the width of the content portion of the page with the Inspector/Page/Layout pane:
However, the theme that you choose, Darkroom, does not scale up to larger widths because it uses a fixed width image for the spotlighted area in the center.
You could simulate that theme, except for the spotlight but taking a screenshot of the textured area and using that file for the page background. Or make the page background transparent or none and use the textured file for the browser background.

  • Image won't use full width of page in Standard Report

Using LabVIEW 2012 in both Windows XP and Win7
Specifically, I'm trying to use a cluster control  with strings and numerics for a generic report page.  I stuff the strings and numerics with the info that's needed to create the desired page content.
I am creating a standard report.  The use of Word or Excel is not considered due to compatibility issues when either NI or Microsoft release version upgrades.
I have tried setting the report margins as well as leaving them at default; the results are the same.
I set the header text and footer text to indicate where the report generation function believes the margins to be.  Both header and footer honor the margin settings and appear on the report page as they are expected.
When I "append control image to report" using the reference to the cluster control, the resulting image is 6.2" wide and hugs the left margin regardless of what size the control actually is.  If the control is widened, it is rescaled to 6.2" wide.  I tried using picture and array controls; results are the same.  I tried using the "append front panel image to report"; same results.  The "Alignment" input seems to have no effect.  The issue seems to be with the way images are handled in the report generation.
Oddly enough, the height seems to behave quite normally.  If the object is too large in height, it is simply truncated at the bottom margin.
I tried using landscape orientation which functionally exhibits the same issue; object hangs on left margin and will not fill the width of the page.
I tried HTML which centers the image on the page but doesn't honor margins and prints info at top and bottom that I can't get rid of.
I contacted NI support and generated an active support question reference# 7369484.  So far, no solution.
    Any help would be appreciated!

Similar problem using LV2011. I have to print labels on a 100x70 mm paper without borders. No chance to scale the control image to fit.
Calculating the size of the initial picture (480x360 pixels) scaled at 96 DPI would result in a size of 127x95 mm.
Actually the height printed is exactly this, but the width shrinked to about 45-50 mm.
A part of the solution might be to create an image (use 'create/invoke node/get image') and send this to the printer (how to do this?). Actually the HTML report creates an 96 DPI image together with the html page.
In my case I should create an image of at least 150 DPI (300 or 600 DPI prefered). But there are no options in either the 'get image' or append control image to standard report to set the resolution.
    Bad thing!

  • Fit to Width not working when linking directly to page number

I have set my initial view to Fit to Width.  If I link only to the file, the document fits to width.  However, when I add a specific page number to the link, the document opens up the full page.  It does not fit to width.  Is there something else I need to set or is that how it is supposed to function?  When I add destinations, the fit to width seems to work fine.

Try adding the view=fitH parameter like:

  • Maximize page to fit screen width

    Hi,
I would like to maximize all the pages of the application to fit the entire screen size i.e. effect similar to F11.
Please let me know how it can be done at application level.
    Thanks.

