Tagging problem in 5.3

I have just updated to 5.3, and I'm suddenly having a tagging issue I never had before.
I'm not a professional user, and not always able to tag my photos at upload. I keep a smart collection that identifies images that need tags and work out of that to clear the backlog. In the past, it's always worked that the images will disappear once I add the tags I want and hit return.
In 5.3, it works that way for a few images, but then suddenly stops. The images continue to appear in the grid display and, more puzzlingly and more disconcertingly, every image in the collection, and as it happens in the entire catalog, appears to have inherited the same set of tags that I just applied to the last image or two.
When I close and restart, this behavior stops, but it returns again. I've tried rebooting but it does not have any impact.
The problem doesn't APPEAR to be affecting tags on other images, but it's startling to see and makes it impossible to tag any number of images without having to retstart the program every handful.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there any solution?

The possibility that information on thousands of keyword-tagged files could be overwritten by a bug in this software is very disconcerting to me. So far, it does not APPEAR to have happened ... every time I close and restart the program, it appears to show the correct tags, but this is a very frustrating issue as it means I can only tag a few images at a time before having to close the program, cross my fingers that it hasn't done something awful and restart.
It may well be just a problem with my machine or installation, but I have no way to contact customer support to determine if this is a known issue or something worth investigating ... all links direct me here.
I'd greatly appreciate an Adobe response.

HTML or PHP visibility div tag problem in IE

Hi,
I have a PHP search function on a travel site a programmer
did for me. When you look at it in FF and Safari, it looks fine.
But in IE, there is a big blank space where the calendar function
goes. He has the div tag set to visibility:hidden. Any ideas how to
make it look right in IE as well?? Any help would be appreciated!

User interface template substitution tags problem

Hi all,
I am designing an unstructured user interface for use with my portal reports.
I have located a help document called 'Unstructured user interface template substitution tags' from the standard portal help pages.
My problem is that only a few of these tags are actually being substituted for their correct values when I run my reports. For example the help document says the #PAGE.CUSTOMIZEPAGE# tag should be substituted with HTML text hyperlink to the customize page dialog. On my report this tag and the majority of others are substituted with a blank line.
Any ideas?

Same problem exists with the #TITLE# tag. However, SOMETIMES (I don't know how or why) the tag shows up. If I find out what the secret is, I'll let you know.
Anyone else have any input?

Dom Parsing and BR tag problem...

hi all,
I have a Dom parser which examines an xml file and creates a Jtree from its content... it works fine except that when it meets a </br> tag it creates a new node for it in the tree... is there anyway to get it to consider the two "node" as one...
example:

some text 1
some text 2
</p>
should be added in one node as some text 1 some text 2 instead it puts some text 1 in one node and some text 2 in another....

Custom Tag Problem With iPlanet

Hi,
I've followed the instructions for creating Custom Tags located at: http://docs.iplanet.com/docs/manuals/enterprise/41/rn41sp9.html#18776. I'm using the examples provided and am still getting the:
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to open taglibrary /jsps/test-tags.jar : com.sun.xml.tree.TextNode
error. I've followed the instructions "Make sure you have the DOCTYPE in your taglib.tld..." but I still get the error.

XML element tag problem

Hi guys,
I am facing a problem in parseing a XML file when the element is in <element/> tag format. Iam using "javax.xml.parsers.SAXParser" to parse the XML. Basically XML contains many fields that are mandatary in my XSD. my requirement is that if there is a SAXParseException, I should get the name of the element for which the error is comming.
What I am doing is, I am storing the name of the element in startElement method, which I print it in the catch block of the error. This code is working fine for <element></element> type of tag. But when the element tag is <element/> this. it does not go in the startElement or endElement block. Hence I always get the name element which is previous to the error element.
How can I get the element name in both form of the element tag. As I have no control over the XML, which is posted on my servlet.

I'm not sure why you're having a problem - the SAXException tells you where in the input stream the error is, and SAX parsers may report a validation error at any time so long as it is before passing the invalid element to the content handler. So it's legal for the exception to occur immediately after the startDocument, and will not necessarily occur immediately after the callback for the preceding element.
Eg, if the DTD says you have <!ELEMENT foo (a,b,c,d)> and you have <foo><a/><b/><x/><d/></foo>, then the parser may well report the error before the startElement() call for the foo element, as it is invalid. Such fail-fast parser validation means you can safely update a persistant resource on receipt of the events, rather than having to wait until the element is closed before you are sure it's valid.
This works fine for <element/> tag. But now there is a problem with <element></element> tag.Post the code you have, show how you are mapping from the line no. in the exception to the source data, and state which parser you are using.

Audio tag problem in latest stable version of firefox (3.6.7 & 3.6.8)

navigate to this html game using audio tags. With sound on (default you will hear background music) click on logo, on next screen click on a number and a (found) sound will play. click on a non number and a (wrong) sound should play. The wrong sound never plays in firefox v3.6.7 or v3.6.8. Note it is working correctly in firefox 4 beta 1.

I've reverted back to 3.6.6 until they fix the problem. I'm guessing its something to do with the webm stuff as that is in both 3.6.7 and 3.6.8.
Maybe v4 will solve everything...

