Task and Contacts (phone list) do not synchronize

Using Blackberry for over a month. Email and Calendar work perfectly fine, however Tasks and Contacts synched for a few weeks then stopped. My exchange server is working fine for all but the Blackberry server or device is not for Tasks and Contacts.

So you are on a BES?
Is wireless sync on for tasks and contacts?open each and press the menu button and go to options, and then look for wireless sync. The tasks usually are not enabled on the BES be default, so make sure your BES admin has that enabled.

Contact phone list in Nokia 6555

I just upgraded my 2 LG1400 phones that I had for 3 years to 2 Nokia 6555s & am suppossed to receive them tomorrow by FedEX.
In the LG1400, you had an option of keeping your Contact phone list either on the Sim card or in the phone itself.
I preferred keeping them only in the phone because it allowed you to list several phone numbers for each contact.
However, since it was not saved on the Sim card, all of your contacts were lost if you ever had to remove your Sim card for whatever reason (which returned the phone to its inital state each time).
Saving the list to the Sim card was much safer, but it made you enter a different contact for each phone number of a particular contact. i.e.- if 1 contact had 3 phone numbers, it required 3 separate entries.
QUESTIONs are: Does the Nokia 6555 work the same?
Which method have you found works best for you?

UPDATE:
This morning (Thursday 5-8-08), I went to the local AT&T Mobility store.
They said they COULD transfer my contact list from my old LG1400 to my new Nokia 6555 using a cable they had that would connect both phones together.
But, before she went to the back to get the cable, she said she would try something even more simple.
She took the SIM card out of my old LG1400 & put it in my new Nokia 6555.
LO & BEHOLD, it accepted it!!!!!!
Then she merely copied my contact list off of the LG1400 SIM card to the phone memory of the Nokia 6555. Then she put back the Nokia 6555 SIM card back into the Nokia 6555 and merely copied the contact list from the phone memory of the Nokia 6555 to the SIM card of the Nokia 6555.
ALL WENT PERFECTLY!!!!
I now have the contact list from my old LG1400 in two places in the Nokia 6555: In the phone memory AND on the SIM card.
Of course, that now means that every entry in my contact list shows up twice. But, I can easily cure that by deleting the contact list from my phone memory & leaving it only on the SIM card.
Since my contact list on my old LG1400 was only on the SIM card, that is where I think I will leave it for a while.
LATER, I expect to take each contact one at a time & transfer each to the phone memory which would enable me to list the various telephone numbers for each contact. That would decrease the number of items in my contact list since most of my contacts have more than 1 telephone number.

Reappear deleted entries on tasks and contacts

Every time I hotsync, deleted tasks and contacts appear again on my device (Tungsten E) and on Microsoft Outlook (version 2007).
It have been happening since I switched from Palm desktop to Outlook. What should I do?

First lets get you running newer software and that you added the Outlook 2007 conduits update.

Update both and then see if the sync works at that point. If it does not post back.

Try creating the vCard with the app My Contacts Backup, email it to yourself, then open it on your phone and tap the attachment to import the contacts.

my macbook air and i phone 5 are not getting paired , intact none of the devices are being paired through i phone and mac book? troubleshoot anyone?
all settings checked, tried again n again after restarting - but in vain.
it says its discoverable but doesn't pair - sometimes it says unable to pair.

The MBA and iPhone have never been able to pair with bluetooth.

Improvement Suggestions - Contacts/Phone List/Calling

To make a phone call, I usually go into my contacts list and find the person I want to call. I then touch the appropriate number and make the call. When the call is over - succesful or not - the screen reverts to the phone app, specifically the log of all calls. This is extremely annoying. If the call has been unsuccesful, the next thing I may want to do is try another number for the same person. The screen should revert to the contact information of the person called. That way the user could simply touch and call one of the other numbers.
Secondly, it is entirely unclear to me why the contacts list under the phone app does not appear like the contact list in the contact app. In the contact app, favorites show up on the top of the list. Why is this not the same in the phone app list? Even in the search screen of the contacts app, the favorites are at the top. Why isn't this so in the phone app? It's ridiculous and incredibly inefficient that they aren't.
Please change both of these items. It makes both these functions so clutzy to use the way you have it now. Inelegant does not even come close to describing it.

I don't know the "why".
But they are different. I can see instances where they could be different for many reason.
People use their BlackBerry for much more calling contacts on the phone: Email, twitter, SMS.

Touch bottom bar far left icon for the Call Log (looks the phone receiver with the in/out arrows.
Top of that screen... you should have Voice Mail, and space for Phone Favs, if you've not added any, you;ll see three spots with "Add Number", etc.

