Tablete PC input panel failure - error occurs
Every time I click to open the input panel from the start bar at the bottom, it says error occured and closes.
(it asks me to send the error to microsoft or not, I send it evertime)
Does any one know how to fix this?
Hi
It sounds like an OS application error. Believe me, its not easy to say why it occurs.
The best and easiest way to solve this issue is to roll back the OS to the early point. You can use the system restore tool of WinXP.
The last possibility is to restore the OS with the delivered Toshiba recovery CD.

Tablet PC Input Panel and Flash Player
Applies to Flash player 9, AS3 and Tablet PC 2005 or Vista
I have created an application in Flash part of which requires
a form to be filled in. This form consits of multiple TextInput and
TextArea components amongst others.
When used on a tablet then the icon for the Tablet Input
Panel (TIP) does not show automatically and instead the TIP has to
be launched from the taskbar
Is there a way for Flash Player to pick up this and launch
the TIP when required.
If not will it be resolved in future Flash Players? (mainly
aimed at Adobe employees)Sorry it's taken so long to get back. Problems logging in as the site doesn't recognise me (I'm currently in Thailand).
I have a Portege 3500 Tablet PC.
It works fine as a laptop PC but if I now try to use it as a notebook the Tablet PC Input Panel will not load.
The icon is there - but it always reports an error (and wants to tell Microsoft about it - ha!)
In other words I now cannot use the Tablet function at all.
The PC is 14 months old (ish) and is otherwise functioning normally (that's tempting fate isn't it).
Is this a recognised problem - whatever - is there a solution? I have no recovery disks here unfortunately. -
Solved!
Go to Solution. This error will occur when your Reader Store login information (email and password) do not match your Adobe ID login information (email and password). When you create a Reader Store account, an Adobe ID is automatically created. If one already exists for your email address, the passwords must match or you will be prompted with this box to provide the different password. You may also see the error codes 2055, 2057, 2052, 2053, 2056 or 2059 for this issue.
When the Adobe password is changed, the Reader (ebook) Store password will not change. You can change your Reader Store email address or password to be the same as your Adobe ID (account) or password to avoid the previous step any time you authorize a PC or Reader in the future.
IMPORTANT: Both the Reader store and Adobe passwords must be between 6-12 characters. Adobe and Reader Store passwords can be different. However, it is easier to access content if the same password is used for both accounts.
NOTES:
If you don't remember your Adobe ID or password, you can go to the following link for assistance: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/167/tn_16721.html

Hi,
I have installed WDS service in my dell server windows 2008 server R2. I am using WDS server and Dhcp server in different machine.I have received error "PXE:E-61 Media test failure check cable ", when I trying to install
OS from my WDS server. But I have created a one partition in VMware and successfully installed windows 2008 R2 server from Windows deployment service. But when I am trying to install the OS in another dell server from WDS, I have received this error.
Any help?Hi,
For PXE boot, we need the client boot from network. Check your boot option in BIOS settings. Meanwhile, we need WDS server and
DHCP server accessible. If the client locate in a different subnet, IP helper should be configured to point to WDS server and DHCP server.
If everything is configured correctly, I recommend you contact with the manufacture.
Hope this helps. -

I have simply used the original Windows CD and have formatted the whole HDD.
After this procedure the Recovery CD installation has worked. -

upgrading to osx 10.6.8 fails. I see errors in the /var/log/install.log of "An unexpected error occurred while moving files to the final destination." Underlying Error=(Error Domain=NSPOSIXErrorDomain Code=5 "The operation couldn’t be completed. Input/out. Any thoughts on what is causing these errors and the upgrade failure?
ThanksI have no idea what the specific error code means but input/output errors can sometimes mean a disk is failing. Make a couple of backups of all important data before doing anything else.
Verify your startup disk using the First Aid tab in Disk Utility. If the disk needs repair boot from your Leopard DVD and repair your disk from Disk Utility under Utilities on the screen after you choose your language. Repeat the repair process until Disk Utility reports all is well.
If Disk Utility doesn't find any errors you might want to try a new download of the update and keep a sharp eye on your HD for anything else that might indicate all is not well. Take special care to back up important data.
If Disk Utility finds errors it would probably be a good idea to pay a visit to the Apple Store to have them check out your hard drive even if Disk Utility is able to repair the errors. -
I updated Firefox yesterday to 3.6.9. When I receive a URL link in an email within Outlook, I cannot open the link in Firefox. As I said in the question, when I click on the link, a Microsoft Office Outlook error message appears which states that a General failure has occurred in sending the command to the application (which is Firefox). I am using Office 2007 This did not occur prior to the upgrade of Firefox.
See this lnk for a fix, it worked for me!

