Tablet A1000 ideadesktop isn't responding issue

Hi, I bought 9 tablets last weekend for my family. So far 2 of them are having the same isssue. When quitting an App, the screen will go black for about 1 minute, and the message "ideadesktop isn't responding. Wait or Close". If I close it, the tablet is not responding anymore. I tried a hard reset and it did not help. Is there an issue with those tablets? Should i returned them and get something else? or is there a way to fix this problem? Thanks for your help. XP.

My iPod touch (4th generation) isn't responding to anything I do. It's been like this since 2pm this afternoon (5 hours). On the screen, there is the Apple logo and nothing else. When I connected my iPod to the computer, iTunes didn't recognize it and my iPod didn't change at all. What should I do?

  • Messages isn't responding

The Messages application on my Macbook Pro doesn't open up. Whenever I try to it says, "Messages isn't responding." How can I solve this problem?

    Hi,
If one User on the Mac has an issue using the app then the fault lies with that Users Set up.
This could be .plists for the App.
It could be whether the User has Read and Write permissions  of those files and the Folder that contain them.
In the case of Yosemite this includes a Read & Write "route"  or Sandboxing that protects the rest of the system from issue with the app.
The issues can be with the way the Mac is set up.
DNS server info in System Preferences > Network > Advanced Button > DNS tab should be external to your LAN and not the router's IP address.
The Date and Time  settings should use the Automatic Time Server.
We mentioned the AppleGothic Font  but others like Helvetica Neue and Lucida Grande also need to be enabled.
As well as checking those setting do this:-
In a Finder Window use the Go Menu whilst holding down the ALT key and selecting the Library that appears.
In the View Menu select the Show Path Bar.
    Now navigate to /Containers/com.apple.iChat/Data/Library/Preferences
(you will see most of the .plist here are Aliases - they point to the actual files in ~/Library/Preferences)
Right Click on the Preferences icon in the Path Bar and select Get Info.
In the Info Panel scroll to the bottom.
It should list the Name next to the Little House Icon in the Path Bar (shortname)
This should have READ and WRITE permissions.
If you select the Line  and then use  the cogwheel type icon under the list it should have Greyed out Text saying "Make shortname (me) the Owner" - it will be greyed out if you already own it.
Repeat the above panel part for the Library that is before Preferences and the Data and com.apple.iChat and Containers Folders.
Then click the Containers icon so you are in the folder.
    Navigate to com.apple.soagent/Data/Library/Preferences
Repeat the panel bit for all .plists that are not Aliases  (soagent.plist and all the ones with Messages Helper in the name)
Then again for the Preferences, Library, Data, com.apple.soagent folders.
This is long winded of course  but you may find the offending item early.

  • Shockwave isn't responding

Theres somethig popping up in my game saying..SHOCKWAVE ISN'T RESPONDING..and my game will hang up.
I already upgraded the latest adobe flash player.
I also deleted all flash player browsing data and cleared my history and cache, but still my game is too slow and lagging.
Please help me to resolve this issue.
    Thank you very much.

Hmm, that's no good.  It sounds like the problems might extend to the browser based on your description, but let's check to make sure you're using the right Flash Player in Chrome.
Type chrome://plugins in the address bar and hit Enter
Towards the top of the page on the right, there's a button that says Details.  Expand it.  (It should show - instead of + in the button)
Make sure that the PPAPI version of Flash Player is Enabled, and that if the NPAPI version of Flash Player is listed, that it's disabled.  You may also want to check Always Allowed.
If things are still unstable, you might want to consider doing a clean install of Chrome as a next step.

  • !Work Space Isn't Responding

When I go to the Hub, there is a message at the top (preceded by a triangle with an exclamation mark) that states:"Work Isn't Responding   Tap for more info"
Upon taping, it takes me to the Edit Account screen, where a message in red letters reads:
"Service for account (ActiveSync:Work-myemailaddress.com)is not available. Contact your system administrator to regain access. [Error Code: 403]" While I'm sure I must have a system administrator, I'm not sure how to contact them. Is this an easy fix I can perform with out my system administrator?  Has a password expired, or what would cause this? I am still able to log onto my company's instant messanger. Thanks! Regards, Barry

Thanks for  your prompt reply. I had been operating fine after an OS upgrade, so I don't think that was the issue. I'm glad to report that it is myseriously working fine again. I opened an online ticket with my IT Dept. (even before I rec'd your suggestion), and though I have not gotten an official response from them, I suppose it is possible they did something in the background and just haven't informed me yet.  At any rate, all I know is that I'm back in business, and I sure appreciate your response, thanks again! Regards, Barry

