Tables in document header?

After upgrading to the new Pages APP and then opening my company letter document which had a table within the document header with the company logo, address and page numbers in three separate cells, all of the table, cells and their contents were wiped out and now I have no document header data at all.
What's up?

Follow-on:
Never could get the new Pages to accept a table or graphic into the document header so I'm back to using my '09 Pages. However, I have to be careful to open legacy documents from within '09 so that the new Pages doesn't launch, open the document and wipe out my document header.
This seems really wrong. Why would an old and valuable functionality be removed from the new Pages? (I've been using this functionality in Pages and Word for years.) Is there something I'm not doing right? Is there a workaround that allows me to put a masthead on a Pages document that shows in all subsequent pages without using the "header?"

  • Table where document header stored

    Hi,
      Please let me know how to delete the documents in template tab of the Cproject structure.
      In which table is the document header stored?
    Regards,

    Ramalakshmi,
    cProject template is also a project and its information is also stored in DPR_PROJECT table. If standard BAPI is not deleting the documents stored in cProject template, you may try to use the classes.
    1. Get the instance of CL_DPR_APPL_OBJECT_MANAGER
    2. Load cProject Template using method LOAD_PROJECTS
    3. Get hold the instance of CL_DPR_PROJECT_O from export paramter  ET_PROJECTS of method
    4. Read public attribute MR_DOCUMENTS type CL_DPR_DOCUMENTS of CL_DPR_PROJECT_O
    5. Use method GET_ALL to get all the documents stored  ( table of CL_DPR_DOCUMENT)for this cProject template.
    6. Use DELETE method to delete one of the documents using CL_DPR_DOCUMENT class.
    7. Save the cProject using IF_DPR_PROVIDER_TRANSACTION~DO_SAVE method of CL_DPR_APPL_OBJECT_MANAGER
    Please let me know if it works for you.

  • Function Module to Edit Billing Document Header (table VBRK)

    Hi all,
    Can someone tell me if there is a function module that can edit the billing document header please?  I do not need to created the billing document, it already exists.  I just need to edit specific fields.
    Many thanks.

    The requirement is to update these 2 fields in the table VBRK:
    BSTNK_VF (customer po number)
    ZUONR (assignment number)
    The client uses these 2 fields for non-standard purposes.
    Actually I was already trying to use the FM RV_INVOICE_DOCUMENT_UPDATE, but I am unable to make it work, for some reason.
    For that function, I only passed VBRK as table, nothing else.  Specifically, I retrieved the header from VBRK, modify the 2 fields, then pass it to the VBRK table parameter of the function.

  • Transfer document header text from billing document to FI document

    Dear all,
    Where do I specify that the document header text out of the billing document should be transferred to the corresponding FI document?
    Currently, the FI document header text (BKPF-BKTXT) remeans blank after transfer from billing document. We need this field to be filled in, but I haven't found how to have this filled in.
    In copy control from sales doc to billing doc, there is the possibility to transfer the Reference number & Assignment, but nothing about document header texts.
    Some say that it would only be possible via coding, but anybody has any idea if it might be possible via standard SAP?
    Many thanks!
    Best regards

    Hi,
    We also had a bit same requirement, which is to copy the billing header text to FI item text (BSEG-SGTXT). The solution we took is to use FI Substitution (t-code GGB1), so that every time a FI document created from SD... the substitution reads the billing header text and put it in the FI item text. I think the same method could be used for FI header text (BKPF-BKTXT). Below is the solution for your reference.
    Prerequisite:
    Document Type = 'RV' AND Reference <> '' AND
    ( Transaction code = 'VF01' OR Transaction code = 'VF02' OR
    Transaction code = 'VF03' )
    Substitution:
    Using exit which coding is as below.
    *&      Form  u900
          Copy Billing Header Text to SGTXT
         -->P_SGTXT    FI Item Text
    FORM u900 USING p_sgtxt TYPE bseg-sgtxt.
      DATA: lv_name TYPE thead-tdname,
            lt_line TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF tline,
            lw_line TYPE tline.
      lv_name = bkpf-xblnr.
      CALL FUNCTION 'READ_TEXT'
        EXPORTING
          id                      = 'Z001'
          language                = sy-langu
          name                    = lv_name
          object                  = 'VBBK'
        TABLES
          lines                   = lt_line[]
        EXCEPTIONS
          id                      = 1
          language                = 2
          name                    = 3
          not_found               = 4
          object                  = 5
          reference_check         = 6
          wrong_access_to_archive = 7
          OTHERS                  = 8.
      IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
        READ TABLE lt_line
          INTO lw_line
          INDEX 1.
      In Billing Header Text, the sign '&' (ampersand) is automatically
      added some characters so it becomes '<(>&<)>'.
      The logic below is to fix that issue.
        REPLACE ALL OCCURRENCES OF '<(>' IN lw_line-tdline WITH space.
        REPLACE ALL OCCURRENCES OF '<)>' IN lw_line-tdline WITH space.
        p_sgtxt = lw_line-tdline.
      ENDIF.
    ENDFORM.

  • How can I insert a table in the header?

    The question is easy: How can I insert a table of one row in the header.
    Thanks in advance.
    Jesús.

    There are multiple versions of Pages in circulation on Mavericks and Yosemite. Telling us which one helps with a more accurate answer.
    If you are referring to Pages v5, then you cannot insert a table into the header or footer, because implicitly, these are table cells too. The discontinued Pages ’09 v4.3 would allow table insertion in the document header/footer fields.

