Talent Calibration Grid

We have performance on a scale of 1 to 5 and potential on a scale of 2.  We want to split talent into a "4 box" matrix by excluding anyone with 1 and 2 performance ratings (the lowest) and in the four boxes see employees plotted as follows:
top right - performance rating 5, potential 1
bottom right - performance rating 5, potential 2
top left - performance ratings 3 and 4, potential 1
bottom left - performance ratings 3 and 4, potential 2
We also only want to move people up and down, not across, as performance will be fixed.
Does anyone know if this is possible with standard SAP functionality?  Will it cause issues trying to place 2 performance ratings into one box?
I am not technical, so I have no idea how to work round this.

hi Clare,
I don't see how this can be done entirely. You can define your configuration so that you only have 4 boxes, but I would create a proof-of-concept to be sure. I don't believe you can prevent people being moved around for Performance purposes. Moving people in the boxes will change their performance rating BUT not in appraisal documents, since the performance rating used here is from infotype HRP7409.

    In order to fix a bug with the Calibration Grid, the following values need to be entered into table T77TMCAESFIELD. This can be done via IMG > Talent Management and Talent Development > Basic Settings > Adjusting the User Interfaces > Configurations for Data Retrieval > Extend Fields Selection > Adjust Data Retrieval for Appraisals, Evaluations, and Surveys
    RISK
    IMPACT_LOSS
    CHANGE_NEED
    The values can be dummy values (i.e. just the name and the validity dates) or, if using Risk, it can be a VB object from the appropriate Talent Assessment form(s).

    For performance (and potential if assessed in the performance assessment) the value will be written to HRP7409 if the follow-up enhancement has been added to your performance template. See my reply to your thread below with details of that:

    If you have already added the enhancement and you do not see the data in HRP7409 then check that you are using the Final Appraisal field in your performance template.
    The Calibration Grid reads the data from HRP7408 and HRP7409 instead of from the performance and potential templates.

  • Talent Management Grid

    Hello Experts,
    We are currently implementing Talent Managment Ehp6 and Nakisa 4.0.  I have a couple of questions
    1) I've researched several SCN posts and blogs about how the Performance/Potential grid has to be a 5,6,9 or 15 box grid and that the values (scales) used in performance must also be used in the talent mgmt grid. When we implemented Performance Management (Ehp4) we used a 20 value scale (1-5 with .25 gradients in between). I would just like to clarify that with everything I have read the Grid in Talent Mgmt and Nakisa will not support this large of a scale. That there isn't any BADI or Enhancement that we can use? It seems like we will have to reduce our scale in Performance to be able to use it in Talent Management/Nakisa. Is that correct?
    2) I'm a bit confused about the Writeback functionality with Talent Management and Nakisa. I understand that the Talent Mgmt has their own infotypes (i.e. Potential and Performance) and a Manager or TMS can change the potential/performance in the grid during a Talent Meeting. I'm trying to understand how Talent Mgmt updates Nakisa when these ratings get changed? Or does the TMS and Manager have to change the ratings in both places since Nakisa also uses a grid? Also what happens when you move from a performance template in one year to a performance tempalte in the next year? Does the data save or does it get replaced?
    Any assistance or clarification would be much appreciated

    Thank you for taking the time to reply to my questions, I appreciate it.
    In regards to the peformance scale we didn't go the PMP route, we went with the Flexible.  When I go to the template in the appraisal catalog and try to add the Follow-up BAdI under the enhancement tab it gives me the information below :
    "Note
    Do not use the BAdI implementation for appraisal templates that you created using the transaction Appraisal Template Catalog (PHAP_CATALOG).
    After you have completed an appraisal, the system copies the potential value and performance value to the Potential (7408) and Performance (7409) infotypes that are relevant for the talent review meeting.
    The BAdI implementation can only be implemented with an appraisal template of type Performance Management that was created in the Customizing activity Configure Form for Performance Management Process since the appraisal values of the potential assessment and performance assessment are expected to be in certain places in the appraisal template or appraisal document."
    Reading this I took this note to mean that if we created a Flexible Appraisal Template that I create via PHAP_CATALOG_PA that I could not use these follow-up BAdIs.  That you can only use this follow-up BAdI if you created a form/template using the PMP process.
    Am I understanding this correctly? Can you not use the Calibration Grid if you created a template in the catalog using the Flexible templates? In our performance appraisal we don't use the "Final Appraisal" column for our final performance rating. We created a custom column that stores the final rating.

