Tablespace metrics and the use of SYSDATE

Hi,
I am trying to migrate from OEM 9i to GC 10.2, one of the events I had in 9i was a tablespace event that checked my current tablespaces (using sysdate), as showen bellow:
like ('%'||(select to_char(sysdate,'YYYY') from dual)||'%'||(select to_char(sysdate,'MM') from dual)||'%')
can I do something similar in GC (other than making a user defined)?

The event was not a "user defined event" it was an out of the box "tablespace full" event that was able to accept a more complex sql statement to filter the tablespaces.

Cannot connect to Hover mail server unless I login to my webmail and then the messages magically load in Mail and then it goes offline again.

Let it go... these DL's take forever, depending on the spped of your connection and the traffic on the servers.
If by morning it is still sitting there restart and the DL should pick up from where it left off.

REgarding licensing issues involvng 'Computername' and the use of UpperCase4 vs Lowercase Letters

Does any one know if it would cause problems for the Office 365 software license to be displayed as licensed to an ALL CAPS name like 'MY-FAVORITE-PC' but the computer itself shows the computer name to be 'my-favorite-pc"?
If it does, which one should I change? A couple of people here have had this same problem (which usually occurs when they change to using a different PC for their account) I have to Deactivate their Old PC namer and then install the licnse to
their New OC using whatever name it has.
On more than one system, this has resulted in various odd "failure to contact Microsoft server" issues when activating. The problem continues for 7 days and then their copy of Office starts showing reed warning bards and eventually gets totally
unusable.
However, if I uninstall the office, deactivate the license, and reinstall it once again, it install just fine and acts ok but invariably at some point, the same thing occurs.
On one of them I noticed the difference in the case of the letters used in the computer name and the license name. On others I am wondering about various software add ins for Outlook or some other 3rd part application causing the problem. Whatever
it is, it gets extremely annoying. Officer 365 apparently must run an activation sequence almost constantly while Office 2010 (and I presume 2013) ran it once and were done with it.
Searching Google I have found too many possible reasons along with a lot of people who have had the same problems but no one seems to have the 100% solution. This has only started happening since we switched to Office 365 and only
seems to occur on systems that are changed out to different ones with the same User's 365 Account which is in good standing and has 5 available licenses of which only one is in use.
In the case of the caps vs lowercase I also wonder if changing the name to CAPS on their PC would create additional problems on its own?

Wage Type Creation in TRM and the use of IT 0017.

Dear all,
Can anybody tell me what are the std wage types for creating expenses like
e.g. (Air/ Train Fare charges, Conveyance, hotel allowances, Traveling Advance, etc.... all types of expenses).
as we have Std WT MB10 - Basic Salary in SAP for making new customised WT by coping MB10.
So, in the same way i want to know what are the std. WT in TRM for creating the above expenses.
And also tell me Friends the use of IT0017- Travel expenses and wat other infotypes we need to maintain in TRM.

As u said there is no std Wt for TRM especially, so can i copy the std wt M233 - Hotel Accomodation for my Travel expenses as mentioned here or can u pls tell me some std wt like M223 sothat i can coping those and make the new Trvl expenses like (Air/ Train Fare charges, Conveyance, hotel allowances, Traveling Advance, etc.... all types of expenses).

My songs are missing in the music and the used memory doesn't change. Is it a bug for IOS7? How can I fix it?

I plugged my ipod touch 5 via usb to the pc and browsed my music on itunes. And suddenly i played some music and there's a exclamation point before the song. I haven't deleted that song or moved. And the whole album was gone. And i checked the number of songs on my ipod and it decreased without change in memory used. Is it an another BUG for ios7? is there a way to fix it?

That indicates the song files are not corrupted.
Connect the iPod to your computer and look at the storage used by the various categories as shown in the colored bargarph in iTunes.
Come back with the results.

Next, usually restoring from backup eliminated the corrupted files. However, sometimes restoring to factory settings/new iPod is required.

HT4718 FileVault 2, the Recovery System, and the use of Disk Utility

I have FileVault 2 turned on for my Lion-equipped Powerbook Pro. When booting from the Recovery System, however, the Disk Utility thereon cannot even verify the internal HD, much less repair anything. I am aware that this is due to the encryption, of course.
However, for external encrypted drives, all I need to do is enter the password to mount them. So is there something that one can do in order to get the Disk Utility on the Recovery System -- on this very same drive -- to recognize the main volume, in order to enable it to perform diagnostics?
Secondarily, if I put the Powerbook Pro into target mode, and connect it to another Mac (which I have not tried yet) will I be able to mount it from the other computer if (A) It is running Lion OSX or higher, and (B) I can provide one or more of the login passwords?
I am one who has always liked to keep my hard drives running smoothly (e.g using Disk Warrior, Drive Genius, Disk Utility...whatever). So this is a bit foreign to me to be unable to run at least basic diagnostics. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you're talking about just the Recovery HD, you only need 1GB so use a 4GB USB thumb drive and the OS X Recovery Disk Assistant to create it.
If you're talking about the ML installer (installESD.dmg) use an 8GB USB thumb drive.

Don't worry about it.
There are two different styles of schemas. In one style, you define the elements, attributes, etc. at the top, and then use the "ref" form to refer to them. (I call this the "global" style.) The other style is to define elements inline where they are used. ("local" style)
Within some bounds, they work the same and which you use is a choice of you and the tools that generate the schemas.
A warning about the local style. It is possible to define an element in two different locations in the schema that are different. It will get past all schema validation, but it seems wrong to my sense of esthetics. With the global style, this will not happen.
So, how did this happen? Probably one person did the schema when it only had a name and age. Then, someone else added the height element. They either used a different tool, or preferred the other style. I'm aware of no difference in the document you have described between the two styles.

Excel data source and the use of add command

HI, Looking for suggestions on how to work with multiple inputs that cannot be joined directly. Here's the background.
The Report currently reads in two different Ecel files and uses 3 SQL commands to query an Oracle Database. I need to join the 5 data sources and am having issues with the 2 excel files. In one file I need to be able to derive a field based on another column in the file In order to create the join condition to the SQL commands. I'd equate this to a case statement in SQL, but how goes one do that using the 'add command' feature? What is the syntax?
Next I would need to join (left outer) the two excel files using two fields from file A (a1, a2) and 3 fields from file B (b1,b2,b3), where a1=b1 and b2 <= a2 <= b3 when rows from A exist in B. If row A does not exist in B then we still want it in the report and available to left outer join to the 3 oractab data sources.
runtime is also a concern.
Any Suggestions?

hi Elena,
in this case the use of subreports is not recommended. that's because you're exporting to excel and you need data in columns across the report. subreports will not, unfortunately, give you what you need.
this would bring you back to joining the datasources. what i would recommend is looking into using 'oracle database link' to link your oracle db to excel files. here's one article as an example but you may be able to find a better one. if you have questions on this please ask them on an oracle forum as the syntax that you need will be database specific.
a lot of databases have this type of technology which allows you to create a view to other data. sql server has 'linked servers', sap hana has 'smart data access'. essentially you are creating a non-materialized view to the external data. then this view is available on the main oracle server where you established this connection. this should be a lot easier than trying to bring a bunch of command objects together off independent datasources inside of crystal.

I can found a function called in one of my reference program, it's purpose is for creating billing. However, I cannot find any any BAPI/FM which is used for creating the billing document, but here is a function named: "pos_sa_get_document_status".
What's the use of this function?
and also what function/bapi should I use when I creating the billing record?

HT1947 Remote App and the use of the local speakers

I use the Remote app from my iPad to connect to my iMac's iTunes library. I then have the option to broadcast that music to 1) an Apple Air Port in my basement, 2) an AppleTV in my living room, and/or 3) the iMac computer speakers (or connected audio devices). There are many occasions where I would also like to broadcast the same audio from my iPad itself. Why aren't the iPad speakers available as an option? Can this be added in a future update of the app?

Saving PS files on PC and the using them on Mac

I have at home pc, but in college I am using Mac,s. I have one concern if im going to work on some kind of project at home on my pc and then I will wanna carry on on it at the college were I'm gonna use Mac, will I be able to load that project? If not what should I do? Because today when I Mac didn't load me a InDesign file which I saved on my PC. I don't want this happen to PS files.

Page layout programs like InDesign, QuarkXpress, Pagemaker have always has limitations dealing with different versions;
This has not changed in over 20 years.
While you can always easily open older version files in newer version .i.e InDesign CS5 will open in CS6.
Going backwards is an issue as you have already found out. You can't "directly" open an InDesign CS6 document in CS5.
You can export your ID CS6 doc to InDesign Markup IDMl.
This IDML can be opened in CS5.
However, text may reflow, and any new features that were introduced in CS6 may either be missing or uneditable.
It is not a good workflow to constantly move a document between versions.

XI File Adapter: Sender and the use of wildcards in the directory name

Quick question for you XI guru's. I have a requirement to <b>read</b> files from an ftp server that live in separate directories like:
/dir1/subdir1/in/
/dir1/subdir2/in/
/dir1/subdir3/in/
I want to setup the communication channel so that it does something like:
/dir1/*/in
Normally I would specify the other directories in the advanced tab however there could be potentially 1000's of subdir's so I want to use a wildcard. Is it possible to do this with a directory name?
I have read this link and it seems to only indicate using wildcards in the filename.

Conflicting advice with zpools and the use of /dev/did devices with HASP

I've read that you should not use /dev/did devices with zpools/HAStoragePlus resources, and I've also read that you can.
From the EIS checklist (we're a Sun partner):

It's recommended to use cXtXdX devices for ZFS.
• Do not use did devices!
On the other hand, the Sun doco states that you can (http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-2974/gbspx?a=view):
you can create a zpool using a disk slice by specifying a Solaris device identifier:

or or you can create a zpool using disk slice by specifying a logical device identifier

Can someone tell me which is correct?
I've configured zpools under HASP using did devices, gone through many failover tests and have had no issues at all.
