Tactic3D Rage not charging

Hi
I bought the tactic3d rage wireless headset 5 months ago from amazon. Over the last week or so I have started having problems charging this.
I have tried using multiple cables and various usb ports on my PC as well as a direct charger plugged into the wall.
The headset will react when i connect/disconnect the cable by flashing the cup lights and occasionally i will notice that cup lights will glow a very dim blue when connected to a power source but the power light often will not blink and when it does it will only do it for short periods of time then stop.
The control pannel software will show ether the red low battery icon or a battery with a "plug" (which i cant not find in your documentation)
When the headset is turned on it will last 1 or 2 mins at most before turning off. I am finding this increasingly frustrating due to the relatively short time i have owned this device.

*****EDIT*****
Problem solved. my fones would not charge because they arrived fully charged ;-D

  • Tactic3D Rage Wireless Constantly Turns Off while Charging

I got the Tactic3D Rage Wireless a couple of years ago and it has had many problems from the time I received it. I eventually got the others fixed, or mostly fixed, but this one has been annoying me increasingly in the past few months.
The headset not only rapidly connects and disconnects with Windows 8 (I think it is a problem with windows and not the headset for this one), but it also turns off the second I turn it on while charging. This makes the headset completely useless when I am charging it. This would not be as bad, but now the headset will not actually charge when it is on its charger. After it "charges" for a few hours, I take it off of the charger and I immediately begin to hear the beeping, notifying me that the headset is low on battery.
I finally made an account on these forums after a couple of days failing at searching for this problem with others so now I am posting this. Help is greatly needed for I don't want to be forced to spend more money on another headset if I can get this one fixed. Please reply with any questions I have not answered, and have a good day.

    Hi Logo594
You may want to refer to this article, specifically the last paragraph of the article regarding charging.
    http://support.creative.com/kb/ShowA...spx?sid=111092
You also mentioned that this headset is at least a couple of years old, so it is possible that the battery
does not hold its charge well. If this still does not work, You may contact Support here.

  • Tactic3d rage wirelss broken

well i havent even had the headset for a week now and already i have had two problems, first time the problem was with the firmware update (stuck the headset in an "on" position had to drain battery to turn it off and start again).
Now my problem is (i have seen this has happened to more than one person) the headset works fine if its plugged in to usb but the battery just refuses to charge and without being plugged in the headset will NOT work atall, really? its called wireless for a reason creative !! ive tried everything ive looked at the other posts and tried solutians that moderators have posted on there, ive also emailed support and had no reply.... i think its time creative replace my headset, because as i said this isn't the first time this has ever happened its clearly faulty manufacturing and should be replaced by creative!!
if there is any WORKING solution (ive tried leaving the headset over night charging via usb and also via usb adapter for mains socket) then please let me now, but for now consider me a very angry customer.

    Hi Idazza,
Any chance you have the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Control Panel installed on your PC?
When you charge your headset via your PC, there should be a battery indicator on your control panel to show if your device is being charged or not, you may refer to the KB Article I have posted (post #6) from this forum thread (link below):
    http://forums.creative.com/showthrea...=tactic3d+rage
Also, can you PM me the email address you used to contact Creative's email support?
    Cheers!

  • Tactic3D Rage issues

Hello everyone, and thank you for viewing this thread.
I'm currently having some issues with my Wireless Tactic3D Rage Headset. I went to turn them off like I always have for the past year, and last night they decided to just start making a humming noise. The humming noise, I thought meant that they lost connection with the fob in the back of the computer. However after opening the control panel, I noticed that it read the battery levels just fine. I just can't seem to get it to cycle the power.
I've owned the headset since Dec 2012, and the only real issue I've had is the cheap plastic retainers that hold the earpieces to the head band broke. A little duct tape and they still worked fine. So, I tried to update the software last night after they wouldn't turn off, and that didn't work either. I usually charge them off the PC, or AC to USB adapter. Been charging them like that since day one without issue.
So any insight would be helpful, as I have a raid I have to attend tonight.
    Thanks!
Just an update, I got the headset to discharge, so I'll test them when I get home tonite.
Update 2: Ok, so I had them charging all day on my computer, and now they work good again! So sorry for any trouble, but I also hope this helps someone in the future. Now where did I put that duct tape...
    The steps I took were:
    1. Leave them on until they died (discharged)
    2. Connect them to my PC to charge in the OFF position
    3. Disconnect them before turning them ON.
    4. Turn them on.
Seems to work fine now. Thanks!

