Talking to jcwde from Open Card

Hi all!
Is it possible to talk to jcwde or to C-JCRE from the Open Card Framework? Is there a CardTerminal for this?

A C-JCRE compatible CardTerminal is available
for download on the Gemplus Developers Web Site, at:
http://www.gemplus.fr/developers/technologies/opencard/cardterminals/apduio/download.html
It looks like it should be compatible with JCWDE. Sources are included.

  • How to upload photos from memory card to computer on new Officejet 8500A Plus?

I recently replaced an older HP psc 2410 photosmart printer with a new Officejet Pro 8500A Plus printer.  The installation went fine without error messages, and it prints, scans and copies just fine.  When I insert a memory card into the slot, the printer itself recognizes the files and displays them on the LCD screen and offers to print them.  BUT ... what I want to do is upload the files to my PC (running Windows XP), and I can't figure out how to do it!  There is no HP program that pops up and offers to transfer the photos like with my old printer.   I was also expecting to see the card slots shown as a removeable drive like I did with my old printer, but I don't see them.  Also, my Photoshop Elements program doesn't recognize the card slots either.
Then it dawned on me that my computer doesn't "see" the card slots because it's not connected directly to the printer!  I set this up as a wireless printer and I am totally new to this, so pardon if this is a dumb question... but is there no way to transfer files from the card slot to the PC in a wireless setup??  I'm totally confused...
    This question was solved.

    Hi,
If your printer is connected thru network or wireless network, you have to access it thru the IP address.
Find out the IP address of the printer. You can do this by clicking on the network icon on the front panel of your printer.
Open Windows explorer and type \\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the ip address of the printer.
You'll see the memory card slot there.
You can do a "map network drive" to it if you want your printer card slot to be listed there permanently.

  • How Can I Delete Originals I Don't Care to Keep When Importing From SD Card?

    Hi All,
Just installed LR3 thanks to Santa. Have been going thru the video tutorials as well as the Lightroom_3_Help PDF and Lightroom-GettingStarted_Lo PDF but I can't figure out how to simply delete files from the gitgo when importing from SD Card or from my HDD (files already moved to HDD but not yet culled or imported into LR3). I was hoping I could, in LIBRARY, just r/c on a file that is plainly not worth keeping and just delete it so I dont have to do it later. Seems like I could, this way, be able to concentrate more on the shots requiring editing.
Also, need suggestions as to how I should import my files using DNG, Copy, Move, or Add. First off, I am not a working pro but am an occasional serious amateur. I'm picky and I like things to look good the first time and I like options.  The pix already on my HDD are in the PICTURES folder; those imported from SD card get moved to that PICTURES folder. I have, in the past, moved the processed verssions to a different DESTINATION folder - now I still have the originals and I have processed copies to post and share.
I understand that LR3 does ND editing but I assume that if I only keep a DNG then any time I want a JPEG or PNG of a picture I have to open LR3 to make one. Since I only have been shooting a few hundred pix a year (though with my new D5000 this will change) I am not gonna load up my HDD any time soon. So, is there a way I can make a DNG file, keep the original RAW or JPEG file AND save a processed JPEG or PNG copy in my DESTINATION folder in one swell foop?
    Thanks in advance,
    Phil in San Diego

The LR Exchange site has three plug-ins that allow you to keep a "mirror" copy of your DNG/RAW images in JPG format for use by others without having to go into LR and generate them when needed.  The link is:
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?searchfield=tree&search_exchange=25&search _category=-1&search_license=&search_rating=&search_platform=0&search_pubdate=&num=25&start num=1&event=search&sticky=true&sort=0&rnav_dummy_tmpfield=&Submit=
One of them should help you with this.

  • HD video from SD card (SDHC card) into iMovie?

    Hi,
It looks like others have had similar problems, but reading various replies, and being new to Mac and video editing, I can't seem to get the info I need.
While on holiday we bought a Sanyo xacti HD1010 camcorder/still camera. All data is on HC SD cards. When I try and transfer to the iMac, everything goes into iPhoto, the video clips with a green tint to them. I downloaded the latest QT which enables me to play the individual clips, and managed to import the clips to iMovie, but iMovie crashes each time i try and play a clip. Other clips, (not HD ones and from a standard SD card) play and edit fine.
Could someone please assist, as I have three 8GB cards to edit!
I'm also going to need some help installing a 500GB external hard drive to store everything. (We already have over 10 000 photos in iPhoto and about three hours of edited video waiting togo onto DVD)
    Many thanks,
    DH

    I have a similar Sanyo ..not your hi-def Xacti HD1010, but the more low-tech standard-def 'waterproof' VPC-CA8EX..
..which also records - like yours - in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264. But yours is proper hi-def AVCHD H.264.
I put my SDHC cards into a fast SDHC USB2 'Christallo' brand card reader, and import the video from there. The card reader shows on my Desktop as 'XACTI', and then when I start iMovie it automatically detects the 'camera' and starts reading the clips from the card and showing thumbnail images. When I click 'Import All' it whizzes through the clips, importing in a tiny fraction of 'real-time' ..about two seconds for a 1-minute clip.. finally reporting that it "..Imported 21 minutes and 44 seconds from 43 clips.." in less than a minute. Then it spends about 2 minutes generating actual thumbnails of these clips in iMovie '08.
(..It's generally, I find, faster to read a camera's, or camcorder's, images through a separate card reader than reading by connecting a camera to the Mac..)
So my clips don't go through iPhoto ..they're - automatically - imported straight into iMovie '08 on an Intel-powered Mac.
(..Ah, no; it's still churning through thumbnail-generation; that was an estimated 2 minutes for just the first day's clips ..but these clips are split over four separate days' shooting ..now it's finished.)
As you're using a similar codec (method of recording) - although in hi-def, with a wider screen format and a great number of pixels - your imports should, I think, behave similarly to mine, though importing may be slower, as you have more info in each 'frame' of video.
If I open iPhoto after connecting the card reader, iPhoto sees a device called 'Xacti', reads and displays all the photos and video clips, and when I click on 'Import' it briskly brings them all into iPhoto, without the time which iMovie spends generating video thumbnails afterwards.
None of the video clips have "..a green tint to them".
If I then start iMovie, I get the message "iMovie needs to generate thumbnails for the videos in your iPhoto library. This process may take several minutes. You can postpone this operation by clicking Later, but your iPhoto videos will be unavailable until the next time you restart iMovie". ..So there it goes, generating its video thumbnails. After one minute, it thinks that it's still going to take a further 7 minutes to do this..
(..Enough time for me to go and have breakfast all over again!..)
iMovie seizes up and becomes completely unresponsive while it's generating the thumbnails which it wants to display for the Xacti clips stored in iPhoto..
My setup is QuickTime Version 7.5.7 (249.30.1) ..also called Version 7.5.7 (995.26.2) and iMovie version ..well; I can't yet tell you what version (..but it's the latest..) because iMovie is unresponsive while it's creating these darned thumbnails! (..Oh; about another "5 minutes" to go.. this really is a slow way round; importing directly into iMovie in the first place, without using iPhoto, was -f-a-r- faster!..)
    Meanwhile, about your hard disc;
It ought to be a FireWire-connected disc, not a USB-connected disc, as USB is far slower for continuous data transfer - such as chunks of video while editing - than FireWire, despite what salespeople tell you in shops.
Assuming it's a FireWire disc, it's probably been pre-formatted for use with a PC, not a Mac, so you'll probably need to format it as 'Mac OS Extended' instead of 'PC Exchange - FAT32'. As it's large - 500GB - you'll probably also need to partition it.
Instead of writing out all over again how to do this, I'll just refer you to another thread - read all the way through, including the bits about 'Options' and choosing 'Apple Partition Map' or 'GUID' - here: http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=8542065#8542065
Ah, now: iMovie; "less than a minute" ..till thumbnails are complete. Yup, here they all are, and playing nicely. At last!
So; I can tell you what my Sanyo Xacti (standard-def, 4:3 shaped movies) does ..or rather, how importing works. So it should work just the same - I guess - with yours.
I don't have any conflicting codecs which I could have downloaded and which might interfere with iMovie - do you?
But I would guess that the crashing is more likely related to "..we seem to have used 295 so only 5 G left.." ..ANY Mac is going to have trouble if you're trying to handle hi-def and you've only 5GB of storage space left.
STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING and configure that external disc, and unload some of your 295GB files onto that to give your Mac at least 10% - i.e; 30GB - "breathing space"!
Then, with a properly-configured external FireWire disc, and 30GB space on your internal disc, try again. Oh, and you may find importing runs faster with a fast external card reader, and by starting up iMovie instead of iPhoto (..disable iPhoto's Preference marked under the 'General' tab "Connecting camera opens: "iPhoto" ..set it to "No application").