  • FI document Header text formation using tcode F110 (Automatic payment )

    After completion of tcode F110 i.e. completion of a cycle of automatic payment transaction
    Then we can see header text of created FI document number by using tcode fb03.
    But the header text created through F110 has a concatenation of Run Date and Identification.
    There is problem that how it can happen?
    I have gone through all program code; there is no such direct coding for concatenation of header text, rather concatenate happens at different level of coding.
    We can create FI document using FB01 also and there is choice to enter Header text manually as well as we can select it using F4 help.
    Any one has any IDEA regarding this?
    Thanks,

  • Customer Master - Sales text copy to Sales Document Header

    Hello,
    I have properly configured the text types, access sequences, and text procedures to take text from the Customer - Sales & Distribution and copy to the Sales Document Header.  After testing this in my DEV system, everything is working appropriately.
    I have transported these changes to my QA system, all transports went through successfully.  All configuration is now the same between my DEV and QA systems, and the access sequences are recognized in both systems via the TTXERN table.
    All changes were made using transaction VOTXN.
    The problem is that when performing my test in QA, the text is not copied from the Customer Master - Sales Area text to the Sales Document Header text.  When going to the Text Determination Analysis view, it states 111 - Access Sequence does not exist.  When selecting Customizing, it clearly shows that the access sequences do exist.
    Has anyone encountered this issue?  I have checked SAP notes but have not found a proper resolution for this issue.

  • Document header text in Fb03

    Hi all,
    In ml81n transaction there is a field called external number which is stored in ESSR table.
    Now when i go to mrrl and display the fi document i will be taken to Fb03 transaction. If i click the documnet header i will get another window which has documen header text. Now in this document header text i need to display the external number that was used in ml81n transaction.
    I tried with enhancement points at some points. but it was not helpful.
    Hope somebody would reply to this post.
    Thanks in advance

    Helpful answers would definitely rewarded.

    Hi,
    You can use READ_TEXT to retreive header text.
    READ_TEXT provides a text for the application program in the specified work areas.
    The function module reads the desired text from the text file, the text memory, or the archive. You must fully specify the text using OBJECT, NAME, ID, and LANGUAGE. An internal work area can hold only one text; therefore, generic specifications are not allowed with these options.
    After successful reading, the system places header information and text lines into the work areas specified with HEADER and LINES.
    You have to used the READ_TEXT functions to read the SAP long text. e.g. Sales Order, Purchase Order Item text etc.
    To check your long text header, go into the long text. Click Goto -> Header
    This will give you OBJECT, NAME, ID, and LANGUAGE.
    Pass them in the FM, you will get the header text that you want.
    Also go through the below link:

  • Document Header Text in BKPF

    Hello
       In BKPF the document header text is case-sentive.If we search for eg. test* then it would return all the texts starting with test(in small) and if we search for TEST* it would return the texts starting with TEST and not test also.I have a select option(Document Header Text) on the selection screen and irrespective of the case it should select all the texts which i give the search for.For e.g if I give test* then it should return texts starting with (test as well as TEST).How can this be achieved?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    There is no simple solution to this. Either you build up a select-option yourself with all possible combinations of "test", "Test", "TEST" etc., or you would select all BKPF records in an internal table (usually not a good idea since this is normally a DB-table with many entries) and translate the BKTXT field to upper case and then select your records.

    John.

  • FB02 does not allow to change Document Header Text

    Hi,
    We are upgrading to ECC 6.00. In T Code FB02 we are not able to change the document header text (BKPF-BKTXT). This feild is grayed out.
    We have done the necessary configuration in Document Change Rules, Document Header- allowing BKPF-BKTXT for change.
    We can see the entry in Table V_TBAER. Please help me to solve this problem. We need to have this feild available for change.
    Regards
    Santosh Hegde

    hi Santosh,
    I understand that you can see the entry (BKPFT-BKTXT) in V_TBAER, but there are two small things to consider: if you doubleclick the line (in V_TBAER), there are two checkboxes, where the first one has to be ticked (field is changable), if the second checkbox is ticked as well, it means the field can be changed if the posting period is open. pls. check just in case...
    if it does not help, I would suggest to open an OSS call about this problem (I did search on my own, but no luck), could be some special SAP error.

  • In Pages, How to copy a table? How to make a table as a Header?

    Hi, How can I copy a table? I selected it , command c, then clicked where I wanted the copy, and clicked command v. Only the text from the table was copied. The table outline did not paste.
    I would like the table to appear under the Header of every page of the document. So I tried placing the table in the Header. Worked for the first page, but did not appear in the Header of the second page ... just a really big Header box.
    Thank you for your help.
    margaretfrommb

    Hi, margaretfromn
    I'm sorry this reply may not solve your problem. I have the same problem as you.
    What I have found that tables can be copied by using "option+drag" WITHIN the document. But, the same technique do not work across documents.
    In Pages '09, there is a function to convert text to table, but it has disappeared in Pages 5 as the other convenient functions.
    Cheers,

  • Possible to insert a HYPERLINK in document HEADER?

    Subject: Possible to insert a HYPERLINK in document HEADER?
    I have a 300 page document, where the first page is a "Table of Contents".
    I would like to provide the readers with a QUICK way ("no-brainer/easy" way) for the reader to JUMP back to that "Table of Contents" page from any place in the document.
    Can I, perhaps, insert a hyperlink to the "Table of Contents" in the document HEADER? Or is there a different way to go about this?
    Thanks for anybody's creative answer (the simpler the better . . . .)

    Hi.
    Thanks for your reply.
    It was originally a Microsoft Word document. I just clicked "convert to pdf" from the toolbar. Then, in Acrobat 8, I have inserted a page-number header.
    Can I perhaps insert a hyperlink within that HEADER . . . pointing back to the first (Table of Contents) page?
