Talk to me like I'm 5: Where are my Pages documents?

My gadgets and versions:
iMac 10.9.5 Mavericks, running Pages 5.2.2
iOS on phone and iPad 8.1.2, running Pages 2.5.2.
I was using Pages in iOS 7 on my iPhone 4 and iPad and had no problem seeing all my documents on all my gadgets.
When iOS 8 arrived on my new phone and iPad and all those messages about iCloud Drive started appearing, I did NOT jump to iCloud Drive because I have not yet upgraded to Yosemite.
Here are my questions:
1.  I can only see all my Pages documents in iCloud while at my iMac. I canNOT see any of them on my iGadgets. I can NOT see them when I sign in to icloud.com. Is there a remedy so that I can access the documents on my iPad besides upgrading the iMac to Yosemite? (I'm not averse to doing so. I just don't have time to do it right now.)
Follow-up question: will upgrading the iMac to Yosemite solve the problem of not seeing any Pages documents on the iGadgets? OR do I have to jump into iCloud Drive in order to see all my documents on all my devices?
2. I have read a few horror stories about folks losing all their Pages documents after upgrading to Yosemite. I don't understand them but, of course, now I think that will happen to me. So: Should I attempt to grab copies of my Pages documents from iCloud before I upgrade? If so, how would I do this? Duplicate or Move to makes sense. Is there another option?
3. Is there something I can do in order to see these documents on my iPad right now? I am relieved the documents are in iCloud but I need to be a bit portable and see them on an iOS device.
Thanks

I am going to switch to my cynical mode here.
According to some posters, you should switch to Yosemite, turn on iCloud Drive and then when the inevitable #$%@ hits the fan it will be all your fault.

  • Where are the page comments stored?

    Hello,
does anybody know where are the page comments are stored?
I searched the view APEX_APPLICATION_PAGES, but I can`t find them.
I hope you can give me a hint!
    Thank you,
    Tim

    Hey Scott,
    thanks for your quick answer!
In the table wwv_flow_app_comments is only one entrs, and that is a comment of a HTML Region!
So the comments of the pages, which i put into the comment text field in the page detail are not there!
    What is wrong?
Is there a reason why there are a few for the regions, items, processes and so on, but not for pages?
It is a little bit confusing...
    Thank you,
    Tim

  • Where are portal pages stoered (in db/ file/...?)

    hi,
I want to change the LAF of my portal htm pages.
i want to change the buttons to customized ones.
where are html pages stored (in db/files/...),
i want to edit the html (or jsp) sources.
    thanx in advance
    farbod m.

Portal pages are assambled dynamically, you don't find them in the database or file system. You can control the LAF of your page through page styles. Alternatively, you can extend or overwrite the default portal styles using HTML (aka User Interface or UI) templates. You find information about styles and templates in the Portal documentation and online help.

  • Pages to ePub... why so difficult? where are my page breaks?

So my book is at the editors and I wanted to start to look into publishing to iBooks. So from pages I exported to ePub and the final book looked terrible. So I went through all the forums and I have got to say that there is no step by step guide to accomplish this. So I put it out there to see if someone can help.
My book is all text, it has 18 chapters and countless page breaks. How can I make the ePub look and work like my pages? Lets start simple no HTML or PDF.
    1. Should I open up a new pages document and set it up a certain way then copy paste from my original pages to this new pages. If so how should this be set up?
    2. Is there a font that I should write in that will not make ePub bonkers
    3. Page breaks... how do I keep these when exporting to ePub?
    4. the Apple template to Export to ePub... I just don't understand how to use this... is there a step by step guide?
Lastly, I was very surprised this is so difficult to accomplish... sure Apple makes it simple to export to ePub but the final product is nothing like what I have in pages... so is there a program that I can use where tweaking is not nessesary?
Thanks to all for any help!

    Thanks Tom,
I did jump on this but I don't know what I am doing wrong. I figured that there could be a set up (when you start a new pages project) one can do before starting a project with pages so exporting to ePub can be seemless (choosing the right fonts etc.) I followed the instructions but the chapters never show up in the table of contents before I export. I have used both page break and section break and started with chapter name (i write in my own chapter name in the same font still does not show up.
And don't get me started on page breaks! when I cant even get my chapters to start on a new page! BTW I export to itunes then use iBooks...
A step by step youtube video guide would be nice... all I have found is this:
    http://www6.district125.k12.il.us/staffdev/tutorial/using_pages_to_create_epub_f iles.pdf
And I follow it but I must be doing something wrong...
Do you have a suggestion on chapter and page breaks?

  • Where are the actual documents stored in solution manager (KW)?

    Hello,
I have a question regarding Solution Manager and storing documentation.
When we in our process structure in a project uploads a word document
(as documentation), where are the file then physically stored?
I have checked the table SA01PHIO (a KW table), here I see a new entry every time I
upload a new word document (or other type of documentation). But this
table does not grow accordingly to the size of the word documents I
upload, so the physical document must be stored somewhere else in the
    database.
The description of field 'PHIO_ID' in table SA01PHIO is "Physical document", but since the field is of type char (size 32), then it can only be a link to the actual file?
We need to know where the documents are stored, so that we can plan our
storage strategy and database space management accordingly.
Anyone knows where the files are stored in the database?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards

    Samuli,
    Thank you for your help.
After further searches, I have found exactly what I was looking for.
Samuli, as you said, documents are stored in table SACONT01, but I did not understand how they were stored, as all the data you have in this table is something like:
    FF06010102028000343130320000000074040000121F9D02A37D7259692086C2F0D7761017222...
So the information can be benefit to other people searching, I will share it here.
The string of alpha-numeric characters you see above is a "part" of the document.
Document data is cut into clusters, and stored in table SACONT01 (in field CLUSTD, coupled with CLUSTR).
In order to retrieve all the clusters for a given document, you need to get its logical ID (LOIO - LOgical Information on Object):
    - Select the document (SOLAR01/02 for projects, SOLMAN_DIRECTORY for solutions)
    - Enter DOC_INFO in the transaction code field
    - Copy the Object ID
In table SA01PHIO, retrieve the physical id(s) from the logical id (PHIO - PHysical Information on Object).
Search SACONT01 with the physical id(s).
    Just as an example:
    - 340 entries for a Word document (about 50 pages)
    - 57000 entries for a video (200 MB)
    Hope it will help.
    Regards,
    Rémi.

