Task list characteristics values mass load

I'm loading the task lists using LSMW, however, when recording the batch input it is not possible to populate the characteristicsd values for the task list. Do you know about any way to load task lists characteristics values in mass, using LSMW?

Thanks for your replies, but I have already tried the LSMW route, but it is not at all helpful while loading the Operation Relationship and the Service Package details, as while recording I select some particular Operation in IA06, so it always tried to point out to that Operation, even if I mention the Different Operation Number in my loading file
Do you let me in detail, if anyone has done the specific Operation Relationship or Service package Load through LSMW

Hello experts,
I am using LSMW to upload Functional location Task lists Header & Operations in T-code IA12, for this i am using the Standard program IBIP (Object -> 480).
All required fields are in the standard structures apart from Operation QM Data, Recording view -> ERFSICHT & Inspection point Completion -> QPPKTABS (see attached screen shot).
Should i upload these 2 fields in different way ?

Generally, for all kinds of task list (Maintenance, Quality as well as Production), I tend to use BDC programs by which all the fields can be addressed. In standard, there are certain fields which might have got avoided for certain reasons.
So, I suggest you to look for some other options available.

PM:Task list Component addition

We are facing below issue.
1. In task list component screen, if we add a component via Direct entry, system create Standard BOM.
2. If we add the component via component selection from BOM, it creates the material BOM.
The second method is preferable as changes in BOM is reflected in task list as the link is maintained. This is not an issue if we are creating task list manually as we can select the component manually. But however, if we create task list via LSMW or load program, the issue arises.
When contacted SAP on OSS, SAP advised to use BADI IMRM_COMP_PROCESSING, method SET_COMP_PROCESSING with
E_CORRECTION_ACTIVE = ' '. This seems to resolve the issue. But I am not sure of the side effects.
Has any one implemented this BADI earlier and can share the experience?

hi,
U can assign material BOM in Tasklist header... there is a Assembly field... just enter the name of Material BOM. and Material BOM would be attatched to task list.
it will solve ur problem

Sorting Of List of Values when prompted

Hi ,
I have 6 objects in my universe Designer which were defined using Derived table at universe level , and the objects are arranged in alphabetical manner at universe level.
Now the problem araises to me is that, When I drag a particular object from the 6 and I run them Ad - hoc the data displayed at report level is ascending ( From A - Z it contains both numerical values, and Dimensions)
Now when I use the same object as a Prompt in query panel the list of values it is displaying in random manner,...........
I want to see those values in alphabetical way (from A - Z) at prompt level.............
I am Using Web Intelligence 4.0 ..
Please help me in this

for Instance,
I have a state object from a derived table and the object is sorted at universe level,
when I run the report (Ad - hoc) the data I am getting at Report level is
Alabama,
Chicago,
San Fransisco,
Texas..
Now wen I use the same object as a prompt the list of values are loading as
San Fransisco
Chicago
Texas
Alabama
I want to see these values in the Alphabetically arranged manner ,

You need to update setting for your Universe. Go to Universe Parameters - Parameter TAB and update FORCE_SORTED_LOV to Yes, see screen shot below. This fill FORCE all LOV to be sorted.
If you only want to change sort for the OBJECT then click of EDIT button for the Objects LOV and adjust adjust sort, see screenshot below

Modify List of Values for Task Numbers in standard webADI template

We are using webADI to load costs to Projects.
When User use the webADI template to load costs to the Projects, he has to enter the following data in the template -
1. Project Number
2. Task Number
3. Expenditure Item Date
4. Expenditure Organization
5. Amount
..... and so on....
User enter the Project Number first. Based on the selection of the Project Number, the corresponding Task Numbers are seen in the Task Number column.
Our requirement is, Users should not be able to select the Task Numbers in webADI whose Transaction Dates (Transaction Start Dates and Transaction End Dates) are beyond vis-a-vis the current system date.
In other words, can we modify the List of Values for Task Numbers in standard webADI template
Can this acheived.

Loading Operations Short Text for Task Lists

Hi Experts,
I am trying to update the Operation Short Text in a General Task List using IA06.
I am unable to carry out the operations short text update using an LSMW with a Recording as it is picking up the wrong operation number. Is there an easy way to update these using a different transaction or some other load method?

Hi joseph,
There are 3 things mixing up.
1. The comma(,) format of your present number can be modified to stop (.) format by your user- default values. i.e., Through any screen click on System --> User Profile --> Owndata -->Defaults Tab --> Here in Decimal Notation field select this format . Save the settings. With this your present comma format will be corrected to normal decimal format.
2. In your Tasklist the UOM was H not HR as shown in your CUNI picture. So you need to modify settings for H in CUNI.
3. My settings are as in the attached picture the way discussed in the referred thread.
Note: The member in the referred thread could succeed in his requirement which is exactly like yours. So I referred this thread. But inspite of having these settings in my system I am restricted to one decimal place as of yours, may be because of something else. You may try whether this works for you.

