Tabs on the actual bottom of the page?

Hi. Is there a way to make tabs appear on the actual VERY bottom of the page? And I don't mean that "bottom" which is still on top, gosh, who named that feature?
Basically, I want all my tabs to appear at the bottom but I'm not keen on using any plugins. In previous Firefox version it was pretty simple by changing one of the config files. I currently use Tab Mix (which allows such tabs to be at the bottom) but I don't really like it as it has issues with session restoring. Many thanks for your help!

Some of the time the back button is greyed out when i have clicked on a new link. It's not a new window or tab, and the page I came from is not even in my history!

At first I thought I had unknowingly gone to a new tab or window, but that's not it. I haven't ruled out that I have completely lost my mind, but I'm really hoping that's not the problem, although with win 7 that seems more and more likely all the time. It seems to happen at random. I tired holding down or right clicking the back button but there is nothing. The fact that the page I came from is gone from the history seems really strange.

This issue can be caused by the McAfee SiteAdvisor extension.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

CAN't find Parameters, Events and Approval tabs in the Page Properties opti

I am trying to test the approval process. I have created a page group and also created a page under that. I don't find the 3 tabs Parameters, Events and Approval in the Edit Page/Page Properties option. Please reply me what I have to do to activate those tabs.

In your Page Group properties ensure that parameters and events are enabled. Once they are enabled at the page group level, the tabs should appear in your page properties.

Switching between tabs refreshes the page

Hi ,
I am new to the OA framework and i am trying to implement a page with a global region(Message Layout) and a Subtab region with 3 tabs. There is a table in the first tab which is dependent on the value i select in the global region above. I would be enabling PPR later to force the refresh of the table in the first tab, which is the default tab.
I have a controller set on the first tab region.I have observed that when i switch between the tabs(between 1&3 and then back to 1st), the processFormRequest and the processRequest are called each time i click on the first tab. Is this expected functionality? I was thinking that these functions get initialized only during the page rendering. Please advice if i might be doing something wrong here.
My major reference for the OA learning are the dev guide and several tutorials available on net.

The functionality u mentioned can be controlled by setting the subtab mode.This is what javadoc says:
SubTabLayout Bean can be run in 2 Modes:
SUBTAB_REDIRECT_MODE
Process Request of only Selected Indexed Region is called
On Form Submission, we re-direct back to same page and rendering new Tab
Process Request of entire page is called on each Tab click
DataObjects are created as and when needed. So if user never clicks of a particular tab, the dataObject associated with that Tab is not created.
SUBTAB_FORM_SUBMISSION_MODE
Process Request of all the nested regions are called
Prcess Request is called only once.
We don't redirect back to same page
All the DataObjects are created in one shot and users them on form submission
To Switch between modes, do following:
subTabLayoutBean.setAttributeValue(MODE_ATTR, SUBTAB_FORM_SUBMISSION_MODE) : Full Mode
subTabLayoutBean.setAttributeValue(MODE_ATTR, SUBTAB_REDIRECT_MODE) : Partial Mode

After an update a few weeks ago, the tab feature that used to come up with boxes with my most used pages e.g. Facebook, Ebay, and many others just isn't there anymore. I can't find how to get this feature back. Please help.

Do you have the Test Pilot Addon? Test pilot was expirimenting with new tab pages recently, to determine which new tab page should make it into a later version of firefox (probably 9 or 10). I believe the study is over now, so they have removed the new tab page.

Can I individually change any of the attributes of an individual tab (not the page) on a Tab Control?

I have a Tab Control with approx. 15 tabs. After the user changes anything (adding text, changing a ring control, etc. ) from the default configuration on any of the 15 tabs, I would like a change to that individual tab only (say color change, text change, anything) so when the user sees all 15 tabs, they know what tab page has had changes to the defaults.
I appreciate your help with this one!
(Note: I tried using a imported bitmap control of a red checkmark - and use true/false to an
visible property node -this only works when placed in any of the Tab control pages, but not on the individual Tab itself.)

I have attached a LabVIEW 6i example to this post that indicates with an LED if the control on the Tab has been changed from its default value. I used the classic LED's to make them invisible when the value is still the default. Hope this helps.

Firefox doesn't respond when opening a new tab until the page loads completely

When I open a page in a new tab, Firefox freezes until the new page loads completely. I can't switch tabs or do anything. It then works normally. Older versions of Firefox did not have this problem; it only started after I updated a few months ago. What can be done about this problem?

How to close a tab in the page?

hi i know how to close tabs but it's annoying to hit the number of the tab and then click on the x
can i close it like in firefox pc? with an x or maybe just tapping and moving it to the left the tab so it closes

How do i make the tabs attach on bottom (the "page") instead of hanging from the top (the URL bar).

Last time i restarted FF, the tabs, which are under the URL bar, are "hanging from" the URL bar, with a space under the tabs before the page starts. I want it attached on bottom, with the space on top of the tabs.
I do not know if this is an option, or from some addon that i am or am not using. Please help me.

I only have one theme, the default. I do not use other toolbars. I started in safe mode, all add-ons disabled.

Where is the refresh button and where is the bar at the bottom of the page that gives the loading status of the page? Why did you mess with something that was perfectly fine??

I updated to firefox 4 and it's not as good as the former version. There is no refresh button, and I use that a lot. There is no loading status bar at the bottom of the page and I liked the tabs BELOW the page address.
Why do you keep changing things, just for the H**L of it...