    Hi,
Are you talking about reading/copying photos from the card reader on your printer ? If yes, please use the following instructions to map the card reader to your network:
        http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&docname=c00149194
The simplest way is to put the SD card on your machine (If it had a card reader).

  • Moving files from Memory Card to Phone Memory on N...

    Hi everyone
i have put 8 small trimmed down MP3 files onto my Nokia N95, they are to be used for certain people on my CONTACT list
i sent them from my PC via Bluetooth to the N95 with no problems, they were then saved onto the 2GB Memory card
how do i then move each MP3 from the memory card to the actual phone memory, i take its best to do this as it takes longer to access the MP3`s when they are on the memory card to be used as ringtones?
or should i just leave the MP3`s on the memory card?
also, how do i select an MP3 and then assign it to ALL the individual contacts that i need to in 1 go instead of opening each contact and individually adding an MP3 to each one?
i have forgotten how to do it!
i reset my phone last night with the holding down of the Green, * and 3 buttons
i did this because my phone kept restarting about 3 - 4 times per day by itself, i dont have any applications on my phone or anything, not sure if its safe to put too many things onto the N95 internal memory, i dont wany anymore restarts!!Message Edited by waynester on 05-May-200702:44 PM

First of all if size of your mp3 was a concer then you should have used the Music Manager in PC Suite to convert them to aac as they would be super small in size.
Next use File Manager to move from the card to the phone. Better to sva eringtones on the phone or you would lose the 'link' everytime you take your card out.
Two ways to set the ringtone for everyone. First would be to set it in your profile. And the other would be to set it to Groups... and the last one, each contact at a time.

Is it (or will it be) possible to read pdf documents from SD card in Windows Phone 8?
    Thanks

Yes, it is possible. You can create even a folder on SD card and put in it the pdf's. It is working on my lumia 620 with Adobe reader 10.3 version.. You insert the SD in the phone, connect the phone to the computer and you will see the phone and the SD under it.
You drag your pdf's on the SD card. when you open the Adobe reader on the phone you go to the documents and here they are (with a small card icon near the document which shows you that the file is on the SD card.

I believe you will need to do that for EACH contact VCF file, you cannot import them en masse, the way you are doing this.

hello everyone. I have recently installed a Samsung SSD (solid state hard drive) into my destop PC. For some reason Lightroom does not see it ? So i cannot ingest photos from it, or copy photos from a card to it. It is not listed as a drive option. LR sees every other drive. My computer sees it fine, so i was able to create a catalogue there. Im running windows 8.1. Any ideas ? I will also add that this drive became corrupt and was repaired by Samsung. Maybe they didn't do a very good job.. ..

Yes pretty much that, but to clarify sorry
    Opened Lightroom.
    Create new catalogue.
This opened the Windows 8 file explorer window and Windows recognises the drive. So I was able to create a catalogue there and save.
I then inserted my memory card into my card reader which LR recognised. I selected it, chose all the photos within and then navigated to the right side of the Lr import dialogue window to locate this problem drive as on this occasion i want the RAW files on the same drive as the lrcat. However all my other drives are listed but not this Samsung SSD.
In addition this Samsung SSD is not listed a drive to import from in the same dialogue window.
