Tactic 3D Rage Wireless V2 connecting issues

"There is no supported audio device available" it says.
I've already done the initial 8 hours of charging and I've used them for 2 days of slight gaming before they ran out of power. Now that I was going to charge them via USB ports (Tried both 2.0 and 3.0 -USB ports) it just didn't respond to anything. No red blinking light, no nothing. And as I mentioned, it only says "There is no supported audio device available" which really pisses me off. I've reinstalled the one and only driver for my headset/operating system 3 times, which also pisses me off really good. So basicly, it worked the first time i charged it, not the second time. It's a brand new headset, got it last wednesday, which pisses me off the most.
Help out this pissed of guy would you?
Kind kind kind regards Alfons ( )

When I restart my computer with USB-charger being put, it says " keyboard: 2, mouse: 2, hubs 2..... shutting down in 15 seconds" and it shuts down as promised. I remove the USB-charger from the USB-port and it does the regular start up. I've tried every single USB-port (I've got 10 of them) and I am still pretty pissed of to be honest. I'll keep saying that until it gets solved, take no offence Creative Employees (unless you've developed this ga***ge).
EDIT: Not sure if it's entirely connected though. Playback Devices sounds setting says "No jack information available" when I look closer into the headset's properties in there.
Somewhat kind regards Me ( )
Hi Afhene,
There is no jack information available for the Tactic3D Rage Wireless. Please avoid charging the headset via a powered USB hub. Connect the headset direct to the computer's powered USB port.
Since your headset is now detected, you can launch the SB Tactic3D Control Panel and look for the battery level indicator of the headset after it has been paired to the USB wireless transmitter.
battery_indicator.jpg
I suspect that your headset is already fully charged when you did the initial battery charging of 8 hours. Hence, there is no response on the Power LED when you charge the headset for the 2nd time. During the battery charging, the Power LED will blink and stops blinking when it is fully charged.
Power LED (blinking) - charging
Power LED (off) - fully charged; power off state
Power LED (solid white) - fully charged, power on state
If you like to learn more about charging Tactic3D Rage Wireless, you may refer to this article:

You may opt for firmware update of the USB wireless transmitter & headset and observe situation can be improved. Please follow the instructions carefully.

  • Tactic 3D rage wireless volume change

I just bought a tactic 3D rage wireless headset, charged it up, installed the control panel and the firmware from the creative website, and it's working well. However every time I adjust the volume on the headset it bleeps, which is very annoying. How do I disable this?

    Hello Zenna,
    Welcome to the forum!
There is no way to disable the beep sound. When adjusting the volume with the rotary dial, you will get an audible beep tone as an indicator.

  • Tactic 3d Rage Wireless Possible USB Transmitter Problem

    Hi guys,
It is my 3rd rage wireless replacement (mini usb charging entrance were broken on the previous two).
So after unboxing it again, unfortunately I went to firmware page and upgraded the firmwares both usb transmitter and headphones. Nothing went wrong until I try to re pair the headphones with the usb transmitter.
Headphones are working with every buttons on it, it also gets into pairing mode (with fast blinking red lights). However the usb transmitter does nothing when I hold the connect button, it blinks normal instead of rapidly (as stated in the manual).
I tried everything and read many threads but could not find similar problem. I do not think that it is bricked but please help me if it is possible to fix this problem.
Yes it is ridiculous that a simple firmware upgrade is destroying such an expensive product. Shame on you creative!
    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi Xotli,
Do you encounter any error(s) during the firmware update of the headset and the USB transmitter?
Do not connect it to the USB hub. At any one time, the headset and USB transmitter cannot connect together during firmware update; only separate update is allowed.
Here's the instructions given for updating USB transmitter via Windows:
    - Download the file onto your local hard disk.
    - Ensure that your Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless Transmitter is connected to your computer.
    - Ensure that the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless Headset is removed from your computer.
    - Un-compress the downloaded file to a folder in your local hard disk.
    - Double-click <SBTR_PCFW_US_TX_1_59_140721.exe> from the folder which stores the uncompressed files.
    - Follow the instructions on the screen.
    - After the installation of the firmware is completed, unplug and plug in your transmitter and start pairing with the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless headset again.

