  • Custom tag cloud webpart based on keywords from a Term Set in the Term Store .

    Hi Guys
Does anyone have developed a custom Tag Cloud webpart in SharePoint 2010? I'm
looking for a custom Tag cloud based on keywords from a Term Set in the Term Store.
    Unfortunately
out of the box Tag Cloud Web Part only reference the Social Tags from the User.
in my case editors have created pages and tagged a page using terms from the Term store.
What I would like to see is a web part which could display “Top Keywords”, and the output is something like this:
    http://electronicdiscovery.info/what-additional-features-would-you-like-to-see-in-sharepoint-word-cloud-survey-electronic-discovery/
    Thanks In advance

  • Target Audience web part property is missing in sharepoint 2013

    Dear All,
The "Target Audience" web part property is missing in SharePoint 2013. But this was a feature in SharePoint 2007. Is there any other way of doing this in SharePoint 2013
    Thanks,
    Dilip

    Hi,
Here are the reasons & solutions for SharePoint 2010 audience targeting missing:
    1. Enable audience targeting in SharePoint 2010 Site Collection
Go to Site Actions >> Site Setting >> Click on "Site collection navigation" >> under Site Collection
Administration >> Make sure "Enable Audience targeting" is checked.
    2. Audience Targeting feature is depending on SharePoint Publishing feature. So, Go to Site Settings >>
Site collection features >> SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure” Activate publishing feature on your site collection.
    3. For Audience Targeting, We need "User Profile Service Application"! So make sure the user profile
service application is provisioned and running. Check the status of "User Profile Service" and "User Profile Synchronization Service" . Verify the UPSA is associated with your Web Application, by going to:
    Central Administration >> Application Management
Manage Web Applications >> Highlight Your Web Application
Service Connections >> Make sure User Profile Service Application is checked.
    Restart IIS!

  • Add Data driven subscription option missing in sharepoint 2013

i have a sharepoint 2013 enterprise version with sql server 2012 standard version. And i want to add Data- driven subscriptions for a document library by selecting manage subscriptions. But in the manage subscriptions Add Data- Driven subscription option
is missing. How can i get the options. is ther any workaround if  i am using standard version.

    Hi sppanda,
According to your description, you want to use data driven report subscription feature with SQL Server 2012 Standard.
In Reporting Services 2012, only SQL Server 2012 Enterprise and Business Intelligence edition support the data driven feature. So it’s expected that the Add Data- Driven subscription option is missing in your environment. In your scenario, if you want to
use data driven subscription feature, please perform edition upgrade.
    Reference:

Upgrade to a Different Edition of SQL Server 2012 (Setup)

    Hi,
I assume you are attempting to add this to a standard page layout and not a HTML Page Layout.
My suggestion is that you add your webpart to a standard content page in the browser first. Save the content page and check in / publishing a major version. Now open your site in SPD and navigate to the Pages library. Your content page should be listed.
Right click this content page and "Detach" the page from its page layout. You will receive a warning, ok that.
Once the content page has been detached from the page layout, open the content page in SPD and view the HTML source. Look for your custom webpart in the source. This is the tags / source that you need to add to your custom page layout. You can reattach this
content page to its page layout now if you wish.

  • Installing and deploying a .webpart file in SharePoint 2013

I have a webpart that took from a SharePoint 2010 web site from its webparts library. This webpart has the .webpart extension. I downloaded it as a copy. Now I want to install it to a SharePoint 2013 site ti its webpart gallery. I tried using Visual Studio
by opening the .webpart file and copy its XML to the new empty .webpart source code. Also I uploaded the .webpart file to the Sharepoint 2013 WebPart Library. That also not successful. There was an error regarding when I insert the webpart to a page with a
    Correlation ID.
The error is at the below.
Unable to display this web part. To troubleshoot the problem, open this web page in a Microsoft SharePoint Foundation compatible HTML editor such as ...........................
    Correlation ID: cb3b839c-b011-e0f5-999c-31292d78623c
Then how am I supposed to do this properly. I am new to Sharepoint.
Could someone please help me to solve this matter?
    Thank you,

What web part is it?  Is it a custom / third party one?
Also, more information on the .webpart structure might be handy -

  • Publish a document from Document Workspace back to source location - missing option in SharePoint 2013

