Tabular Control - Set a tab to default?
My program currently running with tabular control, has 4 tabs, but always starts on tab 3. Is it possible to redefine another as the default startup tab?
Everytime I save and build the file, I make sure to keep it on tab 1 but doesn't help.

f you want to make doubly sure, create a local variable of your tab control, and then right-click on the local variable and select "Create Constant". The constant will have the tab names, and you can select the tab you want. Just make sure this bit of code runs at the beginning of your code.

A new tab opens by default as a blank tab (about:blank).<br />

Need to set the tab order in HTMLB controls
I readed in another thread that it was not possible to set the tab order in HTMLB controls on BSP forms.
However it was possible to do a little workaround, by setting the tooltip property, and put in the tabindex in that. Because Browsers do understand the property tabindex.

How can I set the tab order of text box controls on each page of a tab control?
I need to be able to select the tabbing order of individual controls on a single page of a tabbed control. How??
In LV 6.1 an up you should be ablel to right click on the edge of the tab control when the tab-page in question is selected.
The bttom selcetion in the pop-up is "Reoder controls in page..."
selecting this option will switch editing modes to allow you to specify the ored, just like in a cluster.
I seem to remeber in older versions you had to drag the tabable controls off the tab control, specify the tabbing oder and then drag them back on. The oldest version I have on this machine is 6.1 so that all I can speak for at the moment.

Multiple ALV Grid Controls per report - problem with default displ.variant
Hi,
I have a report with few screens called sequentialy. Each one of the screens has implemented own instance of ALV Grid Control within custom container, means:
- screen 100 has container Cont100 and grid control "grid100",
- screen 110 has container Cont110 and grid control "grid110"
- screen 120 has container Cont120 and grid control "grid120"
and so on...
Each one of the grid controls is initialized with own field catalog table, with own layout and variant structure definitions. My problem occurs when the user changes the display variant for some of the grid controls and save the layout variant using "default setting" checkbox. In this case next time the program is started all other grid controls behaves like they don't have their own variant definitions, but uses the default setting of the mentioned screen. This leads (usualy) to unsuable grid controls by default, because usualy different controls have no equal field-definition tables. I have the same behaviour even when there are more than 1 ALV grids on a single screen (for example - 2).
For now I don't provide variant variables at selection screen, but it seems there is no way to provide such variables for each one of the grid-controls.
Is anyone aware how to control this? Means no matter if there is default setting in use for some of the grid-controls, how to manipulate other grid-controls not to use this default setting?

Setting the user's default locale
Hello all,
I am working with an IRC applet client. This applet loads information based on the client's locale. I found that some machines load the wrong locale, and I guess it is a result of different settings in the OS. I need to make sure that all clients load the same locale. The machines which use this applet are all win32, and I have the benefit of being able to instruct them what to do in order to set their applet to the proper locale.
The way I see it there are two alternatives: either setting the applet or the OS. I tried adding parameters in the Advanced tab of the Plugin's control panel (-Duser.language=he), but it did not help.
Where should I look in the OS in order to set something which will change the applet's default locale?
Is there anything else I can do???

David.I assume you don't have access to the applet source code -- if so, you could easily change the code to use your own locale.
If it wouldn't be in violation to any license agreement, you could decompile the applet to retrieve the source. There are several open source decompilers, I would just do a search here to get some names.
Alternatively, you could write an applet loader which sets the JVM's default locale (using java.util.Locale.setDefault()) before passing control off to the applet. See http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jsp?forum=4&thread=474305 (reply 5) for some hints on how this can be done. -
Why can't FF successfully set itself as my default browser?
Firefox 3.6.10 is unable to successfully set itself as my default browser.
I'm running Win7/64 Enterprise SP1
FF is set to check itself on startup, and each time reports that it is not the default browser, do I wish to set it so? I say "yes", but am asked next time anyway.
If I then shut FF down immediately, then restart it, I am asked again.
FF has an option to "check now" whether it is the default, under the Tools->Options->General tab.
Clicking "Check Now" brings up that same dialogue.
I click "Check Now", am told FF is not the default, do I want to set it so? I answer "Yes", the dialogue is dismissed.
I then click "Check Now" again, and am again told that FF is not my default. (Yes, I am Administrator)
Under Default Programs, FF is designated to handle FTP, HTTP and HTTPS protocols, and to open .htm and .html filetypes.
As far as I can tell, FF acts as if it is the default browser. Why is its own check for same always coming up false?
What does FF '''really''' check, if not the protocols and file associations?

I was provoked into trying related things at random, and here's what I came up with as a workaround:
If you go into Control Panel->Default Programs -> Set Program Access and Defaults, there are three radio-button options: Microsoft, Non-Microsoft, and Custom.
(Custom was already selected)
With the Mozilla Options->Advanced window open, check the "Set as default browser", then click the "Check Now" button. It will report that FF is not your default browser, etc. Ecce quaestio, and all that.
Back to "Set Program Access", click the "Non-Microsoft" button. Close it.
Back to FF, and try "Check Now" again. Now it says "FF is already your default browser".
Now RE-OPEN Control Panel and get back to "Set Program Access and Defaults". It's back to "Custom". But FF is apparently satisfied that it is the default now. Let's see if it stays that way. -
Under my mail tab, it shows that I have a specific email account set up as a default account. That is the account I would like for me emails to be sent from. But when I actually send out an email such as a picture, it is being sent from one of my different email accounts that is not set up as the default. How can I change this so that future messages will be sent from the default account? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!!
All photo attachments received or sent with the iPhone's Mail app appear inline or viewed in place within the body of the message when viewed with the iPhone's Mail app which is the same with the Mail.app on a Mac. A photo attached to a message with the iPhone's Mail app is sent as a true attachment to the message. How an inline or viewed in place attachment appears on the recipient's end depends on the recipient's email client. If the recipient's email client does not support viewing an attached photo inline or viewed in place within the body of the message, the attached file must be manually selected and opened to viewed.

I have been using the Firefox feature in which I could have multiple sets of tabs open but see only the set I was working with. I updated and now feature is gone. I had a small icon on the upper right side of my toolbar. I used it all the time to keep separate windows for news, financial items, travel plans, etc. Has this been removed from Firefox?

"Tab" control and Tab order of controls inside the tab
Hello everybody,
I have created the tab control with 6 'tabs', inside every tab I have some controls, like edit fields etc. I wanted to make an order of controls for every tab, so I have selected the option "Tab-order settings" from menu "Edit" (sorry for translation, I use non-English version of LabView), and tried to set the order. After saving it with "OK" button it turned out that the order is not changed. Simple it seems that the option doesn't work for controls in tabs. Is this a bug or do you have a solution for this?

Of course, I have found the topic "tabbing through front panel objects", but it simply describes how to change order for standard controls, not for controls which are inside the Tab control. How do I control how where tabs are opened?
Is there a way to control how new tabs are opened in Firefox? Currently, when I click on either the "New Tab" button or the "+" button, new tabs are opened to the far right of all my tabs. I'd like all new tabs to open to the right of my current tab, like how links open up in my current tab if I right click and select "Open Link in New Tab".

default is tab3 but during page load, a virtual click should make tab1 be the first to see.

So changing the GPO here does not affect the machine? If you run a GPupdate /force what happens?