  • Wireless Lan connection issue with Linux clients

    Hi
In a large Wireless Lan enviroment for a university, we have 3 WISM moduls attached on a 6k hw - Manged by ACS v6.0.181.0
We recently upgraded the software version of the controllers from 4.x to 7.0.98.0 - the Emergency Image version is 5.2.157.0
Since then, the students with Linux clients have massive connection issue - repeated connection lost in a short time period.
However the students with Windows clients have no problem at all.
The studends report, that their linux clients getting so much of some kind of unnecessary broadcast traffic which can not be handled by the NIC - and the NIC goes down - and this happens all 5-10 minutes.
Affected Linux clients are: Ubuntu v10.10 - also OpenSuse, Fedora and Arch-linx with latest OS version.
Any Idea how I could solve this problem?
Thanks in advance for your help

    Hi Nicolas
Thanks for your reply. The broadcast forwarding is disabled on WLC's.
Pls find below the attached picture, which shows the captured broadcast traffic on a linux client (sent by a student to me).
I'm not sure, if its really only the broadcast traffic, which the linux clients can not handle.
From my point of view, it seems also to be that the linux clients are somehow disadvantaged among the other clients like windows or mac, if they all trying to get a wireless connection.
But the fact is only the linux clients are affected - and this happens to the linux clients only in our wireless infrastructure.
Windows or Mac clients have no such problem at all

  • Hp officejet 6500 e709n series wireless network connection issues

My HP officejet 6500 e709n series all-in-one printer was working perfectly fine the last time I used it (admittedly a couple of months ago).  Now it seems like the printer thinks it is connected to the wireless network, but the computer thinks it isn't.  I have run the wireless network test report off the printer a couple of times.  The first time it said it couldn't detect any issues.  The second time it said the only possible issue is that "MAC address filtering may be enabled on your wireles router".  I have NO IDEA how to turn that off.  I also don't know why this would suddenly be an issue since the printer was working fine a couple of months ago and we haven't changed anything since then.  I have also run the network configuration page off the printer and it seems to think everything is fine.
When I run the troubleshooter off my computer (hp pavilion running Windows 7) it says "Printer hp officejet 6500 e709n series fax cannot be contacted over the network".  I am getting very frustrated.  How do I fix this problem?

What router?  What operating system?  Have you run the Wireless Setup WIzard from the Network menu on the front of the printer?  Do that.

  • Wireless network connection issues since last security update

    Hi All,
I've run into an annoying problem since I applied the last security update.
I've locked my wireless network a home down pretty tight. One of the settings I set is the "don't broadcast SSID" for that tiny bit more of security.
Since the last security update my MacBook doesn't connect to my wireless anymore. There are two ways I can get it to connect:
    1. Manually tell it to connect by resupplying the SSID and the WPA key info.
    2. Reconfig my wireless to show it's SSID, connect, tell wireless to hide it's SSID. I then lose connection but have a few seconds that the MacBook "knows" the wireless exists and I can select to connect to it from the wireless icon in my top menu bar.
Anyopne run into this issue and know a fix? Getting annoyed of having to do this every time I boot. Especially as I needed to change my WPA key into something I can remember instead of the 56char key I used to have
    thanx

Thanks Eric! Since changing this setting last night, all has been ok

  • Wireless Audio Connection Issues

I have a mid 2012 Macbook Pro with Retina display. When I try and connect to airplay speakers it takes a very very long time to connect if it connects at all, but if I repeatedly press the volume keys it connect quickly and works correctly. This also happens when I connect to a bluetooth speaker. I don't think this is a problem with the speakers as they work fine with my iPhone. I had this issue with older versions of OS X - I remember it with snow leopard on my old mac! I don't know whether anyone has any experience of this and has found a solution - any suggestions would be good! I feel I've done the obvious stuff - it's not a network issue, the speakers work fine with other devices etc.
    Thanks

Before you upgrade the firmware of your Router, try to make some changes on your router and check if that solves your problem or not.
Login to the router setup page and click on the Wireless tab and below change the "Radio Band to : Standard 20MHz" and change the Channel to 11-2.462GHz" and click on Save Settings... Then click on the Sub tab under Wireless "Advance Wireless Settings" and below Change the Beacon Interval to 50,Change the Fragmentation Threshold to 2201,Change the RTS Threshold to 2202 and Click on Save Settings...
Now see if you can locate your Wireless Network and attempt to connect...

