Dear,
Once you do the GR of that Prod Order and the status will DLV then the Target will show.  Run KKS2 and then check your result. In production order or KKBC_HOE

  • Target cost = Actual cost

    hello,
in our MTO, the target costs vs actual cost story runs smoothly
in our make to stock process however, the target cost = actual costs.
Where is the steering for this? can it be changed?
    kr
    Nico

In our deployment we use this feature (Target cost) and it does not represent actual costs.  Our OKV6 screen shows the control costs are actual, but target is from Current Std Cost Estimate.  It is my understanding that this approach makes the Target costs show the received parts in make-to-stock at standard costs.  This is useful when your order is set to make more or less than what was actually received.  The Plan will show the planned quantities at standard.  Imagine you create a job to make 100 units, but only receive 70 units and TECO the order short.  The Target would show the plan quantities times 70% rather than the entire planned values to make 100 units.  Each view (Plan, Target and Actual) have their own use and benefit.

  • Planned cost & actual cost are same in process order.

    hi,
I have created new order type for process order.
when i made process order & i  going for  confirmation in cor6n , on screen fixed & variable overheads values are coming which system had taken from receipe.
when i did changes in that values which are in hrs & confirm & settle the order, in cost analysis plan cost & Actual cost was seem to be same.
I dont get why this is happen ? is there any config in order type.
    thanks in advance.

  • Target cost, planned cost, actual cost difference

    Hi!
As per my understanding , the target cost, planned cost, actual will be calculated like blow:
Actual cost = Actual quanity * Actual price ( standard price or moving average price) existed at the time of goods movement.
Planned cost = Planned quantity * Planned price ( standard price or moving average price) existed at the time of production order release based on valuation variant strategy.
Target cost = Planned Quantity * Actual price ( standard price or moving average price) when calculating variances.
    whether above formulas are correct?
I have one scenario, where in process order, I am not seeing Planned quanity for compoenent/raw material, but target quanity is existed. How it is possible. When I have checked the BOM in process order, the BOM does not contain the componenet.

    Hi,
Target Cost = Costs as per the standard cost estimate * Actual Qty delivered.
For e.g. Std cost for one unit of material-x is as follows.
    RM 1 - 10kg * 10 /-  = 100
    Activity 1 - 5 Hr * 50 /-  = 250
If the actual delivery from the production is 2 units, then target cost will update as
    Under Goods Issue, RM 1 - (10kg*2units) * 10 /- = 200
    Under Confirmations, Activity 1 - (5 Hr*2units) * 50/- = 500
    Total = 200+500 = 700
Target cost for goods issue/confirmation of activities will update only when the Goods receipt has been done but not at the time of goods issue or Confirmation of activities.
Target cost for Goods Receipt will update only when the variance has been calculated for the order.

  • How the target cost/ actual cost was done

    Hi,
When we run the report KKBC_PKO for the material for the last period 10/2009.
system not showing the Target cost but it show the Actual cost values.
When we look the MB51 -Where production confirmation (backflush) and GI/GR happened for the particular period. It wa not happened.
If production confirmation was not done. how the Acutal cost is calculated.
What is basics to calculate the Target /Actual cost

    Raj,
Without Confirmation / GI or GR, the actual cost cannot come. Why dont you check double click the cost records and see for yourself as from where the costs came.

  • Plan cost & Actual cost in KKBC_ORD for CO Prdn Order

    Dear Experts,
We are not able to findout the why difference is appearing during T code KKBC_ORD order analyse for Raw materials, please suggest wht may be the wrong thing in the order?
Before this i would like to brief you on the process.
Raw matls are created with "V" as price control. & Finished Goods as "S" control.& we create one BOM. Say example
My finished Goods will be 500555 code & Raw matl code will say 1001010 & 1002020.
My BOM will contain these raw matls with qty of 1kg each.
FG code 500555 of 2kg Bag
    Items are 1001010 & 1002020 of 1kg each.
Here my mvng price are 2 & 4Rs for raw mtls 1001010 & 1002020 respectively.
In Material master we define overhead key as 10% to a Finished goods (500555) in Costing view.
    1) Now i create a Base planning object T code KKE1 & I update the 10% as overhead cost & raw matls qtys as per BOM.At the end you can see the overall manufacture cost of the FGs in this case you will get for
FG 500555 about 6.6Rs. then save it.here it is done for 1bag only.
    2) Create a CO PRDOUCTION ORDER T code KKF1 system will generate one number & save it. Now go to KKF4 add the base planning object name & enter the required qty say 10 bags...
You can see the COGM will now 66Rs for 10 bags as per the planning.
3)Goods issued to Order 261 with refc to BOM & Order number entred qty as 10. Sytem will calculates the qtys of raw mtals based on 10bags & save it.
4)Goods  receipt done against CO PRDOUCTION ORDER (Finished  goods 500555).
*5)KKBC_ORD i hav updated the CO PRDOUCTION ORDER & choosen cost trend. Here i am seeing a diffc in actual cost column & variance of 26%.but how it is possible*
    Regards
    TG

