Taking more than one day to download video?

I purchased ones episode of The Office. It took almost a full day to purchase it. Now it's downloading at a snail's pace. I am on a T1 line and have my iTunes folder set to my C: drive. Does it take anyone else this long to download something? Suggestions?

It isn't, something has gone awry. Hold the power button for about 10 seconds to perform a forced shutdown. Then restart as normal. When you turn to the System Preferences, Users and Groups tab you will probably find that the account was deleted. But it may not be. If you chose the option to delete the user's folder, make sure that it is indeed deleted. It will probably be a good idea to start in recovery mode - restart holding the command R key - and use Disk Utility to repair the hard drive, just in case.

On my iPad 3, how do I make calendar items lasting more than one day appear as such on the monthly view of my calendar? Right now only the first day of the item appears.

On iPad 3, all of my calendar items lasting more than one day do not appear correctly when looking at the monthly view of the calendar; only the first day of the appointment appears. For example, if I am taking a vacation for 4 days, only the first day of the vacation is marked on the calendar, instead of being listed on all 4 days. When I look at the weekly view, however, it is correct and is listed on all 4 days. The problem here of course is that at a glance, there is no way to look at my monthly schedule. On my iPhone, everything is correct, regardless of month or week view, so clearly this is an iPad problem I guess? Please advise on how this can be corrected. Thank you!

Unfortunately you can't do what you want. Many people have complained to Apple about this. I suggest you provide Apple feedback directly at http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html. They will not provide a direct response but hopefully if enough people provide feedback Apple will fix this.

I used to have a droid and loved the calendar on the main screen that used to show me the next few appointments coming up - so far I have only figured out how to put in to show for next day or 2 days or etc....
is there any way to show tomorrow and next few days in notification, or is there a good app out there that will greet me. dont have 4s to ask just a 4
i used google calendar and they all show up in calendar but REALLY need the functionality to see what is coming up, kind of like what you see in outlook or any other email program.

My project has a bunch of ProRes files referenced... even when I move them, and After Effects marks them as offline, I just get this: Last log message was: <140735209366288> <ae.blitpipe> <2> Making New Context.
I have done some searching, and even if I go to Google, and put the search in quotes, I get nothing. It doesn't sound like anyone else has had just this problem.
Help?

Sounds like the ProRes files are encoded oddly in a format that AE's own handler can't understand and while falling back to QT it crashes. I believe there are some known issues with this for ProRes 444, but then again I'm not a Mac guy...

More than one day, but not a week

Wasn't there a way to show more than one day at a time, but less than a week?

Wow! How did I miss that?
And why is it in Preferrences; it ought to be a view button.

As you know when you submit any request throigh concurrent manager . The request completed normal or give warning or error .
My probelm I have request running for more than one day .but I don't know right tool how invetigate about this issue .
I checked alert log and database lock but nothing wierd .
We are using 11.5.10.2 with 10.2.0.4 DB .

Sync and Create project operation from DTR is taking more than one hour

Hi All.
Recently basis team has implemented the track for ESS/MSS application.So When we import the track to NWDS its showing 500 Dcs.
I have successfully done the Sync and create project operation from DTR for 150 DCS and its take 5 min per Dcs.
However after that when i am trying to sync Dc or create project DC from DTR the operation is taking more than 3 hour per DC.Which should not be the case because for rest 150 DC that i ahve done Sync operation adn Create project operation from DTR it hardly takes 5 min per Dc.As this operataion is taking so much time finally i have close the NWDS to stop this operation.
I am using NWDS 2.0.15 and EP7.0 portal SP15 and NWDI is 7.0
Can any body tell how to solve this issue so that i can Sync and Create project from DTR for a DC within 5 min?

Hi Susmita,
If the DCs are fine in CBS build, then I feel there is no need to test all of them locally in NWDS.
You can verify some certain applications in these DCs, then you sync & create project for these DCs & test run these applications.
As I get you only need to check ( no changes will be done ), yes you can verify them in small groups (say 20-25 DCs/group) in different workspaces so that no workspace is overloaded.
But why do you want to keep a copy of them locally as you are not making any changes, you can Unsync & Remove these projects once verified & use the same workspace to work on the next set of DCs.

German characters taking more than one bytes

Hi All,
I am trying to load a flat file (which I received in email), by SQL*loader into a table.
In few of the rows, not all, there are some German characters, like "hüri".
This data is going into a varchar2(30) column. In the text file, for this column (in the rows in question), there are 30 characters, **"If we count that special character as 1 character"**.
Means, if there was a normal English character in that string, instead of the German, this was a string of 30 characters and would be loaded without issues.
In this case, my load is failing. Error is, "ORA-12899: value too large for column SHORT_NAME (actual: 31, maximum: 30)".
Basically, that one character is taking space for more than 1 character in our database.
How can I get this character to fit in one character in database ???
Those on Unix, if I do the od command for that special character, I get this output.

HT202023 anyone have an issue with Evernote premium purchase taking more than a day to take effect?

upgraded to Evernote Premium on iTunes but roughly after a day, Evernote still indicates that it is the free version....any ideas?

I have the same problem, I went to the payment process, selected the program, filled my personal data(credit card, billing address, etc) and after I clicked continue and I got redirected to a webpage that said "Thank You Once your payment has been processed, you will receive an email from Apple Developer Program Support on how to activate and access your items. It may take up to two (2) business days to process your order." But I have not received any email notification from Apple nor my credit card been charged the $99 and my enrollment status is pending and telling me to go through the purchase process once again.
I filled the form 3 days ago (friday). I dont have a clue where I am standing... Any help please.
Also I sent an email to the support team explaining my concerns and it's been more than 24 hours and no message received.

Download of Firefox browser taking more than a day.

I have been having trouble using my Yahoo mail on Firefox, with different functions getting lost in endless cycles that require me to quit the program and try again, as well as frequently crashing and displaying the Stop Script window. I decided to reinstall the browser, so I AppZapped it on my hard drive, and started a fresh download. However, the download time displays as taking 2 days and counting! That can't be right. I've tried it several times and I keep getting the same result. Any ideas?! Thx.

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

1080p HD movies require a recommended speed of 8 Mbps, 720p HD movies require a recommended speed of 6 Mbps, while SD movies require a recommended speed of 2.5 Mbps.

How do you delete more than one item from download folder at a time?

I have been trying to clean out my downloads folder which has gotten too full. Mostly audiobooks which are now in iTunes and photographs that I have received from family and friends. I can drag them one at a time into the trash, but was hoping there is a faster way. If not, I will do this slowly. My understanding is that if the file is saved somewhere else, deleting it from the downloads folder doesn't delete it from my mac, right?

One more question, am I correct in assuming that if I delete something from the downloads folder, even an application I have downloaded (I have a program that converts photos to cross stitch patterns and I don't want to delete it) that the application will not be deleted from my computer?

That is probably a correct assumption. However it's always a good idea to double check before trashing something. Let's use the App (that's what programs are called on Macs) for cross stitch patterns. Check the Applications folder and if you see the app there it's fine to trash it from your downloads folder. Even if you goof once it's in the trash you can get it out of the trash assuming you haven't emptied the trash. Open the trash folder, right click the item and select Put Back. If you are not using Snow Leopard (10.6.x) then you can drag the item back to where it was originally.
