Tables in firefox...

How it going there,
Have a straight forward table with jpg's and text which is
looking fine in ie but some of the jpg's (photos) are offline in
firefox. Have chexked align etc.
Oh also is there anyway of getting a swf to load fully onto
page in ie without it having to be clicked first? I have a menu
button that when clicked the rest of the menu pops out but have to
click on it to make it active so you can see rollover image etc.
Also you can see under;lying outline of swf when you roll over
before clicking it. this does not occur in FF

Pivot table and Firefox 3.6,

Hi,
I have find a issue in pivot table,
I have made a very simple pivot table, with filter region enabled.
I’m using jdeveloper 11g release 1.
When you execute it in firefox 3.6 you can't move the columns or rows. If you look at the error console of firefox you find an error in javascript:
Error: x5.ownerDocument.getBoxObjectFor is not a function

You hit the drag and drop bug in FF3.6. D&D in ff3.6 together with adf rich faces does not work right now :-(

Export excel option is not working in test environment in Firefox.

In our application 'export excel' option is present in 4 different pages. All the excels working in development environment in both IE and FF. In testing env, all the excels working fine in
IE. But only two excels are working in FF in testing env. Remaining not working and 'The connection was reset The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading' error page appears when we click on 'export excel' button. Can any one help on this issue...

You can do one of the following:
Select the table in Firefox and then copy it to the clipboard. In Excel do Paste Special and select either 'Unicode text' or 'text' to copy it into Excel.
Use the Table2Clipboard extension. This will provide the Right-Click menu option, it will copy the data into the clipboard and you can then paste the selection into Excel.

when i using IE and right click any page. you can able to see the "Export to Microsoft Excel” To the Right-Click Menu in Internet Explorer.
when I starting using Firefox it does not give me the option to xport to Microsoft Excel unlike internet explorer.

You can do one of the following:

Can't Create a Table on Hosted ApEx Site.

I have been trying all day to create a table in the hosted sandbox environment for ApEx at http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/htmldb. However, whenever I get to the last page in the wizard and click the Create button, I get a message that says that the connection has been reset. Any ideas?
Also, if I try to just run it as a script, it launches a window with a single Submit button on it but, clicking it does not appear to have any effect. The table never gets created.

It can't be a quota issue. I dropped all the sample tables from the workspace. I tried to create another table (in FireFox) and, as always, I get:
The connection was reset
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
In IE, I get "The page could not be found"

Table (css) text align in ff

does anybody know of an issue where setting a table class
with text-align attributes won't center the text of the table in
firefox?
I can force it to center by adjusting the align attribute in
the <table> tag, but i have a several tables that i would
like to keep control of in my stylesheet... i found a similar
situation on a forum through google, but ended just suggesting to
wrap it in a <div align="center">... Of course i can just set
the table attributes, but i figured i'd check with y'all
first...

I don't think this is what you did. DW doesn't add that when
you save, it
adds that when you create the file. I usually create a plain
text file,
copy and paste the code to be included, and then (depending
on the code
type) save it with an appropriate extension (notwithstanding
my penchant for
monkeybutt), so that the code is properly colored by DW.

Numbers and HTML tables

First off, let me say Hey, I'm new, I'm Jared... thanks to everyone who puts in effort to help people on these forums and I'll be publicly grateful for any assistance. As one who is involved in a great deal of community support I know the effort it takes and y'all rock.
Now my issue : Has anyone figured out a way to get Numbers to turn an HTML table into a spreadsheet without some sort of external script? Does anyone have such an external script?
I'm so bummed I could cry... I've been going thru a great deal of culture shock having been an Excel user for many years and switching to Numbers a while back. Having been in IT and software development for the last 16 years, I came to rely on Excel to be able to split any delimited data into columns on the fly based on my own random delimiter. I also came to rely on Excel to be able to convert any table-style input to a spreadsheet format. Because of these two factors, Excel has been one of my go-to tools over the years for all sorts of analysis.
Enter Numbers... finally, Apple's putting out a spreadsheet! YAY! Oh, ****, wait... hrm. The two main features that make Excel useful to me aren't there.
I have lots of friends that have switch to OS X in the last year, and I've chewed them all out for saying "But in Windows I could..." as they were transitioning. "You're not ON Windows, this is different, get used to it and do what THIS does. Forget Windows... other than knowing how to use a mouse and a keyboard, very little will transfer from one to the other." The problem is that now I'm finding myself sorely tempted to do something similar. "But with Excel I could..!" Ugh!
PS - I exaggerated about crying, but not by much.

