Task List and MIC

Dear all,
Can you pls clarify what is task list and how it is related to MIC.
Regards
Sougata Das.

Hi,
In SAP PM ->We use Tasklist for preventive maintenance purpose , it is where we record set of Tasks/ operations that we need to perform for maintenance activities , the set of operations can be as specified in Manfacturers manual
MIC :- Master Inspection Characteristic we can link to operation in Tasklist
For one Operaiton in tasklist we can have any number of MICs linked ..
In PM :- We have Eqpt tasklist, Function location tasklist , General tasklist
Thus this Tasklist is used in Maintenance Plan with calibraiton order type PM06 , On scheduling in IP10 Order gets created with Tasklist operations , one releasing the Calibration order ->Inspection Lot gets created and MIC mentioned in tasklist ..

    Hi,
I have created a quality plant and assigned the MICs. When I am trying to Process the quality lot which is created automatically through QA32, I got an error, ,No inspection plan could be found'
When i create an inspection lot system is picking up the Task list and picking up the Sample size.
Please provide some light on this.

    Hello Kumar,
Check each and every point given in below document and come up with your observations.
I presume Inspection lot status consists CRTD.

  • Strategy in task list and Strategy based Maintenance Plan

    Dear Gurus,
    I have some doubt about
is it same if we create a single cycle plan with a task list in which maintenance strategy let say A is being used and a maintenance plan strategy based let say A and task list without any strategy
can some one explain use of strategy in task list and maintenance plan
    Regards
    Armaan

    Hi,
In Strategy Based Plans :- When ur entering strategy in initial screen of IP42 then inside the plan system will allow u to select tasklists created with that strategy only ...
In Single Cycle Plans :-  Here even though if u select tasklist of a particular strategy , system copies all the operations of the tasklist to the order...
From your above example :- Single Cycle Plan if cycle is monthly is equal to strategy based plan having only 1Month package .
further package in strategy allows u to select which operations of tasklist u want for 1Month..

  • Web Form in Task List and Security

    Hi,
I have a couple of specific questions regarding Task List; below is a simplified example of my questions
    1. Say, I have a 2 web forms (X,Y) that are part of a Task List 1. Group A has been given access to both web forms X and Y. Group A also has access to Task List 1. Group B has been given access to only web form X. Group B also has access to Task List 1. Now, everything is good for users belonging to Group A. However, users belonging Group B has a specific issue. They still see the "Web form Y" in the Task List Selection on the left. However they cant open the web form Y on the right side which is good.
My question is, is there a way to prevent users from even seeing this "Web Form Y" in the selection list? The problem is they shouldnt even see that particular web form as a choice and moreover this web form that they havent been given access to becomes part of the Task List completion status, forcing them to click on "Complete" for an empty web form.
Is there some setting that could prevent unassigned web forms based on security from showing up in the Task List for various groups (similar to security restricted members not showing up in web forms)? Or is creating several different Task List the only work around?
    2. I have started a WorkFlow via FILE->WORKFLOW->MANAGE PROCESS and defined required Scenario and Version members. This seems to work just fine for my created Task Lists with Web Forms. Is there another intermitent process to connect the WORKFLOW with the created Task Lists? Or does Hyperion Planning automatically assume the Task List belong to available WorkFlow?
Another question I have is in the Task List creation menu, when creating an individual Task, there are several options for "Task Type", one of which is WorkFlow. What is the difference between this WorkFlow option and the WorkFlow under the File menu? Is is that the WorkFlow created as Task becomes part of a Task List? Is that the only difference, ie make WorkFlow creation part of Task List versus not part of a Task List?
    Appreciate all your inputs
    Thanks

    Hi,
    1. Probably you may try "Manage Security filters", but im not sure. If it doesnt work then no way other than creating two tasklists.
    2. FYI, workflow will not promote either tasklist nor the webform. it only promotes the "DATA". u shud be careful creating forms for different level users ex: A basic user entry form cant be created for Next level user say manager. he l want to see only his entity level data not the level 0 in our terms.
    3. File->Workflow : will be used to start the workflow by the administerator.
Tasklist Type-> workflow : Will be used by the "users" to promote their subsequent data entered or loaded at their level

  • Plant Maintenance - Linkage between Task List and Maintenance Plan

    Sir,
In Plant Maintenance, I have an equipment for which there are 9 maintenance activities that have to be performed every year. Out of these 4 activities will be carried out every month. 1 activity will be carried out during the months of February, June and October. 5 activities will be carried out only in the month of December.
I need to create Task List for all these activities and subsequently create Maintenance Plans for all these Task Lists.
Can I group all the 4 activites which will be carried out every month into one single Task List, with separate operation nos and time against each activity?. I don't know whether it is correct or not.
If I use the above method I can create 3 Task Lists for this particular equipment with same Group no and 3 Group Counters.
How to create Maintenance Plan for the above scenario?.
Eventhough, 4 activites are carried out every month and they have been grouped into a single Task List (Group counter 1) and if these activites are carried out on different dates within a month how can I create Maintenance Plan and subsequently create a Maintenance Order?.
I need some help in this regard. A detailed reply will be helpful.
Can anyone throw some light in this regard.
    Regards,
    R. Vijayakumar

you need to create one task list with a maintenance strategy with packages and hierarchy to outline the work requirements i.e. some tasks to be carried out 3 monthly some 4 monthly etc, and also if common tasks appear in 3 monthly package vs 4 monthly package then to suppress the duplicating task
you would then define a strategy based maintenance plan and run it to get the respective maintenance orders

