You can't plan the cost of external network activity period wise. The lowest level you can plan period wise is WBS Element level.

How to check plan line items for plan cost at network activity level? The plan cost is done in network activity in CJ20N.
I am not able to check using CJI4 or CJI9 report.

Hi Jess,
Have you checked the navigation part which is being displayed on left hand side of report S_ALR_87013565 and S_ALR_87013533.? There you have option to check transaction currency and object currency when you double click on it.
In case if it is not being displayed under navigation. Then you can bring them on from transaction code CJE2. For eg: Report group for S_ALR_87013533 is 12KST1C. Double click on it and it will open up to do changes in report layout and many more. There you also have options to bring on transaction currency too. Similarly, you can check for other report groups as well just by checking the report description.
But I am not sure if suits your requirements. Wait for other experts to comment on this.

PS tables for Network Activity elements

I am trying to find the tables for Network Activity elements and its relationship with Activity (PS Module).
There are Std BAPIs to get the data.
But I want the table field names since it would be used by the XI team for data mapping.

Thanks for yr information. we can select the object WBS, and shall be able to view PS texts in overview and create PS Texts.
My requirement rather, question is, can we attach any documents without having DMS. ie., can we assign any of the Windows document which are available in hard disc?

How to make cost element field appear when create network activity service

Hi All,
Please help. We create a project ,wbs and network activity using external service. How can we make appear the cost element when the service master appear. The system require cost element but we cannot see the cost element field.
Steps :
*. CJ20n.
*. Create WBS and network header
*. Then network activity for external service.
*. Then it appears service specifications : ext specs Task List Maintain
*. I Put Service no, and the error message appears :
Please enter a cost element
Message no. SE121
*. But we can find where the cost element is. It seems the field disappear.

Yes. It is already blank. But the cost element field still not appears when we create activity service. It shows :
Please specify a valid account assignment
Message no. SE181
Diagnosis
You have entered an account assignment category in the document item for which an account assignment is mandatory.
All account assignment lines in the service specifications either have been deleted or are inactive (e.g. account assignment lines of a contingency item).
Procedure
Please enter an account assignment for the services or value limits.
The entry of an account assignment is unnecessary if you choose "unknown account assignment" in the document item.

Project related tables and link for services in Network Activity

Dear Experts,
    My requirement is I need a table for services in Network activity before release of Network and link for services to another table(Project related before PR).
Ex : Network             Activity           Service

      So I need Service field, which is updating in ESLL was unable to link with another table to get the Project Number. So please help me .

Trying to find the Network Activity number from the CATSPS table

Hi Experts
I am trying to build a report to show unprocessed time on Network Activities. The time is entered via CAT2 and transferred to CATSPS via the CATA job.
Once the data hits the table, an internal system number is given to activity.
I have the following example:
Say I have three Network Activities all linked to the same Network and WBS as follows:
Network   Activity #
43000121 0001
43000121 0002
43000121 MTS
When I post time against the 2nd and 3rd NWAu2019s, CATSPS has the following entries:
RNPLNR               RAUFPL                RAPLZL
000043000121    0000000182         00000002
000043000121    0000000182         00000003
Now the RAPLZL field has no visual link to the NWA.
Does anyone know of the Internal table that holds the link between the RAPLZL field and the Activity that is represents.
I have already looked at PLPO (no entries).
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Match the entries RAUFPL, RAPLZL of CATSPS with AUFPL, APLZL of AFVC table, you will get the activity number(VORNR)

Actual Cost not updating to Network Activity from CATS

Dear All,
Am back here for the expert suggestions / guidance.
I am facing issue with respect to system not updating the actual cost in network activity / projects posted through time sheet i.e. CATS. I have planned my resource cost through work centre assigned with activity type, formula and cost centre. I have kept the employee master data in place with maintaining the 315 infotype. In CAT2 i am posting the respective time sheet on the particular network activity and am transferring the cost into projects by CAT5, the plan cost is getting updated but actuals are not hitting the projects.
Kindly do the needful and suggest me if am missing something out of the track

HI Gokul,
There wasn't any error during confirmation and i have also checked in CN30 as well as COFC transaction. It is posting the time and the activity is getting the PCNF status set but there isn't any actuals posted. I used CATA for some activity and also used CAT5 for certain activity both are not posting actuals on projects.

Costs on internal network activity

I use SAP ECC6, actually.
I created an internal network activity and I linked it a work center and an activity type.
When I run a report, every report, I don't see the costs relative to this network activity.
Please, could you help me?

Hi,
Please ensure you have followed following steps:
1. Assigned cost center and activity type on costing view of workcenter. After this assignment when you assign work center to activity, the activity type gets automatically populated.
2. Maintain rate for activity type in Tcode KP26. Take help of your FI consultant.
3. If your system is not calculating cost during saving of project, you need to manually calculate cost. Click on activity and press CtrlF10 to calculate cost and CtrlF11 to display cost.

Then object currency for network activity                   field AFVGD-OWAER is                            u201CEURu201D
For Material planning in networks Currency Key     field TKA01-WAERS is                               u201CCHFu201D
Before reporting, I would like see the above currencies as equal using CJ20N.

Use below link for table linkage. From Proejct You should get WBS from WBS you should get Network activity via Counter SAP Project System - A ready Reference ( Part 2 )
Pass this network NPLNR (Network Number for Account Assignment ) and AUFPL in to table EKKN. Check flag for that Purchase document is not deleted via field LOEKZ

In our model planning process is carried out by internal activities and costs activities network throught unit costing; in both types of activities we use equal distribution of planned costs. We would like to know if itu2019s possible planned manual values in our activities network for each period to align planned costs to actual costs in planning version 000. Are there any Bapi or other standard functions to solve this problem?
We canu2019t use standard forecast tool because, in our model, all network types are defined in customizing with planning flag set.

Symptom
When a new network activity is created using BAPI, BAPI_BUS2002_ACT_CREATE_MULTI and then the newly created activities are
reverted by using BAPI BAPI_TRANSACTION_ROLLBACK,the control objects of newly created activities are not reverted, therefore when you perform a
commit of the transaction by using BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT, a short dump'ILLEGAL_TEMPORARY_OBJNR' occurs.
Other terms
short dump 'ILLEGAL_TEMPORARY_OBJNR', CKCOUEB, Costing Sheet, Posting Date, Overhead key, CK_F_CO_OBJECT_ALL_REFRESH, BAPI_PS_INITIALIZATION.
Reason and Prerequisites
This is caused by program error. This note references SPC 770601 and created for corrections to be included in support package.
Solution
Implement the source code corrections.

PS table structure for Unit Costing

Hi,
The requirement is:
For every Network -> Network Activity combination , we need to get the Unit Costing for each Network Activity.
We have tried with CKHS and CKIS tables but we couldnt get a link.
The output should be of the form:
Network Network Activity Cost Element Qty Rate Amt
Could anybody suggest what are the standard tables and linkages to get this out.
