Target group from filter criteria of an attribute list.

I have created an Attribute list in the T-code CRMD_MKTDS and a filter criteria for this attribute list.
Now, I would like to use this filter criteria to create a Target Group.
So, is there any Function Module, standard Report program or methods of any standard class to create a target group using this filter criteria ?
How can I determine the BPs related to the filter criteria and assign them to a Target Group?

You can use class 'CL_CRM_MKTTG_GENIL_TG' or Function module ''CRM_MKTTG_TG_READ'
to create Target group's from Profiles.

1. Not possible to put validation for selection criteria windows.
2. In standard, I don't think it is possible to hide only one item group.
3. Alternatively don't give authorization to user for running sales reports. If still need create customized query and ask user run every month.

Creating Target Group from External File

Hello Experts
We need to create target group from external file. (That is to say we will have let's say txt file containing BP that belongs to specific target group and we need to assign these BPs to to specific target group in SAP CRM)
I have searched for it on sdn and found something benefical. I have found BAPI_TARGETGROUP_CREATE, I have checked it but I don't understand how should we use it becuase as far as we understand it just creates target group, we cannot see anything related with Business Partner. How can we relate BPs with the target group we create by this BAPI.
What should we do, is anyone have previous experience about it? or is there a way to do it without using BAPI.

Hi,
You can do this from within the standard Web UI. It's straight out of the box.
Create a profile set and in there create a target group in the target group assignment block just by entering the description of the target group. Then enter edit mode of this target group and click the button "Import Members". Remeber to mark "Change selected target group" unless you want to create a new target group.

Delete target groups from campaign

We are using crm 5.0 and want to archive target groups, but before they are archived we need to delete the target group from the campaign where is it used. Does anyone of you know about a program for this?

I guess you need to follow the Standard SAP Archiving procedure:
First the Campaign needs to be set to Status: Finished or Rejected.
Under the TG properties set the status of the TG as to be archived.
Check the residence time for archiving.

Adding "Filter Criteria" to the XSLT List View Web Part impact on "Export to Excel" functionality within Document Library

XSLT List View displaying all the list items within the Document Library. In order to implement the Search functionality within Document library out of box "Text Filter" web part is configured as explained below. The solution is similar to
the one suggested at

"Text Filter" Web Part added to the page.
Filter Criteria (i.e., XSLT List View columns) added to the XSLT List View where the filter parameters take the input from the "Text Filter" Web Part .
3. Both Web Parts (XSLT List View and the Text Filter) are connected.
When the search criteria is entered into the "Text Filter" Web Part, it is passed to the relevant Columns of the XSLT List View and the documents (List Items) that match the search criteria are shown within XSLT List View.
Search functionality working as expected.
Query: Selecting the "Export to Excel" icon from the ribbon generates the excel spread sheet with no data except Column Titles from the Document library. In the investigation it is
found that adding the 'Filter Criteria' on XSLT List View is causing this bug. When the Filter Criteria is removed, then "Export to Excel" functionality is working as expected.
But it is mandatory to add "Filter Criteria" to implement the search functionality with in the document library.
Help: Help/input appreciated on the work around to get the "Export to Excel" functionality work when the "Filter Criteria"
exist on the XSLT List View.

In the investigation it is found that removing the 'Filter Criteria' on XSLT List View makes the "Export to Excel" functionality work. But the 'Filter Criteria' is mandatory to get the 'Document Search' functionality.
I think that due to technical limitations it should be concluded that 'only custom development can make all work, no code solutions using the SharePoint Designer can meet all the requirements.
If you can think of any alternative solution that could help in resolving the current issue or fix the issue without any custom implementation please inform. Otherwise this issue would be marked as resolved with your suggested response.

How transfer target group from CRM to CDB

Dear all,
i created a new target group.
I would it's transferred in CDB and I thought that the system would have done it automatically.
It appears that there is any kind of error (the target group is also in active status) but the situation is that the target group isn't in the CDB table and i don't find any adapter object or kind of report in CRM.
I'm working with CRM 4.0

target gruop should be transferred into CDB automatically
when it is assign to the marketing campaign or promotion and
MSA user has active subscription for Promotions & Campaigns.

Custom Attributes in Target Group

Hi,
we are experiencing an issue during Target group creation: we are unable to see our custom attributes in the Target Group.
We have an Attribute List created by a Custom infoset; the Infoset is based on a custom Table.
When we create a profile Set from this Attribute list, the Target Group is created with the correct records number, but when we look at the Target Group we find there only standard attributes, that are not defined in our Attribute List (they seems all BUT000 fields).
How can we add our custom Field to Target Group Structure?
I've read someone suggests to enahnce CRM_IM_ADD_DATA_BADI BADI: this is the only possible option? there is a way to do it using SPRO transaction?

Thanks for reporting your concern.
When the target group is displayed on the WebUI, the system uses a standard structure crmt_mkttg_genil_tg_i_enhance. The fields available for selection comes from this structure. In this structure there are some 30 user fields provided which can be filled through the badi 'CRM_MKTTG_SEG_MEM_EX'. Using this badi you can display the required Custom details.

Help needed to generate new target group for contacts from BP Target Group

In CRM 5.0, we have a functionality in which say we have created a target group (T1) for 10 BPu2019s (organization) and each of these BPu2019s have one or more contact persons associated to them. Now if I want to create a target group for all these contact persons associated to the 10 BPu2019s, in CRM 5.0 I have the option to right click on the target group (T1) and then I get an option u201C generate new target group from contactsu201D. By doing so another target group for all the contacts associated to those BPu2019s will be generated. I am not able to find out the similar option in CRM 2007 (web UI) where in I can create target group for contacts associated to BPu2019s (organization). There should be some work around for this requirement.
Please let me know how to achieve this requirement.

we're also using that functionality in CRM 5.0. I think it would be worth a combined OSS message to get this functionality back in standard if it isn't there.