  • Task list and calendar apps cream of the crop?

whats the best task and calendar app.  I like my notebook app but it freezes.  What works best for you guys?

    Hi,
You can create your own reports for this purpose using some sql scripting on your application's repository schema. You could pass the below query to an asp/jsp page or to another 3rd party reporting tool. You can then attach the url to the task list of whoever needs to see this. Or simply enough, you can dump the results to an excel file and e-mail it.
    select     o3.Object_Name as UserName,
              o2.Object_Name as TaskListName,
              o.object_name as TaskName,
              case t.Task_Type
when 0 then 'Task List Header'
              when 1 then 'Documentation'
when 2 then 'Data Entry Form'
              when 3 then 'Business Rule'
              when 4 then 'Workflow'
              end as TaskType,
              T.DUE_DATE as Due_Date,
              ut.Completed_Date as CompletedDate,
              ut.Alert_Sent_Date as AlertSentDate
    from          hsp_task t
    inner join     hsp_object o on t.TASK_ID=o.OBJECT_ID
    inner join     hsp_object o2 on t.TASK_LIST_ID=o2.OBJECT_ID
inner join     hsp_user_task ut on ut.TASK_ID=t.TASK_ID
    inner join hsp_object o3 on ut.USER_ID=o3.OBJECT_ID
    Order By o3.Object_Name,o2.Object_Name
    Cheers,

  • Indicator on task list and order which shown Document is attached ?

    Hi,
I have attached a document in task list through PRT in task list succesfully. Is there a indicator  in task list which  tells that yes a document is attached to task list ?
Secondly is there a indicator in workorder which tells that yes a document is attached to this partcular task list ?
    Regards,
    Meghana

    Hi
Not sure about header level but in operation one check box is available for PRT.
If PRT is attached to operation check box is automatically selected..
On header screen at bottom you can see PRT check box if it is attached to first operation.

  • Material specification and Inspection plan - Task list usage

    Dear Friends,
In inspection type  Task list usage is assigned
    For Example
    inspection type 01  -  usage - 03
    inspection type 05  -  usage - 05
    inspection type 06  -  usage - 07
    inspection type 10  -  usage - 06
In my scenario i want to use all the above inspection type for a product
if i use mateial specification there is no any problem with my  Task list usage
If suppose i use inspection plan do i need to create different inspection plan with different usage
or is it possible to create one inspection plan with all the above usage
what about universal usage 03  can i use it
i try to use but system does not triggering inspection lot
can any one Suggest some ideas
    Many Thanks & Regards
    Raj

    Hi Raju,
All of first pls understand the concept of Task list and specification.
If you need to inspection any material in very systematic manner, where you will have well segregated operations where the appropriate Work Centers will be bind and under that hierarchy MIC will be attached. The inspection will be governed by some inspection points. And according the the same Samples will be calculated. When you wanna go with all these functionality then you must have to use Task list (Inspection plan).
And if you don't wish to have these functions then simply go with the material specification.
Now it comes the actual query about task list usage.
If there is a common inspection plan is supposed to be used for all the inspection types for your material then you can prepare only one inspection plan, put ant of the Usage to it it can be 05 or 03 universal. But what you have to do is,
Go to SPRO->Quality Management->Quality Inspection->Inspection Lot Creation->Maintain Inspection Types Execute and set the Task list usage as the same it is set in the inspection plan for all those Inspection types for which that common inspection plan is supposed to be used.
Note:- There is no any link between inspection lot creation and task list usage of inspection plan.

  • Q-Certificate Req: MIC created directly in task list

    Hi
I created a characteristic directly in the inspection plan. and did RR and UD for the lot after MIGO. I want this MIC to be present in quality certificate as well. How to get that? Presently I am getting all other MICs created via QS21, but not this one.

