Tactic3D Sigma Mic on Win7 64

Up until now I have been 00% satisfied with my Sigmas. Until after a restart, my microphone has simply stopped working on my main computer. I have checked the mic ports with other headsets and they are fine, I have tried the usb adapter on all usb slots. Tried every mic/headset port on my computer (and my keyboard) and to no avail my mic will still not work on my Windows 7 x64 computer.
Heres the kicker though, it works fine on my fiances old XP laptop. Not a hitch at all, any ideas?
EDIT: I have also tried it with/without the Sound Software. It worked with it before, and worked without it aswell after a reformat little over a month ago.

  • Microphone not working on Tactic3D Sigma

Hi guys, I have a weird problem here with a new Sound Blaster Tactic3D Sigma.
I've installed the newest drivers, restarted system and microphone doesn't record any sound.
I have tried to update firmware with the latest beta firmware and plugged in all available USB ports, but still haven't success.
Doesn't seems to be a problem with the mic itself, but some kind of problem with the headset in or a driver issue, because when I put the mic directly into P2 in it records sound normally.
    I'm using Windows 7 64 bit.
    Can you help me?
    Thanks

  • Tactic3D Sigma + X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty ?

    Hello friends,
I have a PCI-E X-Fi Titanium Fatalty sound card and I'm thinking in get a good headphone to play during midnight.
I know Titanium features in Game Mode the CMSS-3D effect which offer a great improvment in games with any kind of headphone.
On the other hand, Tactic3D Sigma offers THX TruStudio Pro Surround, that also delivers a 3D simulation effect in games.
    so...
Is it worth buying Sigma if I can get a 3D effect with my soundcard? Sigma still good using jack output?
    THX TruStudio Pro Surround >>> CMSS-3D ?
    Thanks.

    Thank you for answering,
I can use the mini jacks but not the features I bought the headset for? The mini jack functioning of this headset seem no better than any $25 headset . . . and I have spent years plugged in in recording studios.
So the features of this headset are not available if I am using your High-end soundcard?!?!?!?!? How is this possible?!?!?!? And why does the box not say this?? Now that I have spent hundreds of dollars on your soundcard and nearly another $00 on your headphones I am just out of luck!!!??
I think this needs a website of its own. What am I to do with this useless waste of money at this point?
So, please, tell me what I am to do?
And please send me contact information for the marketing product leads for both of these products!

Please note that when in USB connection, USB devices such as your SB Tactic3D Sigma Headset will create its own USB Audio Device and it will bypass the onboard sound card and the X-fi Titanium card.
Make sure that the headset is properly detected in Device Manager and selected as the default playback and recording device.
When using the mini-jack, please ensure that the X-fi Titanium card is selected as the default playback and recording device.

  • Tactic3D Sigma for PS3

    Hi there,
I am looking to purchase the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Sigma headset for use on my PS3. I understand that out of the box, it is not configured to work on the PS3 but I was researching and I remember reading somewhere I can use it with the use of some type of adapter. Unfortunately, I cannot find that website again and so, I am writing to ask which adapter I need to have the headset function on my PS3.
Also, will this adapter give me full functionality (Surround sound, in-game sound as well as the microphone working (for in particular, Call of Duty)).
    Thanks

  • Yet another dead mic with Win7 64-bit upgrd - Portege M700

Title says it all.  Mics used to work fine on this machine under Windows XP. Under Win7, except as I note below, the mic has inaudibly low volume with any Control Panel Sound settings. I've spent huge amounts of time trying to solve this. After seeing all the similar posts (with no solutions, it seems) from users of many different Toshiba laptops, I'm about to start spreading the meme across the Internet that Toshiba laptops can't use mics.
I started by upgrading to Win7 then adding just the 64-bit drivers I need from Toshiba's support site. No joy.  Then I started from a clean Win7 upgrade (64-bit Home) using Toshiba's upgrade script.  Nope.  Installed latest generic drivers from Realtek.  Hmm .. some progress, maybe: now with some Sound settings I can get slightly more volume but the mic input is drowned out by white noise-ish hissing.  All right, disable any other sound sources I can adjust: disable Chicony webcam driver from Device Manager. Hmm, now mike volume can get fairly high but the hissing still drowns it out.
Toshiba: At some level, this is a problem between Microsoft and Realtek, I know. But you can help us.  MS changed the audio model significantly since Win XP, including (god knows why!) giving up the little audio mixer app that used to let you adjust levels for different sound sources.  And Realtek's generic driver doesn't provide one either.  So just give us a way to adjust levels for different audio inputs!  Maybe I haven't Googled sufficiently and some hacker out there has one, but I kinda doubt it ... if it requires driver-level access as I suspect, Microsoft's new DRM-motivated hammerlock limiting us to signed drivers prevents us from fixing this ourselves.  (It also means we can't access our ext3 partitions without extreme measures, but that's another rant.)  So CAN SOME TOSHIBA ENGINEER PLEASE LET MANAGEMENT KNOW THEY'RE ABOUT TO DESTROY THEIR LAPTOP FRANCHISE OVER AUDIO ISSUES?  Just cut, paste, and forward a couple dozen of these threads.  Sure, it's a career risk but (wo)man up to it!  Audio really matters to laptop buyers nowadays ... without Skype, I'll have do carry Yet Another Device when I'm traveling.  Heck, I've personally bought at least 6 Toshiba laptops over the years and I'm starting to shop for a replacement.  Anything but Toshiba, I'm sorry to say :-(
Oh, in case somebody has an idea of something else I can try, the specific model is PPM70U-1KC01DB

  • Creative SoundBlaster Tactic3D Sigma

I bought this headset to use it with my ipod, some gaming with my computer and because of the usb feature that, i thought that it would be able to be used with my ps3. Its a good headset, i`m not an expert but i can see the sound is good. But my problem is that its not working well with my ps3, any sollution? Im looking forward to answers. Thanks.