I was copying the raw source from the View Source screen, which works in Excel because it converts a set of <table>...</table> tags to the correct values before pasting into the spreadsheet. Really, HTML tables are just tabular XML representations, so it makes sense to me that Numbers should support not just HTML <table /> tag sets but any XML-based tabular data.
In the one which I saw, the tags where extremely variable ones.
All of us may import them using a simple protocol:
open the file in Firefox
Copy paste the table from Firefox, paste in Numbers.
No need to add complementary code in Numbers. Remember, MacOS X is multitask aware.
At this time the only case where I was annoyed is files in which values where separated by variable chunks of spaces. I already wrote that I feel that this kind of file which is a remainder of the typewriter era is perfectly foolish.

Firefox opens blank frames/dialogs

Hello,
I've a problem that sometimes the dialogs I open in Firefox are blank or the buttons are blank. It's quite hard to describe IMO, so I've made some screenshots: http://oi44.tinypic.com/rjfbkg.jpg
It gets fixed if I restart my browser, but it's quite annoying to do so every time.
For example when I installed the add-on that gets troubleshooting information, there wasn't an install and cancel button, but they were blank. The install button also didn't work and I had to restart my browser.

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

This can also be a font problem that the font tables in Firefox somehow get corrupted if it sometimes works and then stops working.
If it happens then you can do a font test to see if you can identify not working (corrupted) font(s).

Wrong character encoding from flash to mysql

Hi, im experiencing problems with character encoding not
functioning correctly when sending from flash to mysql. What i am
doing is doing a contact form in flash which then sends the value
to a php file which takes the values and inserts them into a table.
As i'm using icelandic charecters i need the char encoding to be
either latin1 or utf8 in mysql, or at least i think so. But it
seems that flash or the php document isn't sending in the same
format as i have selected in mysql because all special icelandic
characters come scrambled in the mysql table. Firefox tells me
tough that the html document containing the flash movie is using
utf-8.

I don't know anything about Icelandic characters, but Flash
generally really likes UTF-8. So it should be sending that if that
is what it is starting with.
You aren't using any kind of useCodePage? That will mess it
up.
Are you sure that the input method is Icelandic?
In the testing environment can you list variables (from the
debug menu) and see if they look proper? If they do then Flash is
readying them correctly and the problem must be coming in further
down stream.

FW navbar buttons not working correctly in DW

Hi there,
I have created a navbar in Fireworks with buttons and have exported it to DW. It has rollover behaviours and drop-down menus. I have watched a few tutorials on how to do this and export it to DW. I seem to be doing everything right, but when I preview my html file in the browser or in live view, the rollover behaviours don't work.
Also, I get this issue when I check the Browser Compatibility:
Unsupported value: 'inline-table'
Affects: Firefox 1.5; Internet Explorer 6.0, 7.0; Internet Explorer for Macintosh 5.2; Netscape 8.0

Well, I have used the Spry menus, and bought other CSS menu widget, but one problem that I have with both is
that for some reason (me) when I try to update them, never works, I end up re-doing them all again, and my lack
of knowlege of CSS (getting better) was always a problem
I try to use FW, (first time ever) and believe that this may be it.
Oh well, I may have to change the menu, because it looks just weird

"Warn me when closing multiple tabs" doesn't work

Under Tools > Options > Tabs, "Warn me when closing multiple tabs" is selected. Also, in about:config, browser.tabs.warnOnClose is set to "true". I always have multiple tabs open. However, sometimes my hand slips or the mouse falls off the table and Firefox closes without any warning.

