am working on HR Payroll module.am fetching data from table PA0015.i want to know if we add new records in table.. how can we recgonize ?is there any status field?
what is start date and end date?

In PA0015 table, there are two fields namely Changed on(AEDTM) and Changed by(UNAME) which actually shows the recently stored record.
In PA30 the most recent record will be displayed first.

when I check table PA0015 there is a feild for text element maintained ITXEX (Text Exists for Infotype) but it only shows whether the long text is maintained or not for the infotype . it does not show the actual text maintained

I need to give acess to tables PA**** in se16 to the end user but he must only access the master data that we can see.
For example if the user from PORTUGAL as autorization to see employees only from compamy 1000 the output of transaction se16 table PA0015 must only include employees from company 1000.

Please inform your basis personnel to manage the authorization Object - S_TABU_DIS (Field: ACTVT as '03' & DICBERCLS for authorization group as per your need, in your case for table - PA0015 it is PA).
Also if you wish to manage cross client tables use the authorization object - S_TABU_CLI & use the object - S_TABU_LIN for more control on the data being accessed via SE16.

Protect sensitive HR tables from ABAPer and BASIS

We are trying to work out some security authorizations where in we can protect HR master data through direct access to HR tables through SE16 or SM30 for info type tables like PA0008 or PA0015 etc. I know that these tables have authorization group 'PA' and we can build a role using S_TABU_DIS using this autho group but we have about 30 such infotypes to be protected. If we build a role with S_TABU_DIS and Auth group='PA' we will land up protecting all the Infotypes. Other problem is that if we create a new auth group 'ZPA' for these 30 infotype tables, thats too much customization as we might have problems during future upgrades.
My question to the forum members is - What solutions were explored or implemented for such situations?

Maintain all such sensitive infotypes in a Z table. Implement a proper BAdi/Enhacement that will be called whenver user accesses the transactions that you want to restrict and validate against that Z table. If the entry exists in Z table raise an error message saying 'You are not authorized' else display.
You would need to bypass this validation for users other than ABAPer or BASIS. For that you may need to maintain proper naming convention or some logic.
Please check this sample program from other thread to find BADI and enhancement for a given transaction code. You just need to create a custom program in your system by cut and paste below codes.

2. Double click on to the program name and go inside the program (Abap editor)
3. Search for "Call Customer-function " ... and u'll get some search results .. If u get results then u have enhancement in that tcode .....
4. Then it actually calls a Function module .... copy the Function module name .... go to SE80 (object navigator) click on "Repository Information system" then Customer Enhancements .... Give the Function module name in the "Components" field and click Execute ....
ull get a list of Enhancements related to that Componene....
5. Choose which ever enhancement will suit ur business need ..
6. Go to CMOD... create a project .... assign ur enhancement ... and then code ur logic.... activate ur enhancement in CMOD ....... Ur Buisness need will be solved...

But when I check on table PA2010 or PA0015, the cost assignment is not included. Is there any other table linked to this ?

How to find an extractor for a table
If I know the data I want to load into BW is in a specific table in R3, i.e. PA0014, what technique do I use to see if there is a Business Content extractor that will give me the data I want?

PA0014 HR Master Record: Infotype 0014 (Recur. Payments/Deds.)
PA0015 HR Master Record: Infotype 0015 (Additional Payments)
PA0045 HR Master Record: Infotype 0045 (Company Loans)
cubes :
1) Payroll Data 0PY_C02
2) Benefits 0PABN_C01
Basic pay detals comes from Payroll data Cube by a specfic wage type.others thing from Benefits cube by different Benefit areas
Pls try to use the standard business Content datasource 0HR_PY_1 and infosource 0HR_PY_1.

MB5B Report table for Open and Closing stock on date wise
Hi Frds,
I am trying get values of Open and Closing stock on date wise form the Table MARD and MBEW -Material Valuation but it does not match with MB5B reports,
Could anyone suggest correct table to fetch the values Open and Closing stock on date wise for MB5B reports.

i got an error while dropping a table which is
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kghstack_free1], [kntgmvm: collst], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], []
i know learnt that -600 error is related to dba. now how to proceed.

sri ram.00600 errors should be raised as service request with Oracle as it implies some internal bug.
You can search oracle support first to see if anyone has had the same class of 00600 error, and then if not (and therefore no patch) raise your issue with Oracle.