I have exactly the same problem. Missing a function like "Stereomix" (Whatyouhear).
Are there ANY plans or is it even possible to add a function like "Stereomix"?
I'm kinda surprised that Creative didn't answer yet.
    Best regards.
EDIT: Found this link, provided by a Forumadministrator:
I lol'ed. (Only available in english)
A company, which is only selling audiodevices, doesn't provide such a rudimentary function.

  • Tactic3D Sigma USB AudioCard

    Hello!
I bought this headset today, I installed everything in the right order, but I have a very big problem!
The headset works fine, but if I plug it in the USB device it starts cracking when someone talks(even in movies, youtube, skype etc-etc, and they said my noise was cracking too) it's happening with every device what I pluged in it. In windows the device manager says that I have a 2011.03.21 dated driver (1.0.45.0 ) and it is weird because I installed the latest firmware wich is dated at 2012.04.26! I tried to reinstall the firmware but it didn't helped me! I'm using windows 7 if it's helping you to find me a solution!
ps.: when I'm listening to music or playing games the ingame sound is fine

I tried to plug it in an other usb port but it didn't make a difference, but I noticed in an app that if I click and drag the mouse(or the touchpad) it do the same, so I pluged in an usb hub, wich makes a difference, cause it makes the sound quieter, so I think it is some sort of interference. I can't try it on other devices at the moment, but I don't realy think it make any difference(because my family only have notebooks) and anyway I want to use it in this device.

  • Sound Blaster Sigma config

    Hi all....
I have a simple, and probably stupid, question.....
I bought a Sound Blaster Sigma headset some days ago and still have a sound blaster X-Fi Extreme Music sound card.....
To have the better 360° 3D audio, have I to use the X-Fi sound card or the USB sound card that comes with the headphones? Which is better (not only in terms of audio quality, but specifically for 3D gaming audio)?
Hope that the X-Fi is good too......hope it's better also....
    Sorry for my english....
Thx in advice for the answers....

  • Tactic 3d Sigma static..

When the speakers in my slightly-over-a-year-old ABS FX-7 headset mysteriously blew, and realizing they don't sell them anymore, I started searching for a new 'virtual surround' headset. I spent about 2 days researching and reading reviews and ended up going with the Creative Tactic3d Sigma from Amazon. I got it today, and after installing the drivers, I am noticing that there is some clear static/white noise or rattle going on for softer, quieter sounds. It's also audible while people are talking and can still be heard once they stop talking, it just slowly fades. I can't really notice it when listening to music but for anything else it is very noticeable. It gets inreasingly worse as anything in the THX menu gets turned up. It really messes up the sound clarity and is definitely not something I would expect from a $75 headset. My ABS set sounded amazing and was just as good if not better than this Creative set, and it was only $30. I've already contacted Creative about the issue to see if there's something wrong with the headset, and want to know if any of you have experienced similar issue. I have already tried using it in a different USB port and on a different computer and it's all the same. On Win 7 64 and 32 bit OS's.
On a side note, the sounds that the headset produces seem to cancel themselves out, I know it's just two speakers, but when playing rock music, with the bass turned up, the bass drums create a kind of 'muting' sound for everything else as if the speakers aren't able to play all of the sounds at once, and the bass also doesn't seem all that crisp. Feels pretty muddy compared to my old unit and doesn't exactly have a 'hit' to it like I'm used to, anyone else have that issue? I have noticed a few similar things happening in Bad Company 2, where for instance, the beeping noise of the comm station bomb would skip because of the sounds occuring.
Kinda bummmed. If it turns out this is just how they are I will probably end up returning them to Amazon and going with a different unit.

    Hi,

  • Sigmas no longer producing 3D sound

Got myself a Tactic3D Sigma about a week ago, and then they worked great at producing a 3D effect. Now everything is kind of mono.
Using this video to test them out, they produced a chilling effect of someone actually walking around the room shaking a box of matches. They even produced the effect above and below me.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fligG_SLnOc
Now the effect is gone. It just sounds like a guy standing still, shaking a box of matches in front of my face.

Alright, i'm getting an error that says
"Windows has detected that audio enhancments for the following device are causing problems
    Headset (Sound Blaster Tactic(3D) Sigma)"
Also, for no apparent reason they started working fine the other day for like an hour and then eventually went back to mono.
I installed the package you linked to, and now not only is it mono, but it sounds like i'm listening to everything through a tin can. It did get rid of the error message though.

Please,  run the DirectX diagnostics tool (32-bit mode).
Go to Windows Start and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. Run this diagnostics and save the results to a file. Please, attach this file to your post.