I had this problem too a few monthes ago,
sorry don't remember how I solved the problem...
BUT a general TIP is that you sometimes should fully reinstall Firefox from the scratch.
I mean save your bookmarks (json), have a list of your add-ons,
preferably with their url too, and one for your plugins too, everything safe in a folder in your documents...
And only then "shoot away" Firefox from your computer, profile included...
make a full cleaning of everything belonging to Firefox.
(with Glary utilitises, CC cleaner or any soft alike)
Reinstall everything with the latest Firefox.exe !
This especially if you're used to ( as I am) try new adds, make changes
in about:config... and so on.
I guess it comes because with the "normal way of updating", which I suppose is the case for most people, just to download the updates, Firefox, after a few monthes,
starts to mess a little things around.
And even "Speedyfox" nor defragmentation can't help that much...
Personnaly, I don't like so much to do it, but like that, usually my Firefox works fast and well.
Another solution is to use "FEBE" add-on...
I wish this "general tip" will help some of you, or at least give some indications,
on how you want to solve some Firefox problems :-)
Note : depending on how many add-ons you have, this may take ~30minutes up to 3 hours (:-(), if you have never saved anything before (list from your adds).
PS Me ? I save everything quiet often, because I once lost, years ago, everything concerning Firefox because I did a main mistake (lost all my bookmarks)... and told myself : Not Twice... :-)

Load Data / Upload Script Problem

I hope everyone is having a nice weekend.
I have a very weird situation.
I'm using Internet Explorer and I was loading data. No trouble there. I proceeded to upload a script. I selected the script file and gave it a script name. I clicked Upload and it appears on the screen. I then clicked on the script, the script editor screen appeared in bright red. When I click Run, I get a message on the bottom of the screen (next to my Internet Explorer icon - above my Start button) saying Error On Page. Yet, no specific error appears.
So, I switch over to Firefox and I'm successfully able to run the same script. Now, here's what is weird. I proceeded to upload more data (I'm still in Firefox). I was successful. I go to SQL Workshop, Object Browser, Browse, Tables. A list of tables appears on the left side. I want to view the table definition for the table I just loaded. I select the table and instead of see the table definition displayed, the area is blank. I have no table definition.
I'm a bit confused. I'm having problems loading/creating/running scripts in Internet Explorer which tells me I have an Error on Page but doesn't display any errors.
While at the same time, I'm having problems working with tables in Firefox.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this strange problem?
I can understand, probably, one browser having trouble, but both browsers on two different tasks. This makes no sense to me.
Any help you can give me would be great!

Thank you for replying.
Yes, I do have those two lines beneath my Alias statement. Though, each line had a typo so I fixed them. I rebooted my machine.
After fixing the typos, I went to Firefox to see if I can view the table definitions and yes I am. So the typos did fix the Firefox problem.
I then went to Internet Explorer and tried to click on the SQL script and the same thing is still happening. I clicked the script that I uploaded and a red screen appears. If I try to click anything the Error on Page still appears on the bottom.
The script does work in Firefox. I'm not sure why Internet Explorer is not working.
Should I have done something else after modifying my dads file? Is there some sort of command or do I have to restart a service in order for the updated dad file to be recognized?
Thanks for your help. I hope we can troubleshoot the IE problem.

Can't copy from Excel & Paste into Buzzword anymore?

When Buzzword was in Labs, we used it to copy tables from excel and paste them directly into the buzzword doc without any problems. Now when I copy/paste from excel, I am getting text-only versions of my tables (In Firefox 3.0.17) and weird one-cell tables for each data field in IE7.
Did Adobe remove this functionality?

I'm having the same issue as well...UNLESS it's a feature you have to PAY for in which case is sad.
