Tactic3D Sigma + X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty ?

Hello friends,
I have a PCI-E X-Fi Titanium Fatalty sound card and I'm thinking in get a good headphone to play during midnight.
I know Titanium features in Game Mode the CMSS-3D effect which offer a great improvment in games with any kind of headphone.
On the other hand, Tactic3D Sigma offers THX TruStudio Pro Surround, that also delivers a 3D simulation effect in games.
so...
Is it worth buying Sigma if I can get a 3D effect with my soundcard? Sigma still good using jack output?
THX TruStudio Pro Surround >>> CMSS-3D ?
Thanks.

The following is the responses I have received from Creative customer support regarding the THX controller software NOT working (the controller software just hangs) with my X-fi Platinum. I am very confused by the contradicting responses help please!
Detailed Problem Description:
Ok I have installed the Alpha/Sigma software and the cotrol panel just hangs when it opens. I uninstalled, reinstalled in safe mode, restarted, ran update with the same results . . . WTF these are sold as high-eng! I have been in tech support, I am a Intel Product Dealer, and a MS System builder for years. Windows 7 prem 64, Creative SB X-FI Titanium . . . seems like the head set should work with this. Please help...
Thank you for contacting Creative Technical Support.
Are you connecting the headset thru the 3.5mm plug or USB connection?
If using the USB headset connection, please note that you won't be able to use it with the X-fi Titanium soundcard.

Thank you for answering,
I can use the mini jacks but not the features I bought the headset for? The mini jack functioning of this headset seem no better than any $25 headset . . . and I have spent years plugged in in recording studios.
So the features of this headset are not available if I am using your High-end soundcard?!?!?!?!? How is this possible?!?!?!? And why does the box not say this?? Now that I have spent hundreds of dollars on your soundcard and nearly another $00 on your headphones I am just out of luck!!!??
I think this needs a website of its own. What am I to do with this useless waste of money at this point?
So, please, tell me what I am to do?
And please send me contact information for the marketing product leads for both of these products!
Awaiting a reasonable answer,
Thank you for writing to Creative Technical Support.
Please note that when in USB connection, USB devices such as your SB Tactic3D Sigma Headset will create its own USB Audio Device and it will bypass the onboard sound card and the X-fi Titanium card.
Make sure that the headset is properly detected in Device Manager and selected as the default playback and recording device.
When using the mini-jack, please ensure that the X-fi Titanium card is selected as the default playback and recording device.
Thank you for your patience and understanding on this matter.

  • Microphone not working on Tactic3D Sigma

Hi guys, I have a weird problem here with a new Sound Blaster Tactic3D Sigma.
I've installed the newest drivers, restarted system and microphone doesn't record any sound.
I have tried to update firmware with the latest beta firmware and plugged in all available USB ports, but still haven't success.
Doesn't seems to be a problem with the mic itself, but some kind of problem with the headset in or a driver issue, because when I put the mic directly into P2 in it records sound normally.
    I'm using Windows 7 64 bit.
    Can you help me?
    Thanks

    AVL,
You might want to write to our Customer Support for assistance but note that you may still need to contact the seller if it's a hardware failure.

  • Tactic3D Sigma for PS3

    Hi there,
I am looking to purchase the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Sigma headset for use on my PS3. I understand that out of the box, it is not configured to work on the PS3 but I was researching and I remember reading somewhere I can use it with the use of some type of adapter. Unfortunately, I cannot find that website again and so, I am writing to ask which adapter I need to have the headset function on my PS3.
Also, will this adapter give me full functionality (Surround sound, in-game sound as well as the microphone working (for in particular, Call of Duty)).
    Thanks

  • MSI x58 PRO-E SLI+Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro

Im thinking of buying a Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro for some better sound, problem is that I cant see if this is gonna fit in the top PCI-E slot because of the cooling block there.
Does anyone know if this will fit or not?
here is a pic of my current setup:
    http://twitpic.com/1zvxnz

You asked if it would fit the other slot and I said it would, if the heatsink does in fact prevent you from using that slot then you can use any other available PCIe slot. A 1x PCIe card will work in any PCIe slot no matter what size the slot is.
I took a look at the pictures shot from an angle at MSI website and it does look as if it may not fit there. I also noticed that on the 1156 MB that the same HS on them have very short fins in line with that slot, makes me wonder why the 1366 MB HS is not like that.
I assume you don't have or can't borrow a card from family or friend to just test for fit in that slot?

  • Titanium Fatal1ty digital sound encoder issues

So, I've had this Titanium Fatal1ty pro soundcard for a few years and it has always given me trouble. Simply, a few years back when I initially installed it, I had fought with achieving full DTS or Dolby digital mode, or anything greater (in signal quality) than PCM (analog mode). I eventually figured it out a few years back after repeated uninstalls, different driver versions. Problem is, I recently reinstalled my OS and now I can't get my sound card fully functioning.
So I can't get the DTS or Dolby digital indicators to light up on my reciever. I've sought the help creative offers by adjusting my sampling rate lower. Nothing. I've verified my on-board sound was disabled thru bios. I simply cannot get any digital sound flowing through my optical port. Weirdest of all, in Console launcher or creative Control panel if I cleck on the tab marked "encoder" I get the BSOD. Never fails; everytime.
I'm wondering if my encoder on the actual sound card is going bad. Then again, I've gotten BSOD screens lately even doing things unrelated to sound, especially while using Google Chrome. I'm wondering if my RAM going bad would affect the performance of my sound card.
Any ideas would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

    Hi Aboisis,
You will need to contact support to enquire about that.

  • Titanium Fatal1ty Pro product numbers?

I've discovered this, and I am honestly quite confused.
On Creative's official store, the Titanium Fatal1ty Pro has the SKU 70SB088600002 . Looking at my own local stores, I see a very similar code (70SB088600000), where the only difference is the last digit being 0 instead of 2. That's not all though. Some retailers also have the quite different code of 30SB088600000 . That's three SKUs, apparently for the same product. Nothing indicates that either is the champion edition (the package including a front bay). Do these differ somehow?

You can use the product page on the online store as a reference to make sure that you are not missing anything. If you are buying from an online reseller, you might want to sure they are authorised & trustworthy retailers.

  • Gigaworks S750 cables for the X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro Card?

    Hey guys,
I got a nice Gigaworks S750 7.1 speaker system and want to use it with my new X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro card. The Fatal1ty pro has analog outputs for a 7.1 sound system, but the Gigaworks doesn't have the same layout. Can anyone help me find the cables I need to get this setup running?

    Hi,
There are 4 Line Outs on the X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro card.
Line Out 1 jack - Connects to the Front Left and Front Right inputs
Line Out 2 jack - Connects to the Side Left and Side Right inputs
Line Out 3 jack - Connects to the Front Center and Subwoofer inputs
Line Out 4 jack - Connects to the Rear Left and Rear Right inputs
You might want to refer to the user manual of the sound card and speakers system for more information.
You can still utilize the suppiled 7.1 cable. Just leave out the grey connector (side speakers) and use a single 3.5mm cable to hook up both ends.

  • Titanium Fatal1ty Pro SPDIF game problem

(Titanium Fatalty Pro SPDIF game problem hi all,
sorry if this issue reported in the past i but i could not get any answer on any relati've posts, the terminology was so complicated
i buy?a new pc with a Titanium Fatalty Pro sound card, i use Vista sp2 x64, the sound card is connected to my external amplifier with SPDIF out in order to get surround sound for my movies and my games and here is my problem
any movies format with surround sound play perfect with out any problem any kind of movie DVD, dvix, mkv?files?etc
but non of the games i play?use the surround system, why is that? is any?kind of special settings needed to be done? how is possible to get surround to movies and not to the games?
thanks you all for your time ?

,Re: Titanium Fatalty Pro SPDIF game problem? this is really coincidence - I just posted on the very same topic 5 minutes ago.
for games just go to the Console Entertainment mode > Encoder > Dolby Digital. Although this is not documented I believe what happens is that the sound card encodes the 6 digital channels onto Dolby Digital mode and transfers this over SPDIF. Kok-Choy actually recommend using the standard analogue cables (and he has a point as you are actually upcoding an existing game signal onto Dolby so that your digital receiver can then decode this down to 6 channels - seems a pretty useless overhead)
for video - I am curious to know what you do - I can either get 96/24 bits on the display of my z5500 with a direct signal but the z5500 receiver then tells me that this signal is only in dolby ProLogic II (and not DD or DTS). As alternati've I use again the encoder and have to select for EACH FILM WHAT IS BEST DOLBY DIGITAL OR DTS. Pls explain what settings you use.
    thanks

  • X-fi X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion Profile switching?

