Tables: Changing size of text globally

Hello all,
I am working in Indesign CS2 and I've come across a table that a previous co-worker had created and I need to change the text size in most of the rows in the table. Is there an easy way to do this instead of selecting each cell individually? Any help would be appreciated as I am working on this task right now.
Thank you

Click in the table, then place the mouse toward the top or the left side (depending on which rows/columns you need to change), when you see the arrow click and that will highlight the whole row or column. Then you can change the text size in the character pallette.

how do you change size of text cursor or 'insertion point' in adobe ID cc for mac?  I have looked everywhere.  It's possible in Windows and Word but not in Mac.  Please help.  I spend half my time trying to find that blinking upright bar.

Thanks for your note but it’s still a skinny rod that seems to disappear.  Why can’t it become a little thicker so it doesn’t disappear no matter what size I have set the screen?  My poor old eyes aren’t what they used to be.  I do appreciate your answering and I’ll enlarge the screen so the blankety-blankety blinking rod is at least visible.  Nancy

Cursor size is governed by the type size and will be be larger or smaller on screen depending on how close you are zoomed in.

  • Text in Table - changing size in table

    Hi,
    I've migrated from go-live to DWCS3.
    http://www.mnuzzo.com/routing.html
Is the page I've been editing.
I added a row - the one that appears shifted (nebraska)
The old table editor is different in DW - as compared to
    GoLive.
(is there a way to see the table like in go live?)
I can't figure out what is changing the size of the cells.
The table should be aligned like this page:
    http://www.mnuzzo.com/plans.html
    Any suggestions?
I just found the missing HTML code - so I can fix it now.
But how can I fix it using the GUI tools in DreamWeaver?
    Thank you.
    Cheers

Was there a way to see the table in GL like in DW? 8)

Shifted how? Looks OK to me in IE7 and FF2x.
What is it you are missing in DW's table display?

  • How to change size of text bounding box in FW CS5?

I can't find anywhere how to make the text bounding box the same size as the text within it.  Something got switched in my FW so that now every new text box is about 3x or more higher than the text typed inside.  How to change this?

Moving the text box is the only thing a user can do with it.  The size can't be changed.  You can create a custom page with the same background and add any sized text area you'd like.  This tutorial describes how: 19 - Creating a Custom Page, with the Theme's Background for an iPhoto Book.

check out the smart styles...create a font of ur size n use.
Define the paragraphs & character formats using SMARTSTYLES & use them in your smartform.
You have to give the smartstyle name in the Form attributes-->Output options for the formats to be used in your smartform.
You can define font size in Smartform Style.
    Smartform Styles > Charcterformat> Font --> size.
to load the font to SAP server chk this

  • How to change the default text title of Detached table/treetable

    Hi,
Is anybody know How to change the default text title of Detached table/treetable.
I have already read the post on "http://vtkrishn.com/2010/07/28/how-to-change-the-default-text-title-of-detached-tabletreetable/"
as per this post It will change the title throughout the application.
I wanted to change only for one particular table.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
please don't double post and instead continue with your original threat. In the previous post you got the correct answer to use skinning. You did not like the solution as it doesn't allow per-instance titles. I agree with this and a logical consequence is to file an enhancement request instead of re-posting the question. I'll file the ER, so no need to follow up for you anymore

  • Is it possible to do a GLOBAL color change for both text and graphics in ACrobat XI?

I used to do this using the Pitstop Pro plugin but now Pitstop is almost $900 and this is the only thing that I would use it for, not worth the investment
I can change text color by selecting individual text items, but I want to change all of the red text into white text
I also need to change all of the red graphics into white graphics and I can't figure out how to do that either
I have a trial version of XI on a Mac and will buy it if it can do what I am trying to do, i.e. global color changes to both text and graphics
    thanks!!

I have version 6, but it is way out of date, doesn't work on my current system, I downloaded a trial version of the new one, version 12 I think, now I have to decide if I can afford to buy it, it is not cheap!
oops, sorry, I didn't read your entire message, aargh!
I'll check with them if I can upgrade from this early version, thanks for the suggestion!

  • How to change the font size of text element in smartform

    Hi
i want to know how to change the font size of text element in smartform
    regards
    Gincy

    Hi
You can create Smartstyles, in which you can define paragraph formats for texts and character formats for character level changes.
Paragraph format ---> alignment, font size etc
character format for ---> superscript, subscript.
After creating, in your smartform, there will be a option in the text element to enter a style.
You give the created style and you can use the paragraph and character formats i that style.
    Hope this is clear..

How to change the font size of Text box tool ?
I am using Acrobat PDF 6.0
Tools > Advanced Commenting > Text Box Tool
I need to know how to change the font size. The default font size is too big.
    let me know
    Thanks

I do not have AA6 available right now (I can check at home this evening). I am also using AA Pro, not Std. In AA7, there is a text box tool that is a commenting tool. When I started typing, a properties toolbar came up that had the font size and such. I haven't figured out how to get the toolbar after the fact. In AA8, I selected the text box tool and then went to view and selected the properties bar (the font size and all showed then), or use Ctrl-E when editing the text. I have not been able to figure out how to edit the text in a text box after you have created it - think it is a mental block right now. Bill

    Adobe Acrobat 7
How do I Change the Font or Font Size in Text Box that I have inserted in a previously created .pdf file.
Could not find any info on this in Help file. Thanks for any help.

Use the text touchup tool, select the text, and right click to change the properties. If you mean a different type of text box, then look for the same type of changes, but use the same tool you used to create the text.

  • Change Table control Column Header text dynamically

    Hi,
I have an requirement to change table control column header text dynamically.
i.e. I have about 10 columns in table control, out that need to change 5 columns header text. These header texts are stored in an internal table.
I had looked into the below link but could not get exactly how to do it.
    Dynamic headers in table control
Could you please tell me how to do that.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi Saba,
What you will need to do is this.....
    1. First replace the column Header Text box by I/O Fields and name them accordingly.
Say for example we will consider the same example which i had explained in the link.
there in the column header we want the header to change when some dates and entered into two fields which are out of table control say
Start Date: 01.01.2010 to End Date: 06.01.2010
Now we want the header to look like this,
    Column  No.    -        1               2             3                  4               5               6
    Header label   -    01/FRI       02/SAT     03/SUN       04/MON     05/TUE      06/WED
    Header name -    SPOTS1   SPOTS2    SPOTS3      SPOTS4     SPOTS5    SPOTS6
then you go as per the instructions in the link......
Let me know if you need further help,
    Hope this solves your problem....

You will need to create and save your own template, set to whatever you want.
The default style is Body :
    +Menu > View > Show Styles Drawer+
+Select some text > style it as you wish > Styles Drawer > click on the red triangle next to Body > Redefine style from selection+
Save as Template and set that to open by default in Pages' Preferences.
