Taking a server down for maintenance

Hi,
I have two weblogic servers (6.0 sp2), running on separate machines, participating
in a cluster.
I have 2 apache servers on the front-line using the weblogic plugin to handle
load-balancing the requests to the weblogic cluster.
How do I deativate a server? How do I stop all NEW requests going to a particular
server in a cluster so that I can take the machine that the server is running
on down for maintenance?
I do not want to stop the server as I would like to continue serving the requests
that have been directed to that particular server by the proxy plugin. I would
prefer to stop NEW requests going to box, and then take down the server once all
sessions have ended.
How do most people take physical machines down for maintenance?
Thanks
Richard

By suspending the server?

    Hi,
For the HT/Cas if you are having high availbilty then you can do the maintenance activity then restart the server for mbx if it si dag start by Move-ActiveMailboxDatabase -Server  SERVERNAME. similarly for other nodes once done run the script  .\RedistributeActiveDatabases.ps1
     based upon the activatiion

  • Site down for Maintenance

I just purchased a subsription to the Adobe Cloud yesterday, and have yet to be able to get past the sign in page as it tells me the site is down for Maintenance.
I have things I need to do in Illustrator, but have no way to access site.  Is there a work around, or am I just out of luck (and money)?

    All OK here.

  • System down for maintenance

From many many days, on apple support site in the applecare , appears this unbelievable message :
    "System down for maintenance
We're sorry, our system is not available at this time.
Please try again in a few minutes or return to the Apple Support site."
So I can't control my applecare status or apply the repairing for my 3G!!!!

    Hello and welcome....
Try contacting AppleCare from your computer, not your iPhone. And on your computer, try reloading the page and see if that helps. Ctrl + R on your keyboard.

  • Is iTunes Connect down for maintenance?

I'm in the process of signing up for the first time and all day I've got a message saying I should try again later because it's down for maintenance. Now, I wouldn't normally doubt Apple over something as straightforward as an error message but there's no other sign that it's down. Not in Apple's System Status for instance.
And over the weekend I lost an hour because an application threw up a similar message when it was really a completely different issue that was stopping me.
Have you noticed whether it's down for you? And if it is, do you happen to know how long it usually stays down for, please?
Thanks for any help: I am, of course, trying to do this against the clock so that I can at least get something started on the process before I go on holiday.

I am trying to use the Autoingestion jave tool for the first time and I am getting these error messages:
The username and password parameters have been deprecated. Please use the properties file for user credentials.
The report you requested is not available at this time.  Please try again in a few minutes.
Before I drive myself crazy, is the system up and running at this time?
    Thanks

  • How to disable alerts when OMS is down for maintenance?

    Hi,
When we bring down OEM 12c application for maintenance for a period of time, lots of alert e-mails got sent out due to the fact the OMS is down. These alert e-mails contains the following info in the e-mail subject line:
EM Event: <Severity>:<target-name> - Agent is unable to communicate with the OMS. (REASON = Agent is Unreachable (REASON : Agent to OMS Communication is brokenFailure connecting to https://oem12-stg:4900/empbs/upload
These alert e-mails are not necessary and annoying. Does anyone know if there is a way to disable these alert e-mails temporarily during the OMS maintenance window?
    Thank you for the help.

  • Email down for maintenance?

why can't apple do "routine" maintenance during non-business hours? why can't they give us advance notice? we are, after all, paying for this email - it ain't free.
    iMac G4   Mac OS X (10.3.7)

If no advance notice was provided at the .Mac website, this is probably not "routine" maintenance even though it is being called "routine".
Regardless the ISP or email account provider, server problems can and do occur which usually don't last long.

  • CAL down for maintenance?

    Hi Everyone,
Is CAL currently undergoing maintenance or is something wrong with it?
Unable to login to the website with the screen below.

    Hi Hannes,
Thanks for getting back. Appreciate if it can be up ASAP as we are running a HANA CodeJAM here in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) in 1 hours time.
Currently we are using HANA ONE as a stop gap measure but most of the materials are up on CAL.
    Thanks once again!

  • Is the activation server down for Norton?

So I have Win 10, downloaded the new version of Norton. First time not sure if activated, but when I tried liveupdate came up with error 3941,243 or something like that. The fix it didn't work, tried livechat, they suggested running the Norton removal tool, which I did. Second install it says "activate now" tried that three times says it's communicating with server and you get whirly bit, but still not activated. FWIW to add to USAF's sticky above, the pin does appear on the download page, so you can always write it down there.

Can you tell me where the license folder is located? I am having the same issue. Thanks!License Folder???I can tell you one of our users posted this: " I had a Norton and a NortonInstaller folders, each with files in them in my C:\Program Files (x86) directory.  This was what was causing the Installer to NOT install Norton Security Suite.  Once Shishir (a tech from Norton) deleted those folders/files, they re-installed NSS and all works." Anothr user has also reported this fixed their system and permitted the reinstall of NSS. When I asked what was deleted, they said "previous license folder/folders". They were probably referring to previous Norton folders left behind, the same as "Taz" has described.

  • CS Review down for maintenance?

It is June 10th and Acrobat.com isn't coming up. No message via Firefox or Safari. Hadn't received any message saying maintenance being done.

    Hi Katharine,
I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble accessing Acrobat.com - and thanks for the screenshot. If you don't mind, please answer a few questions for me and we'll try to get to the bottom of this:
    1. What OS are you on?
2a. What browser are you using?
2b. Have you tried any other browsers?
    3. What version of Flash Player do you have installed? To check, please go here: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
    4. Have you been able to access Acrobat.com in the past?
    5. Are you trying to connect to Acrobat.com from within a CS5 product (e.g. InDesign), or are you typing "www.acrobat.com" in the address bar of your browser?
I'm sorry if these seem a bit basic, but the information will help us decide where to go from here. Thanks!
    Kind regards,
    Rebecca

  • Until when does the System down for maintenance last??!!

I need to check the serial no. before Purchasing i pad and the system is still not available for more than 2 hours,, when can I access the web page to check it out?

I think it varies with different countries.   At the top of your support page should be a yellow advice band through which you can check your local situation.
The latest maintenance in particular, has been a very long one; (5 hours in the UK).
