Tables SXMSCLUP and (R) in client copy

Hello everybody,
last week we have created a QAS system from a DEV system by het.sys copy.
But in our DEV system we are using mandt 300. But in our QAS system we want to use
mandt=200 instead.
After doing the client copy, not any entry was copied to the new client.
Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Reading data from tables SXMSCLUP and SXMSCLUR

    Hello!
In BI 7.0, there is no Delta Q for loading XML data. We are using a functional module in ABAP proxy, to push data from XI directly into BI PSA.So in the PSA, we get the records which have successfully reached.
But for the failed records, we can see them in XML format in the tcode :SXMB_MONI.
Now, my requirement is to extract the primary key of the data in the payload and create a csv file, saying that this records have failed.
For that, i found that the data is stored in tables SXMSCLUP and SXMSCLUR, but in Hexadecimal format, i.e. kind of encrypted.
I was wondering how to extract and read this data... that too, only 1 field in the data?
In SDN there is a post which gives some Java classes, but i was hoping if there is an easier way out, maybe in ABAP??
Any help in this would be appreciated.

  • Customer tables in $TMP missing after client copy

We did a client copy Data+Customizing and on the targer client we noticed after some table has been simply cleaned up, not copied.
Are all customer tables (tables like Sxxxx) defined as local objects , $TMP development class, both on the source client and on the target client.
I found note 69556 and it seems infact tables in $TMP are not copied, but this note is very very old and written for release 30C - 4x systems.
Is that still true ? Is this the reason why $TMP tables are not copied ?

Target client is productive and protected against client copy

    Hi Rahul,
    I mean:
    Execute SCC4.
Push the "Edit" icon at the top (pencil).
    Double-click the target client.
At the new screen, change the Client Role (you can select "Test").
Change the combo "Protection Level" to Level 0.
    Save changes.
After the Client Copy, you can revert all these changes to the original status.

  • IMG - Target client is productive and protected against client copy

I am doing post-installation for Solution Manager 4.0 and encounter the above error.
From the IMG Solution Manager Basic Settings ... --> Create Client, I created client 020 and the role = customizing.  Protection Level 0 and allow change to  repository and cross-client customizing.  Then, I click on Copy Client, it gave me the above error.
I could not find any information regarding the correct way to work around it.  I tried to log into client 020 with SAP*/PASS to do manual client copy, but could not login either.
Anyone ran into this problem?  Please share your successful instructions.
    Thanks.

    Hi Teengh,
you can only do the client-copy in the target client; in your case in client 020.
Please have a look in TA scc4 whether the client 020 was really created. If it is existing, then you should be able to log on to the client 020 with sap*/pass (password in lower case). What was the error message after you could not login?
    Best regards,

  • Audit Issue in QA after system restore and client copy

    Hi Experts,
We have an audit issue and need your advise on that.
Our QA system was audited and auditors were looking for the approval tickets on which a user was created. I found that several users that were not created in QA and do not even exist in QA have their change logs in QA showing that user was created.
I researched it and found the steps that Basis and DBA's do when creating a new QA client.
    1. Basis export user master and authorizations using SAP_USER profile from the target QA environment.
    2. Then DBA's restore the QA Environment from the Production Backup.
    3. Basis import back the preserved User master and roles using SAP_USER profile.
But when reading about this profile, I came to understand that change documents ( USH* ) tables are not exported and imported back. So that is why we have change logs in our QA from Production system.
So my question is how to solve this issue, where Auditors look at the change documents in QA and ask for the documentation though in reality these change documents are coming from Production. Should we ask for DBA team to truncate USH tables or is there a client copy profile that saves the change logs that we can export and import back.

    Hi,
as you know the USH* tables belong to delivery class L. The tables in this class are never copied during client copy but you don't do client copy. Idea of deleting records from L tables after backup restore does not sound good because you will loose all data. As a workaround you could backup content of tables with delivery class L, export users SAP_USER, restore production backup, import users and import backup for tables with delivery class L. There is around 5000 L tables in ECC. Another approach could be to restore production on different box and do proper client copy to QA system.
    Cheers

  • Differences between client copy with sap_all and database copy

What's the difference between client copy with sap_all and doing a database copy.
I know if I do a database copy from Production to our Quality system.
I need to install the license key
restore the production library to the quality library
    Initialize TMS and so on.
I know if I want to copy to our Development system. I would need to run either a remote client copy or and export/import since I cannot do a database copy because I would loose all my other clients in Development.
My question is, if the quality systems and the production systems are on the same support packs, same kernel.
What does a database copy give you (besides being faser) that a remote client copy or export/import of a client copy does.
    Any differences
    Thanks
    Joe

    Hello Joe,
If there is inconsistent Z tables between QAS and PRD, remote client copy could fail, especially when the table on PRD has longer length or more fields than the one on QAS.
Also the source client should has no-activity during the client copy, otherwise the application data could be inconsistent. For example, some material documents are copied, but not the corresponding financial documents. (For PRD client, it could be hours between the times those tables are copied.) For database restore, it is rarely an issue.
    Best regards,
    Victor

  • PI 7.0, IDOC to IDOC scenario, Client Copy ?

