Target Group to Channel Job
Hello
When we use the "Target Group to Channel" Job, and assign a template activity that has a product associated, this product isn't copied to the activities created for the job.
Does anyone can help me?

I have checked SWU3 and all is OK.
WS14000060 - Send Target Group to Channel is the workflow that isn't starting.
I've checked the agent assignment and it is set as general task which is what the implementation document says to do.

Target Group to Channel - Trying to use 2 channels when only 1 is specified
I have created a Target group and then in the marketing planner create a campaign. Under the channel I have specified Phone which is linked to creating a transaction. I activate the campaign and then choose target group to channel.
The job is scheduled and does run.... However it ends in error saying "No Mail form exist for communication channel Email"
so no transactions are saved.
I am confused as I only specified the channel to be Phone NOT email..... I do not want to send any emails for this.
Has anyone encountered this problem before and can they advise on the solution.

CarolineSo is question too easy that no one wants to respond? Since the new 10.7.3 update I can see the same result on the file sharing page where it shows who's logged in. Am I the only showing 2 of the same users logged in?
I was thinking because I created users and then deleted them, and the re-created the same users that's why it's occurring. When I log in from a windows machine I only see 1 user with a SMB share. But when I log in from Mac I see 2 users with the AFP share. Both users are exactly the same.
Here's one more bit regarding this. If I log in on Mac with Lion then there are 2 duplicate users and if you wait a few minutes only 1 of duplicate users will show time. The other does not. But if I log in from a Mac with Snow Leopard then it shows 2 duplicate users as above but neither of them show any time.
I can't be the only peron having these problems can I?
So if these duplicate users were caused from me creating and deleting users, where (what file) is the user name stored?

I have created a new campaign and assigned products , channels and taget group to campaign.
i have changed campaign status to ' Released'.
When i m trying to send Email to Target Group , that option was grayed out . Please le me know if i need any changes .

Can you please check for following settings are maintained
In the Campaign Screen.
Basic Data Tab
Piority : high/medium
Transfer to ERP : Generally should be unchecked
Status : Released
Campaign Element Screen
Channels Tab
Communication Medium : INT
Form for Email : ( maintain the mail form which you want to send)
Work flow task : CA1 Send target group to channel
Segmentation Tab
Maintain target Group
Go to the campaign automation screen using F5
Drag and drop the start node and element side by side and connect using connection
In the start node of the campaign automation
schedule the campaign
After starting the campaign check the status and log in the start node as well as element in the campaign automation screen.
Status should be released
Log should have completed.

Wrong target group is executed
Hi all,
In the PCUI we have a campaign with 2 target groups under the 'Segments' tab. When we select the first and then press the 'Target Group to Channel' button, in the job log we can see the second target group was executed and not the first. The transfer status of the target groups shows the status we expect (1: Job Ended Without Errors and 2: Job not scheduled) so we could only see something was wrong looking into the job log.
This happened only twice as we know but we would like to know how this can happen and how this can be prevented. Does anyone has an idea how to solve and clarify our issue?

I think it is easy to create a target group using CRMD_MKTSEG. Target Group is every time linked with a Campaign. using attributes u create profile sets and using filter values of attributes u create target groups.

Creating New Target Groups in Background - is this possible?
We are currently working on CRM 4.0.
We have created some custom infosets for criteria that we wish to segment our data by. However when we try and run this using the segment builder a time-out short dump occurs.
Does anyone know of a way to create the target groups through the segment builder via a background process that means we could avoid the time out issue?.

I am sorry. I wrongly wrote it as Segment builder. But, as you correctly said,.... we can send target group to channel in marketing planner only.... not segment builder.
But, as you are saying that you have a problem in the segment builder when creating the target group........I guess when you right click on the profile set to build the target group, we also have an option,.... something like....."Build target group in background".
I am not sure, as i am not infront of the system. But, please check for this ......

Error assigning Target Group to Campaign Element
Hi
I have created a Target group for a Campaign. I have saved and exported target group to channel and started the Campaign. But it shows error message saying No Target Groups are assigned to Campaign Element..
Why is it showing error even after assigning members for the target group and exporting the TG to Channel. I have updated the status from created to released, approved before Starting the campaign.
Please help.

Do you have a campaign element in your campaign? If so assign the target group to the campaign element in the segments assignment block.

I need to make validation before sending target group to chanel.
there should be check on target group be made.
do you know enhancement or badi I can use here?
status of campaign is changed earlier so I can not connect this validation with status change.
system status of sending TG to chanel is changed after sending , so it is too late.
I need to make control before planning job that sends tg to channel.
Any ideas?

Custom Attributes in Target Group Email Campaign Not Refreshed
We have a campaign sending emails to a target group of BPs. To fill our custom attributes with values we have implemented our code in badi CRM_IM_ADD_DATA_BADI method CRM_IM_BPSELE. We tested our code using the Test Send feature from the email form and all worked fine.
But when we ran the campaign in the background for a Target Group with multiple BPs it would not work correctly, our attribute values were incorrect.
We discovered while debugging the job, that the badi gets run once for each BP, but the attribute values from the previous BP do NOT get refreshed. In fact there are 2 entire sets of attribute records in the CT_ATT_VALUES table parameter. Each time through it multiplies by another set of our attributes.
I have put code in the badi as a workaround that deletes the previously filled attributes for the previous BP, but I'd like to figure out what is causing this problem.
Any help would be appreciated.

I am facing the similar problem.
Though the BADi is not used for these two mails (it is used in some other mail forms), it is actually called in 'CRM_ERMS_MAIL_COMPOSE' Function Module and the process is same as u said. There are 2 sets of values.
I am using a Mail Alert functionality where in a 'Mail Alert ON' is sent to field engineers (FE) and then upon FE accepting the work we will send a 'Mail Alert OFF' to FEs.
Problem is, we get one or two fields data incorrectly sometimes. I am not able to find out the root cause yet.
Please let me know if you have had any resolution to this!

A Campaign has been created and the Target Group has been assigned to this Campaign
After that some changes has been done at the time of releasing the campaign,
shall i have to regenerate the target group or not to get the exact target group accroding to attribute list

you said you already maintained the target group ,so when you release the campign its pretty simple,if you have maintained the target group using the same set of attributes which are there in your attribute list,then you need not create the target group again
but if thats not the case then you need to regenerate the target group on the basis of attribute list,infosets or BW query,using whatever you want to do the segmentation.
target group once assigned to the campaigns can be used again and again but on the basis of which target group are assigned is very crucial.this must be remembered every time we do segmentation.
besides you can maintain a background job for scheduling the target group assignment to the BP too,so that once target group is generated it is assigned automatically for segmentation.

Hi experts,
We are unable to delete a targetgroup which is assigned to a campaign element of a campaign.
The campaign scheduled with campaign automation for the execution.
When we are trying to delete the target group from the campaign element the message displays as " target group has already been transfered to channel"
Can anybody explain the procedure for the deletion of the target group which is already assigned to a campaign which is released to channel transfer.

Under easy access menu, follow the below path:
Marketing -> Tools -> Expert Tools
Under segment builder, you will have the option called "Deletion of Target groups".
Click on that and mention the target group, which u want to delete and click on execute button.

Activities are not appearing after creation of campaign with target group.

alternatively to check table CRMD_ORDERADM_H directly you can use the related transactions search for the campaign:
This should bring all activities generated by the campaign. If this is empty first check the job log of the campaign execution job again:
This gives information if any target group members have business transactions created. If the log does not contain the required information you can debug from SM37. The business transactions (activities, leads, sales orders) are generated from function module CRM_MKTTGGRP_PROC_CREATE.

Error when exporting target groups with more than 10000 BPs using mail form
Dear experts,
we are working on 7.0.
we customized the communcation medium file export for the usage in campaigns.
Everything is working fine: the target group (<4000 BPs) is exported to a .csv-file and attached to the campaign.
As soon as number of BPs in the target group exceeds app. 9.000-10.000 the background job is executed successfully without errors, but no .csv-file is attached to the campaign.
Has anyone experienced the same? Soem hitns or solutions?

HannesI don't think the character set is the problem. I used a string of numbers 0123456789 and just copied and pasted it repeatedly to build up the text. The database character set is WE8MSWIN1252.
Regarding the apache log. I have to admit that I don't even know if I'm running apache. I am using a newly installed Oracle XE on a laptop in order to get some experience with application express. This app is the first one I've done. If someone will direct me to the log then I'll be glad to check it and post the relevent contents.
I signed up for an apex workspace and intend to see if I can recreate the error from there so I can see if the problem is just in the free version of apex that comes with the Oracle Express Edition for windows database. -

I've created TG "My TG" and attached it to a campaign "My campaign". I released campaign and transffered a group to a channel(call list in my case)
After that I want to add additional BP to "My TG" and attach this group to the same campaign.
According to help.sap.com I should delete the target group from campaign , change it and attach it again.
But when I tryed to delete TG from campaign I got error message "Segment already transfered to a channel".
Some suggestion?
Is there some another way to add additional BP's to existing target group and attached it to the same campaign?

Transport Layer in ABAP Workbench
The Change and Transport System supports the distribution of development work on large projects across multiple SAP Systems.
The packages in each development system are grouped into one transport layer.
The transport layer determines whether objects are assigned to a local or transportable change request.
Use
Each of your SAP development systems is assigned a transport layer as its standard transport layer. If you use Extended Transport Control, you can assign different standard transport layers to certain clients.
You can define at the most one consolidation target for each SAP System and transport layer.
When you create a package, it is assigned the standard transport layer of the SAP System.
If you want to assign a different transport layer to a package, you require the administration authorization for the Change and Transport System.
The objects in a package automatically have the transport attributes defined for the corresponding transport layer.
If a consolidation route originating in their SAP System is defined, then the objects are assigned to a transportable request, and transported into the consolidation target when it is released.
If a consolidation route is not defined, the objects are assigned to a local request, and are not transported.

Only the system adminstrator can make changes.
Caution:

for small Target Groups (i.e. Target Groups that can be displayed completely on the UI, < 10k members) you can export them via the export to spreadsheet button on the header of the Target Group item page (right side). Note that only the members that are shown in the table on the UI are exported. For bigger Target Groups, you can only export them to the application server. To do this, you will have to press the "Export to File" button on the header of the Target Group page. this will schedule a job which exports your Target Group to the application server. You can download it from there using report CRM_MKTTG_FEXP_SHOW_FILE.

Regenerating a target group automatically

I am facing the following problem: I want to set a target group that will be automatically regenerated on a daily basis.
I build a profile in the segment builder and counted the BP's who are in it, then I builed a target group in the background in order to set it up to be periodic . In this point something which I don't understandand don't know how to deal with happens: the number of BP's in my TG returns to zero, and even if I am executing the job (transaction sm37), immediately- it dosen't change, there are no BP's in my TG .

since CRM 5.0 it is possible to create target groups containing Organizations with Relations and Contact Persons.
So if you use the Infoset CRM_MKTTG_BP_PRTFUNC_REL you can fill the target group with all the necessary information.
This should be a solution for your problem.
