Tap Chat: Alt, Shift and Control cannot be mapped

Every time I try and map Alt or shift to the wow tap it always gives me an Alt +.
Has any one found a work around to make it just use just Alt ?
Or even better if there is a ETA on new drivers that will make this possible!

Is it seen as a bug that you can't map Control, Alt or Shift? and there will be an update to correct the problem?
Or is it not seen as a bug and will always be Alt + (another key)
I do think the wow tap chat information is a bit confusing, no where does it say that you can't use Control, Alt or Shift for push to talk.
"Map your push-to-talk key or favourite macro to the USB foot control pedal, keeping your hands free to have total control in the game."
My push to talk key is control.
I know it wouldn't take too long to change all my hot keys so I can use tap chat, but I do feel that the tap chat isn't working as advertised.
No hard feelings either way I have always used your sound cards and think they are great, would just like to know one way or an other then I can decide to send it back or not.

Both shifts and control appear to be stuck down

So my mother brought me a 2010 macbook air and said "Fix it" the problem was said to be "I can't type anything" after two hours of troubleshooting I figured out it was that both shifts and the control key seem to be stuck down but it doesn't "feel" hardware related to me, and nothing supports it being hardware. The people who own it were just messing around changing settings not knowing what they were doing. Also I set all of the modifier keys to no action and it still happens.
Actual question: Any ideas if anything software related could cause both shift keys and the control key to be pressed down?

I am sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Please bring the machine online. On the Sign-In screen choose to sign in now using the Adobe ID or try you can Serialize it using your Serial number. Acrobat will launch successfully.

here is the issue
my users remote control a terminal services farm, now when they changing language to English some time it change to English Upper Case and caps lock is off ! then the Alt + Shift and the go back to English lower case and if they just play with
this (i mean they just use Alt Shift over and over to try to get back to normal state when you hold shift and alt and you change to English and back to Hebrew if you hold the alt shift one more time )
i tonic some thing strange ifi hold down first the alt and then the shift this issue happen more often

here is how the normal setting should be
Alt + shift need to change to lower case English
then Alt shift one more time will go back to Hebrew
now if you hit on the caps lock you will be in English all the time with Upper Case

WoW SB Tap Chat not working, not visible in Creative Audio Control Panel

I just received one of the new Sound Blaster World of Warcraft Tap Chat foot pedals and so far... it's not been a joy to use
The problem is that the device does not show up in the Audio Control panel (the creative panel) as a configurable device. I have the WoW wireless headset and it is on and active (otherwise the panel will not display). The Tap Chat is supposed to display on the list of options under Illumination, THX, Game Audio, Key Bindings and then the Tap Chat should be listed.
I'm running the latest drivers for the WoW headset (1.01.0001). Windows 7 64-bit. The audio control panel lists as version 1.00.05 (in the panel about screen).
During installation (reinstallation actually trying to fix the problem) the Tap Chat pedal is listed in the registration application, so I know it's installed correctly and IS visible to SOME creative apps (ie the registration app, not very helpful) but not the audio control panel.
I think it's either 1) the panel is an older version and does not know about the pedal (even though I've updated to the latest) or something else is fishy.

I've already called your support group. They didn't even know that the product EXISTED. Nor did they have any idea what the problem is.
It's pretty obvious the problem is due to the device not being detected on 64bit systems (yes, I can see the device on a 32 bit machine).
So if anyone has Windows 7 64bit they are probably going to be sadly dissapointed with this device.
Also configuration only works if you have the WoW headset plugged in... which is really odd considering you don't need the headset to use the device once configured (you can use it anywhere without drivers since it is essentially a keyboard with only one key).