    Hey outthere,
I use a X-fi Extreme Music and want to buy the Tatalty Champion. I have the following question.
For gaming I use the standard 3.5mm Jacks for Soundoutput an when I am watching movies or TV I use optical SPDIF output for Dolby Digital Sound.
Everytime I change between gaming and watching I have to change the Sound profile of Windows 7. So I have to go to Sound? and change the Output device.
The Fatalty Champion Card has 3 Buttons for Gaming mode and so on. Can I use these Buttons to change my Audio profile? So I can change instantly between analog Output and optical?

    @Zingel986,
The Dolby Digital Li've (DDL ) should be included with the X-Fi Titanium Fatalty Champion sound card. It is also sold seperately for X-Fi XtremeMusic sound cards too. Please visit buy.soundblaster.com for more details.
Note: I am assuming you have a retail X-Fi XtremeMusic, I am not sure if the DDL pack works with an OEM model.

  • Trying to use SPDIF BYPASS with X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty

I need help guys!! I've bought a Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatalty Pro PCI-E x a few days ago and everything is working great with the lastest drivers (even DTS Connect, Interacti've, DDL, etc... Everything is fine) but now i want to use the digital input to "bypass" the audio from my SKY HDTV (Home Theater Samsung X-70 digital input, hdmi input and hdmi output) and i've done everything and i can't hear anything... SKY HDTV - > X-FI Titanium Digital Input - > X-Fi Titanium Digital Output -> Samsung HT-X70
I have the SKY HDTV plugged into my Sound card via Toslink Digital Optical cable.
I had done some research online about needing to enable the decoder in the Creative Audio Control Panel, but I have no "Decoder" Tab. Also, there is a tab called SPDIF I/O when I select it, SPDIF input settings are grayed out and in the box is default (pre-selected).
Is there a fix to get a decoder for this sound card, or what should i do?

    Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.6Ghz

    Samsung 40" LCD LN40A550 - 920x080@60Hz
    Samsung HT X-70
    Windows 7 X64 RTM

OK Helsing, let me see if I understand you, If you want to decode DD and DTS, PowerDVD will do the trick, but so will VLCMedia player, etc. If you want to send a pure untouched signal through to your receiver so it can decode it and play it, then that is SPDIF passthrough. That means the signal will go through your system untouched and out to your receiver........and yes there is that setting for it in the SHARK codec package. Shark's package will also use FFDshow or whatever of its components to do the job of which you are speaking.....

  • X-FI Titanium Fatal1ty & Windows 7

    & Hi all,
I am using Build 7068 of Windows 7 X64 and the latest beta drivers Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Beta Driver 02.7.0006
For some reason the windows volume is reset to 00% each time I reboot. I dont know if this is a bug in the driver and/or win7.
Does anyone else have a similar setup or know of a work-around to make the volume stick?
    thanks in advance.

I'd use Daniel_K's support pack 2.0 (search this forum). If I remember right, there were issues with the default Creative installer for DDL/DTS in Windows 7, and his driver mod addressed it.

My question is shoul I only?need to connect the each speaker audio cable to the three Line-Out(green-Lineout6, black-Lineout3, orange-Lineout4) on the soundcard and my speaker system will?work fine? or?should I need to buy 4 new rca cables for this to get my speaker system working fine?.
    Thanks for every input guys.

If you are playing from a stereo source(only two channels, right and left) then you aren't going to have playback on all of your speakers, to have that you need to tell the console launcher to replicate the stereo signal to the rest of your speakers.

    Hi!
i have a strange problem: my Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatalty Champion Soundcard is not detected when I want to upgrade or download PowerDVD.
It shows up in the devices list as "SB X-FI" though - but this seems to be the incorrect name!?!?!
Also I can not set the SPDIF out options.
I can listen to MP3's via Winamp etc. But I can not set Dolby Digital vcia SPDIF with PowerDVD for example.
I am using the latest official drivers.
Some forums say it's a hardware problem and I should exchange the card. Is trhis true or can I change software settings?
