Table of Origin for Datasources.

Hello Experts,
Can anybody tell me the table of origin for these Master Data Sources
1)0COSTELMNT_TEXT
2)0EMPLOYEE_ATTR
3)0GL_ACCOUNT_ATTR
4)0MOVE_TYPE_TEXT
5)0PROFIT_CTR_ATTR
6)0CUST_COMPC_ATTR
7)0VEN_COMPC_ATTR
I was able to find most of the other datasources, but these seven have eluded me.Would also be great if someone can also post a list of some common data sources along with their table of origin.Thank you for your time.

  • Table of origin for a field in extract structure ??

Is there a way to look at the extract structure of a datasource and know the tables from which its pulling the data from ?
I know I can always get them from help.sap.com by going to datasources and can look at the table of origin for a particular field...
I was wondering if I can look at the same information on the system.
    I appreciate your replies ..
    Thanks,
    Rishi.

    Rishi,
we can know get the tables in different ways, the best way and easy way to search the tables is HELP.SAP.COM as you said. you can use communication structure, ST05, SM50.
    All the best.

  • Table of origin for a specific field in the extract structure

    Hello
I'm currently working with the sap bw data source 0HE_SLC_PCP_1 (higher education & research). Now, I'd like to know the name of the table of origin where the GUID 16 (CQGUID; field of the according extract structure) is stored on the R/3.
Can someone tell me how I can find that table? Unfortunately, the SAP documentation doesn't contain that data source, only e.g. 0HE_SLC_REG_1 --> http://help.sap.com/SAPHELP_NW04s/helpdata/EN/38/26957aad7545e2b4d79aa4675cfa18/content.htm
    Thank you for your help
    Patrick

One option is you find the data element of that field GUID.
Now go to SE11 transaction and in data type put that data element and press where used list. In that select tables.
This will give you a list of tables where that field is used.
But again if there are lots of them it will be difficult to find.
The only option in that case is debug the extractor and find out.

  • To find out the Table of Origin and Field in Table of Origin.

    Hi Experts,
I am in the middle of completing someone else's documentation after a handover.
Here are th columns that I need to update in the documentation:
    1) Field in Extraction Structure     2) Description of Field in the Extraction Structure 3) Table of Origin 4) Field in Table of Origin
Most of them are already done. There are only four tables from which all these fields originate.
Could you let me know how should I find out where a field has originated from.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Chandu.

    Hi,
it will depend on the datasource: you'll to do the hereunder in the source system
    - if LO/LIS (2LIS....) you can goto LBWE, extract structure maintenance; in the filed selection screen you'll see e.g. "MCtttt ffffff text"; usually the tttt is the table and ffffff is the field. Cross check if the field is really in the table via SE11.
    - if generic, then goto RSO2 and then it will depend if it is a view/table/domain; double click on it or goto SE11; if infoset SQ01; if extract structure then you'll have to analyze the function module extractor ABAP code;
    - for others it will depend....
    hope this helps...

  • Issue with table ROOSPRMSF entries for data source 0FI_AP_4

    Hi Experts,
I am facing with an issue where we found incosistencies with table ROOSPRMSF in R/3 system.
In BW , we have done initializations based on fiscal period selections (none of the selections overlap) for data source 0FI_AP_4.
We have done in total 7 initializations. So in BW system in table RSSDLINITSEL we have 7 initialization requests.
But in R/3 system we have 49 records for data source 0FI_AP_4 in ROOSPRMSF table out of which 42 are invalid records.
I suspect that these 42 invalid records are created due to the execution of program RSSM_OLTP_INIT_DELTA_UPDATE when the tables ROOSPRMSF are actually holding the 7 initialization request entries.   Due to this each and every initialization request is linked to rest of the other intialization requests and ended with 49 records in table ROOSPRMSF table.
Now our data loads are running fine but daily a short dump is raised . In the daily loads, BW init records in RSSDLINITSEL are compared with ROOSPRMSF entries and all the other 42 records which are invalid are written into system log and a short dump is raised.
In order to fix these inconsistencies i checked for OSS note 852443. (Point 3 in OSS note)
But it is specified to delete the delta queue for data source 0FI_AP_4 in RSA7 and instructed to execute the program RSSM_OLTP_INIT_DELTA_UPDATE so that the ROOSPRMSF table will be reconstructed with valid records available in RSSDLINITSEL.
From OSS note 852443 point 3
"3. If the RSSDLINIT table in the BW system already contains entries, check the requests listed there in the RNR column in the monitor (transaction RSRQ). Compare these entries with the entries in the ROOSPRMSF and ROOSPRMSC tables with the INITRNR field. If, in the ROOSPRMSF and ROOSPRMSC tables for your DataSource source system combination, there are more entries with different INITRNR numbers, use transaction RSA7 in an OLTP source system to delete all entries and then use the RSSM_OLTP_INIT_DELTA_UPDATE report mentioned in the next section. For a DataMart source system, delete the entries that you cannot find in the RSSDLINIT table using the procedure described above."
My question is if we delete the delta queue in RSA7 then all the tables in R/3 (ROOSPRMSF, ROOSPRMSC, Time stamp table) and BW (RSSDLINITSEL, initialization requests will be deleted) will be cleared. Then how will the program RSSM_OLTP_INIT_DELTA_UPDATE  copy entries into ROOSPRMSF table in R/3 ?
Could any one please clarify this ?
    Thanks
    Regards,
    Jeswanth

    Hi Amarnath,
Did you unhide the new field in RSA6 and regenerated the DataSource?
Often SAP will populate newly added fields (belonging to the same (set) of table(s) used for extraction) automatically (e.g. SAP uses 'move-corresponding' in it's extractor-code, or, in this case, reading all fields from the DD, FM BWFIU_TRANSFORM_FIELDLIST).
If the DataSource looks fine to you and the field is still not populated in RSA3 you can't go without a user-exit.

