Tabs in X-Fi Audio Cons

Hi,
I often changing modes in X-Fi Audio Console. However, everytime we started the Console, first tab we see is tab called "Device Information" (in addition, on this tab there aren`t any useful information). So, to display "Mode" tab we must click this tab manually. Why?
My suggest for Creative programmers is that place "Mode" tab first in Console window.
I don`t want to use nor special applications for mode switching, nor full version of X-Fi drivers. Simply, Audio Console is (except this issue) ideal and perfect application.
Regards,
kkk77

Thank you my friend,I have done as you have mentioned (made sure the DLL did not stay there when I rebooted before I installed your version), and now I have the version which you have built. However, I am still unable to hear the subwoofer I am so sad... even my default on-board card supports the 5. just great, and I love the sound of that, but I was hoping for something better from Creative - instead, all I got was a soundcard I can only use with my headphones at the moment because of a faulty driver...
Did you enable Bass Redirection?
Run Console Launcher, click on Speakers and Headphone -> choose 5. Speakers.
Then click on Bass (Bass Management) and enable Bass Redirection.

  • [Qosmio X300] How to get MaxxAudio tab in realtek hd audio manager again?

First, sorry for my bad english, but I need your help =)
After I updated my audio driver (realtek hd audio) the MaxxAudio tab in the realtek window was lost...
To fix it, I have tried to "downdate" my driver, but I always can't see MaxxAudio.
I have also search solutions in Internet (Toshiba drivers page, forums, realtek.com...) I have found nothing.
As I had upgraded my computer to windows 7, I have tried to install an old version of this driver which was in the Toshiba Upgrade DVD, but no MaxxAudio tab in the realtek window...
And now, I have no Idea anymore, that's why I ask you.

    It's a Qosmio X300-16M (windows 7 64bit)
I downloaded the last toshiba's sound driver (for win 7 64bit), but it's as if it doesn't contain MaxxAudio anymore... (but the file maxxaudio.dll is still in realtek directory)
It worked correctly after Windows 7 update, (that's why I tried to reinstall the audio drivers which were in the DVD... but it does not have resolved the problem.)
And all my system restore's points have been lost after a wrong bios update or something else (but this isn't a problem anymore)
Now, my computer works correctly, my only problem is that the MaxxAudio tab (from Waves Audio) in the realtek audio manager disappeared... (It just makes a better sound...)
And I just want to know if it's a curent problem or not... and if someone can fix it

what's your os? if you have xp, you should try sp2...that fixed the problems i was having with my card when i upgraded...try telling windows to go to 5. sound through the sound devices in control panel and then go back to surrmixer and see if that works...

  • Audio mutes when switching modes in Audio Cons

I have an Xfi Platinum that is working great except one annoying problem. Ever since I upgraded the drivers to the latest version, everytime I switch audio modes, for example from game to entertainment, the sound mutes on my system. I have to open the Windows XP sound control to uncheck mute every time. Has anybody experienced this problem and have a fix for it's I downloaded the mode switching program from a link on this forum, but it does the same thing. Thank you!

Don't know if this will help...  Try changing the multi-track preview/playback settings (press F4)...  If the playback buffer is too big or too small you may get dropouts...
Also try to defrag the hard drive with virtual memory turned off.  With VM off it may run slow, but it should defrag the swap file as well making your drive super optimized. You may have to boot in safe mode to make it work though...  Of course you can turn the VM back on when you're done...
Clean out the dust from the computer and make sure it isn't over heating...???

for those that are running xp64bit, official, non beta drivers and an audio console application were released today.

    Hi Jayk88,
I think GreggH is talking about the one released on the 29th of May. This beta driver is meant for the X-Fi Xtreme Audio PCI version only. The latest beta driver for the PCI-e card dates back to 6th Feb.

  • Missing xfi audio cons

I got no error msg during the software installation (with the CD)but I can't launch the audio console. I get a message "the selected audio device is not supported by the application, would you like to select another one, now ?". The trouble is that I can't select any audio device !!!!The only choice is "respect default Windows values". I've checked the hardware connections.
Does anyone have experienced this kind of trouble ? Any help would be appreciated !

  • No Dolby/DTS decoder tab in audio console after installing new driv

Using X-Fi Elite Pro and Vista 64-bit /w new 2.8.0004 drivers. Notes in the lastest driver says that Dolby/DTS encoding is enabled for Vista, but I'm not seeing the decoder tab like other people have. Can I still decode with my soundcard using method 2 in this thread

I don't have decoder tab with X-Fi XtremeMusic either in Vista x64. Is that normal And what does that "Dolby Digital and DTS decode re-established for sound cards that included decoding in their Windows XP drivers" feature introduced with latest X-Fi drivers mean if there's no decoder options at all
I have the X-Fi XtremeMusic soundcard and Vista Ultimate x64 SP, I get the decoder tab in both creative audio console and Creative Console Launcher (All modes). In order to get the Dolby Digital and DTS decoder tab in both creative audio console and Creative Console Launcher (Entertainment mode, game mode, ect) you have to install the following. Later, you can buy the Dolby Digital Li've as a add on.

  • Firefox 4 has massive delay opening a new tab with audio content, Firefox 3.6.16 opens the same link instantly, why?

When I open a new tab to stream an audio mp3 file from the server. Firefox 3.6.16 streams the audio instantly, Firefox 4 has really long delay with just white blank page, befor it comes with QT player. why?

I've been searching for a solution for this for months. Frankly, I'm sick of Mozilla ignoring this problem, which has persisted from version 4 through 6. Makes me ill.
The content is actually downloading, but Firefox hides the content until the entire file is downloaded. It used to display and allow you to play the partially downloaded content. Safari does this with ease. If someone can point out the parameter in about:config that controls this, I'd be grateful.

  • Audio still plays after IE7 tab closed

Trying debug an issue we are having with OSMF when using a live stream in Internet Explorer in a tab. When the tab is closed, the audio will continue the play. I did a search and and found a post by someone who experienced a similar situation in IE6 with audio in general (http://forums.adobe.com/message/69675#69675) but no responses.
Anyone experienced this and could share any knowledge?
    Cheers
    /Kris

Ok I think I solved the issue. I was removing and nulling the media element before I was removing it from the video player. Once I switched those two, everything worked fine. Seems to make sense.

  • What happened to the tab audio playing icon?

So, I have a lot of tabs open and as we all know some music starts on one of them.  No problem, just look for the audio icon on one of the tabs, then close the tab or mute the audio.  I look at my tabs and I do not see the audio playing icon on any of the tabs.  Has that feature been removed?  If not, can it be activated some kind of way? Thanks.

Some menu entries in the main menu bar are hidden if you use the mouse and only appear if you use the keyboard to open the menu (Bug 626825).
You can see the difference if you use Alt+F to open the File menu or other menus like the Edit menu (Alt+E) and compare that to what you see if you use the mouse to open the menu after you have made the menu bar visible by tapping Alt or by pressing F10.
You can close a tab with a double-click on that tab or via the right-click context menu of that tab.
