  • Creating Z transaction from view cluster

    Hi All!
I had created view cluster using SE54.This view cluster contains check tables to be maintained by the user.
Now my problem is how to attach these view cluster to a Z transaction through SE93.In production se54 is not available and i have to attach this view cluster to the Z transaction so that selected users are restricted to use this view cluster.

    Hi Rusidar,
You can actually use the transaction code SE93 to launch a view cluster. Say you have a view cluster: MYVC. Here is how you can create a transaction code to display this:
    1. Execute transaction SE93.
    2. Enter the desired transaction code in the input field, say MY_TCODE.
    3. Click on 'Create' button. A 'Create Transaction' popup will open. In this popup, enter the short text for this code and choose the last radio among all radios which says "Transactions with Parameters ('parameter transaction')" and click 'OK'.
    4. In the resulting screen, enter 'SM34' as Default Value for transaction. Then add the following two entries under 'Default Values' section (this section is located towards the end of the screen):
    Name of screen field Value
SHOW                     X  (means simulate click on 'Display' button
VCLDIR-VCLNAME   MYVC ( This is the technical element that corresponds to the input field in the screen of transaction sm34).
    5. Check the checkbox 'Skip Initial Screen'.
    6. Save the transaction code.
Try running the code. If your cluster view already works via sm34, it should execute....

  • Creating  a view cluster

    Hi ,
I created  a view cluster which contains a hierachy of 3 tables .
In trasaction sm34 when I give the entries for 1st table and choose the 2nd table, the entries that i have given already in 1st table is not coming automatically for the 2nd table .. what will be the reason.

    Hi Gincy,
A view cluster is the set of objects, such as views, reports or tables which belong to one business function. The data can be arranged either hierarchically or non-hierarchically in view clusters.
A view-cluster transaction edits the complex cross-table data in a view cluster. The transaction navigation box shows the complex business object with its components or subobjects.

  • Problem with "Call Transaction" which calls a view cluster

    Hi Colleagues ,
I have a rare issue with the call transaction , here is the use case for it :
    1> I call a transaction(calls a screen X) in a report ,
    2> I have a button in the screen , which calls another transaction(calls a screen X2) .
3> On the screen X2 i have another button which calls transaction (calls the view cluster ).
    problem :
i'm not able to see the navigation pane in the view cluster on the left. its missing .
but when the view cluster is called direclty , i'm able to see the navigation pane in the view cluster ..
My initial doubt was , is this the problem with nesting of 'Call Transaction' calls ????
please answer the thread , i have to fix this ASAP.

  • Se54 view cluster (display mode)

Hello, I created a view cluster and call it within sm34 transaction.
So, some users need to change that view cluster and some do not need to edit.
But even if I press display button in sm34 I can see Display -> Change icon, How can I make this button invisible.
In general I need to get 2 transaction:
1st -- for editing view cluster
    2nd -- for displaying.
Please ask if I expressed my problem not correct.
    Thank You

    Kernal
I dont know if your problem solved or you still looking solution. What i can think about is you dont need to create any view cluster for display only. You can create views for that with display properties. Or if you need VC then embedd these views there you shouldnot able to edit as these will be only in display mode.
Let me know if you got any other solution.

  • How to maintain the data in the view cluster

we are doing upgrade, we have one view cluster app_log in this object scwb
and subobjects is swtlo1,02,03 like i have some subobjects in 4.6c we transported the view cluster to ecc6.0 in ecc 6.0 i have object scwb  but subobjects doesn't exist how to maintain the subobjects in view cluster.

    Definition
A view cluster is a group of maintenance dialogs which are collected in one maintenance unit for business or technical reasons. They allow related data in more than one table/view to be maintained consistently.
    Use
Whereas only 1:1 relationships can be processed in maintenance views (except for language-dependent texts), key extensions and relationships of cardinality N:M can also be handled in view clusters. Maintenance dialogs with no key, or partial key-dependence, can also be combined into view clusters.
Grouping dialogs into one maintenance unit has the following advantages for data maintenance:
Navigation: A view cluster contains convenient standard navigation between the individual maintenance dialogs. This simplifies the maintenance of the data in a view cluster.
Consistency: The view cluster ensures data consistency when deleting, copying, saving, retrieving and manually transporting data. For example when an entry in a higher-level view is deleted, , it automatically ensures that all dependent entries in lower-level views are also deleted.
You can first split tables with a lot of fields into various views and then collect them into a view cluster.
Use tabs to format very wide tables with a lot of fields.
    Structure
Navigation in a view cluster is usually based on the hierarchy of the tables/views on which the dialogs are based. A view cluster usually consists of one or more root dialogs and the at most 14 maintenance dialogs which depend on them. A view at a lower level has one or more additional fields in its key compared its higher-level view. Each data record at the higher level has several dependent data records below it.
Each maintenance dialog is an independent unit consisting of an overview screen or an overview and a detail screen, depending on the dialog type. As well as the data to be maintained, the overview screen contains a navigation area, in which you can go to higher or lower level maintenance dialogs.
One-level maintenance dialogs only contain one screen, the list screen, in which all existing data records are displayed in a table. In a two-level maintenance dialog, double-clicking on a data record in the list screen takes you to the detail screen, which displays all the fields in the selected data record.
Generate a maintenance dialog for each view before you call the cluster maintenance (SM34). When you generate the maintenance dialog, flag the key fields which are identical in the view and its higher-level in the cluster, with the maintenance attribute S. The system fills the key fields when you go from the upper to the lower level, with the values of the data record selected in the upper level. Go to the transaction SE54 to define a view cluster.

