Tabs and anything in top 1 inch of screen won'd click open.

only on firefox .... I cannot open the tabs at top or close them. On my mail I cannot open any of the apps. like inbox. And on facebook cannot open anything like contacts or messages. Seems like the top 2 inches of the screen is dead. Cursor moves all over, address bar works but can't click on anything in that small important area.

I have followed the article you refer to above and I have disabled all extensions but "McAfee SiteAdvisor 3.4.0".
I only had three anyway, one of which was Babylon.
I have restarted Mozilla and tested the e-mail in Yahoo.co.uk. It works.
I have not bothered to test three extensions I disabled. Do I really need them?

I fixed the problem somewhat myself by removing the miniSD and manually inserting it. It did not populate automatically. I had to open iPhoto and then it populated only the most recent photos I had taken which fortunately were the only ones I need. No error messages this seems to be a new occurrence.
Is there a way to just turn iPhoto off and download my photos to the folder of my own choosing?

Just added a 30 inch monitor and have a 23 inch flat screen. I have 6 gigs of D RAM, and run Parallels which I give 2 gig's to. Since adding the 30 inch Apple monitor and upgraded video card the Mac is running slow. Anyone know why? Should I add 2 gigs more of memory?

What video card are you using?
What version of OSX are you using?
What model of mac pro are you using (e.g., 2010 Mac Pro is 5,1).
And also,
Try smc and pram reset.
And see if the monitor lites up if you boot in safe mode.
It is possible your monitor simply failed -- its power supply or something else.

I update firefox and was asked how I wanted tabs displayed. I orignally had new tabs opening across the top of the screen but changed a setting so they came up on the sidebar. I want to go back to tabs across the top of the screen but can't find how to do this.

I downloaded a program to be able to open docx diles and now every time I try to open one there are endless new tabs that read "new Tab" scrollomig across the top of the screen. How do I make it stop?

I had an old version of office so I tried to install a free download that will allow me to open docx files. Now when I try to open one and endless stream of tabs that say "New Tab" scrolls across the top of the page. How do I make it stop. I already went and got office 2010 but it is still doing it. I upgraded to 11.0 and clicked to open tabs, which will take me to Fox Tabs, but I was unable to click any open. When I clicked Edit, every thing disappeared. I've been using Firefox for several years and just ran across a problem within the past two weeks. I usually have several tabs open at the same time while browsing the Internet. Suddenly, when I tried to open a new tab by clicking on the "+" tab at the top right of the screen, a new tab would not open. Then I tried clicking on "file + new tab" and a new tab still won't open. If I click on a link within an email, then a new tab will open, but I cannot choose to open a new tab. Please help! Thanks! :)

Your above posted system details show multiple Java Console extensions.
You can uninstall and remove Java Console extensions, you do not need them to run Java applets.

Link inside tab must open next tab and jump to top of page

I am trying to open the next tab from a link within the tabbed panel while ensuring the top of the tab is focused on the screen.

In Panel one, there are links to panel 3 and panel 4. On some screens you will need to scroll down to see this links and it is this scenario I am working on.
If you click the link to panel three, the panel will open but as it is smaller, the viewer will be left reading the content below and not the panel itself, which will be very confusing. This is especially so if you are using a laptop.
I need to force the link to jump to the to the top of the screen, something like including a named anchor inside the tab itself.
I am using the following code as found on this forum, but it's not working <a href="javascript:;" onclick="TabbedPanels1.showPanel('3')" scroll(0,0);="">Panel 3</a>

You need a bookmark for the top of your tabbed panels and then to change the href of you link to reference it
Try the following changes

My safari tab is covering the top of my screen

I've tried zooming in and out and nothing had worked. My tab bar is still overing half of the top of my screen.

    Safari > Preferences > Extensions
    Turn off Extensions if any and launch Safari again to test.
    Turn on those one by one and test.

When I right-click, the same context menu opens up (the menu for hyperlinks, with "Open Link in New Tab" and the like) regardless of what/where I right-click.

Regardless of where I right-click on a displayed webpage (NOT the menu bar at the top of the screen), be it highlighted text, a blank spot in a webpage, or anything, the context menu for a hyperlink pops up (with the options for opening it in a new tab, window or private window, bookmarking), and none of the options actually do anything even if it is a hyperlink I'm clicking on. Using keyboard shortcuts like Ctrl + clicking work fine. I haven't installed any plugins recently, and it only started a few hours ago. Wat do?

When right clicking and selecting, open in new tab and then repeating on a new link, the first link opens again??.. Only happens with OS X

On a page with multiple links I like to right click a few links and get them to open in a new tab. However, about 50% of the time the first link opens twice. It only seems to happen with OS X but have not noticed any similar behaviour with other applications.

Illustrator tutorials only show top of the screen/won't scroll on Mac OS X Yosemite

I've just downloaded Illustrator onto a brand-new Mac running OS X Yosemite.
I've never used Illustrator before, but am familiar with Photoshop.
I've got the screen with the tutorials/tips open. It will only show the top of the screen - there is clearly lower information, but I can't get to it. I can just click on the videos on the bottom of the screen, but can't scroll down to see them.
Tips? Any idea what is happening?

The tutorials are downloaded from the internet, so in case your Firewall settings don't allow Illustrator to get them or the internet is down, then you might not be able to see them.
What happens when you scroll way down - there should be a button to hide the welcome screen. Is it there?
Maybe some staff people can shed some more light on this.

HP Support Assistant pop-up message frozen on my lower right section of the screen, won't click off

Help! A pop up message from the HP Support Assistant keeps popping up a few minutes after starting up my Pavilion laptop. It won't click off. It asks me if I want to keep Quick Access in my taskbar, but it won't let me pick yes or no or click it off. Help!

If you go into the HP Support Assistant settings you can change how you display notifications on your laptop. Try setting the notifications to task bar only and see if the pop up continues to come up on your screen.

When I try to open downloads a new tab appears at the top of the screen and I can't open it.
