Task Lists Alerts Will Not Send Using AD Groups

SharePoint 2010 (upgraded from 2003 to 2007 to 2010)
Exchange Server 2013
Alerts on Task Lists will not be sent if "Send Alerts To" is determined by AD group rather than being identified by specific user account.
This was working previous to our Exchange servers being upgraded to 2013, but sometime afterwards (we are not sure it was directly after) they stopped working. Our test server (straight 2010 install) still sends these alerts. The "you have
successfully created an alert" still works in both environments.
I have tried this on a new Task List, recreated the alerts, restarted the alert service, still no dice. The service is clearly still running, since it will send an alert to someone who is specified by their user account instead of just part of the
AD group. It can't be an Anti-virus or filter issue, since the same users can receive an alert when they are added directly to it, but not if they are added through a group. We have verified the settings in AD (and it's still working on the test
server anyway) and I can't think of what else to check.
( I followed all of the steps in the marked answer for
this post as well)
Could this be something spcific to the 'upgraded' version of SharePoint? That is the only obvious difference between our Prod and Test servers. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Inderjeet: The groups are both AD and Exchange, that terminology may have escaped me in my explanation. I'm a weird admin because I know little about the standard windows side and only work in Project Server and SharePoint.
The alerts work on our test server for the groups specified, and the "an alert has been created" function works just fine, so it seems like SharePoint is able to determine who is in the list and send to exchange just fine. It's just the "Alert me"
function for new items or changed items, etc, that's not sending. Thanks for your help!

IPhone will not send or receive group messages

I recently got an iPhone because I needed to be able to group text with my boss and coworkers. However, upon getting a brand new iPhone 4s (Verizon) I discovered that my phone still does not send or receive group texts. I have turned on group messaging so I should be receiving them. Any ideas on what is wrong? Is it something I can fix or do I need to go to the Apple store?

Make sure MMS is On in Settings > Messages.

Mail will not send to smart Group

I have several smart groups set up and have been using them for mail distribution for years. All of a sudden, yesterday, several of them will not work for Mail. I can't expand the group and I press the send button- nothing happens. Any Suggestions?

Are you dragging the Group to the TO: box, or the BCC: box?
How many arein the Group?

Mail will not send to a Group from my Address Book

When I use a group in "Mail" to send an email, the email only reaches those with Blackberry's or .mac accounts. I even expanded the list and it still did not send. Can anyone please help???

Mail will not send to a Group (at all)

I have a group of 5 (yes, only 5 people so no mass mailing limitations) people created in Address Book
I've dragged the Group name across into my email
When I Send, I get an error saying there are no addresses in my email
So I edit the email...ask it to Expand the Group...I get a blank
I've checked each person in the Group and their emails are present and correct
Anybody have any idea what's going on here? Thanks...

I have the same problem with Mail (4.5). I have never had this issue before and have been using groups for years. There are 12 student email addresses in my group. I get no error message when I try to send. Nothing at all happens. It is like I never clicked on the "send" button. I checked all the addresses to be sure they were valid. I emailed each person separately and that worked fine. Obviously I don't want to send out 13 emails, though. I tried typing the name of the group into the address field and I tried dragging the group name from Address Book (5.0.3). Nothing. I am also noticing on my ipad, that the groups I made today to test this out will not be recognized by iTunes so I can't sync them.

I've been an AT&T customer since they were under different names in the 90s and have never heard/seen that. I would check with them. I'd really like to see that error. To get a screenshot on the phone, press the home button and sleep/wake button together quickly and release. You will see the screen flash slightly and hear the camera shutter noise.

I had the same problem. I went in and added my email address to iMessage and deleted the text to my friends that have iPhones and sent another to test it and it worked. Only thing is now my non iPhone friends don't receive my pic text. I had to turn off iMessage for it to work. Apple needs to fix this ASAP!

Hmmm, their info may be out of date, but their site said SSL should be OFF & Port 110.
Some notes on mail...
Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over.
You may have multiple entries.
Open Keychain Access in Utilities, enter the part after the @ sign in the search bar, hit enter
The Password rejection can confuse people since it's a catch all meaning...
This Password, Username, Authentication method... is not recognized on this Port to this Server, more than one entry in Keychain for each in/out entry, or a server end problem.
If using a browser to login via WebMail works it's not Name or Password, but one of the other ones.
The receiving email ports are:
IMAP is port 143
IMAP-SSL is port 993
POP is port 110
POP-SSL is port 995
Outgoing ports are...
SMTP and SMTP-SSL is on ports 25, 587 and 465. Port 587 has to be SSL, and port 465 is enforced TLS-wrapped and is generally used by Outlook users.

My ipod touch will receive email, but will not send. I use hotmail.

I use hotmail on this ipod. It will send email without a problem, but it will not send at all. It gives me the message....a copy has been placed in your outbox. Since the I0S6 update, my phone will not send or receive picture messages unless it's being sent through iMessage.
I know of other people having the same problem, with different versions of the phone and different carriers.

Friend has the iPhone 4s with Verizon.

Check settings/message and make sure MMS is ON. Also chcek that your carrier/your plan allows sending of pictures over MMS
