Tagging FM Songs in Brazil. Is it possible?

The company where I'm working, manages the RDS for about 200 FM Stations in Brazil. We intend to provide the "tagging function" dedicated to iPod, using RT+.
We know that we have to send to the RDS coder, the songs title, the singers name and a code provided by Apple.
Who is the person from Apple, I have to be in touch ?
Regards !!

You don't need to download any additional software. Just change the language of your system to Portuguese.

I want to transfer my song one mac to another mac, just one or two songs with rating it's possible?

I am pretty sure the ratings are stored in the main library file itself, not attached to the media files unlike things such as artist and album.  They therefore don't transfer with you adding the file to a different library.
Check Dougscripts and see if there is a script that helps with this.  One solution would be to perhaps temporarily borrow an unused tag field such as grouping and have Dougscript "place this in that" put a copy of the rating in that field, then transfer it to back to rating when you add it to a second library. I haven't done this but it might work.

This is good for me but what happened?
I don't understand the question...  Did something happen that you think should not have happened?
It took such a long time to sync, because iTunes was converting songs with bit-rate higher than 128 kbps "on the fly" while syncing.  That takes much longer than just syncing the songs.
Also, since you have so much space on your iPod (compared to the size of your music library), you should not use that "convert to 128 kbps AAC" setting.  For songs that are encoded higher than 128 kbps, the conversion reduces sound quality.  You may want to uncheck Sync Music and Apply, to remove the songs on the iPod currently, and then sync it all again without the "convert" setting checked this time.

  • Id3 tags for songs already on the ipod

I have properly edited my id3 tags for songs already on the ipod. How can I update the tags for the same music that is on my PC???

So, any idea on how to get the tags updated in the Library?
Yes. Repeat your edits on the songs in the Library.
In the future, don't edit stuff directly on the iPod. Edit it in iTunes and then sync the iPod to copy the changes to it.

  • Remove 'Explicit' tags from songs in iPod

    Hi.
I managed to remove the 'Explicit' and 'Copyright' tags from songs in iTunes.
But when I sycn them to my iPod, the tags reappear.
I don't want any kind of additional tags in my songs (explicit, copyright, 'Mastered for iTunes'...).
Also, I want to remove them, not to hide them.
    Thanks!

I'm guessing that the copyright owner does not want you to remove the copyright tag. - Just a guess...
If someone sets their choices so that they do not get any song, video etc. that's labelled as expilcit, then the last thing they would want is for you to be removing that tag. Either get the non-expilicit version or turn off your explicit restriction.

  • If i tag a song in itunes how can i see the tags in finder on a macbook pro

if i tag a song in itunes how can i see the tag in finder on a mcbook pro

Those tags are not shown in the Finder.
Metadata is generally displayed in the program designed to organize and display the content type, such as iTunes, iPhoto, etc.

  • ID3 tags and song order

I recently got a new car with a hard drive to store music on. I've imported several gigs of music, but on some of the albums the tracks are listed in alphabetical order. I've gone in to make sure all the information is correct in the tags, including the track order. I've also made sure the actual filenames are in order, i.e. "01 - song 1", "02 - song 2" and so forth, but they still show up alphabetically. It seems to be random, but occurs more often on .m4a files. It happens on some of the music I've purchased from the iTunes store, but not all. Is there something I'm missing?

Ok, I think I found the problem. It's not with how either of the devices are sorting the music. On the albums that show up in alphabetical order, there are no actual ID3 tags. When I right click on any of the songs, there is no option to "Convert ID3 tags" like there is on the music that shows up in the correct order. This even includes music I purchased directly from iTunes. However, iTunes is still displaying the track order, album info, etc. How can I fix this?