Have  you created a char in task list or MIC?
I thinks its a char & not MIC ,then it will not/never appear Quality Certificate.
You have to create MIC,release the same ,then assign the in task list & maintain same in the Certificate Profile.......then its appear in Certificate.
Simple char will not appear in Certificate

  • Inconsistency with maintenance cycle and task list phases in ChaRM

    Hi Experts,
    I'm deploying ChaRM with SolMan 4.0 SP09.
I was testing a scenario where there are more than one maintenance project open for same landscape (different logical components but values are the same). I have been using maintenance cycle document (in crmd_order) to control phase changes both in task list and in maintenance cycle.
I received an error message stating that the system has reset the status of the maintenance cycle and the end result was that task list phase is one step ahead of the maintenance cycle. This of course causes the situation where certain actions are no longer possible (maintenance cycle in Dev with release but task list already in test => release and import are not possible and reseting phase with task list is prevented by ChaRM).
My question is how do I restore the inconsistency. I have looked for notes (but of course this is not a notes issue) and the internet for solution.
I am very greatful for any hints you may give me!
    Kind regards,
    Auli

    Thank you!
Exactly what I'm trying to do. I'll give it a go and get back to you asap.

  • Making Sharpoint task list an Enterprise Project message Project is currently being updated and can't make change

I added a SharePoint task list to our PWA site. I then removed it and then added back. When I go to make the SharePoint task list an Enterprise project now I get a message dialog box that states "The project is currently being updated and we can't
make the change right now. Try again in a few minutes" I have been trying every hour or so and keep getting the message. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

    Hi Brett
Have you deleted the Task list and also the workspaces associated to it?
Are you creating with a new name or the same name?
    Try to take the verbose..

  • Email:  Workflow and Task List Notification

    Hi,
I am wondering whether the setting 'Workflow and Task List Notification' in application settings is functionality that I can use: I would like to setup the e-mail notifications for planning. One of the tasks on a standard task list that we would like end users to be able to do is to inform a particular user/group that a particular task has been completed. I would not like this task to be a workflow task, can e-mail notifications be sent for standard task list items?
    Options that I have reviewed:
    - Custom button on a dataform - not sure whether I can send parameters through to this, however I could use the form name as a description.
    - A *.jsp page that accepts two parameters 'Description / form name' and 'e-mail address' and the page then sends off an e-mail (Lotus Notes from WebLogic 9)
    - Workflow - although this inform task is not entity driven. Also the notifications are across plan types i.e. one cube enters in Information and then informs users of the second cube that figures are required - which we then import using xref.
Any advice would be much appreciated. I know it can be done, I am just looking for the easiest way to implement this using standard planning functionality where possible.
    Kind Regards,
    FC

The default email solutions in planning are using workflow or task lists, though the task lists are based on due dates.
If you wanted a solution where an email is sent out when a task list is complete, then one route could be to have a business rule attached to a task list and then the business rule uses a custom CDF to send out email notication.
If you are interested in sending emails from business rules then I did write a blog on the subject a while back.
    Cheers

  • Palm Pre Task List bugs and suggestions

I'm a new Pre owner, so maybe these things have been addressed.  I haven't found anything though.
With the latest OS update (1.4.1?), there are a couple of bugs or problems with the task list.
When changing the due date for a task, and backing up to the catagory list, the entry no longer resorts correctly.  It stays displayed in the list and shows the previous due date.  Though, if you tap the item details, it shows the updated date was saved correctly.
Sorting by date should secondarily sort by priority.  So if I look at today, all of the highs should be at the top, not scattered down on page 2-3.  Need to see the important stuff at a glance.
Also, when manually dragging to sort tasks, Entering a new task will reset the sorting so your manual sort is gone.  Manual sorting should be saved.
Are there workarounds for any of these things?  Is there a better app that will do what I'm looking for already?
    Thanks.

    Thanks for the feedback link.
As for the bugs, I can reproduce them every time.
Bug 1: no refreshing:  In the view all tasks list sorting by date, change the date on any item, swipe back to the all tasks list and the change is not registered, and the item stays in it's current location on the list, where it should resort in Date order.  Swipe up to the main page or close the app, reopen and the date shows fine.  Closing and opening causes the date to refresh.
I created a brand new list, added 2 tasks.  First task I entered with today's date.  Swiped back to the list (not all tasks this time, just the test list), and the date shows.  Entered second task, taped to change date, set date to tomorrow, swiped back to the test list and that date was not showing at all.  Tapped the first task to change the date to tomorrow, swiped back and that date still showed today while the second task still showed no date.
Note that this was all working fine without the bugs I'm reporting prior to 1.4.11.
Now, a new problem.  The test catagory I created above was the 7th list.  How do you get to that list on the main list page?  I cannot scroll or find it on the list.  Are there limits to the number of tasks/lists that can be entered?
    Bug2: Manual moving.
Previously, I hadn't left the list when I reported the problem.  Manual move would be reset if I entered a new task, tapped into details, then swiped back to the list.  However, what you describe also causes the bug.  If I manually move, swipe back up to the mail page, then tap back into the list, my manual change is gone.  Keep in mind this is using "Sort by date" as the default, but I would hope that manual sorting would override that.  Otherwise, what's the point of having both?
Thanks for your help.  If you cannot reproduce this, should I take it into a store for tech support so it can get reported properly and fixed?
