Tablet is not turning on..

Hello I have a Lenovo Tablet A1000. The warranty is expired, and it is not turning on. The screen stays blank. When I press the power button it vibrates a little. It was nearly dead so I put it on charge and wen to sleep. When I woke up and checked on it it hadn't charged. I tried different chargers and ports, but it didn't work. Then it died. Now it is not turning on at all. A similiar issue like this happened before, but I solved that with the volume + power button thing. Now, that is not working. I tried that thing you do with a pin in that hole near the sd card but nothing has happened. I pressed the power button for 30 secs 40 secs nothing happnned. I have tried all sorts of combinations with how long press the volume and power button, nothing. Please help.

Disabling data usage on Elipsis Tablet does not turn of Data Usage

Yesterday purchased 3 tablets for my kids. First thing I did when I got home was add home wifi and disable data usage. Ridicoulous but this does not disable data usage. Tablet used 4gb of data before I realized what was going on, all the while connected to home Wifi, like the data connectio took precedence. This is a major flaw of this tablet. Called Customer Service, waiting for a mgr to call back. Unfortunatly waiting on hold for over 45min without getting to tech support but in the end the only way to turn off data apparently (or at least I found) was to put in Airplane mode. This is not right!
Even support forum states this is the way to enable/disable data. I feel dooped!

I'm sorry you waited so long trying to get through to Tech Support dm805. I know being able to disable Mobile Data is important to keep usage under control. As Ann154 mentioned, you are able to turn off Mobile Data in Settings. You can go to Settings> Data Usage> Select Mobile Data (at top right hand side), and it will turn off. You can also go to Settings> More> Mobile Networks> Uncheck Data Enabled.

I didn't charge it one night and the battery life was on about 8%. So I charged it and turned it off. When I try to turn it on nothing happens. Do I need to change battery ot is it dead?

Tablet will not turn off or on even with hard reset

Dear Apple Support,
Bought my refurbished Apple Ipad 4th generation 2 weeks ago directly from Apple. Tonight it went to a blue screen. I tried over and over to force a shut down with the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button, to no avail. I do get the screen now that tells me to hook to ITunes via my computer and the directions say to use the cable that came with my tablet. However, I did not receive a cable with my tablet, only the lightning plug to recharge the battery.
Could you please tell me what to do, as I am devastated since this tablet is only 2 weeks old.

If you got it from Apple just two weeks ago, I would just drop into an Apple Store and they will set you up in no time flat!
That cord they are talking about is also the very same cord used for charging. In other words, there is only ONE cord, and if you got one cord, that's it.

My Lenovo Tab S8-50 will not turn on?

Hi, i bought myself a new Lenovo Tab s8-50 2 days ago and as i went to put it on charge today it was on a 50% battery life so plenty of juice left but i'm going out tonight and so i wanted it filled up. After coming back after a few hours the tablet will not turn on it just has a black screen. the charger is on and anyway it would not lose 50% of its battery on idle just after a few hours. Is this a fault commonly know and can i fix it? Please help. Thanks, Tom

Weird problem. I would go to the shop from where you bought it. Or you could try turning it on with power button pressed for like 20 secs or power+both volume buttons.

A1000l-f will not turn on after firmware update

i bought my tablet last night as a black friday sale item from office depot and it was working fine for about 2 hours. it then said i needed to update my firmware so i did. after a minute or two a screen popped up stating it needed to shutdown or something and did i want to do this now or in 30/60/90 minutes. i picked for it to do it now. i went for a walk and ever since then the dang thing will not turn on, it will do nothing. no vibrations, no noises, nothing. the back sticker says it is an a1000L-F, but it is an 8gb so i am assuming it is not an actual F? any help? the battery was at 68% and plugged in/charging when i updated the firmware. i also left it plugged in and charging all night (10 hours) and still does nothing.

well, before taking it back to the store i tried plugging it into my iphone base charger/plug. turned right on! not sure why it died so fast when it was at "68%" while plugged in charging...but it did. i charged it to 100% and it has worked perfectly fine ever since. maybe the charger plug that comes with this thing sucks, i dont know....but it works now just fine.

My wife has the exact same phone and I have the razr HD (basically the same, just larger screen etc).
We have run into the same thing a few times, and as stated above by Callie I have found it is a dead battery issue. BUT unlike my previous phone (Droid incredible) that I could usually plug in, wait a few minutes, then at least turn on and use while plugged in, I have found for the M and mine it really took a bit to get it charged. Kind of like as long as there is some battery you are ok, but once it dies it takes a bit of charging.
ALSO - I am going to perhaps not use the right terms or words for this, but I THINK (emphasize think) at least once it wasn't enough to use one of the lower amp chargers. at least on mine. tried to charge and charge and didn't seem to work. Finally I took a charger that I normally need to use for my daughters tablet and use that then it had enough kick. I will note I think that was the issue.
regardless each time yes it took awhile before we could turn them on. ALSO it seemed like it took a much longer time in holding the power button down. BUT eventually they started up and we were good to go.
we love our phones, she especially loves the size of the M. BUT we have learned in the short 2-3 months we have had them, if possible, don't let the thing drain all the way. just seems to cause a bit of a hastle

My HP Pro Book 450 G1 will not turn back on, and a orange light blinks 8 times next to the AC adapter whenever I press the power button. I couldn't do anything. Any other suggests regarding how to fix this problem?

X220 Sudden shut down and will not turn back on

I have a Thinkpad X220 Tablet. It has worked fine the last 1.5 years. It recently shut down suddenly, no shutting down screen or warning, just straight to black. The battery was full and it was plugged in. It will not turn on and when plugged in with the AC adapter no lights come on. I have no idea how to go about fixing this or what could be causing this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I’m sorry to hear that your Lenovo ThinkPad X220T is not powering on.
I would suggest you to perform Flee Power – remove the battery and any other peripheral device connected to the computer. Hold the power button for 10-15 seconds and then connect only the AC Adapter and try to turn ON the computer.
Swap the battery and AC adapter with a good known one if you can to check if it’s a battery/adapter failure. Take out the memory, start the system and check if you hear beep sounds.

My new LG G 8.3 pad will not turn on.

I've only had it two weeks and used it maybe a dozen times. Yesterday it still have a significant charge when I stopped using it and today it will not turn on. I've plugged it in using the charger that came with it and another charger and it still won't turn on. This seems to be an issue with this pad. How can I get it to work?

I'm sorry you're having issues with your tablet ssnowandsurf . I know its frustrating. I recommend checking the charging port on your tablet to ensure its not loose or damaged. Are there any problematic apps on your tablet? If so, when you are able to turn it on, remove those to check if that will resolve the issue. Keep us posted.

Press the power button and hold for at least thirty seconds. Then release, wait a few seconds, and press the button again briefly. See if this works.....

LG G Pad 8.3 Tablet won't turn on

I see a few threads where people have had problems with their LG G 8.3 LTE tablet not powering on.
Mine worked fine yesterday, and I don't think the battery level was super low, but I might be wrong. My old apple devices had to charge for a bit when the battery was completely dead, are the LG products the same way?
This tablet is essentially brand new, it's never even left the house, much less had any damage at all. It's probably been used less than a dozen times.
Really hoping that it's not dead. I plugged it into the charger than came with it, and also into the USB port of my computer (at someone's suggestion). So far, nothing.
