Talktalk: "You have undefined new mails in your inbox" can open mail thri internet explorer site
In Firefox Talktalk mail shows "You have undefined new mails in your inbox" and I can't access my in box - OK if i'm in Internet Explorer.
Apparently TalkTalk mail will work with Firefox 4 and Firefox 5 ''if'' you set the browser to ''lie'' to TalkTalk mail by saying that you are still using version 3.6.

Log in to email but then get above message and unable to operate my talktalk email.

I've been using the Firefox browser for nearly a year now but for the past three days I can't open my tiscali email account via Firefox. The message "you have undefined new mails in your inbox" comes up. Talk Talk technical help says there is a problem with Firefox and advised me to use Internet Explorer. I can get into my account through Explorer but would much prefer to use Firefox so please help me out.

Internet Explorer + Tiscali mail gives message "you have 3 new mails in your inbox (18% full)". Mail interaction OK
Firefox 5.0 (freshly installed) + Tiscali mail gives message "you have undefined new mails in your inbox''. From here I cannot proceed.
Is there a mail handler problem that causes Firefox 5.0 to fail?Yep, exactly the same problem only on W2K SP4. Firefox5 doesn't work but IE (on the same machine) does.
Sorry, I'm not sure what version version of IE is being used.
(It's the PC at work that has the problem and I'm writing this at home on my linux box which has Firefox version 3.6.18 for linux mint - which also works fine.)
I really hope this can be fixed soon.

I can open the account, but can't select any items to open. problem first started Friday, when the e-mail account would not stay open. Now will stay open but will not open e-mails or allow selection of tabs. contacted yahoo but they said it was a firefox issue due to the fact I can open e-mails using internet explorer.
says Yahoo!Mail, null currently.Thank you! I did all three of those things and it works now. I was using a bookmark for the att.net Mail page like you said. I think that's probably what the problem was. It used to work fine. Now I know.

When I try to download a spreadsheet, document, or other item from a website, using either run or save, everything freezes up and no download occurs. Or sometimes the item will download in a nonsense jumble of numbers and letters. The same thing happens when I try to download an e-mail attachment from someone. Thing is, I can do all these things from Internet Explorer without problems. This has only happened within the past couple of months. Before that, I had no problems . What's happening?

I can no longer watch Netflix on fire fox. I keep getting a message that Ineed the latest version of firefox. I have down loaded the lates version. I also have internet explorer and I can watch netflix on it. Why is fire fox telling me I need the latest version of flash drive when I have it?

It thinks there is no information there! If I revert to 3.6 how long will security be maintained. At the moment I am opening Mozilla for web browsing but IE for my email account. I am not very PC literate so need simple answers.

Syncing desired to Ipod when you have more MP3's that your Ipod can hold???
I have a 4GB ipod, which will hold roughly 1,000 tracks.
But I have about 1,250 songs on my Itunes, I would like to know how
I chose what songs go onto my Ipod without having to delete tracks as
my Ipod can only hold 1,000.
I tried un clicking tracks that I didnt want going on my ipod, yet keeping them
on my Itunes??? But it didnt seem to work or maybe Im doing it wrong??
Thanks guys!!Another method you can use to auto-sync your iPod with iTunes is "Sync Music - Selected Playlists". Syncing selected playlists is just like syncing your whole library only on a smaller scale and more "selectively". This is particularly useful when your library is larger than the capacity of your iPod. When your iPod is is set to sync selected playlists it automatically picks up any changes you made to that playlist in iTunes since you last connected. Anything you added to the playlist will be added to the iPod, anything you deleted from it will be deleted from the iPod. In other words the iTunes playlist and the iPod are kept "in sync".
Open iTunes and create a playlist to update your iPod from, call it -My iPod for example (the dash will position it at the top of the playlists in Sources). Drag whatever content you want to have into the playlist. Now connect your iPod and when it appears in the Source list click on the iPod icon to bring up the preference tabs in the main pane. Go to the Music tab and choose Sync Music and the Selected playlists radio button. Choose the playlist you just made from the selection and click Apply. You can also sync from any existing playlists by choosing the same setting, you just need to make sure that the size of the playlists don't exceed the capacity of your iPod: Syncing Music to iPod -
Downloaded update toi mFirewfox 4. ISP is Talktalk. Can open My mail and get to screen with inbox but page seems to stopp loading then as it doesa not show amount of space being used etc which it normally does. Instead message says 'You have undefined new mails in your inbox' Nothing then happens and the button to open the inbox does not work. Can however access my email and inbox through Outlook express. Contacted TalkTalk help line and after running some checks was told that the problem is with the browser. Canb anyone help solve this please.
Me too, problem is being googled alot by other tiscali users also.

system goes to talktalk website as normal,click on my mail,then on login,and up comes message you have undefined mails in your inbox.normally the message would say ,you have X No of new mails.No matter what I try I cannot gain access to my messages.If i use internet explorer i get my messages no problem
I found my own solution to this one after many more hours of frustration. I found that there was a toolbar applet installed in Internet Explorer that started its own private JVM, and that JVM was being seen by the plugin code for 1.3.1_07. Apparently there was some conflict between what the plugin code expected and what that private JVM (not sure what version it was, the code had no mention of it) had to offer, which caused the crash dialog. Uninstalling the toolbar (and its parent application) solved the problem. I may do further testing to see if there are any plugin versions that do work with this particular applet.
It is also still a mystery why this problem only cropped up after installing and uninstalling 1.4.x version of the plugin, but I didn't keep close track of the whole sequence so it may have been coincidental.

Having changed over to FF4, I cannot get into my tiscali email account to read emails. Whilst tiscali (talktalk) opens up it only tells me that I have undefined new emails. I can however still get access through Google but I prefer to use FF. Can you help.

There are a few restrictions when it comes to deauthorize all option. One of them is that there has to be at least 2 accounts signed in. As to your question, an Apple Store will give you 10% off of the purchase price on any new iPod when you recycle an old one (the iPod shuffle not included). They do not need the earphones nor any of the disks or packaging.

New computer but Photostream does not work. I am signed into my account but get the following message: In order to use Photo Stream, you have to be signed into your iCloud account in System Preferences. I go to system preferences and then get a message that says that my account cannot be accessed. However, I am using my icloud account for email and other items and it works fine. Any thoughts?
Are you getting this messages in iPhoto? If so try the following (again?):
Log out of iCloud in the System/iCloud preference pane and disable Photo Stream in iPhoto's Photo Share preference pane. Then log back in and re-enable, respectively. That should jump start Photo Stream.