Ap Div Tag Problem

OK so this is my first wbesite in dreamweaver so and i ran into a problem....i made a AP div tag but i can get it where i want it.....my backrground is center in the website and i put my nav links in a AP div tag so i could then put them in a certain area where i wanted.(i think is the only way i know hjow to do this) Well how can i get them centered left and right in the website but the top and bottom i want to place by hand???? they are where they need to be when i preview it in the browser but in the dreamweaver file they are down and to the right......i had to keep messing with it and previewin it until it showed up where i wanted it to in the browser. Im sure i have a setting worng either in my CSS or html.... Please help!

First rule of web design is to stop thinking like a graphic or print designer. Web pages need to be flexible to perform well on different devices, browsers, user settings, screen and text sizes. And web designers have almost no control over these user-centric variables.

If your navigation bar requires a background, it should be separate from the page background. You'll need to use solid colors or create image slices for your nav bar in your graphics editor.
Third rule, use default CSS positioning (which is no positioning at all). Align objects with CSS margins, padding and floats.

STYLE tag problem in HTML Parser.

Hi,
I am trying to parse a HTML file. I am able to extract context of various tags like Tag.SPAN,Tag.DIV and so...
I want to extract the text content of Tag.Style. What to do? The problem is that HTML Parser right now doesnot support this tag along with 5 more tags which are Tag.META,Tag.PARAM and so..

Photo tagging problems

How do you tag a photo in in the camera roll? Say I want to put a name with a picture...How do you do that with an iPhone 4s? Is there an app that does this if the phone wont?

NMH305 mp3 TAG problem on Sony Bravia KDL-40HX700

Hi,
Need some help, i have a NMH305 streaming to a Sony Bravia KDL-40HX700 and have a problem with the mp3 tags for Artist not being shown during playback (always says Unknown) and the same in Bits to.
If start a mp3 file, the covers, the song title and the album name are correctly displayed BUT the Artist name and Bits is a blank field.

Merged projects - topic-level tag problems in sub-projects

I am working on an extensive help file in RoboHelp HTML. It
consists of a master project and 15 sub-projects. Each of the sub
projects have topic-level conditional tagging, and when each
sub-project is compiled, the topic-level tagging works and the CHM
is correct in regards to what topics are included and excluded.
However, when I compile the master project, it seems that RoboHelp
disregards ALL topic-level tagging in the sub-projects. So, the CHM
for configuration A includes all sub-project topics for
configurations A, B, C, and D. The topics are in the TOC and they
appear as search results. We are not using an index, but binary
index is checked in the project settings.
The same four configurations in the sub-projects are also in
the master project, but the conditional tag expressions aren't
word-for-word identical. Should they be?
Note that the content-level tagging within the sub-projects
DOES work when the master project is compiled. For some reason, the
problem is isolated to the topic-level tagging.

I think I'm the one causing the problem - I don't think I
read your initial post carefully enough. Sorry...
I can't figure out how this is happening. When you merge
.chms, you have already compiled the 'slave' projects. The link
from the master TOC points to a slave .chm - which you say is
working correctly when opened on its own.
Since the slaves and masters are compiled independently,
there shouldn't be any interaction between the master and slave
build expressions - and if there is one, it should be excluding
more topics, not including more topics!
The typical problems people have with merged .chms seem to be
TOC issues (does the master TOC show up, or just the slave
project's TOC?) and path issues (the master can't find the slaves).
However, I did see one or two posts on this forum where the master
was pointing to old copies of the slave .chm - could you have a
"complete" .chm lurking about?
BTW, according to RH help, binary indexes are fine in merged
HTMLhelp. Binary TOCs are not. I don't think you have this problem,
because the symptoms are different, but you could take a look - the
setting is in the HTMLHelp Generate wizard. Click the [Advanced]
button on the first wizard page and look on the TOC tab to make
sure Binary TOC is not checked.
You might also do a quick search on the General
Info/HTMLHelp/RH for HTML forums for "merged .chm" - you might
recognize a symptom in someone's post that I didn't catch.

Custom Tag Problems

Hello Everyone,
I am using iPlanet 4.1 as my web server and am having some problems with using custom tags. I try to access a jsp that uses my custom tags and I get a 500 Internal Server error. Then when I check the web server logs all it has is this one very esoteric message: "[26/Sep/2002:08:35:51] warning ( 8042): Internal error: Failed to get GenericServlet. uri=/BUYS/sep_accts.jsp,SCRIPT_NAME=/BUYS/sep_accts.jsp)" Usually I get this message when I make changes to a servlet and do not restart the web server, but that is not the problem this time.
I am trying to use a very simple tag called SayHelloTag which just prints hello to the browser. I have a foundation tag which extends tag support and then SayHelloTag extends the foundation tag. Then I have it all JARd up and in the classpath like I'm supposed to. If anyone could take a look at my code and tell me if you see anything wrong I would be most appriciative!

Unstructured UI Template Substitution tags - PROBLEM

But as a result i get the standard icon for home, with the text "Home" under it
