Task & Appointment Manager recommendations?

Some four weeks or so since buying my iPad 3G, I'd say that one of the most delightful things about it is the sheer ease of installing new 'apps'.
But inevitably there's a lot of poor stuff to wade through in the App Store to find those of quality. I'm seeking apps in several areas and will post separately about each. To start with I'd be grateful for recommendations on a good task and appointment manager please.
I've tried several but have not yet found one that really cuts the mustard. Maybe I'm mistaken, but I wouldn't have thought my requirements were that unusual:
1. Must handle 'Tasks' not just 'Appointments' in a simple, intuitive way.
2. Must be able to display these in consolidated form. For a day, week, or month.
3. Must let me sync painlessly between my iPad and PC, on which I use
Microsoft Outlook 2002. And ideally also with my smartphone, which runs
under Windows Mobile and syncs to Outlook 2002.
4. Must have the usual functionality expected in such programs. Like
handling repeat events (weekly meetings, annual birthdays, etc), holidays spanning multiple dates, etc.
With Windows Mobile I was spoiled for choice, with programs like Pocket Informant, Agenda Today, etc, so I'm hopeful I can find something of similar quality for the iPad.
Any suggestions would be warmly appreciated please.

  • EPM Task flow Management

    Hi,
I'm having trouble accessing task flow management from workspce after having configured SSO. When I disable SSO it works.
Shared sevices and workspace are on different servers.
I see that it re-routes to Shared Services. http://serverName:PortNumber/interop/framework/workflow
I have configured oid for oc4j instances on both servers. I'm not sure what I'm missing. I can access shared services from workspace without any issues.
    Version 11.1.1.3
Any help will be verymuch appreciated.

Thanks. The problem with adding a composite association is that both Table A and B have a composite associate on a header record. So when i tried to create a composite association between Tables B and A, the "<Entity> participates in more than one composition association. This will require custom composition management in your application for secondary masters" Warning occurs.
Which as far as i can tell means that I should not do so - that is based upon the following forum posts:
    Composition Association Warning
    foreign key associations
I found that one possible way to handle this is to:
    1. use a Commit operation after Table B is submitted - in this task flow, this commits both Tables A & B (and their header).
    2. Do an ExecuteWithParams to get the newly added Table B record (which now has the sequence-generated ID from the header record)
    3. Programatically update table B by using a bean with an OperationBinding that sets updates the attribute via an exposed attribute setter from the VO's ViewRowImpl.
    4. Commit.
However, this seems somewhat convoluted; so I'm wondering if there is a better way of doing this.

  • What is scheduled task "power management agenda"?

On start up, my Lenovo X230 runs a "scheduled task" called "power management agenda".  I am not certain if it is a Windows 7 function or a Lenovo ThinkVantage function.
The scheduled task slows down the start up process and sometimes shuts down or corrupts a Microsoft Internet Explorer session.
What is the scheduled task "power management agenda"?
Is it a Windows 7 or Lenovo ThinkVantage function?
    What purpose does it serve?
    Thanks for any input.

  • Task Status Manager

    Hi
Does anyone now how, or if, I can read a task's Status Manager using oData with Excel 2013 from Project Server Online 2013?
Seems that in previous versions of Project that it was possible to do from the "reporting" data base.  Is that no longer the case?  I can not seem to find this field.
\Spiro Theopoulos PMP, MCITP. Montreal, QC (Canada)

    Spiro,
You are correct. The Task Status Manager does not seem to be part of the default OData feed for Tasks.
A workaround in this case is to create a custom task level field, with a formula "= [Status Manager]", and that field will appear in the oData feed. I have tested this and it works.

For specific reasons, in our domain, we have three managed servers: admin, soa and taskform. The managed domain "taskform" will hold all ear project for human tasks.
The question is while configuring the domain, which libraries should we install in the "taskform" managed server?

This is the 11.1.1.5 documentation I am sure there would be an equilivant in your version.
In theory the URL should be provided by the deployment process but you can check this
In EM click on the composite with the human task component in it
Under Component Metrics click on the human task component
In the Administration tab you should see an entry which is the URI to the task form
As I said I havn't got this working on our system yet and I would be intrested in hearing if you are sucessful

  • Knowledge Management Recommended Storage Approach (DB vs Network)?

We are starting a knowledge management initiative within sap portal and cannot find documentation that represents best practices on the actual storage approach. Our pilot project started with storing the documents within the database and it was painfully slow. Since then we have switched to a network storage approach and speed has increased greatly.
    My main question is:
Is there a white paper or SAP recommended approach and a list of advantages/disadvantages for going one way or the other (Storing documents in the db vs network drive)
We would like to head down the right path before rolling this out and avoid having to switch direction a month or so down the road.
Thank you in advance for any assistance/feedback,
    Todd Simon

    Can't comment on that
    > Do you really want your database to store documents.
Yes. But if there are concerns to hold the actual content in the database, there's the DBFS mode to take care of that.
    > How big is your database going to be? I don't know
    > know any clients that are not using anything but
    > FSDB.
    Well, I'd advise not to.

  • Analysis Service Process Task Connection Manager

hi there, I was trying to use this Process Task inside SSIS to process Dimensions and partitions. The connection string for the AS connection manager is through a configuration file and value is
     Data Source=10.50.30.71;Initial Catalog=ORDERDW;Provider=MSOLAP.5;
(Notice that there is no user name and password provided)
To my surprise, when I run it under SSDT 2012, the connection was tested ok and package was actually runnning withour error?  Why as it does not make any sense? Under which credentials is this package running as it definitely needs username/password
to connect to AS server.  Thanks
The package protection level is using default which is encryptSensitiveWithUserKey
--Currently using Reporting Service 2000; Visual Studio .NET 2003; Visual Source Safe SSIS 2008 SSAS 2008, SVN --

To my surprise, when I run it under SSDT 2012, the connection was tested ok and package was actually runnning withour error?  Why as it does not make any sense?
By Default the Windows Credentials are use to logon to SSAS and I guess you have permissions to logon? So where exactly do you see an issue here?

  • Book Management - Recommended child levels

Is there any limitations in parent and child level for creating regions using Book Management to manage the region hierarchy in an organization doing business world wide.
    E.g.
Level 1 - All Regions (Parent) - [add users]
Level 2 - Europe, Asia, North America (All Regions as Parent) - [add users]
Level 3 - USA (North America as Parent), Canada, Mexico - [add users]
Level 4 - US East (USA as Parent) - [add users]
Level 5 - ECR (US East as Parent) - [can contain data and users]
Level 6 - East Coast Area (ECR as Parent) - [can contain data and users]
Please let me know your thoughts, Is the above structure is recommended for any world wide companies using Book Management.
    Thanks for your help.

It is a best practice to keep the number of levels of book management to as few as possible. This will improve performance. I would recommend the following webinars: "Flexible Data Sharing Using Book of Business" and "Consulting Best Practices for Application Configuration"

  • BOXI R2 Auditing and Performance Management Recommended Database Sizes

    Hi,
We have a 8 node BOXI R2 Cluster which we want to enable Auditing and Performance Management. Could anyone recommend what the sizes of these two databases should be in GB? I have to request appropriate disk space from our SAN team, and the databases created with fixed sizes. Also, the databases will be Oracle DBs, if that is relevant.
    Thanks!

The amount of space required for Audit DB will be determined by amount of auditing you're goinf to record. Auditing DB will grow quite significantly in a 8 node environment.
I'd start with 1gb and add space as necessary.
With PM DB - it's impossible to say how big it needs to be. It depends on amount of data you're going to put in there.