    Hi,
We are trying to setup a IDOC to IDOC scenario in our new PI System.
Do we have to do a client copy for all the clients assigned for logical systems in SCC4 ?
These systems are setup in SLD on our PI Server as techincal systems and business systems also.
These clients and logical systems are for our SAP R/3 systems on version 4.7.
    thanks
    Udai

    Hi,
I was a going through a demo example in SAP Guide. It says that you have to do a client copy for an IDOC to IDOC scenario.
So i will probably explain with numbers in our system.
XI System -> Client 100,           logical system name -> D11100
    SAP R/3 System -> Client 210, Logical system name -> D01210
So from the documentation as it says, i did setup a logical system and client in SCC4 in the XI system for our SAP R/3 System( Client 210).
Now the documentation says i have to log into client 210 of our XI system and do a client copy. So i was not sure if i have to do a client copy.
Let me know if i am not clear.
    thanks

  • Dump "conne_import_wrong_comp_type" during client copy

    Hi gurus!!
Last week I tried to run a client copy with SAP_CUST profile but the next dump was generated:
    Runtime Error          CONNE_IMPORT_WRONG_COMP_TYPE
    Exception              CX_SY_IMPORT_MISMATCH_ERROR
Error when attempting to IMPORT object "TLINE".
    What happened?
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
When attempting to import data, it was discovered that the data type of the stored data was not the same as that specified in the program.
    Error analysis
An exception occurred. This exception is dealt with in more detail below. The exception, which is assigned to the class 'CX_SY_IMPORT_MISMATCH_ERROR',
was neither caught nor passed along using a RAISING clause, in the procedure "READ_TEXTLINES" "(FORM)"
Since the caller of the procedure could not have expected this exception to occur, the running program was terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
When importing the object "TLINE", the component no. 1 in the dataset has a different type from the corresponding component of the target object in the program "SAPLSTXD".
The data type is "N" in the dataset, but "C" in the program.
I checked that the report SAPLSTXD had not been changed and I can't found the reason of the error.
    Can anybody help me?
Thank you very much in advanced.
    Edorta.

    Hi nick
I have already checked the note and executed the corresponding report and it shows an incorrect text filtering with the information extracted from the dump.
I have eliminated this wrong text in STXL and rescheduled the client copy for toningth. Tomorrow we will see the results.
Thank you very much in advanced,
    Edorta.

  • Local client copy of 000 after installation fails

I'm trying to install XI. I installed Web AS 6.40 (from the SR1 installation) ABAP stack. Before installing the Java Add-In I need to make a copy of client 000. I login using client 000 and SAP*, goto SCCL and without even getting to the transaction I get the following error message:
"Target client is prodductive and protected against client copy."
(It's message no. TA133) -- I got into SCC4 (like help suggested) and the only users I have are 000 and 066 ("Test EarlyWatch Profiles"). 000 is set to "SAP Reference", not "Productive".
The thing is I never even get to enter the target client; I never get to enter anything in the transaction, it throws me out immediatly.
I managed to get a step further by following these steps:
    1. Using SCC4 I created a copy 000 (001)
    2. Logged out from 000
    3. Logged in using 001 and SAP*/PASS
    4. Went to SCC4, deleted the 001 entry and saved (if I don't delete it I get the same error as before)
Then when I went to SCCL (while still logged in with the deleted 001 client) I got the transaction. It put 001 as the target (which is fine by me), I selected a copy profile but and selected 000 as the source -- but when I tried to execute I got the same problem as before.
(I'm sure it's apparent that the whole ABAP world is new to me this is just me trying to install an XI test system in the office.)
    What am I missing here?
    Thanks,
    Alon.

    hi alon,
what do you mean with 1) (copy 000 to 001)?
just create a new client in SCC4, make sure that the parameter "client role" isn't set to "productive".
log on as sap*/pass in the new client and use SCCL to make a copy.

  • SCM and CRM Multiple Clients in one system

    Dear all,
I want to ask a question regarding Multiple clients in SCM 5 - IDES and CRM 5 -IDES.
I installed the system and plan to have multiple clients in a system with copying client 800 (IDES) to others.
I heard opinion that it can't possibly be done because if during the exercise the Administrator Workbench is executed it will search to the source client (800) and probably affect the exercise.
Would you mind giving me more suggestion about this?
    Thank you.
    Fausto

    Hi Fausto,
Could you be more specific about what you need to achive?
You can always creat a new client, logon to the client and do a client copy with TCod SCCL.
If you logon to other IDES clients then You'ld overwrite the content of the client which have been pre-configured.
Check the status of the client you need to overwrite from TCod scc4.
Also to verfiy the status of the target client for TCod se06 -system change option.

  • Client Copy v/s Transport

    Hi ,
I want to understand the difference between Client-Copy and Transport.
After I have developed reports in Dev Box , which is the best option out of both ?
Should one do a client copy from Dev to QA or Transport Objects ?
What are typical Advantages and Drawbacks of both?
Can someone share on this ?
    Thanks
    Sajid

    Hi,
you should transport your objects from DEV to QA and PROD.
Client copy is typically used when you want to have your DEV and QA system look like your prodcution system. You then make a client copy from PROD to DEV and QA in order to "clean up" the systems.
    Kind regards

  • Which action  is the first step ,client copy or package?

i do ehp3 add-on. one system is copy client first,add-on later . Another system is add-on first then copy client .
To my surprise, to client compare is inconsistent.
why ? please give me answer.

As i understand the question is You have two system, and on System A you have upgraded the EHP3 then you copy the client and on System B You have first copy the client and then upgrade the EHP3 and the client size is different. So you want to know what should be done first? Either upgrade or Client Copy.
If this is the question then on my opinion Upgrade should be done first and later on client copy can be performed.
