Task bar locked?

Some Internet searches have a lock on the task bar not allowing access to the information ( for example a hotel site I recently tried to get info from). How can I unlock this on my iPad?

If you are referring to the little lock next to the greyed https in hte address bar that is indicating you are on a secured site.

Thanks Allen, I thought you may have had the answer as I do have a clock function running all the time, but I have a delay in that loop. I figured out what is going wrong. If I maximize the .vi, then the task bar will not function when the .vi is running. So, I did not maximize the .vi, and chose 'Size the front panel to the width and height of the entire screen' on the Window Size category under vi properties, and the task bar now works when the .vi is running. I feel that I should be able to have the front panel maximized, and still use the task bar. I do have 'Always on top' selected in my Start/Settings/Taskbar options. Thanks!

Task Bar Lock Up

Hello All,
My task bar on screen shows all A's inside square boxes instead of the normal commands. Additionally all drop down menus show the same symbols rather than the normal text.
Re-booting was no help.

Thanks for the quick response. I'm looking for my Install Tiger DVD. I can find everything else but that disc, still looking.
As for Updating the OS from the Software Update menu, I can't view the menu since is is replaced with those same A symbols, I can't navigate my way around the menu but I have been updating my software every time I get update reminders. Greg

Windows XP Task Bar Locking Up

I recently upgraded my Satellite Pro 6100 laptop memory from 256MB to 1GB. Ever since I did this, when the PC returns from hibernate mode, the Windows taskbar is locked up. I have to reboot the laptop to get things to work properly. Anyone out there have similar experience?

Did you disable, the re-enable Hibernation after you added the memory?
I'd recommend disabling, then restarting the machine, then enabling.
For older machines, when hibernation wasn't built in to Windows, there was a program to run to rebuild the hibernation file, but disabling and re-enabling it should do it now.

My first gen ipad wont rotate. The side button is on mute, the lock switch is on mute,the task bar at the bottom is not locked and i reset the all setting. still wont rotate.

Well then the screen definitely isn't locked.
i wonder of you close all pas in the task bar if that would help. Maybe you have an app that is causing the screen to stay locked. Try that and as if that does any good.
Double tap the home buttons and hold down on any icon until they all wiggle. Then start closing them all by tapping the minus signs. Tap the home button when you are done. Restart the iPad and then try again.

Lock NAC Agent in Task Bar

I would like to lock the NAC Agent in the task bar so that users can't exit out of the agent. Anyone have any ideas or ways to do this in the registry. Users do not have admin rights to the computer and can still exit out of agent.

But then again, what is the advantage for the user to disable the agent. If they disable it, they won't be able to access the network.

You have the lock icon towards the top right of the screen next to the battery indicator ? If you do then which iPad do you have ? If it's not the iPad Air 2 then you should have a Settings > General > Use Side Switch To option which controls what the switch on the side of the iPad, above the volume control does - if that is set to 'Lock Rotation' then you use that switch on the side to turn rotation on/off
If there isn't a lock icon at the top right then try a soft-reset and see if that gets the iPad to rotate again : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Lock icons appear twice in notification area of task bar

I just got my touchsmart IQ546t. I've noticed sometimes the caps, num, and scroll lock icons in the notificaiton area of the taskbar appear twice. Not sure if it is something to do with the wireless keyboard or not. For now I hid them, but I would like to fix it.

Which tasks are not present in the taskbar area?
As far as I know if the application was started as a background process it doesnt occur in the task bar.
Furthermore possibly during the installation some programs ask you if you want create the icon in the task bar.

Using internet banking the gold security lock is missing from bottom right task bar

I am disturbed that the 'safe & secure ' gold padlock symbol that usually appears when using Internet Banking is no longer down near the bottom right Task Bar area. I always log in via the 'Address Bar'. Any reason ? Many thanks.

Ideally you should focus on the new identity button that is explained in the previous posts.
However, there is an addon that adds the padlock icon to Firefox 4. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/padlock-icon/
Because the status bar at the bottom of the window is no longer shown by default, this addon displays the padlock inside the identity button. For users who are trained to look for a padlock, this might help them to move their attention to the new identity button.

I like having the tab bar at the bottom of the screen; I use the task bar AT THE BOTTOM to switch between programs, so I want the the tab bar AT THE BOTTOM to switch between web pages. The only way I've found to get the tab bar at the bottom of the screen is the extension Tab Mix Plus. I used it for a long time, and it worked great.
Unfortunately, when I recently updated to Firefox 14.0.1, I encountered an error: I could no longer middle-click on a link to open it in a new tab (which I do ALL the time). After some troubleshooting, I found that it was being caused by some incompatibility between Firefox 14.0.1 and Tab Mix Plus; upon removing Tab Mix Plus, my middle-clicking was back to normal.
But without Tab Mix Plus, I'm back to having the tab bar at the top of the screen. I've searched and searched, and I can't find anything besides Tab Mix Plus that will let me put the tab bar at the bottom of the screen. I've found tons of stuff about the option "tabs on top", but that has to do with putting the tab bar above/below the navigation bar--it's still at the top of the SCREEN either way.
What can I do?

Battery Icon is not visible in Task Bar - And is not charging. Please help

Firefox 8.0 occasionally disappears from task bar when minimized but keeps running

Running Firefox 8.0 on Windows XP, have 12 tabs open. Occasionally, when I minimize Firefox, it disappears from the task bar. I know that Firefox is still running because one of the open tabs is a radio station stream on Silverlight. The only way to get Firefox back is to click a link in an email then Firefox will open in a new tab (it is my default browser)

I am guessing it is because you minimise Firefox to the Windows Xp task bar but have ot either locked that or set it to be on top so it may disappear from view.
When the task bar is visible left click any space area on the taskbar the popup will have options including

Trouble pining shortcut to task bar

I'm trying to drag a shortcut to my yahoo email sign in site to the task bar. When I do, a window pops up telling me that Yahoo is pinned but, nothing shows on my task bar. The task bar is not locked. What do I need to do?