    Hello Colin,
Thank for your reply. Yes,I wrote to support before I created this thread, but I felt (and I'm still feel) really bad, especially I'm a software developer and I can't imagine how it's possible to give soft/firmware to end users which doesn't work properly. Or even if you do that and many ppl complain about exactly the same problem, the serious company should remove soft/firmware that can make really issues and they should work on fixing that bug and upgrading application for users to avoid future problems

  • Cant hear any audio from Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless headset

after getting the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless headset i red through the booklet inside and saw that i could download software for it so i went to the address it gave me and downloaded the firmware for windows and after it was finished and i had restarted my computer the headset and USb connector would both flash nonstop. as well as this i cant hear any audio from the headset. help me if you can

  • Soundblaster tactic3D rage wireless problems

Hello so today i got this new headset Soundblaster tactic3D rage wireless, and after charging for 8 hours i plugged the power cable out, and inserted the usb adapter.
Everything worked fine, the sound was good. i then decided to go and download the drivers etc.
Then i tryed to install the firmware update, and i got an error where it said that it failed.
After that, my headset was completely dead, its constantly glowing red, i cant pair it with the usb adaptar, and i have tryed everything. Cant turn the headset off at all.
I have lookd around these forums but didnt really find any good answers on how i could fix this.

apparently you need to get it replaced, as the failed firmware bricked it. Only answer I found out so far. That or maybe getting a kind soul with the previous firmware to give it to you might get it working again.

  • Creative Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless crackling sound

Tactic3D Rage Wireless crackling sound all the time when playing any sound on the headset.
Work OK on laptop and other PC in the home. Just not my PC lol. Motherboard: Zotac H55-ITX Wifi. CPU Intel i3.

    Pauleley,
    Welcome to the forum!
Sounds like an "interference" issue to me. Definitely not an issue with the headset as it is working perfectly fine on another machine. The transmitter operates in the 2.4Ghz frequency spectrum so you might want to check out what other devices runs on the same spectrum near to your computer (just a thought).

  • Tactic3D Rage USB [WITH] 3.5MM Audio/Mic Splitter

I'm wondering if the 3.5MM 4-pole audio cable can split back to legacy Mic/Headphone jacks
    using the Audio/Mic Splitter
    Link: http://us.creative.com/p/gaming-head...litter-adapter
with the Tactic3D Rage USB Headset
    http://us.creative.com/p/gaming-head...tic3d-rage-usb
I do not see it listed in the compatibility list,
and I was wonder why it works with Fury, but not Rage.
or if does, and if not. why it doesn't
Thanks for any replies, really appreciate it.

The Microphone does not work very good with 3.5MM,
I had to boost the mic & Level both to 100%, and still it's not good.
Sound was only coming from left speaker from the mic.

  • Ipod 1st generation not charging

    Hi,
I've an ipod shuffle (1st generation) that is not charging, the shuffle is seen by my system and I was able to update it 1.1.4 firmware version today( I also restored it), but when the shuffle is connected to the high-power USB port it lights with the amber light to indicate that it's charging. However it never turns green and on removing it after >4hrs there is no activity from it and the battery indicator light does not light. It is out of warranty now so I was thinking of replacing the battery myself, however the fact that it's not charging at all would give me doubts that it may not be the battery and might be related to the circuit board.
    Anybody seen this symptom before?
    Paddy

    - Try another cable.
    - Try another charging source
    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.