    @fac586,
Thanks for your reply. I have been asked to check the feasibility of this feature. I just gathered the complete details.
Its a Org specific Knowledge search kind of application. So the users will be employees of that org.
The employees mostly use Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer and versions might be latest (or) one or two versions lower. We can also display a note in the browser and suggest them to use Mozilla(if required).
The main purpose of the full screen mode is we want to utilize maximum screen space to show the pages, as there are lot many regions displayed over there.
If there is a better way to show the page in full screen or use max space, we are ready to go with it.
<li>Which browser(s) and browser version(s) is this application going to run on?Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer and versions might be latest (or) one or two versions lower. We can also restrict them to use Mozilla only.
<li>Which operating systems?User will be in Windows XP in most cases. I assume its OS of the user here.
<li>Is it an intranet application that will run in a controlled environment?Yes it is.
<li>An internet application that anyone can run?No.
<li>How is it deployed? As a desktop icon in a controlled environment? As a link on another site? On a standalone kiosk device?Users will be provided with URL for the application. Its deployed in apex.oraclecorp.com
<li>Do the users expect it to run in full-screen mode? Do they even know what full-screen mode is? Do they know how to get out of it and back to their desktop or other apps? Will they want to run it in full-screen mode?Since the requirement is to have all the regions displayed comfortably in the page, without scrolling the page full screen mode is used. We are planning to have a button in the page, which will exit the full screen mode and move to normal mode so that users can perform regular activities with browser.
<li>Are there any accessibility concerns to doing this? The purpose of the full screen mode is we want to utilize maximum screen space to show the pages, as there are lot many regions displayed over there.
If there is a better way to show the page to use maximum space, we are ready to go with it.
<li>How will this work across multiple devices? Screen sizes? User font settings? We have not thought about this yet. Whatever may be the screen size or display settings the user have, it should expand to fit screen width.
Please do let me know if require more information on this.
    @Joel_C,
I am a newbie in APEX and Web applications and to these forum categories too. Though the disclaimer claims, it hurts.
If I had known its a browser specific functionality earlier, why wouldnt I mention it ealier and end up in multiple iterations to get a solution to my query and waste valuable time of fac586?
No one can become 'Guru' in the way you have mentioned. Atleast I havent. Its through hardwork and continued contributions one can attain this position.
You might have also crossed this stage when you started with web applications. I am not a born genius and just a learner.

  • Need a scroll and fit to width in screen on presentation mode

I am using wireframe presentation in indesign, in web page design some pages are height is going high length, that time presentation mode shrink the page, that one is not good. that time we need some customisation for particular page width need to fit screen, and rest of things need scroll down. This feature really important for web page designer.

  • Can I start Pages with full width zoom and hide inspector?

I'm a journalist, sometimes when I fire up Pages I need to get typing as quickly as possible.
I created a template with full width zoom and hid the inspector - that's how I'd like things to start. But when the template loads it reverts to a narrower wdith and the inspector is back. Can I force things to start the way I want?

I've got the same problem. My preference is to have a plain screen with the toolbar and rulers hidden and the inspector closed. The toolbar and rulers are no problem, but how do I set a default to keep the inspector closed?

  • How can I scale just one dimension of a pic? I need to shrink the width only, to fit the frame.

HELP!  How can I shink only one dimension?  I need to shrink the width slightly to fit the frame; the program only allows scaling that is proportional, so when I shrink the width the heigh becomes too short.  Father Mike

I'd recommend using the rectangular marquee and the crop command. This will crop the image to an exact size without any resampling or distortion. Cropping without constraint can cause distortion...like giving someone a cone head.
Check the size of the image first by either looking in the Image<Resize<Image Size. Make a notation of the height since you don't want to change that in this case. (While you are there, change the resolution to the desired output...make notation of height after this step if you changed the resolution.)
Select the Rectangular Marquee tool. Change the setting in the options bar to "Fixed Size" and input the desired size. (Along with the numbers, specify in this box in what units you desire...px, in, etc.
Drag the marquee to the desired location. (As long as the marquee tool is selected, this selection box can be moved around).
Go up to the menu bar and select Edit<Crop.

  • Content in the page not displaying in full width

    Hello everyone,
We have a EP 2004s SR1 Portal with customized framework page and display theme.
When logged on to the protal, the first page(say home page) was displaying by leaving some width at right of that page (approximately the width is equal to scroll bar width). For remaining pages this is not the case...it is displaying properly i.e displaying with full width covered.
and one more thing is, this is happending in Production and QA machines...For Development machine it is working fine.
Could any one help me in this...
    Thanks in advance
    Regards

In your style.css on line 187 you have this.  Remove the max-width.
    .section > .content {
        background-image: url('../images/frame/contentBg.png');
        max-width: 800px;
        padding: 4%;
        text-align: justify;
        color: #646462;
        overflow: auto;

  • I am trying to print out information on a Google Maps page. I have the print setting on fit to width but the page does not print that way and some of the page that would normally show on page 2 is missing.

The page prints out fine on Internet Explorer, but not on Firefox. 2 pages are supposed to print out but only 1 prints. Also it does not fit to width even though that's the setting.

