TAM 6.1 with IDM 6.0 SP1
I tried configurng TAM with IDM 6.0 SP1. This is the error i am getting
Resource adapter class 'com.waveset.adapter.AccessManagerResourceAdapter' could not be instantiated: com/tivoli/pd/jutil/PDException (Unsupported major.minor version 49.0)
The release notes for IDM do not show TAM 6.1 as compatible. Was wondering if anybody configured it successfully
Thanks,
I have another ? now on using NB 6.1 with IdM 8.0
Originally, I installed the NB with LocalFiles option, but have since used the run LH command, and setRepo ....
It did not seem to be permanent though, and in the course of a build I'm seeing
Starting internal database server ...
jdbc:hsqldb:hsql://127.0.0.1
Why ?
Also, I thought I would be able to open up a repo object (workflow or form) and then clone it, and start customizing the new object.
Under the IDM menu the 'Open Object' and 'Download Object(s)' menu options are greyed out. Alternatively I can try to browse, using the Identity Manager Palette, but I keep getting the 'Login' dialog box and even if I've done a build, I get the exception:
'May not login to the application Identity Manager prior to server initialization'.
I'm obviously doing something wrong.
Is there a way to do this correctly ?
TIA for your help, suggestions.

Sun IDM 6.0 SP1 installer
Hi,
Can someone tell me from where I can download Sun IDM 6.0 SP1? I was able to download 6.0 but I need SP1 to match with my customer environment.
Thanks!Ironically I can only seem to find the external/public link for SP2 at the moment:
https://cds.sun.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/WFS/CDS-CDS_SMI-Site/en_US/-/USD/ViewProductDetail-Start?ProductUUID=fJTACUFBTgUAAAEYLaU5AXoF&CatalogCategoryID=NnPACUFBO14AAAEYP2A5AXhV&JumpTo=OfferList
If you strictly need SP1 I can upload it manually for you. Please let me know.

Error while connecting HCM with IDM
HI SDN,
I am now working on connecting HCM (source system) with IDM by referring the document u201C [IDM for SAP System Landscape u2013 Configuration Guide|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/706065c4-3564-2a10-2382-a52fcbd7eefb]u201D .
In that I am following the HCM Use case implementation. I configured all the steps up to Exporting the HR data to Staging Area (Identity Store) via VDS by using a SQL query. If I say all the steps I followed it will take more time. so I request you to go through the mentioned document. While executing the report (RPLDAP_EXTRACT) getting some Runtime error. Here is the short dump of that error.
Short text
"Function SPLDAP_RECEIVE_ATTRIBUTES is not available"
What happened?
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "SAPLLDA_EXTRACTION" had to be terminated because it
has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
The error occurred during an RFC call to another system.
In the target system, a short dump has been written as well.
More detailed information on the error cause can be found there.
Error analysis
An error occurred when executing a REMOTE FUNCTION CALL.
It was logged under the name "RFC_EXTERNAL_ABORT"
I have that particular function module in my system and my RFC test connection is also success. so i am very much confused why i am getting that error?
can anbody help me in fixing this error?
/* points assured*/
Regards,
Tamil KTroy, did you ever figure out why you were getting the cannot modify object class error?
I was able to get around it by fiddling with the IDS config, but comparing that modified config against a new one (that gets the cannot modify object class error) I can't see any relevant difference...
I'd appreciate some guidance if you have overcome this.
Thanks. Des. -

Configuring WenSphere - SQL Server Datasource with IdM
Hi All -
I am trying to configure WebSphere (6.0) Datasource (for SQl Server2000) with IdM (7.0). and I am stuck at the step where we execute setRepo command to use the datasource. It was not able to find the WsnInitialContextfactory.class earlier. But then I explicitily added some of the jars (naming.jar, jcl.jar, bootstrap.jar etc) from %WAS_HOME%\lib to the CLASSPATH. It is executing now., but still looking for some more jars.
Has anyone done this before. if yes, can you please list the name of jars that need to be in classpath ?
ThanksHi,
In order to do this , all you need is a http server. Once you have installed the database, wether it is 10g or 9i, You can go to the configuration page and create a DAD( database access descriptor) which will point to the database. Next in order to access the pages created in oracle , your URL will be
http://yourhttpserver/dad/procedurename.
where dad is the name of the DAD you just created and procedure name is the pl/sql procedure which will have embedded html statements which uses the HTP package. -
Inet opta2000 XDatasource with WLS 6.0 sp1, please help
Hi,
I am using I-net Opta 2000 v2.05 JDBC XADriver with WLS 6.0 sp1.
I create a connection pool using com.inet.tds. XDatasouce. In
WLS startup script, I put in -Dweblogic.Debug=weblogic.JTAJDBC
debug switch. The output reports UnknownMethod datasourceName
exception. I attached stack trace at the end. I didn't create datasourceName.
the next thing I want to do is:
1) Create one CMP entity bean name cmpBean_1 using XA Pool one
connects with MS SQL Database DB1.
2) Create second CMP entity bean name cmpBean_2 using XA Pool
two connects with MS SQL Database DB2.
3) In a sessionless bean, I will do
ut = ctx.getUserTransaction();
ut.begin();
cmpBean_1.doSomething();
cmpBean_2.doSomething();
ut.commit();
Could I do like this?
Thanks in advance.

