Talent Management & Other Modules of HR
Hi Experts,
What is the significance of Talent what special areas to be captured.
Is Talanemt Management only a combination of Personnel Dev,Training & Dev,Succession planning being in
E-recruitment or Its a different module altogether.
if a client all has Performance Management, T&D,Appraisal then talaent Management implementation is going to be ontop of this or its a different module which needs diferent configuration.
Please guide.
Hi Luke,
1/ Would like to requset you to provide me which are the powerful modules in SF Talent Mangement those are stronger than the conventional ECC that i can suggesst to the client.
2/ What are the major differences in SF Talent Mgmt & LSO.
3 How effective is SF recruitment comparing to SAP E-rec.
3/ To have SF Talent Mgmt which modules the client has to go for in SF.
4/ What are the licensing cost involved in SF Talent Management & LSO.
As i said at 1st it would be OM,PA,TM,PY & ESS/MSS on premise ECC 6/7.
If you could provide me some link for reference along with 1liner answers then that would really help me in understanding.
Please guide me.

Also i am being a functional consultant how to start with and will learning Nakisa help me. Also for learning Nakisa does we require technical knowledge or functional part is enough? Pls help me to understand where and how to start with in the areas of Using Nakisa for SAP HCM module
Hope for the inputs

VijayHi Vijay,
For information on the Business Package for Talent Management Portal role see here:
for information on Talent Management and Talent Developlent see here:
For SVSN there are no guides available. To see a functional overview of functionality you can watch one of the videos on the Nakisa YouTube channel:
My approach towards learning about SVSN is to start with the functional features of each application. Then I would then learn the technical side of the application so you are aware of the configuration and customizing capabilities - this is important to be able to blueprint a suitable solution for your clients. It is worth taking a technical training course with Nakisa as these show the functional and technical aspects of the applications and focus on SP1. The information you get here cannot be obtained elsewhere. Then you just need lots of time to study the application and, most importantly, do some implementations! You can also work with Nakisa on implementations to begin to gather some knowledge.
Good luck!

Moderator message: not directly related to ABAP development, please don't ask for documents, search for available information.
Edited by: Thomas Zloch on Apr 6, 2011 1:10 PMHi Mohammad,
I moved your thread to the correct forum. I am assuming that you are referring to STVN SuccessionPlanning.
Basically, Nakisa is not versus SAP Talent Management but is part of SAP Talent Management. STVN SuccessionPlanning is SAP's solution for succession planning and is part of their portal-based application strategy. Without this you will have to do succession planning activities in the backend and will also not have functionalities such as 9-box grid and profile match.

We are implementing SSHR Talent Management for our client. Client using Global HRMS.
I have read the doc of Talent management and found some workbook reports such as Appraisal Detail Workbook and Competence Updates after Appraisal Workbook. I think we can use these reports by using HRMS Intelligence. Is it correct? We didn't setup HRMSi yet.
Also the client needs the following reports related to this module. Since I don't know the columns of the above workbooks, I am unable to decide whether the following reports are come under standard one or need customization.
So please advice.
Appraisal Status by Employee-wise
Appraisal Competencies & Development Plan
Appraisal Competencies Count by Grade
Appraisal Report by Competencies
Appraisal Overall Ratings
Appraisal Rating by Employee-wise
Appraisal Status – Total Counts
Probation Appraisal Report
Disagreed Appraisal Report
Performance Planning Status Report
Planning Status by Department-wise
Planning Status - Detailed
Thanks in advance." have read the doc of Talent management and found some workbook reports such as Appraisal Detail Workbook and Competence Updates after Appraisal Workbook. I think we can use these reports by using HRMS Intelligence. Is it correct? We didn't setup HRMSi yet."
Yes you need seperate license to run the HR intelligence reportsI would say run the workbook reports in a development instance or in your vision instance and do the gap analysis. -
Talent Management in OBIA 7.9.6 - HR Analytics
Hi all,
I am aware that OBIA 7.9.6 HR Anayltics module has a few dashboards for Talent Management but I am not sure what those dashboards/reports are.
I can see Performance Management / Workforce Profile/ Absence / Retention.
Also I observe that " Workforce Development " dashboard description says that it is key talent management initiative. Is that all?
Please help me as I am completely new to OBIA.
Thanks.

Hi all
Can anyone please help me with a documentation link of Oracle Performance(Talent) Management? I am totally new to this module.
Thanks in advanceSearch MetaLink for a document called Talent Management Supplement_. Metalink document id 302541.1
This contains all the information you will need to implement Talent (Performance) Management. Well, not everything, because it won't explain all the bugs! But, I'm sure you can come back to the forum for more help.

Regarding Talent Management Infotypes !!!
Hi Seniors,
As,I am assigned to work on career and succession planning module... I would like to know about the info types 7400, 7410, 7402, 7403 .... etc.
When to maintain these info types ?
Where to maintain info types?
How to see these info types?
Pls suggest
Regards,
RituHi Ritu,
The Portal is for the following applications:
Talent Profile for Employees
Talent Profile for Managers and Talent Management Specialists
Talent Review Meetings
Talent Groups
Corporate Goals and Values
Talent Assessment
None of these processes can be managed in the SAP R/3 system. Therefore it is not possible to have a holistic end-to-end succession management process, since you can only manage succession planning of positions.
For your search issue, have you installed and configured TREX? See this blog for information:

Related to Talent Management Data to be Captured
Hi,
Im new to Talent Management.I was going through the steps in SPRO. In Succession planning,we have Qualifications,Work Experience and Education details that are to be captured. And the same Fields related to Candidate and Requisition is Captured in Erec----->TalentWarehouse--->Candidate,Requisition(Spro path).I wanted to know why these fields are to be maintained multiple times. Is it because there are not integrated with other,or any other reason.Pls help me out in this
RegardsHi,
before EHP4 Succession Planning was part of e-recruiting. With EHP4 succession planning/Talent management is a separate module. If you use Talent Management you do not have to maintain talent data in SPRO path for e-recruiting. Please do it under Talent Management for internal employees ( not for candidates)

Use Core HR V11i with Talent Management V12
Hi,
We use the product Core HR V11i.5 and Oracle Payroll 11i.5.
Now, we want to use Oracle talent management, so we will put some oracle modules like : iRecruitment, Learning Management, Performance management...
Is it possible to integrate talent Management modules in V12 with the core HR v11i.5.
And how can we do that ??Hi,
You mean write an Enhancement in the Web Dynpro ABAP application (which is not trivial - to me at least - since it relies on FPM) ?
Another idea I got is to set an handler on the ICF service for Web Dynpro ABAP application HRTMC_EMPLOYEE_PROFILE so that the ABAP Proxy is called first and a call to the super Handler (Web Dynpro) is done after.

Issue in EHP5 Talent Management (Team Goals) Cascade goals functionality
Hi Friends,
Issue in EHP5 Talent Management (Team Goals) Cascade goals functionality.
Under Team Object While try to cascade goals, it pop-Up Warning Msg u201CChoose Save to save the goal in the employee document. The goal can no longer be deleted, only set to obsoleteu201D.
If we click Ok to proceed further, I am getting error stating u201CYou have made no selection" and " No appraisal template defined ".
Same functionality is working fine in u201CPerformance Management (Predefined)u201D
With Regards
Seranjeeve KumarPlease set the parameter PROCESS "PMP" in the iview configuration.
ie
ROLE_ID=PA&PROCESS=PMP in application parameters
content provided by SAP ->
specialist ->
Talent management Specialist ->
iViews ->
COmpany goals etc
and you can confirm using this
CL_HAP_CASCADE_GOALS > meth0d GET_VALID_APPRAISAL_TEMPLATES
The parameter mentioned in the note 1457057, the one that you enter in
transaction SE80 is the default value. However, if you call application
with parameter PROCESS=PMP then the PMP process for cascading goals will
be used.