We intend to use Document Workspaces for reviewing all our Policies & Procedures.
Once all the changes to the document have been made, I am trying to publish a document from a document workspace back to the source location but the 'Send to: Publish to Source Location' option is missing in SharePoint 2013.
So instead I try to use 'Send to: Other Location' and copy / paste the URL from the original document library but this produces an error.
Has anyone come across this and if yes, know of a workaround?
A prompt response would be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

Thank you so much for your prompt feedback and response.
Once I click on the file (from the Document Workspace) and go File | Send to | Other Location and then I paste the URL from the original document library and test it and the link works. It shows me the document library of the original location. When I keep
the filename the same (as I want it to override the original document with the new changes) and then I press OK and then it produces the error? I don't know what I am doing wrong???
When I look at the second hyperlink as below I complete all the steps but after step 5 which settings do I enable in the Content Organizer: Settings & Rules? I doesn't state what I need to configure?
Enable the Content Organizer in the Destination Site
To enable the Content Organizer in the destination site, do the following:
Browse to the site you want files routed to.
    Select Settings, Site Settings.
Under the Site Actions Grouping, select Manage Site Features.
    Activate the Content Organizer feature.
Click Settings, Site Settings, Site Administration, configure Content Organizer Settings and Rules.
Your prompt assistance would be much appreciated.

    Hi,
I am using sharepoint 2013, the option is not available in the list settings under the managed meta data settings. Yes, in list item the Tags&Notes option is available but that doesn't appear in the Tag cloud webpart which means list items

    Hi Nick,
Is only this action "Call HTTP Webservice" missing from SharePoint 2013 workflow?
If other actions are also missing, you can reinstall and reconfigure workflow for SharePoint 2013.

  • List Custom filter in SharePoint 2013

I recently upgraded my company's SharePoint 2010 site to SharePoint 2013. Now users are complaining for the List Custom Filter box that was available in SharePoint 2010 but is missing in SharePoint 2013.
Is there a possibility to activate that feature in SharePoint 2013 in any way?

    Hi Alex,
You can use Key filters to filter the list items per date entries.
    1. Go to Site settings --> activate 'Metadata Navigation and Filtering' feature.
    2. Go to List settings -->click 'Metadata navigation settings' under 'General Settings' -->Select the desired columns under 'Configure Key Filters' and click 'OK'.
    Please note:
Fields that are available for use as navigation hierarchies include columns on this list that are one of the following types:
    - Content Type
    - Choice Field
    - Managed Metadata Field
    - Person or Group Field
    - Date and Time Field
    - Number Field

    Thanks in Advanced

    Hi eds2000,
According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you used Search Box web part on pages in SharePoin 2013.
If you remove the search box web part on the web part maintenance page, then add it into the page again, whether this issue occurres.
Please open IIS, find the problematical web application pool, do a recyling for the pool, then restart IIS, compare the result.
If this issue still exists, please check whether you have installed SharePoint 2013 October 8 CU. If not, please install it.

  • Error In Visual WebPart SharePoint 2013

So I was creating a SharePoint 2013 visual web part on Visual Studio 2012 and came to this problem. Visual Studio automatically creates WebPartUserControl.ascx.cs and WebPartUserControl.ascx.g.cs. the WebPartUserControl.ascx.g.cs is generated automatically
when you edit the WebPartUserControl.ascx file. So I've added a couple of ContentTemplate tags into .ascx file and Visual Studio generated this code in WebPartUserControl.ascx.g.cs :
    public partial class WebPartUserControl {
public static implicit operator global::System.Web.UI.TemplateControl(AjaxVisualWebPart target)
           return target == null ? null : target.TemplateControl;
When I try to deploy the solution, Visual Studio underlines the implicit operator
     global::System.Web.UI.TemplateControl and
    I get this error:
    Namespace.WebPart.WebPartUserControl.implicit operator
    System.Web.UI.TemplateControl(Namespace.WebPart.WebPartUserControl)':
user-defined conversions to or from a base class are not allowed
I don't even imagine how to solve this even though im struggling on this issue for a couple of hours now... Can somebody help me, please? I assume I have to add something to the .ascx file or to WebPartUserControl.ascx.cs maybe? Thanks in advance!

    Hi somu1,
I suggest you check if the parameter is valid in the function.
By default, the parameter is the same as you class name like below:
    public partial class HelloWorldWebPart {
public static implicit operator global::System.Web.UI.TemplateControl(HelloWorldWebPart target)
    return target == null ? null : target.TemplateControl;
Here is a detailed code demo for your reference:
