Tables not displayed in ODBC database connection (9.0.3.1035 Prod)
Hi,
In 9.0.3 production release, I have created a ODBC connection to a data source. When I open the connection, it shows all the schemas, but when I expand to see the tables, it shows none. I have tested the same in 9.0.2 and it works there. In Tools->Preferences->Database Connection, the two check boxes for "Show all oracle schemas" and "Generate PL/SQL debug " are turned off.
I ran an SQL select in "SQL worksheet" on one of the tables wihtout any problems, but the tables do not show up under schema.
Any suggestions?
Thanks, Raju
What database/odbc driver are you using? It's possible that the way the driver is returning the metadata that JDev can't figure out where the tables are located.

Tables not listed in JDeveloper database connection..
Hi,
I am configuring a DBAdapter project in JDeveloper and the database is mssql server. I could connect to the DB but any of the schema objects are not displayed. I checked the permission for the user in the database and it seems fine and there is no filter . Infact, i can open a sql worksheet for the connected database session from JDeveloper and query tables from the schema. But for creating toplink files and creating the mapping between tables, JDeveloper needs the tables to be listed. But none of the schema objects are listed. Infact i tried with two drivers. One is MSSQL Driver 1.2 as well as JTDS 1.2.3 driver. For connections from both of the drivers, the schema objects are not listed. I dont know whether this is related to the permission for the dbuser to use database metadata or something to do with JDeveloper. Pls. help. I am using JDeveloper 10.1.3.4 and SQL Server 2005. Thanks in advance for your reply.
Thanks,
Kuppusamy.V.,Hi,
The problem is while connecting to SQLServer, the database name should not be specified in the URL as jdbc:sqlserver://devserver111:1433/databaseName=testdb. It should be jdbc:sqlserver://devserver111:1433; This will list the tables for the user used to connect. Spent around 2 days to find the solution. Hope this one will save someone else's time.

Table not displaying properly on dashboard
Hi,
I'm facing an issue after migrating OBIEE 10g reports & dashboards onto OBIEE 11g.
When navigating from a dashboardpage to a dashboardpage with a detail report, the first 25 rows of the detail report are displayed correctly. Clicking the 'Next 25 rows' arrow to page through additional pages with 25 records works fine. However, clicking the 'Display maximum (500) rows per page' arrow, only displays the column headers of the table with 1 empty row, instead of the complete table. The database query does return data (133 rows) but they are not displayed.... Exporting the data to CSV-file works fine.
I've checked all the settings for the report, the dashboardpage, the dashboard itself but I can not find anothing wrong.
Any ideas because I'm beginning to suspect this might be a bug?
Thanks!Hi,
Try the below links and check. May be it can help your chance of viewing the complete set of records.

Dump : Table not found in oracle database
Hi,
I am doing a program regarding analysis of tables belonging to archiving objects. In my program i am calling a RFC function module . 'DB02_ORA_TABLE_INDEX_ANALYSIS . But it is giving the dump for native sql statement .

Dump is table not found in database.
Could please let me know what setting i am missing...
Thanks in advance.....
SudhakarHi,
the view V$PARAMETER must be accessed through SAP/Oracle Database Monitor lets you view the active Oracle database parameters and the contents of the init.ora file.
Alternatively, you can use transaction st04. You need to apply SAP Note 706927 before using the database monitor.
Hope this information is help to you.