  • Query on view cluster event trigger during transport

    Hi SAP Gurus,
I would just like to ask if the subroutines set in events for view clusters would also get triggered upon transport.
We had created a function module which is meant to regenerate a dynamic program when changes are made to a particular table.  We're planning to call this function module in a subroutine that is called during an event in the view cluster (set to "before saving the data to database").  However, we would also like for this dynamic program to be regenerated automatically once the table changes are transported to the test/prod systems.  Thus, I wondered if setting up the event is sufficient, and that it would also be triggered automatically prior to saving the changes to the database during transport, or if we still need to set up XPRA for this.
    Thanks!

Some events are triggered when exportingthe changed data,
    - 10 After creating the change request header entries (E071)
    - 11 After changing a key entry in the change request (E071K)
    - 12 After changing the key entries in the change request (E071K)
which are suitable to add a XPRA entry in the request
But many events (AFAIK those without dialog) are triggered during import (and we can check if the program is called via transaction or import via flag VIM_IMPORT_MODE_ACTIVE, eg. do not execute a form which fill hidden fields like created by and created at.)

  • Hiding a Maintenance View in a View Cluster

    Hello ABAP Experts,
We have a scenario where we would like to hide a maintenance view to an existing view cluster based on condition.
Is it possible via events of a view cluster, where i can hide the view at runtime based on some condition before the view cluster is displayed ?
Is there any way as well, which help achieve this hiding of views ?
For example in the below View Cluster, i would like to hide "Define object links" view from the main view cluster "Define document Types".
    Thanks,
    Naresh

    Hi Naresh,
Yes, you can do it in events of a view cluster, define a subroutine and bounding it to event(02) in SE54,
when you define the subroutine, it will ask you creat a mian program, in this main program, you need  'INCLUDE lsvcmcod'.
Then you can access some standard data, http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/62/c302c7de8e11d1a5960000e82deaaa/frameset.htm
    INCLUDE lsvcmcod.
    FORM yourSubroutineName.
    DATA: viewname TYPE vclstruc-object,
            error_flag TYPE vcl_flag_type,
      viewname = 'ZTEST_VIEW1'.
    *  PERFORM vcl_set_table_access_for_obj USING    viewname
    *                                       CHANGING error_flag.
----> according your condition to change the view.
    IF xxx = yyy.
DELETE vcl_struc_tab WHERE object = viewname.
    ENDIF.
    ENDFORM.

  • Error while saving a Entry through view cluster ( getting TK 319 message)

We are  facing an issue while saving the entry in one of the view at the lowest level of the three level View cluster.
Please find the Details of view Cluster below.
    1)First level- Key  => MANDT( CLNT, 3) + RULE_ID( CHAR , 20) .
    2)Second level-Key =>MANDT( CLNT, 3) + RULE_ID( CHAR , 20) + LOCATION_TYPE (CHAR , 20) + START_DATE( DATS ,8).
    3)Third level (Lowest level  )-key => MANDT( CLNT, 3) + RULE_ID( CHAR , 20) + LOCATION_TYPE (CHAR , 20) + MEAL_RULE_TYPE( INT1 ,3) +  START_DATE( DATS ,8) .
we are not able to save the Entry at the Third level  and is getting the  Message "Fill table key for table ITC_CALCRULE_ML only up to position 044 only " .
As per our understanding problem is that " the transport interface is called with a incorrect object key for table ITC_CALCRULE_ML  "  . we thaught of either reduce the width of the key or if we want
to define also  the date, by  changing the order of MEAL_RULE_TYPE and START_DATE .Also we could use a CHAR1 instead of the INT1 for the MEAL_RULE_TYPE.
After analyzing  this  we came to a conclusion that we have two solutions for solving it.
    1) Database Design Change : Which is generally not preferable.
    2) Apply the Event  12  ( After changing the key entries for the change task (E071K) ) on the view and in its code we reduce the Object key width for the Transport Organizer  and
would be able to save the entry in the database  and would be able to transport the entries to our Q-system.

Hi. Were you able to fix the error?

  • Error while creating a View Cluster

    Hello Gurus,
I have created two maintenance views ZVIEW1 & ZVIEW2  with table maintenance generator.Know I am trying
to create a view cluster using these views.
I have Proceeded with the following steps to create the View Cluster:
         1. Tcode : SE54 --> GIven the name ZVIEWCLUSTER as View Cluster name & pressed ENTER.
         2. Filled the description of the View cluster.
3.Selected the tab OBJECT STRUCTURE  and filled it with ZVIEW1 & ZVIEW2.
4.Selected view ZVIEW1 and clicked on button "FIELD-DEPENDENCE" ,System throws a message
             "Field-dependence generated succesfully"
         5. Selected view ZVIEW2 and clicked on button "FIELD-DEPENDENCE" ,System throws an error message
             "No log generated".
Am stuck up at point 5 in the above mentioned steps.
Please guide me in coming out of this error message.
    Regards,
    Najam

    Hi Najam,
I don't think you need to define field dependencies for both tables, you only define the relationship from the second table to the first.
Double-click on the Field dependencies folder and check the link between the two tables is correctly defined, if so you don't need to generate the field dependency twice.

    Nick

  • Sorting of a field in view cluster

    Hi All,
Is there any way to sort a field in main screen of view cluster.
SE54->Edit view cluster->Test.  I want to sort a field in main screen, after pressing test.
Is there any event for this?
I know the events which get called after pressing test, but tables TOTAL and EXTRACT are blank in these events so I can't sort them.
    Pointers will be highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Seema

    hi
In your method there would be a parameter ie ON_TOGGLE where you can write the name of your event .
Whenever your checkbox will be clicked that event wil be called.
You can write your code in that event itself.
    Regards