Alt Shift resets visible toolbars

In Windows, switching keyboard layouts is often assigned to
Alt-Shift.
In Dreamweaver, Alt-Shift resets the toolbar set to
'Document' and 'coding', which apparently is the default.
If you have any other toolbar open, for example 'Standard'
(which has Save and Save All icons), it disappears.
Is there a way to modify the default set or is there a

Some keys don't work as expected
From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
From the View menu, choose Speech.
Click the Text to Speech tab.
If "Speak selected text when the key is pressed" is enabled, the key or key combination set to speak text cannot be used for other purposes or used to type text--click Set Key and change it to a less-commonly used key combination (try to use modifier keys such as Shift, Command, Option, and Control). Or, disable the "Speak selected text when the key is pressed" option.
Click the Universal Access pane in System Preferences, click the Keyboard tab.
Make sure that Slow Keys is turned off. With Slow Keys on, you need to press a key for a longer period of time for it to be recognized.
In the Universal Access pane, click the Mouse tab, and make sureMouse Keys is turned off. With Mouse Keys enabled, you cannot use the Numeric Keypad to enter numbers--instead the keypad moves the pointer (cursor). (There is an option to enable Mouse Keys with five presses of the Option key; you may want to turn that option off to avoid accidentally enabling it.) If Mouse Keys is enabled and you are using a keyboard with no numeric keypad or Num Lock function, seeUnable to type while Mouse Keys is enabled in Mac OS X.
If the function keys on the top row of the keyboard are not working as expected, see Mac OS X: How to change the behavior of function keys.
If the issue persists, use Keyboard Viewer to help isolate the issue:
Click the Language & Text pane (Mac OS X v10.6) or International pane (Mac OS X v10.5.8 or earlier) in System Preferences.
Click the Input Sources tab (or Input Menu tab in Mac OS X 10.5.8 or earlier).
Click the Keyboard & Character Viewer "On" checkbox to select it (click the Keyboard Viewer "On" checkbox in Mac OS X 10.5.8 or earlier).
From the Input (flag) menu, choose Show Keyboard Viewer.
If the keyboard is connected and detected by Mac OS X, the keys you type will highlight in the Keyboard Viewer window. Open TextEdit (or any text application), and try to type something using the keys that were previously not responding to see if they highlight in Keyboard Viewer.

Thanks for prompt response - I tried what you suggested but I'm afraid it has not helped. It seems as though the line of number keys along the top aren't actually doing what is printed on them. Some are OK, but the further towards the right hand side of the keyboard you go, the less predicatable it becomes. So whilst the second key from the left gives me 1 and ! when holding the shift key, by the time I get to the 6 when I press and hold shift I get ^ rather than & symbol which is what is actually printed on the key. The & symbol is actually on the next key along - and when I hit the key with 8 I get * rather than the ( which is printed on they key but actually located on the next key along. Things get even more muddled by the time I am over on the right hand side as rather than a question mark (I have had to type the word as I cannot find the symbol anywhere!) I get this _ and the other symbol marked on the key is a comma, but I get - instead. It is going to drive me mad if every time I want to type something it is a guessing game....! What do you suggest - question mark

Since updating my iTunes I no longer have any controls. iTune covers the entire desktop and I cannot add from my files. Can anyone please advise me.

Take the following steps:
1) while connected to wifi, toggle off then back on the Show All Music and iTunes Match options shown in my original post. Important: I did this step before, but wasn't connected to wifi, and my music disappeared. Subsequently, I connected to wifi and turned off and then back on those options and everything came back though it was grayed out and my only option was to download music.
2) To get streaming over cellular back, go into Settings>General>Cellular and scroll down to the "Use Cellular Data for:" options and make sure the iTunes option is set to 'On'
The above steps will bring back the streaming capability which seemed to go away when you update to 6.1. It didn't ACTUALLY go away, but something about the update toggled off the iTunes option in step 2 above.
I did a final test by turning off wifi, opening Music app and selecting a song. It played successfully without downloading! Crossing my fingers, but I think I'm good to go!

It's a new machine - and the Thunderbolt Display is meant to work with it. You need to just make an appointment at your local Apple Store and have them fix whatever is wrong.
If you like, you could always try a SMC reset and a PRAM/NVRAM reset to see if either of those will get your keyboard back in working order...