  • Where are the page backgrounds?

I wish to change the look of a page background color in photoshop. Where are the backgrounds that are used by iWeb? I am trying to change: Freestyle/about me tan background.

Find the iWeb application icon in your Applications folder. Control-click on it and select "Show Package Contents". Then open up /Contents/Resources/English.lproj/Templates/About Me/. You'll see another package file called "Freestyle About Me.webtemplate". Control-click on it and select "Show Package Contents". You should see aliases to all the elements for that template there.
Just be careful with all this stuff. Keep backups of whatever files you alter, just in case. Make sure not to change any names or file formats, or else iWeb may not be able to find them.

  • Where are iWeb pages stored/saved?

Hi all. I'm building my first website using iweb. there is one (of only 3 so far) page that is apparently corrupted. whenever i click on that page name in the sidebar, iweb crashes, so i can't delete it using the edit/delete page dialogue.
if i can find where my iweb pages are saved, i'll just go there and then drag the page to the trash....
    thanks

The pages do not exist until you publish them. The elements that comprise the pages are stored in the Domain.sites2 file/package that's located in your User/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder.
Are there any messages in the Console regarding iWeb that might indicate what's causing the problem.
Aside from the above you can try the following: create a new site and drag the two working pages to it. Then click on the first site's folder icon and see if you can delete the entire site. If that works then all you need to do is recreate that one page.
Also be sure to make a backup of the domain file frequently. Saves a lot of rebuilding in case something goes south in that domain file.

  • Where are my pages? WWV_FLOW_STEP_ITEMS?

We now have 50 pages. On some pages I have put some javascript code, that I would like to move to a general Javascript file that can be references from all pages. That means that I have to go through all my pages looking for javascript bits in the page attributes and in the regions. I would love to do a select through the flows tables and that way find out on where my javascript is. Any body got a clue? I have found some of my pages in WWV_FLOW_STEP_ITEMS but not all? I have written some dynamic sql that looks through all clob and varchar2 columns on all tables in the flows schema but that did not reveal it all 

Peter - In the Application Builder find the link to Application Reports. Some of those reports let you search for strings in page headers/footers, regions, etc., for all pages in the application.

  • Where are the page lists stored?

Ok I did search, but frankly I think the search on this site is horrible. If its already been answered 50 times, yell at me.
I want to build a tree menu on my homepage that is a navigation throughout the site. Sort of like the example from OTN http://www.oracle.com/technology/oramag/oracle/06-may/o36apex.html. But I want to make it much less complex.
My intention is to build a really simple form where the Admin select a page number, parent page number, and chooses a title. Behind the scenes the URL gets built using the page number. So when you query from my navigation table, everything will fall in line.
So my question is this - I know the page numbers are stored somewhere because Apex has LOV's up the wazoo with this functionality already. Can someone either give me the query used, or provide me with a table where I can find this? I tried to login to Vikas's workspace today, but it seems all but 2 of his applications are gone now, so I can't look at the Apex Builder Application =(
    Thanks!
EDIT - I realize you are all going to say this is just re-building the functionality of a List - and it is to some degree. I just want to challenge myself to build it in my own app for my own knowledge.

Welp after much digging I found it - WWV_FLOW_STEPS but since its not granted to users on the Oracle site, I will skip this idea. I may try it on my own box to see how it will come out.

  • In snow leopard where are the pages

When I went to get my laptop cleaned up at apple they told me that pages and like the version of excel, but I have not been able to find it. Can someone help me ?

The App Store version of iWork ‘09 programs (Pages, Numbers & Keynote) will only work with 10.7 or 10.8 with the latest update requiring 10.9. You can get the Work ’09 DVD which will run on 10.6  on eBay or Amazon.com fairly cheap. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p4684.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0&_nkw=iwork+%270 9&_sacat=0&_from=R40

Using Pages on my iPad, I save to iTunes to share it with my iMac.  After download I cannot find the documents in my iMac.  Not in Pages, not in iTunes, so where do they go?

Until Apple updates the desktop versions of the iWork apps you have to use iCloud.com in a web browser or iTunes to sync files. You could also try e-mail or DropBox.

  • Where are my pages in Map View?

    Hi,
I am somewhat of a newbie as far as DW is concerned. I have
created my first site using Flash CS3, and although there are over
20 pages, when I look at the Map View in DW CS3 all is see is the
index.html page, with the home.html page staggered off of it, and
    no other pages.
I am unsure as to whether this will effect search engine
results. Is it important that this Map View be sorted out, and if
so, any ideas where I have went wrong?
    Thank you in advance.
    Hugh

You have just empirically discovered one of the major
    disadvantages to
building an all-flash site. The links cannot be found. Search
    engines have
the same problem. This means that in the absence of
    redundant, HTML only,
links, your site will not be indexed by search engines, and
    will be totally
inaccessible to those using any screen assistive devices, as
    well as to
those who choose not to install the Flash player for whatever
    reason.
Thus - what you see in the Map view is all you will ever see
    on an all-Flash
    site without this redundant navigation.