I can think of a couple of areas where there may be differences.
First, your CO order is probably not getting any overhead costs.  Your base planning object had 10% overhead built into it, but that is only for developing the preliminary cost estimate for the order.  The allocation of actual overhead must occur through some other method (i.e. overhead costing sheet, activity allocation, or template allocation).
Second, the actual material costs assigned to the order will be based on the material's inventory valuation at the time they are issued to the order.  Since you said the materials are valuated at weighted average cost, it is possible that their inventory valuation changed between the time the base planning object was created and the time they were issued to the order.
    thanks,

  • Product Costing: Actual Cost by Component

    Hi SAP Gurus,
Products are manufactured in plant X, and have all the standard cost components (MP, DL, FOH, etc.) that one would expect of internally-manufactured skus. Traditionally, these products were shipped from Plant X to Plant Y and then to Plant Z. Once sold out of Plant Z, the actual Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) in the system likewise includes costs for MP, DL, FOH, etc.
However, last year we started also selling product directly from Plant Y. On Looking in ZCO_ACTUAL_COST(Actual Cost by Component), we see that, when sold, a given SKU is treated as a purchased finished good. That is, all of the standard costs & variances associated with the sku are aggregated into Purchased Finished Goods, a materials account. Because SAPu2019s actual cost has zero for all other line items (i.e. DL + FOH), the system generates favorable variances that eliminate these standard costs.
Please note that the issue is not standards (which appear to be fine) but actual cost allocation upon sale of the product.
Summary : The issue is that product sold out of Plant Y is incorrectly treated as a purchased finished good, instead of as an internally manufactured item. This is an issue because our materials costs are then overstated and other costs are understated
How to show the product sold from Plant Y as internally manufactured Item. (with Cost Components M+P, DL.FOH etc) like how it was showing for product sold from Plant Z?
    Regards
    Jaswanth

    Hi Ajay,
In the material master for the material, I verified that the Price control is set as S( Std price) for both the Plant Y and Plant Z.
And the issue here is with the Actual Cost component and not the Std cost component. Can you please clarify where in MRP view for Plant Ywe need to set the indicator as transferred from Plant X.
Also I verified that the valuation class for Plant Y and Plant Z is different, ( For Plant Y it is set as Mfg Fin goods and for Plant Z it is set as Purchased Fin goods). Is the Actual cost component split has any relation with this Val class setup.
This is how the Actual Cost component looks
Mat No   Plant   Raw Mat  Packaging Mats  Pur Fin Goods  Direct Labour  FOH
A          Z         XX              XX                     XX                         XX            XX
       A          Y           0                 0                     XX                          0                0
All the cost for Plant Y is rolled to Pur fin goods.
    Kindly give your inputs
    Regards
    Jaswanth Kumar

  • Material Master (Material Ledger- Product cost actual costing)

When I create a material in MM01 and no Standard price is set the columns "Company code currency" y "Profit valuation" are disabled.
The only column available is the one corresponding to company code currency. The field "Price unit" starts with the number of 1000 and this information is not copied to the other price unit fields unless you introduce a value in the Standar price - Company code currency field.
Does any one knows a user exit that can modify this values (Price unit - Group Currency and Price unit - Profit valuation) ?
    Kind Regards

    Hi
    1. It is not  mondatory to activate Material ledger to create Product Cost collector.
2  It is not  mondatory to create product cost collector if we actovate Material Ledger.
    Material ledger Activation
    1. In OMX1 activate ML and price determination 3 for production plants and 2 for sales depo plants (if need)
2 In. OMX3 assign ML type standard
    3. Configure dynamic price changes : assign price release  1
    4. Assign material update structure to a valuation area
    5. Activate actual costing indicator and assign  2     Activity update relevant to price determination
    PCC:
1.In KKF6N,enter the material, plant and select create button and select the order type as
RM01, radio button selected for production version and assign the production version here
2.Save the PCC for preliminary costing
    3. PCC integrates with PP module in production version selection

now check Tcode CJVC. are all the cost elements assigned in the value category properly..
then run Tcode: CJEN with test run on it.. first set delete and test run..then remove delete with onlytest run..
    select object list
check whether ur getting the actual costs there..
if it does then remove test run and carryout the above cycle again..
    run the report S_ALR_87013532.