That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash. Safebooting disables Launch Agents/Daemon and Third Party Kernal extensions. Here's the article to Safeboot OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode? - Apple Support

  • IE6 & IE7 page expands to full width when using a component ....

I have created a dreamweaver template which expands using the overflow:visible CSS. The page displays fine when I create a recordset using the dreamweaver tools but when I created a dynamic page using the Developer Toolbox and view it in IE6 or IE7 the page is displayed in full width.

    Hi,
I guess this happens because ADDT uses it´s own CSS, which might override your overflow:visible.
All of ADDT´s CSS is located in the "includes/skins" directory BTW

  • How do I create a web mock-up using Full Width Photo's

    Greetings & Help!
I'm trying to create a full width photo layout using
Fireworks CS3 & Dreamwaver CS3 without the photo's being tall.
Exactly as the following websites - which all seem to be
using the same size of photo or very close to it.
This site is static with full width photos that are not tall.
    http://www.jenniferhandyproperties.com/selling
This site is static for the most part and full width photos
    that are not tall
    http://www.gnvpartners.com/web/
This site is Flash with full width photos that are not tall.
    expodesigncenter
I would love to create a flash site just like expo but at
this point I would settle for a static photo with the same size
being the same on each page.
Also I would like my site to be a liquid layout so the photo
and everything else (text, Links etc) on the page flows correctly.
    The problem...
I'm trying to use photo's from Istockphoto.com. The size of
    the photo's they offer are
    425 x 282 px (5.9" x 3.9")
    849 x 565 px (11.8" x 7.8")
    1698 x 1131 px (5.7" x 3.8")
I'm selecting horizontal photo's. I do not know how to match
the same width, height and appearence as the websites I mentioned
    above.
If I choose a photo that fits the width then the length is
too long. Also if I choose a large photo and have to crop it then
most of the detail of the photo is lost.
I'm attempting to create a mock-up for my web in Fireworks
CS3 and after search Adobe and www I came across the mock up should
be 1004px which would end up being 1024 with vertical scroll bar
    and small margins.
I also have Photoshop & Flash CS3 but should mention (if
you haven't already guess it by now) I am a rookie when it comes to
    creating a website.
So if you can offer a solution in "Non-Tech Terms" I would
    appreciate it.
Thank you in advance for your time.

