Taking 9 minutes to make A/R invoices

Dear All,
We are facing an issue on AR Invoice while selecting any delivery document and copy it to AR INvoice it is taking almost 9-10 minutes to load.
There are 50 line items in the row level and there are 3 formatted searches used to pouplate each line item.
2 FMS are used for calculation of TAX
1 FMS is used for bringing price list from a particular warehouse.

Hi,
I need to make a single invoice per one delivery for a certain customer number. Don't need a single invoice for multiple deliveries.

Enable to make payment of invoices against which TDS is deducted

Hi All,
We have posted 3 vendor invoices & deducted the TDS against each invoice as follows -
Inv. Amt                            TDS
7516                                158
5050                                107
5051                                 106
Now when I am trying to take out the payment of Rs. 17617/-against the above invoices through F-53 in open item process again the TDS amt 371/- is getting deducted against the payment of Rs. 17617/-
Please suggest how do i take out the payment of Rs. 17617/- only without deducting 371/- of TDS?

Recollect the screen that pop ups when you make down payment or Make an invoice. At the time of down payment you will be given the tax codes that were applicable at the time of making payment transaction.
when it comes to Invoice, the system pop up both the Payment related/Invoice related tax codes that are applicable to the vendor.
So when you are processing invoice you need to make sure that the payment related codes are deleted or entered manually a zero value agianst those codes. This will prevent the calculation of tax again at the time of making the payment.
In your case you need to reverse the invoice and do it again or clear line items manually after passing a TDS JV.

Forms - make text uneditable (invoices)

I currently us Adobe InDesign CS5.5 to create interactive forms such as invoices and receipts. How ever, now that I moved to a MAC computer I cannot make a PDF document that locks in the data so that the customer cannot modify.
I used to fill in the invoice then do a 'Print to PDF' on my WIN PC - but I cannot figure out how to do this.
Do I need to install a generic printer so that I can do 'Print to PDF'?
I use Adobe Acrobat:

Even if you could print to PDF, it is better to flatten the form. This process converts the form field appearances to regular page contents, removing the interactive fields in the process. This can be done with PDF Optimizer or Preflight, or with the following JavaScript-based utility: http://www.uvsar.com/projects/acrobat/flattener/

How to make sure that Invoices went through?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question about EDI/IDocs.
I want to make sure that the invoices for a particular day were received by the customer. How can I do this at the SAP level?
I checked in WE02 and it shows me quite a few IDocs with status "07 Error during syntax check". Others are "53 Application document posted". But the customer complains that they have not been getting any invoices. Also, is there a way to see which IDoc number belongs to which Invoice number?
Please suggest.

Hi John,
If you double click on the status 26 in IDOC (Txn. WE05), it will show you the error message with details of the error. Also you will notice that the IDOC is displayed as flat structure as opposed to a hierarchy. If IDOC is successfully sent out it will have a status record with status "03". I am not sure how you EDI subsystem is setup, but if you are sure that it has been passed to EDI subsystem then why not check in the logs on EDI subsystem whether is was processed or not.

PreferenceSyncClient eating RAM and taking minutes to run

Every hour on the hour, PreferenceSyncClient proceeds to take up 1+ GB of RAM (out of 4) while bringing my machine to a near standstill. I must force quit it in order to get in work done in the next 10 minutes. I am not a .Mac subscriber. I've looked at Syncrospector and it shows nothing out of the ordinary other than trying to Sync the Preferences with something. I've removed almost all 3rd party preference panes (except MS Mouse, Keyboard and MySQL which have all been around for a long time before this problem started occurring.) Also, note, it does this regardless of whether I've changed any preferences or not.
Anyone have any insight on how to deal with this? Can I just rename/remove the PreferenceSyncClient.app? Or, perhaps, I should edit the sync plist and remove the server synchronization part of it (not that I know what server it is syncing to).

I ran into trouble with SyncServices going back to 10.5.0-10.5.3, in my case I noticed it using Tri-Backup 5 along with Disk Warrior, that something wasn't right and was in the sub-folder "local" I believe, which looked like spaghetti string - alias files that I couldn't make head or tail.
I think your fix is easier and more elegant!

DW CS4 taking MINUTES(!) to open a file

I have a couple of small htm files - around 25k - that are taking from two to four minutes to open by double clicking them on the file menu. On the other hand, on the same site, a little 12k file is opening instantly. Can anyone suggest where I can start looking for the slow-open solution?

You haven't said what your operating system is so it is difficult to advise you. However, as I only work with Windows system, I can suggest that try creating a new windows profile and then try opening these files and see if there is any improvement.
From my experience of working with Windows systems, I have come to the conclusion that in a situation like what you are describing, the only way is to create a new profile or to wipe the HD and start everything all over again. I prefer to create a new profile and copy all the documents (documents only without any windows configuration files) on to the new profile. the reason being the profile must have been bloated/corrupted.