  • IPhone 3GS no longer recognized in iTunes and does not charge via wall

I upgraded my iMac to iTunes 9.2 when it came out.
My wife then upgraded her iPhone 3GS to iOS4.
Since then it is not recognized in iTunes and does not charge via the wall adapter.
I realize this topic crosses over with several ongoing discussions, but there are no 3rd party peripherals involved here.
The only major changes to our set up have been the itunes and iOS upgrades.
The battery is running down, any ideas to fix this, or other similar experiences welcome.

Went to the Apple store and they replaced the cable.

  • Hi everybody, my Macbook air mid 2012 MD 231 suddenly shut down then i can not turn it on. I heard a sound like a fuse is blown or something like that. Did any system break or burnt? I did not charge at that moment. Plz help

my Macbook air mid 2012 suddenly turn off after a strange sound (like the sound òf a fuse has blown or something like that) and I also feel a burnt smell too while i am watching a film on the internet and did not charge the laptop at this moment. The sound was from the left of it, and now just a dark screen , even I tried charging it (still has green light at the charge tool). I bought it on 13st April 2013, not often use.
I love apple and i am so sad that a new product which i seldom use could be break so easily and outstanding. It's so late in my country now but i am too disappoint about the trouble so i am writing with hope of supporting from Apple and the community.
    Please help , thank bro

You will have to take it to an Apple Store for repair.

  • Battery heating up, now it is Not Charging

For a while I have had the issue of my macbook becoming very warm when charging, or in use. And it would often say not charging, then i would have to remove and insert the charger a few times before it would work.
Now it is not charging at all, and the battery is at 0%.

If the heat is coming from the battery itself, you probably need a new one. If you're near an Apple Store or third-party service depot, they have a diagnostic they can run to determine if your battery has failed and needs to be replaced. Depending on your model, the battery may be something you can swap out, or would need to be done with a special tool.

  • Venue 8 Pro not charging?

I have not used this tablet a lot for the first couple of months I had it, then it was not used for 4 months I enjoyed it but mainly wanted it for travel. I used it for month while traveling in October it worked fine and put it up since then I got it out and put it on charge the same cord and charger that came with it and has worked in past. The white light will come on but after say ten mins goes off and the tablet is warm on the back, it has not charged if I try to reset by holding the buttons down I only get a couple flashes of Amber light. And when I plug the charger in no lights come on. Then if I wait like an hour and plug charger back in the white light comes on and again only stays on 10 mins or so and warms up the back. The warranty period is over as of 4-2, any thoughts, bad battery due to letting sit and battery going dead for so long? Tried three different cords but only have the one dell charger.

Dell supplied the wrong charging cable. The port is rectangular and the plug is trapezoidal so it can be plugged in either way, and if you plug it in wrong, you can bend or break the pin block. I handed mine to my wife to see which way she'd try to connect the cable and she immediately tried plugging it in upside down. This is a serious design flaw and Dell needs to recall them all and replace the connector. There's no way in this day and age of computing that it should be possible to plug in a connector upside down like this and then destroy the device. It's only a matter of time before every one of these Dell Venue Pro 8 units is damaged because of this issue. Dell screwed up the design and customers are paying for the mistake. This is 100% Dell's fault. They need to make it right.

  • Magsafe Charger not charging - when it lights up may not work

I started experiencing this a few weeks ago. Since then I have gone through 2 adapters.
The magnet works and everything, but it doesnt light up, and where that battery is up there it doesn't show any signs of recognition.
I have to wiggle it a little bit and apply some pressure to get it working.
Even then, it still sometimes doesn't work. It'll be green and say "Not Charging".
It doesn't always do that though. Sometimes it will charge. I have a new battery (from around christmas time) so it cant be the battery... i wouldn't think anyways.
Another thing, is when I get it charging, I have to lay it perfectly still. One little tiny bump or something will cause the light to go off and stop charging. I've cleaned the magsafe part and the part it lpugs into the computer. I have the same problem.

I had the same pin problem as many here. My neutral pin (outer most) stop pushing out, I can turn the plug upside down and the pin falls into place. Take a bit of wiggling to get it to charge the computer. This is a new magsafe, only 4 weeks old. I had to have my other one replaced because the exact same pin did the exact same thing again.