  • Question about Id3-tags and song managem

Hello, I am getting ready to buy a Zen Touch 20GB in a couple of weeks and I have a few questions about the management software.
(Correct me if I am wrong about something)
) Are songs organized into groups by Genre instead of just folders like on the Ipod?
    2) Are Id3-tags used instead of filename for identification?
    3) What parts of the tag are needed besides title and artist?
    4) Which version of tags does the Zen Touch recognize: Version or Version 2?
    5) If I edit my tags using an external program such as Id3-TagIT, will the tags carry over to the Creative software and to the player?
Thanks a lot for your help. I want to make sure I have my music collection in order before I get my Zen Touch.

euph_jay wrote:Ok, so lets say I have all my music in folders right now seperated into different categories on my hard dri've. Some folders denote the artist, some the album, and some a genre. Example: Folder: Chicago Contents: Chicago .mp3 files Folder: Techno Contents: various Techno artist's songs What is the best way of organizing my folder system, so that the transition will be easy to the player?
Folders are pretty much irrelevant. What the software will do is look at the *tags* in the files and then use these to build the player's library.
Will imbedded folders work on the player? (like Techno->Crystal Method->Cystal Method .mp3's)
Again the player has no concept of folders, although if you set Techno as a Genre tag you will be able to view via this in the Music Library.
Or, am I misunderstanding how music is stored into the mp3 player. Instead of storing music in a "folder like" system (like the Chicago folder or Techno folder), does it store all the songs individually on the device? Then you have to sort it by artist, album, or genre?
Using your example, in the Music Library you have essentially three categories: Album, Artist, and Genre. So under Album you would see "Vegas" (the Crystal Method's album), under Artist you would see "The Crystal Method", and under Genre you would see "Techno" (and then either the album or artist under this... I forget which it is offhand).
    Make sense?

  • Missing ID3 Tags on Song Files

I have a obscure problem with iTunes that has me very frustrated. I selected my entire music library, then right click -> get info -> check boxes for artist, genre, album, etc and then hit okay. I thought this would look for missing tag information in songs and fill in the blanks, but instead it erased the tag information for all the songs in my library.
Luckily, my hard drive was spared. When I open up the C: drive and look at my music folder, nothing has changed. All of the mp3 files are still tagged with the correct information. The only problem is that when I try to access songs from iTunes they appear to have no such tag information.
I have tried fixing this by deleting everything from iTunes and then adding it all back, but this didn't help. Reinstalling iTunes and a full Windows system restore didn't help either.
The result of this is that I'm afraid to sync my iPod with my computer until this is all resolved. Any insight into the problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Ooops. You just created a lot of work by erasing the tag info.
I think there are some scripts out there that can fill in ID3 tags based on file names.
This page is from an apple discussions regular poster:
    http://samsoft.org.uk/iTunes/scripts.asp
You could try the "TagFromFilename" script.
For future, itunes does not have the ability to update tag info like Windows Media Player does. I suppose you could see what WMP will do, before trying that script.
Since I haven't used either one to do this, I can't say how well either works.

  • Preserving playlists, ID3 Tags?... Is it possible outside of iTunes?

Let's say i need to empty my hard drive...i have my songs backed up, but obviously the playlists are not going to be saved when i re-sync my library. does this also go for the ID3 tags, I'd hate to have to re-edit over 1000 songs. any idea what can be done?
just in case i also made a backup copy of the itunes folder in case there is relevant info in there regarding my playlist order/ id3 tags.

  • Itunes is messing up ID3 tags and song info.

I am wondering, why is itunes keeps on changing ID3 tags.
For example. All my "The Thunderlords" songs have been changed to"thunderlords, the" Which I do not like. AC/DC got changed to DC/ac and the art was gone. Random comment such as "0" have been added to nearly every song. The album "The Wall" has been labled as "Wall, The" I do not like this >_> is THE wall not wall the. What the .... is wall the? It's not like I go around says "what heck the?" or "halo above his head the" I'm not Yoda! I'd just like to know how to stop itunes from editing this without my permission.
    All songs are MP3's. Details:
96 kpbs (mono)/ 192 kpbs (Stereo), Normal Stereo, optimized for MMX/SSE, using MP

Welcome to the world of Gracenotes. This is the database that Itunes reads to name your files. Apple pays a royalty to these clowns and this is what you get; misspellings and just plain wrong info.
I constantly sort and edit my 1300 CD collection so I would suggest you learn to do the same within iTunes. If the author names are reversed, fix one then copy. Itunes will let you select and change multiple fields once you learn to do multiple selection..not hard but tedious at times.
Apple needs to threaten to let us use the free CDDB for an alternate look up and a swap button on authors names, and so forth..