    Hi again.
    I have a desire to create a calibration grid for my images captured with IMAQ methods from Measurement Studio.
    I already take measurements and such based on a calibrated Grid from a .jpg. But now I am interested in allowing my user to create a calibration grid on the fly based on selecting points in a template image and supplying real world values.
    The manual section 6 on grid calibration makes some reference to the CWIMAQVision.LearnCalibrationPoints method. But little information is supplied.  Does NI have a sample of a "Create your grid from points" sort of idea?
    As I would also like to be able to define this grid with points, and then put a perspective on it.
    Looks like it should be able to be achieved.

  • Calibration Grid error

    Hi guys,
    I am trying to run my calibration grid but am getting the following 2 errors:
    1. The filter configuration SAP_GRID_FILTER does not exist
    2. No BAdI implementation active for the category
    (see attached)
    I have looked around in config but haven't found anything useful. Any ideas to what this might be?

    You can configure the calibration grid exactly as you described with the labels that you mentioned in the view:
    sm30: HRTMC_VC_GRID
    you just need to make sure that your performance mgmt and potential assessment processes use a 3 pt value scale and that those values get transferred to HRP7409 / HRP7408, respectively.

  • Issues in career and succession planning in talent mangement

    We are configuring career and succession planning on EHP5, but observing following issues like I'm getting errors when running the calibration grid in Talent Assessment.

    Also in MSS, i am not finding any separate tab for career and succession planning. Please provide guidance where to find those also.

  • Is it possible to configure Team calibration for Objective Setting Appraisals in EHP7

    Hi Friends,
    We are on EHP7. We have implemented objective setting appraisal for our client.
    We have created an appraisal template under category group "Personnel appraisals". We have configured the VA, VB, VC, Column ids.  Status tab flow is used from In preparation - Completed.
    The enhancements are used to accommodate customer specific calculations for the scores based on the final ratings.
    An additional requirement from the client is; once the appraisal process is over for a team; the team manager should be able to see the scores of his direct reportees in the MSS.
    1) He should be given a provision to modify the final rating score; incase if he finds that one of the team members deserve a better score in line with the comparison of other team members. He should be able to call the template and be able to revise the final ratings from his MSS directly.
    2) When he modifies the final ratings by calling the appraisal template on the MSS; that new score should be stored in the appraisal template (database tables); that is; this should overwrite the final scores which was initially calculated during the final appraisal discussion between the apprasier and appraisee. This new values should be taken for all reporting or new compensation revision process.
    Should this requirement be addressed by Assessment of Employees and Calibration Process for Employee Assessments standard configurations?
    If that is the option; I have already done these settings for flexible performance appraisal.
    But in the MSS > under Talent Management > Assessment
    We are getting a blank screen in the "In process & Completed " tabs. No employee is listed.
    The calibration grid is empty. But under under talent profile; we are able to see the names of the team members.
    Is there any other method available for this purpose ?

    For every paying company code you can have multiple sending company codes.
    You can make this configuration in FBZP > Paying company codes tab.
    Once in 'Paying company codes', here click on 'Company codes' button on top right.
    This means you will need all the FBZP setup for your paying company code only.

    We are in ECC 6.0 EHP5 SP26. We are implementing Talent Management currently. We have already configured the calibration grid, but the grid is not showing in EP.
    We have activated the business function and business package required :

    Assign Talent Groups to the Boxes of the Calibration Grid - I have all of my talent groups assigned to the grid.
    Define Follow-Up Activities for Talent Review Meetings - the standard is populated with the following :
    SAP_PERFORMANCE - Update of Performance Document
    SAP_PERFORMANCE_POTENTIAL - Update of Performance Document and Potential Document
    SAP_POTENTIAL - Update of Potential Document
    SAP_TALENT_GROUP - Approval/Rejection of Talent Group Nominations
    BAdI: Activities When Approving Talents in Calibration Grid - HRTMC_RM_CONFIRM_ACTIVITIES is active
    BAdI: Follow-Up Activities of Talent Review Meetings - HRTMC_RM_FOLLOWUP_TALENT_GROUP - is active
    HRTMC_RM_FOLLOWUP_PERF_POT - is not active and in the Active (Impl) the check box is checked but greyed out.  We do not want the appraisal to be updated.