    Hi Pixlor -
I'll do my best to answer your questions - within my ability
    - which isn't much.
As far as "Tile" the photo - I've checked out the responces
I've received from other's on this post - and other posts - and on
each page for the "masthead" I just want one photo to be the same
size of the page width wize - and the height of the photo should
not be tall from the top of the masthead to the bottom of the
masthead. As far as what I mean by "not being Tall" - see next
    comment...
I'm just attempting to duplicate exactly (or very close to
it) the same appearence and dimensions - "Width = side-to-side,
Tall = Height - as the websites I mentioned in my first post here.
Also if you check out Joey's website (who responded to my
post as well) basicly he has created the same thing that I'm
shooting for except he is using graphics. I have to use photos in
my masthead which will be of kitchen cabinetry or construction
photo's and must highlight every detail down to the shine of the
kitchen cabinets knobs - or close to it.
Due to this I can not have the photos of the masthead "tile"
from "width-to-width or top-to-bottom because the deatils in the
photo can not repeat or multiply to completely fill the masthead
head. Otherwize if I choose a photo of kitchen cabinetry which
highlights a kitchen sink - and if I tile this photo - from what
I'm learning from everyones responce thus far - I'll end up with
several of the same kitchen sinks and cabinets in the same photo.
I must stress I could be wrong in what I described directly
above due to my lack of tech knowledge! If this post was about a
2x4 or 2x6 or Green Building or what have you, It would be heck of
alot easier for me to completely understand what you pro's are
trying to help me with - which I completely appreaciate. Expecially
someone like you who owns a monitor the size of one of my work
    trucks!
Which brings me to your next question...
    Liquid layout -
Yes I am trying to end up with a liquid layout for my website
using Dreamweaver CS3. Hopefully using one of the pre-built liquid
layouts in Dreamweaver and modify it within my ability.
The main reason why I would like to create a liquid layout is
because most others construction firms in my industry - and in my
target market - have websites that completely consume a viewers
monitor - viewport - screen real estate - (i'm trying to learn your
tech terms) no matter what size viewport a viewer has, or how the
    viewer resizes theirs.
I've also heard that a "Min & Max" code can be included
in a liquid layout so that it would limit the "liquidness" of the
layout so "Text Lines" won't stretch too long making it difficult
to read when a viewport size extends - and when the viewport shinks
    - all the elements (or Div's) will reflow an maintain order and
    visability.
    1004 -
The only reason why I mentioned designing the Fireworks CS3
mock-up at a 1004 is because someone else mentioned they design
their mock-ups at a "Canvas Size" of 1004. Then most browsers
automaticly inlclude a scroll bar if the vertical content exceeds
below "The Fold". Thus with the addition of the automatic scroll
bar the page now becomes 1024 - according to this person.
She went on to mention according to "recent studies" - 56% of
viewers have 1024 x 768 and most computer manufacturs shipp them
this way. Then the following stats... 22% at 800 x 600, then 13% at
    1280 x 1024, then 3% at 1152 x 864, then 1% at 1580 x 1129. She
also mentions most avearge viewers (every day Dick & Jane, Bob
& Besty) (excluding computer tech folks like yourself) - do not
resize - bother with - or know how to resize their viewport.
My personal note on this is most of my target market -
clients - just turn on their computer and surfs the net from
website to website without changing their viewport and when also
asked they "Feel" that a website looks much better - or more
profeshional - when the content completely fills up an entire
    viewport.
    "Feel - not - Think" -
Keep in mind I choose the word "Feel" & not "Think". In
my target market - Residential Construction - 95% of home
improvement decisions are made my the Woman of the houshold - not
the Man. That being in mind it is a proven stat (and not a sexest
comment) that women base most of their choices or decsions on how
something makes them "Feel". Where as most men make their choice or
    decision on how they "Think".
Also most men attempt to keep their women happy and knowing
that if they don't then they will end up in the doghouse - ( not a
fun place to be trust me on this) and in addition most men do not
have much of a clue when it comes to the interior design layout of
a home, matching of paint colors, appliance choices or what have
    you.
Wow that was a major side track I took -
    Back to 1004 -
It's not that I'm intend in designing the mock-up in
Fireworks at 1004 - I just want to end up wth a liquid layout so
when my site is viewed by "most people" then my site will
completely consume a viewers viewport - or very close to it.
If I need to design the mock-up less then 1004 - or more then
    - and still be able to end up with the same end result in a liquid
    form - so be it.
I don't know the best way to proceed -
I'm just attempting to learn from others who respond and for
the most part those who have been kind enough and taken the time to
respond seem to be very knowlegeable about my issue at hand.
You might find this hard to believe but I am learning quite a
bit from all of you and I really do appreaciate it.
Well now that this responce is as long as the novel "War
    & Peace" - I'll close here.

  • Full Width 'Basic' Slideshow

I am trying to make the slideshow on my page full width, which will expand with the window size.  I have dragged to the edges of the screen but it doesn't go to edge of the screen when previewing in a browser.
    Could someone please help?!
    Thanks,
    Jon

100% width is a CSS BASIC. I don't get it. Designers are using 100% in their designs...it's very popular. How did this one roll off the table? 100% slide shows are years old. Nothing new...I don't get the "miss" on this but it would be nice to have a Creative Cloud membership that has complete products rather than a bunch of them that are constantly being sourced for customer feedback. No one wants a produict in eternal preview and it used to be that "previews" or betas were a user's option.
I think Adobe needs to remove "preview" products from CC - no one wants to be met with the frustratin of a product that does not have all the considerations...esoecially when they are paying $50 a month. it's like paying for pain.
In the case of not having 100% width for slideshows, it's kinda like building a house with doors.