Create a SharePoint Designer Workflow and use "pause until date" option when an new item is created/update.
Using Server Object model, I believe you can create the timer job from item event receiver.

Error loading file in the operation long text in the General task list

I couldnt upload the detailed check lists in the operations (operation tab) of the general task lists through the long text uplaod via Text->Upload->RTF---> .System is throwing the following Information...
1.Error loading file " specified path with filename.rtf"
Could you please give me any idea to eliminate this.The client is having the detailed check list for each and every operation with safety measures to be taken.

How to find the list of material variant based on the characteristics value

We are creating materials variants for FERT Material Type in material master in MRP-3 view .There we configure the variant by attaching characteristics value
Now we want to have a report , which can give the list of material variants , if char value is given in selection
Can somebody guide me if there is standard report for this OR what is the linkage in Table , so that we can develop a report

I couldn't find a standard report to get the material variants based on characteristic values (the nearest I could find was CT12) but I wrote a report some time back here's the table join logic for the main select statement.

I included bare minimum fields to suite your requirement needs you can add whatever other field you want . Though I tested the table join, I suggest you to test it again before writing your own ABAP program using SE16N.

Setting Profile Value as default in Task List Initial Screen Profile Field

I have created a profile for enabling Network Graphic view for operation relationship in PM task list. Whenever i want to create task list i have to enter profile in initial screen to activate Network Graphic view. Can this profile be set as default, i mean whenever i create task list, profile field be filled automatically with predefined value instead of entering profile every time ?

Yes, you can default this Profile name by use of PIDs
Not at a system right now - can anyone help with the PID name??

It is also possible for each user to maintain their own settings. This can be done using the following menu:

Mass component substitution in Task List

Hi Gurus,
I'have so many Task Lists, and total have hundreds of line operations.
But, now there material substitution. Let say, previously in Taks List using Material/Component "A", and now material "A" substituted become material/compenent "B".
How could we do change (mass change) to all Component in Task List that previously using "A" and than replaced by "B" and how about if there are unit of measure differences .
How do we do it ? Any T-Code to do this ?

The material will be replaced, with the follow up material, once there isnt sufficient quantity available to satisfy the demand from the reference date entered on the MRP screen.
However, it looks like this replacement of the follow up material only works if you manually enter the orginal material in the components tab or if you import the material from a BOM.This doesnt seem to work if the material is directly associated to the Task list(Even though this is also assigned a BOM number of Type "standard") . When you import the task list into the order, the Original material is not replaced with the Follow up material if there isnt sufficient stock available.This looks like a bug to me, you may want to consider raising a OSS note to see where that leads you, otherwise my apologize for misleading you. We had used the BOM and this worked perfectly for us,hence i was pretty sure this would work for materials assigend directly to task list(Since this also had a BOM number and type assigned to it).

Loading Issue on Task list

Hello Guys,
I am using LSMW for loading funtional locational task list. Since I have only one operation, I prefer LSMW and also maintain the seprate file for loading the frequencies for maintenance plan as well. I have a situtation as,
Floc A   - 1M   -   Strategy A
Floc A   - 1W - Strategy B
Floc A   - 1M - Strategy A
Now, my plan is to load the task list first and once I get the task list group number, I will load the frequency on it. Since it has the same repetitive floc , I should have 3 different rows in my task list load file as I wanted to have three different task list numbers since I got different frequencies. But if I start loading in system, it throws the error message as soon as the first task list has been loaded. I understand this is correct because I already created the task list once in the system.
So how do I acheieve the other two lines in the system ? I really dont want to go with increasing counters as it will have the same group number with different frequencies.

Hello,
I think you can not go ahead with having same Counter Number for One Group.If you are creating the FL task list it will create the Unique Group Number.after theat If you try to create the FL task List for Same FL it will suggest you the New Counter Number with Same Group Number its standard.So I think so You can create the FL task list with one Group Number and Only one counter number once that FL already have Task list booked under that number.Also process point of view it is confusing having single FL task List with same identical data with more that one in quantity so how you and system identyfies the which of the FL task list is used if all FL task List having same Identification.Thats why counter is necessary.

How to populate list of values on screen load

Hi all,
I have a list of values based on another field (ANOTHER_FIELD).
e.g.
select value d, value r
from table_name
where id = :ANOTHER_FIELD;
ANOTHER_FIELD has default value.
But when the screen is opened the list of values doesn't get the default value and the list of values is empty.
Just when submmiting the form, the list of values is populated.
Please tell me how can I populate the list of values on screen load.

So, you have created a computation for ANOTHER_FIELD but the related list still does not get any values? And, the default value for ANOTHER_FIELD is a valid value that can be used to populate the related list?
Have you set anything for the "Display Null" settings for the related list? Or, is the default value a value will always be in the list?