    In talent group, I have nominated some employees under a manager. Then during the creation of the Talent Review Meeting, when I add the manager as the participant, I do not see the nominees under the manager which I nominated earlier.

  • Talent Group Nominations

    Hello Experts,
    Have a question regarding the talent group nominations in the assessments vs the Talent Review Meetings (Talent Mgmt and Development Ehp6).
    Via MSS an employee is nominated for a Talent Group "Developer"- stauts shows as Developer (Nominated)
    Talent Review Meeting is set up where the talent is placed in the calibration grid based on PMP/POT scores.
    Talent is moved in the grid to a Critical Talent and the "Save" button is hit and the Approve button is hit. - The icon changed from the Nominated Icon to the "Approved Icon" however when you click on the details the status still says "Nominated".
    The TRM status is changed to "Complete".  The PMP/POT values update however the Talent Group for the TMS (Talent Information) still shows Nominated.  In MSS Talent Info in the Talent Group by the employee it says "Nominated" however in the Talent Overview detail under the employee name the status still says "Nominated".
    When does the talent group nomination from the TRM get displayed to the "Approved" status?  I know that the TMS can approve Talent Group nominations under the Talent Group functionality however I have the follow-up activity HRTMC_RM_FOLLOWUP_TALENT_GROUP where the
    it is supposed to provide the columns Talent Group and Status for the follow-up list and activates the relevant pushbutton however those pushbuttons aren't appearing on the follow-up tab.
    Any clarification would be helpful !

  • Talent Profile "More" Links

    Has anyone had experience of configuring the "More" link on a talent profile page?
    I can configure "More" links to go to detailed functions when the Talent Profile region is a seeded one. But, when I create a custom region, such as an EIT or custom, I cannot see how to achieve this.
    The method to use is to configure a subfunction called HR_TP_MGR_MORE_LINK and map the region name to the destination function.
    e.g. pTPMCMPETNCY=HR_COMPETENCE_PROFILE_SS - in this example TPMCMPETNCY is the region name and HR_COMPETENCE_PROFILE_SS is the destination function.
    But, how do you find out the region name for a user defined region??
    Any ideas anyone?

    We have managed to get the Potential values. The issue was the analysis period parameter was specified incorrectly in 'Define Group of Analysis Periods to Be Used'
    We are still having a problem with Competency and Performance. Competency show us no values. Perfromance brings the dates through but does not show the value and the slider. We are going to debug today to see what the issue might be.
    Luke just wanted to find out, can a Quantity scale be used on the Calibration grid for performance. We are using a quantity scale for performance. However when configuring the calibration grid using the combination of the potential value and perfromnace value, i get an error 'No Values Found' when i click on the serch help to choos the perfromance value. If i try to enter the value manually i get the error, Entry does not exist in T77SP.

  • Stereo vision calibration failed

    Hi guys,
    I'm using the Calibrate stereo vision.vi (NI Vision development module 2013) to calibrate my stereo vision system but I failed and I don't know why. My experimental setup is as follows:
    2 aviator 1600gc cameras, with 16mm focal lenses and a baseline of 1 cm;
    a calibration grid of 16*16 dots (dx=dy=4 cm), at a distance of 2 meters;
    2 light projector of 500 W.
    I followed the VI instructions and made a lot of trials for 2 days, but i never succedeed in calibration. More specific, in the grid coverage control i always obtain NaN %, as showed in the picture in the attachment.
    In continued to acquire images as long as all gride coverage control below are all to 100% but the VI doesn't proceed into grid vertex calibration.
    Can someone help me?

    I got exactly the same problem! I hope it's okay posting in this topic.
    I followed the instructions on http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/370281U-01/imaqvision/stereo_vision_example/ but my top grid coverage just won't show any values.
    The grid is from the NI folder, so actually it should  be okay.
    cams: 2x DMK 23F618 from ImagingSource
    lenses: 2x 8mm F1.2
    Furthermore, at most attempts I won't even get any values at all.
    Even if all points are detected it won't show any values. This mostly happens when I use external light sources (tried it with infrared and a common 20W halogen lamp running on DC)

  • Interrupted Capture of MiniDV video, CS5.5.

    I am a CS5.5 user and am having a video capture issue.  The capture randomly stops and starts during video capture(MiniDV).  The VRC keeps playing so there are missing areas in the captured video.  I have tried all the basic things, such as, restarts