  • How to find out the tables related to CRM datasources?

How to find out the tables related to CRM datasources? For example, the table related to 0CRM_OPPT_H.
    Regards,
    R.Ravi

    Hi Ravi,
To find out all tables used go into the CRM source system to transaction RSA3 and prepare the selections for extraction of your datasource.
In a parallel session execute transaction ST05 and press the button 'Activate Trace'
Go back to the extracor checker and execute the extraction.
Switch sessions and subsequently 'Deactivate Trace' and 'Display Trace'.
This will list all tables used.

Find the Exact  exits and badis for ur requirement.
How to fine the exact badi:
    1) Goto se24 (Display class cl_exithandler)
    2) Double click on the method GET_INSTANCE.
    3) Put a break point at Line no.25 (CASE sy-subrc).
    Now
    4) Execute SAP standard transaction
    5) Press the required button for which you need to write an exit logic, the execution will stop at the break point.
    6) Check the values of variable 'exit_name', it will give you the BADI name called at that time.
    7) This way you will find all the BADIs called on click of any button in any
    transaction
    Rgds,
    P.Naganjana Reddy
if you follow this 7 steps, you will find a suitable BADI.

  • Incorrect logical system name for datasources - entry not in TADIR

    Hi all,
I currently can't replicate or edit any of my data sources because, after we applied some patches, the logical system name appears to be incorrect and a message is displayed saying the R3TR RSDS entry does not exist in table TADIR.
    For example:
Object directory entry R3TR RSDS 0EMPLOYEE_0016_ATTR           R3DEV does not exist.
That's correct, because all entries exist for my actual source system CD1CLNT175, not for SAP standard R3DEV.
Does anybody have any idea how I can update my source system configuration/mapping? I've looked on the forum but couldn't
    find a clear cut answer.
    Thanks a lot!
    Markus

    Hi all,
I think the solution lies in SAP note 1604726 "DataSources with package assignment cannot be activated"
    1. When you access the change transaction RSDS, the system issues error message TK 753 "Object directory entry R3TR ... does not exist" twice.
    2. When you try to activate the DataSource, the system issues error message TK 425 "Invalid call sequence for interfaces when recording changes".
My message is TK753.. and before that I receive TK425, I guess we have to apply SP28... time for Mario and Luigi to apply some pizzas... ehmm patches...!
I will let you know if that solved the problem, thanks for your help guys!

  • Finding source database table/column name for a column in a view

Hi i need to be able to identify the original database table/column name for a column in a view.
e.g. say i have a view like this
create v1 as select a.name fname, b.name bname, c.name cname,......
    from u1.names a, u2.names b. u3.names c
    where .....
Now I want to find out that the database table/column name for the fname, bname and cname columns in the view v1, which in this instance is u1.name.name, u2.names.name, u3.names.name.
But i need to be able to do it for any view. Short of parsing the SQL is there an easy way of doing this?
Now obviusly I can't do this for virtual columns but I will know my column is not virtual as it has an index on it.

But i need to be able to do it for any view. Short of
parsing the SQL is there an easy way of doing this? No, parsing the SQL is the only way. Good luck it is not something I would want to attempt.

  • Turning Tables in ABAP for ALV Display

    Dear all,
I am running in a (for me) tricky problem:
I read any table definitions from the dictionary with function "DDIF_TABL_GET". In the next step I want to build a ALV Grid that displays some of the read data but not in rows but in lines.
Ok how does this look like:
For example use funktion DDIF_TABL_GET and use table MAKT as table parameter:
    Result:
TABNAME                        FIELDNAME                      DD POSI K M ROLLNAME                       CHECKTABLE                     A I INTLEN REFTABLE
    MAKT                           MANDT                          DE 0001 X   MANDT                          T000                           0 C 000003
    MAKT                           MATNR                          DE 0002 X   MATNR                          MARA                           0 C 000018
    MAKT                           SPRAS                          DE 0003 X   SPRAS                          T002                           0 C 000001
    MAKT                           MAKTX                          DE 0004     MAKTX                                                         0 C 000040
    MAKT                           MAKTG                          DE 0005     MAKTG                                                         0 C 000040
Ok what I want to do now is dynamically create a alv-Grid that shows the entries from the result above as list:
    Example:
    MAKT     MAKT     MAKT     MAKT     MAKT
    MANDT     MATNR     SPRAS     MAKTX     MAKTG
    DE     DE     DE     DE     DE
    0001     0002     0003     0004     0005
    X     X     X
    MANDT     MATNR     SPRAS     MAKTX     MAKTG
There is a funktion in Excel called "Transponieren" (transpond) that does the same I search.
So the secret question is how to do this with ALV and dynamically???
    Any idea?
Kind reagard for any hints and helps
    Roman Becker

    Hi Roman,
my answer is kind of abstract: I implemented just the internal tables transposal.
I defined a structure of 99 string components, si you can put in whatever you want.
For illustration I fill the table with identifiers for row and column and the do the exel-like transposal.
The original table is lt_itab, the transposed one lt_trsp.
I used the string component's structure a couple of times now. This is smart because it won't waste more memory than needed.
Just cut&paste to get an idea, hope you like it!
    FORM tab_transpose.