Maybe i can do it messing up with acoounts[$(RESOUCE_NAME)].identity in the reconciliation user form?, splitting the identity and then taking the ou name from there?
Any ideas?
Thanks!Hi,
I think i got this working to some extent, except the last part
I have the dn of the form for some users as:
uid=$accountId$,ou=xyz,ou=pqr,ou=abc,dc=home,dc=org
for someothers i have:
uid=accountid$, ou=mmm,ou=nnn,dc=home,dc=org
I have the put them under
Top:abc:pqr:xyz and Top:nnn:mmm respectively.
I have the followign code for this. however, there seems to be a problem and i'm not sure how to fix it
<Field name='ou1'>
<Expansion>
<remove>
<ref>accounts[Lighthouse].dn</ref>
<s>dc=home,dc=org</s>
</remove>
</Expansion>
</Field>
<Field name='split'>
<Expansion>
<split>
<ref>ou1</ref>
<s>,</s>
</split>
</Expansion>
</Field>
<Field name='org'>
<Expansion>
<contains>
<ref>split</ref>
<s>ou</s>
</contains>
<set name='org1'>
<ref>split</ref>
<i>2</i>
</set>
<set name='org2'>
<concat>
<ref>split</ref>
<i>3</i>
<s>:</s>
<ref>org1</ref>
</concat>
</set>
<set name='checknull'>
<ref>split</ref>
<i>4</i>
</set>
<set name='org3'>
<cond>
<notnull><ref>checknull</ref></notnull>
<concat>
<ref>split</ref>
<i>4</i>
<s>:</s>
<ref>org2</ref>
</concat>
</cond>
<ref>org2</ref>
</set>
</Expansion>
</Field>
<Field name='waveset.organization'>
<concat>
<s>Top:</s>
<ref>org</ref>
</concat>
</Field>

Integration of Oracle applications with IDM
Hi All,
Please trow some light on how do we integrate Oracle applications with Oracle IDM(Identity Management).
Is MRM capable of providing inbounding and outbounding webservices. If not do we have any adapters for integeating the other applications with IDM.
What is the good practice to integrate a BPEL service with IDM.
Thanks in advance.

securityagent name when using IBM TAM for SSO with Hyerion
Hi,
What should we declare in the css_config.xml file for the <securityagent>, when using IBM TAM for SSO with Hyperion.
The admin guide only mentions Netegrity, but that would be the case when we use Siteminder for SSO.
Any lights??
Thanks,
SasiWhile, seems one way is to use stream to bypass login.

NetBeans 6.1 with IdM v8.0, Build Failed
Admittedly, I'm a newbie to the NetBeans 6.1 environment, working with Idm 8.0
I installed NB, and created a new IdM project.
Then I chose 'Manage Embedded Repository' which let's you choose a directory.
Is this a repository of flat files ?
I am actually wanting to do a 'clone' of an OOTB object from the DB repo, but it seems you can only 'clone' from a customized object. It looks like creating a clone of an OOTB object, is going to require some manual copy and paste, etc.
To connect to a database repository, would I have to run LH setup ?
Can I do this after creating an IdM project ?
I actually did a build and run project previously and worked well, bringing up the admin interface in a browser. When I attempt build now, I get an error:
Preparing image for environment target: sandbox
Loading Identity Manager classes...
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/waveset/task/Monitor
at java.lang.Class.getDeclaredMethods0(Native Method)
I did a build before; What could be different ?
I originally pointed to the v8.0 idm.war but don't see 'Monitor' in the .war
I may have to just start over and create a new Project, but would rather resolve this.
Suggestions, tips welcome. TIA.I have another ? now on using NB 6.1 with IdM 8.0
Integration of PeopleSoft with IDM
Hi,
While configuring PeopleSoft with IDM running on TOMCAT, I am getting "PeopleSoft: com.waveset.util.WavesetException: com.waveset.util.WavesetException: DOWNbea.jolt.ServiceException: Invalid Session" exeception and in the tomcat console, it is asking for pstools.properties file? I am connecting remotely to Peoplesoft server. Can anyone advice me how to overcome this problem?You need a JAR file called psjoa.jar from your Peoplesoft support team. The JAR file contains all the pstools.properties file, as well as all the necessary classes for connecting to the Component Interface.

Integrate an existing SOA11g suite with IDM 11g
Hello gurus,
We need to install SOA 11g with Oracle Service Bus, Service Registry,BPEL Process Manager, Web service Manager. Along with this setup , we need to Configure Oracle integrated security framework to enable security and identity management policies to be defined centrally.
For this, do we need to install seperate SOA11g suite and configure, OSB, BAM, WSM etc and later integrate it with IDM? IDM would also need SOA for workflows, can we use the already configured SOA11g with IDM or we need to install a seperate SOA 11g for IDM's use?
Am a little confused with integrating SOA11g with IDM11g so any guidence would be very helpfull.

hai all,
Please let me know if during the installation of IDM 11g we can point to and use an existing deployment of the SOA or not? are we bound to use the SOA that is shipped with the IDM deployment media?
As it is mentioned in the oracle document that we can not use the SOA installed with IDM (bundled with IDM 11g) for any other application, it is exclusively for IDM. So can it be other way around that we can't use existing SOA for the IDM?
thanks....Nopes, I have this from good authority, as of now you cannot point OIM to an existing SOA but will have to use the same bundled with OIM and should be in same domain. -