  • Wireless network connectivity issues after upgrading to Snow Leopard

After upgrading to Snow Leopard (10.6.4) I find that my wireless network will not automatically connect to my router (Netgear DG834G) as it used to. First impressions are that the macbook is finding a number of wireless networks but wants to connect to the one that is alphabetically first in the list. It also seems that the signal that the airport is receiving is weak, even when the macbook is next to the router.
Has anyone experienced this when they upgraded?
Any and all help gratefully appreciated
    Nick

but a couple that I used with no problem before I upgraded now give me a "server not found" error after I enter my login and password.
Quit Safari. Open Keychain Access   /Applications/Utilities. Select Passwords on the left.
Delete the keychains for the sites you have problems logging into AND the Safari Forms Autofill keychain. Now from the menu bar click Keychain Access / Keychain First Aid. Select: Verify. If necessary, select: Repair. You will be prompted for your admin password. Click Start.
Relaunch Safari. Navigate to a site. Login with your user name and password. That will create a new keychain for you.
If you still have problems accessing sites, go to Safari / Preferences then select the Security tab. Click: Show Cookies. Delete all cookies or just the one's for the problematic sites. Now try logging into a site again.
Even though you upgraded to v10.6.7 make sure Safari is up to date. From the menu bar click Safari / About Safari. If it's a version prior to 5.0.5, click your Apple menu (top left in your screen) then click: Software Update...
And check Safari / Preferences - Extensions. Something there may be preventing you from accessing secure sites. If you have any extensions installed,  turn that off, quit then relaunch Safari to test.

  • Wireless carrier connection issues

I've been unable to connect to my wireless carrier...can only get online via WiFi.  I went into settings and see it says "no sim" in the ICCID field.  Should there be a SIM in my iPad?  If so, could this be my connection problem?

Yes, the cellular connection requires a sim as that is what holds the information for your account with your carrier.
If you've never inserted a sim or did not setup the iPad with a wireless carrier, you'll need to do so to get a sim.
Otherwise there should be a sim inside which may have moved and lost connection, or simply failed as is known to happen.
You can open the sim card tray with the provided tool, and see if its there. If it is there, and reseating it on the tray and closing the tray again does not bring the cellular connection back you may need to contact your carrier to get a new sim.

  • E71 Wireless internet connection issue

I would be appreciated if someone could assist me with the following problem:
When I try to connect to internet through my home wireless router, phone relalizes it but when I try to go to a website, it says the following:
"Unable to connect, invalid WPA pre-shared key"
    What does this mean?
    Thanks,
    Edwin

Hi I had this problem with my E51.  I bought the phone and the first WLAN I tried to connect it to, fooling around, was in a public place, turned out to be password protected, I didn't want to pay so I bailed and didn't connect.
The next time was in my guest house where I had already connected my PC so I figured it would be a no-brainer - as it was with my PC.
Well. Not so.  I kept thinking - is the WPA pre-auth key something different from what Vista wanted? Or what???
Then eventually I googled "invalid WPA pre-authorized key" in Nokia support.  Blah blah blah but no solutions.
Out of desperation I dug down into all the settings menus I could find and eventually blundered into
Menu > Tools > Settings > Connection > Access points
which had squirrelled away an access point for each time I had ever tried to connect!
Well that can't be good I thought, and I deleted them all - which took a while.
Then I tried to connect again and voila I got the browser up and running!
I think that's what did it, but, I did change some other stuff that may have had something to do with it - who knows.
    I changed a browser setting:
    Menu > Web > Options > Settings > Genera > Access point
    to "Always ask"
    And I changed:
    Menu > Tools > Settings > Connection >  Wireless LAN > Options > Advanced Settings > Yes > Power saving >
    to 'Disabled'.
Good luck - I will be interested to hear if this helps you or, if you try it and it doesn't.

Why all of a sudden after 3 months of owning a time capsule and over a year of using an AirDisk is my itunes skipping and constantly locking up/freezing?
im no more than 15 feet away in a different room playing my music, i bring both comptuers back into the network room and it works for the most part fine but anywhere else is acting up.
this never occurred and came out of nowhere, every 5 seconds it stalls for anywhere for a second toa minute.
ive reset, restored and recycled the time capsule...but the internet connection stays solid and fine.
its just iTunes is acting weird.
nothing has been added or removed from the network or time capsule or the rooms surrounding it and thereis no other network interference as everything else is solid.
ive booted from old back ups and installed newer version of itunes sam ething, this just happened this morning.