Now, we want to realize a segmentation for organizations with marketing attribute productgroup xyz and persons with marketing attribute decider.

Im sorry, I think my description was too short. I have the following situation / problem:
I am using InfoSet CRM_MKTTG_BP_ORG with business partner BUT000-PARTNER_GUID.
My person datasource based on Info Set CRM_MKTTG_BP_ORG and business partner BUT000_PER-PARTNER_GUID.
Furthermore Im using an attribute Set for organizational attributes and an attribute set for person attributes.
Now I want to build up a target group with persons who have specific attributes. The persons should be members of organisations with specific attributes.
Example: Persons with attribute decider should be member of organizations with attribute productgroup xyz.
We are using SAP CRM 5.0. I added the function modul CRM_MKTTG_PF_BP_TAB_TO_CP in my organization Datasource.
But I have problems to build up a profil set and a target group where I can combine the attributes of the organizations and the attributes of the persons. The counting result is 0.

Automatic Profile Set / Target Group Creation in SAP CRM

Hi,
Need some help on the listed process.
Is there any procedure to create Profile Ser/Target group automatically based on certain criteria? We want to reduce the manual work of Profile/Target group creation for the users.
We are currently using SAP CRM 5.0 and looking at options of creating Target Groups automatically based on infoset. The criteria used to model is below mentioned.
- New Customers & Head Office (They are the customer specific Z-fields in BP Master Data)
- Relationship Data: Has contact person Relationship. This is based on the assignment of Contact person to the BP (i.e. Day when the Relationship assignment done to the respective BP Master Data --> under Relationship tab page.
We are not using Attribute Set (that we assign to Marketing Attribute tab page of BP Master), for your information.
Appreciate, if you could let us know whethe this is possible by Standard feature/ any work around on this.

Create target group for contacts does not work

Hi Experts,
I am working on a Markting solution for a University with CRM 5.0.
We need to contact certain Teachers in Schools (they have an orientation function for pupils that might study in the University in the future).
I can segment for schools in Segmentbuilder. Now, I need to generate "new target group from contact". In my case the contact person of the school is the Teacher (function type is contact person). This does not work.
Am I missing some parametrization, or is there a relation to sales area (wich we do not have).
Hoping for your help. I will regard points generously.

Hi Cristina,
I understand Schools are crated as Org and Teacher as Persons. There exist a Relationship between these similar to Contact Person (BUR001).
Now, Follow the process
1) Create a Data Source in CRMD_MKTDS.
2) Assign an Infoset Query, as per your scenario.
3) Assign Function Module "CRM_MKTTG_PF_BP_TAB_TO_CP" to data source
4) Save, and then create an Attribute List.
Go to Segment Builder and create target group based on above Attribute List.
You'll get a list of all the contact persons. For your case, Teachers.

PS: This will only work if Schools - Org, Teacher = Person and Relationship = BUR001. If you have other criterias please copy Function Module "CRM_MKTTG_PF_BP_TAB_TO_CP" and edit it as per your business case. Then assign this FM in Data Source.

With respect to your questions
1. Master group
Master group is a subset of all BP in which you would like to create a target group.
Like you have BP across world in your system and you would like to create a master group for country like India and US.
So these will form as the master group and when you would like to run a campaign you can restrict it to run only in India or US by selecting your master group in the segment builder screen and creating a target group
There are few standard master group creation programs and you can infact build your own master groups also based on a Z program and assigning this master group to your segment category. You can make it as a mandatory for the user to select the master group.
You can create a target group from a master group.
2.Target group is nothing but bringing all the BP to whom you would like to target or run a campaign against. These are created from the attributes assigned to a attribute set which is again assigned to an attribute list. This attribute list is called in the segment builder screen and select the attributes in the profiling area to form a traget group and when you right click you will find the list of all BP that satisfy your criteria.

Target group changing

Hello All,
I've created TG "My TG" and attached it to a campaign "My campaign". I released campaign and transffered a group to a channel(call list in my case)
After that I want to add additional BP to "My TG" and attach this group to the same campaign.
According to help.sap.com I should delete the target group from campaign , change it and attach it again.
But when I tryed to delete TG from campaign I got error message "Segment already transfered to a channel".
Some suggestion?
Is there some another way to add additional BP's to existing target group and attached it to the same campaign?

Transport Layer in ABAP Workbench
The Change and Transport System supports the distribution of development work on large projects across multiple SAP Systems.
The packages in each development system are grouped into one transport layer.
The transport layer determines whether objects are assigned to a local or transportable change request.
Use
Each of your SAP development systems is assigned a transport layer as its standard transport layer. If you use Extended Transport Control, you can assign different standard transport layers to certain clients.
You can define at the most one consolidation target for each SAP System and transport layer.
When you create a package, it is assigned the standard transport layer of the SAP System.
If you want to assign a different transport layer to a package, you require the administration authorization for the Change and Transport System.
The objects in a package automatically have the transport attributes defined for the corresponding transport layer.
If a consolidation route originating in their SAP System is defined, then the objects are assigned to a transportable request, and transported into the consolidation target when it is released.
If a consolidation route is not defined, the objects are assigned to a local request, and are not transported.
Customizing settings are not assigned to a package. They have the transport attributes of the standard transport layer of the system or client.

Only the system adminstrator can make changes.
Caution:
