Targeted Disk mode only shows one of two hard disks...

Got a new computer to transfer old info to from my dual g4 1 gig mirrored. When i set in targeted disk mode only one hard drive shows up. I confirmed both are set to cable select and only the master is showing. If I swap the drives the master is the only one that will show up. Any ideas on how to get both showing up at the same time?

Only the Master drive can be used in Target Disk Mode. See

My mid 2006 MBP doesn't boot anymore, I am getting the gray screen with the rotating wheel.
When trying to boot in target disk mode and connect it to my iMac only the bootcamp partition is mounting, but not the Macintosh HD, I could like to make a backup before I run to the Genius Bar.

I can't boot from snow leopard DVD either. When I try, the DVD just ejects. I was able to boot once in safe mode, repaired disk permissions there. Since then it's not booting anymore. Sometimes I get a gray progress bar, sometimes just spinning wheel. Can't even boot from external disk.
The only thing that works is booting into Windows Safe Mode. But screen looks fuzzy, with small horizontal lines all over the screen.
Before my MBP froze there were 8 horizontal lines around the mouse cursor under OSX.
I just want to try to get to my Mac partition to backup the drive before I go to the Genius Bar.

Only show one or two rows on Scroll areas

Hi,
I have a Scroll areas , and have 2000 rows, I only want to display one or two rows at first, if the user click the plus symbol, then show one more row, is that a way to handle this ?

what tools are you in?
work around would be to do an noautoselect on scroll properties and do a .select("where condition to show only 2 rows")

Album List view only showing one or two tracks from each albulm

Hello there, could anybody help me find a solution to this problem...
My music shows fine in the three other view options its just now that when i choose the album list view i only get one song per album on view and its not the same number track eg 1 .
all other view work fine!

ITunes "uploads" music to iPod, but only loads one or two songs

Hey, I've got somewhat of a problem on my hands.
Whenever I attempt to update my iPod with all the songs in my iTunes library (I restored my iPod recently, losing all of the songs on it), it'll update like nothing was wrong. This will continue for a while, but mid-way through the song upload process, the loading will stop and I'll get a "iPod update complete" message. When I look at my iPod, it will only show one or two new songs have been uploaded onto it.
What can I do to fix this?

hmmmm. do you have any other USB 2.0 peripherals plugged in to the PC?
if so, try (experimentally) disconnecting them prior to a sync. (sometimes power drain through one port can affect an ipod connection on a different port.)
any improvement in sync performance if you try that?

My Viewing area only shows one photo at a time now :(

Yesterday I noticed that my viewing area only shows one photo at a time. It used to display thumbnails of all the photos in the selected event - or library. Now, I'm forced to scroll down and view them one at a time or go into edit mode to see some thumbnails across the top of the screen.
Did I accidently do this? Was it part of an OS update? (I've been away for a month and just don't think I did anything to cause a change...) Can anyone tell me how to view all the thumbnails in the viewing area again?
I'm using iphoto 08 version 7.1.5 (378)

Exported pdf only did one of two pages

My source pdf was in two page but the export to Excel only showed one of the pages. How do I get both pages exported?

No, being on a Mac shouldn't affect this issue.

Login window only shows one user account

Hi,
Anyone has an idea what's happening?
I'm running Yosemite on MBPr 15" Mid-2012
When I power on or reboot the laptop, on the login window it only shows one user account, my account which is the Admin account. It doesn't show the secondary normal user account I created for my wife. However once I'm logged in and I hit log-off, then it shows the 2 user accounts available for login.

The lock is on the bottom left not bottom right. Sorry mixed that up.
Letting other users unlock the drive
If you want to make the Mac available to a user that doesn't currently have unlock capabilities, log in as a user that can unlock the disk. When you see your own desktop, choose "Log Out (user name)" from the Apple () menu. Also, you can unlock the disk, then switch to another user from Fast User Switch menu in the menu bar.
If you want to grant existing users the ability to unlock the drive on their own, open the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences. Select the FileVault tab and click the lock icon in the lower left corner of the window. Enter your admin privileges when prompted. Click the "Enable Users..." button to add existing users to the list of accounts that can unlock the disk.

If things seem to be going haywire with your phone, it seems that it MAY be a software issue.
Now, that being said, that does not necessarily mean that it is a virus. Software issues do happen sometimes. It is probably just coincidence.
What you need to do is restore the device using iTunes. This will fix any software issues. After you have done this, you can restore from an iCloud backup.
iCloud does not back up the actual software, so no, the "virus" would not have gotten into the backups.

Then back it up and do a restore. If that does not work and if you are still under warranty, call Apple tech support or take the iPod to your local Apple Store or an AASP.

The large text size makes your post almost impossible to read.
Excessive use of bold or capitals (also) makes posts difficult to read.
You can drag most of the column headings left or right, or right-click on the header to turn columns on or off.
Once you've used File > Display Duplicates or Shift > File > Display Exact Duplicates you can use File > Display All or the Display All button at the bottom of the list to restore the display.

I have group1 as Department and group2 as order type. I am trying to show simple thing like this.Sum of order amts by order type but this is what is displaying:
Dept            Ordertype
Medals      $100
Schools     $100
Trophy       Internet
                $300
but only shows the first order type
the problem is only shows one order type only for 1 of the departments, the last one. but all departments have many order types.

As usually your workaround not to change..Please replace the group footers fields means like that
Group Footer 2 : {Group#1 Name}      {R Total 5}
Group Footer 1 : {Group#2 Name}      {R Total 6}
See all order types display or not? I hope this seems to work..

I am tring to mirror ipad2. I just upgraded to IOS5. Is it an apple TV problem or an Ipad2 problem?
What should I try to fix the problem?

I think i found the solution. I got mine working.
Reboot the iPad by holding down the Home button and power button at the same time for 6 seconds. The screen will turn black, apple logo will appear, and it will restart.
Then restart the Apple TV. (I just unplugged the power)
Then restart your wireless router. (again, I just pulled the plug on it)
After doing that, i tried the mirroring again, and it worked great. As soon as I turned it on, it appeared on my TV and is working very quickly. (well, everything I do on the iPad is delayed on the TV by half a second)