  • DNS Server isn't responding

Some time ago I noticed that when I open up IE11 there is a very long delay waiting for the home page to open followed by an error page stating there is no connection and offers a Windows Network Diagnostic tool to "fix" the problem.  After the tool runs for a short while, it returns with "The DNS Server isn't responding -- Detected".  After I close the tool window, everything works fine from then on.
So, what's up with that?  Is it a Verizon problem, a [Verizon provided] router problem or a problem on my side?  I'm using the router Verizon provided when I opened the FIOS account about 3 years ago.  I understand there is a new router out there and a local Verizon store told me that's what I needed ($100) to fix a problem that I don't believe is mine to fix.
BTW, when I told the rep at the local Verizon [operated] store about my Internet woes, he said "sounds like a router issue, because you're having Internet issues, I'll hook you up with free HBO for a year."  I asked what about replacing my router and was told about the $100 box.

  • "DNS server isn't responding" only after I start iTunes

I currently have iTunes 11.2.2.3 installed on a laptop running Windows 7 Professional. I've been using iTunes running on this laptop for a few years. I'm connecting to the internet via a wireless router.
This morning I noticed that I am unable to connect to the internet after I start iTunes. Specifically, I have replicated the following multiple times:
    1. Start machine after being completely powered down.
    2. Start web browser.
    3. Load web pages on web browser successfully.
    4. Start iTunes.
    5. iTunes cannot connect to iTunes store (e.g., update podcasts).
    6. Web browser no longer loads web pages.
    7. Right click on wireless icon in system tray and select "Troubleshoot problems".
    8. Troublshooting session reports "DNS server isn't responding".

After further troubleshooting I found that the likely problem was with my Norton 360 installation. The repeatability of the steps above had to do with timing, in that when I restarted the computer there was a window during which I could access the Internet. Upon close monitoring I noticed that it took a while after startup for the Norton icon to appear in the system tray. Apparently once Norton 360 was fully started, then I would loose Internet connectivity.
As far as I can tell, the problem was not fixable by configuring Norton 360. In fact the Norton 360 interface would freeze up when I tried to access the security settings. So I uninstalled and reinstalled Norton 360, and so far it seems to have resolved the problem.
The issue with Norton 360 may have been caused by some ongoing system instablity (i.e., BSOD episodes). I'm hoping that the instability itself was actually caused by the previous Norton 360 installation, and will be fixed by this reinstallation.

Have you tried popping out the SD card and popping back in during a power cycle? No, I haven't tried that - what exact order are you suggesting? Unplug it, pull the SD card, plug it in and while booting, plug in the SD card? Or just unplug it, pull the SD card, reinsert the SD card and then plug it in or some other order or combination? And what will that do for it or how is it fixing the longer term issue? Thanks!

You made a purchase and exhausted the credit on your card before it processed. All purchases are final. Contact iTunes Store support. You need to settle up before you can purchase or download anything else.

  • "Back to my Mac isn't working properly because your DNS server isn't responding. Contact your ISP for an alternate DNS server address, and enter it in Network Preferences".

Hi, i am trying to setup back to my mac at home but I get the error "Back to my Mac isn't working properly because your DNS server isn't responding. Contact your ISP for an alternate DNS server address, and enter it in Network Preferences".
There is no documentation on how to solve this anywhere.
I have an Arris router set to bridged mode which is connected to a 5th generation airport extreme. I have tried using the google dns servers instead of the one assigned by the cable company in the AE but I still get the same error.
Any help would be much appreciated

New to BTMM, I got stung today with the silly DNS problem message. Solution:
    1) Flush DNS cache with:
    dscacheutil -flushcache;sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder
2)System preferences > iCloud > untick BTMM then tick it again. The warning should have disappeared.
    Edit #1
Apologies for the noise. The warning has come back
    Edit #2
Just found out that BTMM is not compatible with double NAT. That's not helpful.

  • Can i set up an iphone 3GS when my left bottom of my screen isn't responding? (Can't click on '123' button)

So I got an old iPhone 3GS from a friend.
He said he would reset it for me. He also said that sometimes the bottom of the screen isn't responding (only when you use the keyboard).
Now I'm home and I want to set-up the iphone with my icloud and such.
But I can't type my password when I'm in the first time setup on the phone.
Is it possible to do this trough iTunes?
'Cause you can't flip the keyboard on screen 90 degrees.