Why does plugin-container.exe start 15 times (and then stop) during shutdown (taking MINUTES to shut down)?

FF takes forever to close (minutes). When using process explorer I see that as many as 15 instances of plugin-container.exe will be opened during the shut down process. I think this means that a plugin is crashing. I disabled all of the plugins and it still happened (but maybe not so many times). An obvious answer is to leave FF open but that seems kinda dumb. I haven't seemed to be able to find this addressed anywhere. I am using updated Xp, on a many year old machine. Please help.

How to make AP Service Invoice Tax Amount editable?

Hi Experts,
On this forums I have read that it is possible to edit the Tax Amount in a AP Service Invoice. On my DB (SAP 2007 A - PL 42) the Tax Amount field is not editable.
Is this something that you need to setup in Administration?

I have found a way:
In order to modify this amount, because the Tax Amount if made up of several tax jurisdictions (county, city, state, etc), you have to drill down into the Tax amount in the AP Service Invoice Line detail (there should be a Drill Down arrow next to the amount)(this arrow are only there after you put the unit price in), which will take you to the Tax Amount Jurisdiction window, and modify the amount of each jurisdiction. This is pretty risky because now you have human error possibility, but it can be done this way. It will override the Tax Amount for that row and not save the changes to the Tax Code.

Mail taking Minutes to create New Messages, or replies

This afternoon Mail has decided I need to stop and smell the roses or something because suddenly creating a new message, or replying to a message takes several minutes.
If I click "new message" I get the beachball for more than 2 minutes (just timed it). Same thing happens if I reply to a message - more than 2 minutes of beachball.
Oddly, it's not pegging the processor as this happens (according to Activity Monitor) nor is anyone complaining to console.log or system.log.
Very Strange.

This problem started happening today for me too. There is about a 2 minute delay to open a new message or reply to one.
Of note is that I did not yet apply the Quicktime 7.1.1 update! Therefore, I am skeptical that this problem is caused by QT 7.1.1.
I am now wondering if this has something to do with the date of June 1st, 06? That would be weird, but I see no other reason for a bunch of people suddenly having this problem.
I have looked at various log files, and seen nothing obvious, though I am getting a series of repeated warnings from mdimportserver, such as "Jun 1 22:59:58 Alsek mdimportserver[470]: * Failed to decode quoted-printable \13\10 data, treating as binary". Could spotlight be messing with Mail?
This is all very strange. Apple, please help.

when you have an account determination error when you do billing, please check the following:
1. first, as the others said, do t-code VKOA and check the assignments to the GL accounts. the assignments come in the form of: application + condition + chart of accounts + customer account assignment group + material account assignment group + account key = GL accounts.
2. let's say in VKOA you see that the assignments have already been done. now, you have to go back to your invoice using VF02 and see if account assignment groups in your header (customer) and item (material) have been properly entered. inspect by following the menu path GoTo > Header > Header, and check the entry in the "Account Assignment Group" field for customer and choose a value. do the same for the material by highlighting each line item, then following the path GoTo > Item > Item details, and checking the entries in the "Account Assignment Group".
3. when all is done, try releasing the invoice. if all goes well, the invoice will post to FI and an accounting document will be generated.

Taking Screen Shots Make Speakers Turn Off. . .

*Sorry - didn't mean to post this in Power and Batteries! Can't see how to move it - will post again elsewhere - please feel free to Tut loudly at me!*
I take a lot of screen shots at the minute using Apple / Shift and 4. Recently I have noticed that 2/5 times I take the screen shot - the speakers give a crackle and stop. iTunes continues to play but with no sound.
I am on the internet with perhaps Photoshop and Adium also open (and obviously iTunes too).
Has anyone else noticed this? Is it a weeeee glitch or something to be worried about? Is it the speakers packing in?
Would appreciate any opinions on this one.

Why are illustrator CS4 3rd party plugin panels taking minutes to load?

Hello Everyone
I use IL on Mac and use some 3rd party plugins with my software [This problem is most noticeable with the Cvalley plugins - Filterit and Xtreampath]. The problem is that often they'll take many minutes to load and stay as blank grey panels [as seen in the picture] with no manipulatable variables - does anyone know the reason for this and how to speed up their load time? as you'd imagine it slows me down a lot.

i am interested in modifying the SBO_SP_TransactionNotification function by not allowing the store to make an invoice with older date.
for example, i dont want to give them the opportunity to make a new invoice by changing the date of the invoice

Goto administartion->system initilaisation->Document settings.
under general tab,you will find 'Block Documents with earlier posting date' just tick it and update.

Are you creating the reporting using SAP Business one Crystal or .Net Crystal?
if you are using .Net crystal and bringing result in report by querying the OINV table (not directly keeping OINV as the data source) then you can defineltly add union clause in your query and bring data from ORIN table.