E71 no longer syncs Calendar, Tasks and Contacts

I'm hoping you can help me.
I am the owner of an E71. I have mail for exchange 2.07(22) preloaded on my phone. When I began syncing the device to my work exchange server, it worked a treat. Now, email is the only thing syncing. Yes, the emails are coming through fine, just as they should. However, now the contacts, tasks and calendar are not syncing at all. According to my IT department, nothing has changed at their end to cause a problem like this. When I open 'MfE' and force through a sync, it syncs my email then starts to sync Calendar then I get this message 'System Error. Try again later'. It's driving me mad! I'm a PA and need this device to work as the further I get away from my Outlook, the lower my IQ goes!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The latest firmware for E71 is 210.21.006
please update ur device firmaware by connecting the device to Nokia Software Update. (please take a back up of the device before doing so, if needed).
After that go to settings wizard and start configuring ur mail for exchange once again. Settings Wizard will guide u in doing so.

How do I get my bluettoth to recognize my phone contacts (phone list).

My new 4s will sync to my 2010 Toyota Tundra but bluetooth will not recognize my phone list. I can dial a number or select a contact by touching the number on my iphone but I cannot speak the name only It tells me that there is no names in my contact list. Not true!!

Talk to Toyota. The bluetooth system needs to support the PBAP Bluetooth profile.

I've only seen this happen when a Quicktime video isn't embedded into a html, http://video.mov. When linking a video this way the browser don't use the Quicktime plugin.
Safari supports HTML 5 and there's a new way of viewing videos in HTML 5.

Videos no long use the embed or object tag.

This may be causing the problem/conflict when viewing http://video.mov in Safari 4.

My icloud used to have my phone number as an option to send messages from but now it is gone and only my e-mail address is there. This never happened prior to downloading the ios 7 update.

if you turn imessage off then restart your phone turn imessage back on it worked for me

Nokia and Contacts (phone book)

Nokia's Ovi service for synchronization and saving the data in the 'cloud' was main attraction for me to use Nokia phones. I had an E63 set and was quite happy with it becuase of its various useful and easy to use features. I used it for more than 2 years.
Then I felt a need to change it for a newer version, and my choice was Asha 302 (for budget consideration!).
But this changeover was quite disastrous for me! Even though, Nokia stoped online Ovi service to access contacts, notes etc, yet the synchronization was still available. But after I purchased Asha 302, the synchronization of the phone could not be done with my Ovi data. The phones also refused to swith data from one to another through other media like bluetooth etc.
I, however, somehow downloaded my contact data from Ovi site. I tried to import that data through PC Suit. But that was also a grand failure. Ultimately, that could be done through various workaround. I mention to forget that, earlier i purchased an X3-01 set, and data were smoothly copied from E63 to X3-01! If data transfer is that much a headache, then in future I would think many times to purchase another Nokia in place of any other more lucrative brand!

After seeing your other posts your biggest problem is that you've switched from using a nokia smartphone to a nokia feature phone that uses a completely different and more basic operating system.
You should have chosen a Nokia E5 or E72 instead, they would have felt like an upgraded experience to your E63.

IPhone 5 suddenly using an excessive amount of data and my phone usage has not changed so why am i going over data 3 times this billing cycle?

My iphone 5 has been hogging data like crazy the past two months. I have not used my phone anymore than I normally do, in fact I would say I use it less often than normal. I have gone over the family share data limit of 15GB three times this billing cycle. The first time i had 121500 MB of data used. I thought it was rhapsody that was causing all of the data usage but my sister uses rhapsody on her iphone 5c and she hasnt gone over at all! So its not that. I decided I would turn OFF all cellular usage on apps like facebook, instagram, rhapsody, twitter, even MAIL! I am basically not able to use my phone outside of my house now which is NOT okay! I took screen shots of the cellular usage and at one point after I had completely shut off celluar data on all apps, i checked my cellular usage and DNS services, Mapping services, Data and syncing all had racked up data! I hadnt used any of those services! I also turned off all location settings and maps and siri! phone is still using data like crazy!
I saw in recent posts about this issue that Apple replaced peoples iphones because it was a bug in the phones software that was causing the data to go haywire! I have an upgrade but I dont want to use it if I dont have to! I also dont want to get another iphone 5 if this problem is happening with iphone 5's. I have not seen very many complaints about iphone 5c so that might be the route I go.
I also restored my iphone last night cause I saw a discussion which said to try that. So far it is still using data and im on wifi!
Any suggestions as to what to do now?

Can't find Outlook 2010 Task and Contact Folders

I upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7. Prior to the upgrade, my Outlook 2010 pst file had grown extremely large (39G) as it was not recognizing deletions I was making. After the upgrade, I can open the 39G pst file, but all I see is
my emails, not my task, contact or calendar folders. How can I get to my task, contact and calendar folders?

Do you mean when you select tasks, contacts or the calendar that nothing is visible in there, or that you can't see those folders at all?
If you're not seeing them at all, have you checked down the bottom of the left hand window and made sure the icons are visible for those three? If you select the Folder view you should then also see those folders along with the mail folders (if you're in
Mail view you will only see mail items displayed, not any of the other folders).
In terms of mailbox pst file size, you have remembered to empty the deleted items folder I assume? If you right click on the mailbox, go to properties and then click Folder Size you'll see how much space is being used by your mailbox folders and whether
you really are using 39GB or if it's mostly empty space.