In Firefox 4 by default the Stop, Go and Reload (Refresh) buttons are combined and attached to the right hand edge of the location bar.
When you are typing in the location bar it will show the Go button. When a site is loading it shows the Stop button. At other times it shows the Reload button.
If you want separate buttons, right-click on a toolbar and choose Customize, you can then drag and drop the stop or reload buttons and place them elsewhere. If you place them in the order "Reload-Stop" on the right hand edge of the location bar they will be combined again. Standard tabs - Burned into the page?

Suppose there is an application with dozens of pages, one standard tabset with a bunch of tabs, all the pages are attached to tabset (default page template One Level Tabs)
I would like to conditionally display one of the pages without any tabs on it because it also functions as a standalone page.
Seems like this is not very easy to do. Yes, I can go to each of the tabs and conditionally hide them but that is too difficult to maintain.
Is there a easy way to hide the entire tabset from one place? The tabset is part of the page attributes (like the template) so this seems not possible.
Am I missing something? If not, please consider this an enhancement request for the next release.

It's pretty easy actually.
Copy the One Tab page template.
Replace the #TAB_CELLS# with an unused #REGION_POSITION_0N# in my example I used #REGION_POSITION_07#
Copy the snippets from that page template for your current and non current tabs (into your favorite text editor).
Create Named Row report template. (using the tab snippets you just saved off to the side).
For the first row of your named row template put in the html code for your current tab. Use the pl/sql conditional to figure out what makes it current (page number, item value whatever)
For the second row just put in the code for your non current tab.
Create a Report Region with no region template in the #REGION_POSITION_0N# that you replaced the #TAB_CELLS# with.
Create your report sql , make sure to alias your link and display columns to "TAB_LABEL" and "TAB_LINK" set the report template to the Named Row Template you created, set the pagination to none and !bamn! there you go.

It actually much more powerful than the built in tabs and is really nice because you can create as many tab types as you want not just current and non current.
Or provide specific images, styles, classes, or even custom tab html per tab as all you need to do is query it in.
Like I said it's my new favorite.

In fullscreen mode, is there a way to prevent the page from shifting down when displaying the menu and tabs?

In fullscreen mode (F11), when moving the mouse toward the top of the screen to display the tabs & stuff, the page displayed is shifted down. This makes it annoying when returning down with the mouse - you want to reach a certain link, for example, but your target gets shifted up once the tabs & stuff is hidden back.
Is there any way to make the tabs & stuff display 'above' the page content, like on another layer?

Is it the web page display that is changing its own position, or is it something
about the toolbars that is pushing the page down? I have the same issue with
my browser using an add-on to show a multiple line bookmark bar.

2 tabs on the same page

I am using a tab control in my application. The application level template is one level tab with sidebar. In one of my page I would like to use both application level tab and one more tab on the page. The purpose is that the page will be the data entry screen that is based on multiple tables. I wanted the application level tab to stay like that and use another tab on just this page to navigate between the grouped data elements from different tables. Just like the one that we can see on the properties of any Apex element. I tried different options but was not able to get the functionality like the property page. Any examples are help is appreciated. I am not time crunch. Please help.

Hi,
There are other list templates as well - eg the Tabbed Navigation List. But, either way, you are probably going to have to adjust the style for the template (probably creating a new List template based on a copy of the existing one and working on the copy instead) to make it appear like tabs. You can use the tab defintions on your page template as a guide on what styling needs to be applied.

It could be related to one of your add-ons. Do you have any that seem to be related to tabs? You can check here:

If there's nothing obvious, you could try Firefox's Safe Mode as a diagnostic.
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, try starting Firefox in Firefox
[http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode Safe Mode]. Be careful not to "reset" anything permanently if you didn't back up.
Does that bypass the problem? If so, you can disable all add-ons and then gradually re-enable the most important ones until you figure out which one is causing the problem.

Then in an unbounded task flow, I added the bounded task flow which is just created above. when I run this page, the page is loaded but the tabs doesn't switch. When I click on the other tabs, it doesnt change, it is always active only in the first tab.
Is this a bug in adf, or am I missing something?

I want a page fragment with tabbedPanel to be loaded in my dynamic region. As I am facing this issue, I tried very simple example of creating a page fragment with a tabbedPanel of 3 tabs.
1. added this page fragment in an bounded task flow.
2. In the unbounded task flow(adfc-config.xml) added a view with the some jspx page and then added the bounded task flow created above as a static region in this jspx page.
3. When I run this view, I can see the page loaded with all the tabs in the page frament.
4. By default the first tab is selected, but when I tried to click on the other tabs, there is no response. It still stays in the first tab only.

Initialization of the page, first disclosed tab

Hello,
I have a series of tabs inside a panel tab. When disclosing the tabs actions are invoked from within the actionListener according to the id or other attributes of the tabs.
However, the problem is with the first disclosed tab after the page is rendered or reloaded. In this case the page is set with a default open tab (the first one in the panel) and no events are issued.
What I want is to issue a "disclose" event for the first disclosed tab in such situations, as if the user clicked on it.
Is there a way to do this?

you can queue events. In the tab case, its an DisclosureEvent: org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.event.DisclosureEvent
DisclosureEvent myInitialEvent = new DisclosureEvent(componentBindingToShowDetail, boolean_epxanded_true_flase);
myInitialEvent.queue();
However, the tricky part is when you want to queue the event because clicking onto an opened tab does not raise any other event. Adding a JavaScript af:clientListener may be an option to try. Its complex however as you would need to use an af:serverListener to call the server for the Java code to execute