Since switching to Firefox this week, when I click on a hyperlink in an e-mail in Outlook, I get this message, "General failure. An error occurred in sending the command to the application." It doesn't open a new window or do anything. Any work around to fix this?

Hi,
We are getting the following error when running our SSIS packages on Microsoft SQL Server 2012 R2 on Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1:
Error: 4014, Severity:20, State: 11. A fatal error occurred while reading the input stream from the network. The session will be terminated (input error: 109, output error: 0)
SQL Server Data Tools and SQL Server Database Engine reside on the same server.
We tried the following:
Disabling TCP Chimney Offload
Installed Windows Server 2008 SP1
Splitting our SSIS code into multiple steps so it is not all one large continuous operation
The error occurs during a BulkDataLoad task.
Other options we are investigating with the engineering team (out-sourced, so delayed responses):
Firewall configurations (everything is local, so this should not make a difference)
Disabling the anti-virus scanner
Are there other things we can try?
Any insight is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!Hi HenryKwan,
Based on the current information, the issue can be caused by many reasons. Please refer to the following tips:
Install the latest hotfix based on your SQL Server version. Ps: there is no SQL Server 2012 R2 version.
Change the MaxConcurrentExecutables property from -1 to another one based on the MAXDOP. For example, 8.
Set "RetainSameConnection" Property to FALSE on the all the connection managers.
Reference:
https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/774370/ssis-packages-abort-with-unexpected-termination-message
If the issue is still existed, as Jakub suggested, please provide us more information about this issue.
Thanks,
Katherine Xiong

Error 4014 Severity 16 State A fatal error occurred while reading the input streamfrom the network
We encounter following error intermittently Error 4014 Severity 20 State 16 , A fatal error occurred while reading the input stream from the network
I have checked the RING_BUFFER_CONNECTIVITY from sys.dm_os_ring_buffers, we are able to find the remote_host IP where connections are being closed/killed, the error being logged in sys.dm_os_ring_buffers, comes from multiple remote_host, we have raised
to O/s and Networking Team they seem to have no clue, why this error occurs
Server: Virtual Machine
Operating System: WINDOW 2008 R2 SP1
MSSQL 2008 STD ED SP3 10.0.5850.0
Database mirroring is configured for the application database.
Antivirus enable on the database server
How do we find the cause for this error being logged in SQL server logs, is this error due to SQL database mirroring or memory issue?
What needs to be checked on the O/s and Network, I have been checking on the internet and everywhere it is pointing to NIC drivers or security patches
Also in the system events following error was being logged, but after restarting the vm service this error has not re-occurred
A timeout (30000 milliseconds) was reached while waiting for a transaction response from the VMTools service
Kindly suggest on Error 4014 Severity 20 State 16, A fatal error how to resolve
[email protected]Hello,
Could you try to use Network Monitor or WireShark to examine if the connections resets are coming from a client computer
or from the host where SQL Server is installed?
Network Monitor can be downloaded from the following link:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=4865
If you use Network Monitor trace you will identify connection resets by looking for “TCP: Flags=,,R.A” at the description column on the Frame Summary. Once you find the flag, the Source column will tell you the identity of the host resetting the connection,
maybe is not the SQL Server host.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Alberto Morillo

I just installed Lightroom 5 from Amazon for my Mac with 10.10.1 software. When I open it I get: "An error occurred when attempting to change modules". It won't import photos and has no side panels under Library. What should I do?
I Nearly bought from Amazon too but I found a thread from Adobe stating that the only recognized outlet for lightoom is themselves and other outlets serial numbers will not be guaranteed.
THat at was sufficient for me to buy direct from Adobe, hope you get it sorted.