  • TS5181 I have Sirius radio and I tag a song which says Itunes tags successfully downloaded, what does it mean?

I have Sirius radio in my car.when I like a song it allows me to tag it and gives me a message on the radio that "I Tunes Tag is successfully downloaded" Where it is downloading to? I cannot find these songs

To set the Date & Time go to System Preferences->Date & Time. Uncheck the Set date and time automatically box if it is checked and set the date to before the date in the message.
As for safety I have had to do this when installing old versions of Aperture Apples photo program and have not had any problems I would recommend you close all  non-essential apps while doing this to minimize any weirdness. Also if you are running TM (or another backup program) I'd recommend turning those off while you do this.
Once you are done installing the software recheck the box if it was checked and the date and time should reset to today.. if not you can set them manually.
    regards

  • Customized Tags for Songs

I am a bit of an organization freak. I have been using J. River Media Center to play songs, but now that I have an iPod, I am disgruntled because when I copy the songs to my iPod, the images do not come over, and half the songs don't play.
I am trying to use iTunes now, but I cannot seem to figure out how to show custom tags. For example, in Media Center, I invented new tags that did not exist to allow me to categorize my tracks in different ways. I made a Mood tag, a Principal Instrument tag, a How Discovered tag, a Country tag, a Status tag, a Fave tag, etc. iTunes does not seem to have a way to show these tags or allow me to create them. Am I missing something?
    [email protected]

But why not? It is a no-brainer. Why not provide people with the convenience of creating their own tags? I think I shall stay with Media Center just for this reason.
I know I can put tags in the Grouping or Comments field, but this is really a visual inconvenience when you have many tags. For example, I have a song that I want to tag with Piano, Norway, Faves and Upbeat for the purpose of creating separate playlists. I know I can set the smart playlist to say, "Grouping contains Piano" or "Grouping contains Faves", but visually this is an inconvenience, and when you have tons of songs you want to categorize in many different ways, it is more convenient to be able to create separate tags entirely.

  • Zen 4GB - ID3 tags on songs on memory card showing up as chinese/gibber

Any of the music on my Zen 4gb flash player itself can show the ID tags without any problem.
But, if I put that same music on my SD card and put it into my Zen player and play the music, it shows up as a combination of chinese characters and gibberish.
I've tried formatting the card into different file systems and nothing seems to work. The file names of the songs show up correctly, it's just that the ID3 tags are somehow corrupted.
    Any ideas?
EDIT - For some reason, random songs stored on the SD card ARE showing their correct ID3 tags. I've compared one file to the next and I can see no rhyme or reason.

I have the same problem with files on the card.
    Player:Creative ZEN, Version .2.0e, RAM 8GB
Card: SanDisk UltraII SDHC 5MB/s 4GB
So, if anybody has an idea how to solve this, I also would appreciate this.

  • Assign custom tag output to variable. Is it possible?

I form the code of page like this:
    <body onLoad="... #myArray[XXX]# ...">
    <cfoutput>#printTable(...)#</cfoutput>
    </body>
function printTable is something like iterate process of
    creating tree-menu structure:
    <cffunction name="printTable" ...>
    <cfloop....>
    ArrayAppend(myArray, ....)
    <cfoutput><CF_treeItem....></cfoutput>
    printTable(....)
    </cfloop>
    </cffunction>
SO - the problem is that I need myArray elements, but they're
    created inside printTable function.
I could save everything into the variable and output later,
    like <cfset printTableVar = printTable(....)>, but I use
    custom tags
What should I do not to change the things too much?
It would be good if I could assign custom tag result to
    variable:
    <cfset blablabla = "<....>" &
    <CF_treeitem...> ....
Ok, i will do it via external variable
    (Caller.blablabla)

Obviously the correct solution is to re-write it properly,
but for your question of putting the CT results into a variable,
    you just need to use
    cfsavecontent.
