Tabs won't close? Help Procedure: Set Home Page %7C does not help

I have more than 100 open tabs that will not close.
Help procedure Options: Home Page: %7C did not work
Reinstalled Foxfire did not work.
Now what?

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the files sessionstore.js [2] and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
* Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
* http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.<br />
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

  • A Home Page That Does Not Require A Logon?

    I am a new user of Oracle Portal and I am trying to build a portal site for our department. I have an Oracle Portal using Oracle Application Server 10g Release 2 (10.1.2) SEOne for Windows and have the following question:
    Is it possible to create a portal page that a viewer sees immediately when the page renders for the URL without having to log on to the Portal?
    Essentially, we would like to create a page whereby a viewer will see an initial home page, then if the viewer is part of our department, they can then choose to log in to our Oracle Portal when necessary.
    Let me know if any of you have ideas.

    Hi

  • Please Help I need a page that does not Scroll..

    I have a clients site and they are unhappy with the way the
    page
    scrolls. the site is
    http://www.thecrossingministries.com/
    they want the content to scroll but on some of the pages the
    browser has
    scrollbar on the right hand side and they do not want that
    there.
    the index page is close but it still forces a scrollbar and
    I am
    unsure how to fix it.
    And on some of the other pages the client has to scroll down
    on the
    browsers scroll bar to see the bottom arrow on the content
    scroll.
    Any ideas? Thanks for your time

    What size browser viewport do they want to allow scrollbars
    on? If you
    cannot answer this question, then you cannot comply with the
    client's
    wishes.

  • When clicking on a link firefox opens to my home page but does not go to the link.

    I've disabled all plugins and extensions then reset but still have the problem.

    Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Hidden tab won't close, constantly loading.

    There's a tab on my Firefox that doesn't show on the window. It seems to be a tab that was previously open, that I thought I'd closed. While it doesn't show on the window, the tab preview when I mouse over it in the windows taskbar shows that the tab is still open. When I click the x in the preview, the tab won't close. Also on mousing over the tab, it shows that the page is blank, but it seems as though it is loading something. It may or may not be causing my computer to run slower than usual, but I can't be sure. Either way, it's annoying and the only way I can get rid of it is by restarting my browser, but even then after using the browser for a while another tab like that shows up and I run the same problem. How do I close a tab like this?
    Extra notes:
    The tab is not open from the start. It is not a homepage, as my homepage is set to about:blank, and opening a homepage upon starting my browser is disabled.
    The tab is not visible on the Firefox window. It is only visible on the windows preview when mousing over the Firefox application in the windows taskbar.

  • How can I set home page for a new tab? how can i get firefox to open the home page every time i open a new tab in Windows vista home basic??

    How can I set home page for a new tab? how can i get firefox to open the home page every time i open a new tab in Windows vista home basic??
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened

    Firefox can have multiple home pages if you wish. Each home page that will open when starting Firefox is separated by the "|" character.
    See: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/How+to+set+the+home+page
    To have new tabs open a specific web site, add one of the following extensions:
    http://sogame.awardspace.com/newtaburl/
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/777

  • I have set home page, what option do I use to set new tabs to open as home page?

    I have set home page default. What option do I use so that new tabs open as home page?

    You can look at this extension:
    * NewTabURL : https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/newtaburl/

  • When I click my home page icon the tab this is open goes to my home page BUT another new tab opens.

    when I click my home page icon the tab that is open goes to my home page BUT another new tab opens. How do I stop the new tab from appearing?

    It's easy to add extra tabs to your set of home pages. You can use the Options dialog to make sure there is only one. These articles point the way:
    * [[Startup, home page and download settings]]
    * [[How to set the home page]]
    Because the space is short, you may want to select the whole home page URL (Ctrl+A) and paste it into a document or into a larger textbox like the one I'm typing in now. You're looking for a vertical bar (|) that is followed by a second URL.
    If it's not part of your home page setting, the most likely cause for this change is a bad add-on that rode along with some free software.
    I suggest starting here:
    Open Windows Control Panel, Uninstall a Program. Click the "Installed on" column heading to group the infections, I mean, additions, by date. This can help in smoking out undisclosed bundle items that snuck in with some software you agreed to install. Take out as much trash as possible here.
    Then, in Firefox, open the Add-ons page using either:
    * Ctrl+Shift+a
    * "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
    In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable (or Remove, if possible).
    Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
    Does that shut down the extra tab?

    Question
    I was on an online course website, logged in and working on an assignment. Suddenly the page disappeared and was not on the tabs either. I went to the home page and tried to log back in and it said I was already logged in on another browser window and if I proceeded to log in again the assignment I was working on would be ended and I would receive a zero. I can't locate the browser window that I was signed in on. Help...I don't want to get a zero, but don't know how to get back into the website under my original log in & get back to my half completed assignment.

    Hi,
    Please try this: In Firefox '''History''' ('''Alt''' + '''S''') and check if it is listed in either '''Recently Closed Tabs''' or '''Recently Closed Windows''' or in the list below. If you cannot find it click '''Show All History''', on the left of the window click '''Today''' below '''History''' and on the right look for the site entry corresponding closely to the time when you lost it. If you cannot see the column heading named '''Visit Date''', you may have to enable it by right-clicking on the column header strip.
    Also please note that the online course site may have redirected you to another site for the test, so it is also a good idea to look into site entries that may match the time.