Error in odbc database connection
Hi All,
I have created database connection from SAP system to another no sap system (Radar) using the tcode DBCO and maintained the following parameters
DB connection: RADAR_DEV
DBMS : MSS
user Name : RADAR_DVLP
Db password : **********
conn info : msql_server=hostname of SQL server msql_dbname=DB name object_source=DB name
It is gives a below short dump when this db connection (DB connection name) is used in a program by ABAPer
error message
The error occurred in the current database connection "RADAR_DEV".
What can you do?
Print out the error message (using the "Print" function)
and make a note of the actions and input that caused the
error.
To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer
termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion
date.
Error analysis
An exception occurred. This exception will be dealt with in more detail
below. The exception, assigned to the class 'CX_SY_NATIVE_SQL_ERROR', was not
caught, which
led to a runtime error. The reason for this exception is:
How to correct the error
Database error text........: "Line 1: Incorrect syntax near '.'."
Triggering SQL statement...: "FETCH NEXT "
Internal call code.........: "[DBDS/NEW DSQL]"
Please check the entries in the system log (Transaction SM21).
You may able to find an interim solution to the problem
in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself,
use the following search criteria:
"DBIF_DSQL2_SQL_ERROR" CX_SY_NATIVE_SQL_ERRORC
"ZRADAR_EXTRACT" or "ZRADAR_EXTRACT"
"START-OF-SELECTION"
Can you please help me on resolving this issue
Thanks,
VadiHello Vadivambal,
Could you please provide the syntax of line, on which the dump occurs.
Is user RADAR_DVLP able to fetch same data without an ABAP program?

ALV table not displayed in Popup
Hello Experts,
I have created a view which contains an ALV table. This view is embedded in one window.
I am opening this window on click of a button. I am reading data from one custom table and displaying it in ALV.
The problem I am facing is that ALV displays the data the very first time window is opened. After closing the window if we again open the window the ALV table is not displayed.
I have checked the code in debugging and values are coming in Node but not displayed. There is no visibility property attached to this ALV.
Every thing was working fine until patching was applied. The same code is working fine in prod but in Dev I am facing this issue.
Can any one you guys suggest me that why it is happening? Is it because of Patch upgrade and is there any sap note to resolve this.
Thanks in Advance
AmitHi Khandelwala,
Is the entire ALV table disappearing? as it is a popup, the view will always be destroyed when the popup window is closed. It will be again recreated once the popup window is thrown again.
However the component controller instance will not be freed and will exist.
My guess is some plugs are being fired displaying empty view.
Please let us know if it is only data that is disappearing.
Just check the stack level of ur dev and production landscapes. If Dev is on higher version, then it might be due to patch.
Thanks,

FND-INVALID APPLICATION. (Could not lookup message no database connection)
I have a strange problem. I am setting up jDeveloper and trying to create a new OAF project and got the attached FND-INVALID-APPLICATION error. I try to launch the tutorial and it worked. I tried to create a different project under the tutorial workspace and use the tutorial directory "C:\apps\jDeveloper\jdevhome\jdev\myclasses\oracle\apps\fnd\framework\test" and the new project works. Whenever I specify a different directory "/bs/oracle/apps.custoaf/test" I get the error. I am using the same login and application, responsibility for all test scenario. Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance

Spreadsheet tables not displaying properly
Ok. So I have finally managed to get my dashboard working. I have one issue that has cropped up. Before preview, my spreadsheet tables are displaying the ranges I am asking them to do, along with hiding unused cells. When preview runs, Xcelsius throws out the formats I specifically set the components up to do. I get a partial result of one piece of data, and a whole lot of "N/A"
Is there some setting I am missing? I am scratching my head as to why it works before preview, but not after? I can send over my work, if someone wants to see what I am seeing.
Thanks!Ok. So I switched up to the List View Component. Again, before preview, the model is doing exactly what I am asking it to do. When the selector in the Accordion menu changes to a new investment, the other components that have to change are doing so. However, when the preview is run, the List View components are STILL breaking formatting and retuning a "#N/A" in all cells but the first row.
Why is Xcelsius doing this? I have checked my excel functions. They work. I have checked my links to the components. They work. I have checked the spreadsheet tabs with the related data tables. They work. There is NOTHING to explain why this damned program is deciding to give the finger to my components and not work on preview.
Please. I need help with this. I really am at a loss to understand why this is happening, and I am getting pretty angry about the decision to utilize this software.