  • WRT54GX(4) - Wireless Internet Connectivity Issues

I am having a problem with two Linksys wireless routers. One is a WRT54GX (SRX100) and the other is a WRT54GX4 (SRX400). the WRT54GX is the primary router for my home network and is connected to my cable modem.
I have a couple of computers on a wired network connected to this router that never have any problem connecting to one another or to the Internet. I also use the WRT54GX for wireless connectivity for the downstairs and west side of my home. The WRT54GX4 is hardwired to the WRT54GX and provides wireless connectivity in the master bedroom upstairs on the west side of my home. The signal from the WRT54GX downstairs router is too weak in the master bedroom due to copper plumbing for two bathrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs) and the kitchen that are between the master bedroom and the WRT54GX on the opposite end of the house.
Sometimes, both wireless routers work fabulously and wireless connectivity is seamless throughout the house for my kids desktop system, which has a Linksys Wireless-G PCI card, and two laptops, all of which have integrated Intel Pro Wireless adapters.
For a third laptop, I have been using a Linksys SRX CardBus wireless adapter to connect at higher speeds. This is due to the volume of data -- financial records, images, etc., that I typically access from this laptop.
Finally, the two routers have different SSIDs and operate on different channels in the 2.4GHz range. All of my wirelessly-connected systems can see both routers and all are configured to connect to either network automatically using WPA2 encryption with a pre-shared key.
On occasion, one or both of the routers will act strangely. There are a couple of different scenarios.
    1. Sometimes, I can connect wirelessly to one of the routers, but I can't get an IP address. My DHCP server is on a server that it is on the wired network downstairs. Of course, without an IP address, I can't do anything on the network, never mind accessing the Internet. In some cases, I can switch to the other wireless router and everything functions normally. Other times, neither router will provide an IP address.
    2. Other times, I can connect wirelessly to one of the routers, get an IP address and then access resources on the local wired and wireless networks. However, I won't be able to get to anything on the Internet.
These symptoms do not apply to the systems on my wired neetwork and this has never happened using my LinkSys SRX wireless card on the one laptop. However, the Linksys Wireless-G PCI card in my kid's desktop system and the Intel Pro wireless on the other two laptops do fall victim to these problems.
Last week, we had a friend who worked from our house one day. He brought his laptop. He had no problems connecting wirelessly to our home network or accessing the Internet. He worked all day connected to his office network using a VPN connection. That same day, my wife's laptop could wirelessly connect to the home network. but could not access the Internet. Within a day or 2, neither her laptop nor my work laptop could connect to our wirless network and get an IP address through either of our wireless routers.
I upgraded the firmware on my WRT54GX to the latest firmware and rebooted it. We have also rebooted the laptops several times. Finally, last night, I restored connectivity to our home network through the WRT54GX. However, we still did not have access to the Internet and we could not connect to the WRT54GX4. I haven't the slightest clue how I did it.
This morning, on a hunch, I asked her to try the Linksys SRX CardBus adapter in her laptop. She called me just after lunch to tell me that she was now connected to the Internet -- through the WRT54GX!
This whole situation has me frustrated and it's consuming massive amounts of time. I sure would love to understand what I'm doing incorrectly.
And, please, don't tell me to go buy a new Wireless-N Router and Wireless-N cards for the laptops. I don't have $500 to spare at the moment.
    Thanks!

    jam7ra,
Please let me know how the beta firmware works for you. If it seems to help, send me a private message and we'll connect offlist so you can forward the firmware to me, if you don't mind.
At the moment, my setup is working well enough that I'm not going to mess with it any more -- until I have another problem.
In the big picture, howver, I am seriously considering moving to a new Wireless-N router and notebooke cards and installing third-party firmware. I'm hearing some good things about that combination that interests me.
Deep down, I really wish that Linksys had made the SRX models upgradable to Wireless-N with a firmware update. Of course, then they can't get another $200 for new hardware. Marketing, I guess.
    Thanks.
