Task notification script & smart folks

Has anybody smarter than me done anything cool with the Task Notification Script at
/Library/Application Support/Apple/Remote Desktop/Notify
I have it sending me notification of success and failure. It would be nice if it included info on:
• reasons for failure
• successes by machine name or IP addresss
• failures by machine name or IP address
• info on pending tasks
I'm sure you can think of additional items.

The sample Notify script in /Library/Application Support/Apple/Remote Desktop shows pretty much what you can expect to achieve though the use of the task notification script.
It gets passed 2 pieces of data. The task (class) and the final state of the task. The sample script sends an email to a pre-configured user, but you could easily create a version that would append the text to a file, or write out a new file using either defaults or PListBuddy.

Has anyone had any experience with these scripts? I have a requirement to have each task logged for auditing purposes and am wondering if that task notification script could export an xml file with the details of each task. That file can then be imported into a task logging system.
    Thanks

Now if again this ORA-00942: table or view does not exist is coming, possibility is that there is no issue regarding privileges as you already have given all privileges to DEV_OIM...
Anyway try again giving full permissions to it just in case for some reasons permissions might have reset...

  • How to get feedback messages for schema creation script created by Tasks- Generate Script

    I am using sql server 2008 R2. I created a script file by using Tasks->Generate Scripts. I
selected option so only create statements are generated for all objects – tables, indexes, views, functions etc in the database.
Then when I used this generated  script to create objects in another database in SSMS, it created the objects but did
not give me any feed back, i.e., table created, view created etc. I thought my script did not run , but when I refreshed left panel
of SSMS and I can see all created objects.. So question is what  is needed to get
feedback when  sql statements are run..

You need to add the PRINT statements yourself for that. The wizard will not do it for you.

  • Cant delete task notification in Outlook 2010

In my Office we use Outlook 2010 and I assign tasks to various people.  When they accept the task I receive a notification however in the last few days I have received a few notifications that I can't delete.  When I select the notification in
my Inbox it says "This item cannot be displayed in the Reading Pane.  Open the item to read its contents" however if I try to open it I get "Cannot open this item.  The attempted operation failed.  An object could not be found."
If I try to delete the task notification I get "The attempted operation failed. An object could not be found.".
I've tried running the repair function but it didn't help.  How can I fix this so it doesn't happen going forward and delete these email?
    Thank you for the help!

    Hi,
The first thing you need to do is to make sure Outlook is fully patched.
Some anti-virus program may cause this issue, to verify that, please disable the firewall and anti-virus program, then start Outlook, check if the issue persists.
You can also run Outlook in Safe Mode to determine if it's 3rd-party add-ins related:
Press Win + R and type “outlook.exe /safe” in the blank box, then press Enter.
If there’s no problem in Safe Mode, disable the suspicious add-ins to verify which add-ins caused this issue.
Note For the steps above, I suggest you test with the new notifications.
You can also try the following and check if it helps:
Click on the File menu –> Options, navigate to Advanced tab and scrolled down to Send and receive section, then click on the Send/Receive button. In the ‘Send/Receive Groups’ window, click on Edit tab. In the
‘Send/Receive Settings’ window, click to select the email account under ‘Accounts’ and then click to select the ‘Download Complete Items’ option. Make sure the option “Download only headers for items larger then” is unchecked/not selected and click on Ok.

  • Overdue Task Notification Time Specifics

Does anyone know if there is away to set Overdue Task Notifications from workflows to be set such that they only run during business hours?  My CIO is getting overdue task notifications beginning at midnight and I'd like to change them to start getting
sent out at 7 AM. Is there any job definition I can modify, or PowerShell I can run.

    Hi,
Select the task list from Workflow List of Designer 2010 .Use "Add Time to Date" or "Pause until date" actions and then Pause for 7 hours, Select action as "Start Approval Process". Choose Start workflow automatically when an

  • Human task notification after due date/expiration date/...

I would like to set a due date (or expiration date) to Human task, and set some notification before this time. Ok, it seemed very easy:
    - i set due date to 5 minutes in human task -> Deadlines
    - i set notifications in human task -> notification and in tab Advanced i set remind once 2 minutes before due date
Nothing happens. Exactly same (nothing) happens when i do the same with expiration date.
But what exactly is meaned under word "Reminder"?
It's mail? (then where I have to set email adress? I tried to set a "to" field in human task -> notification -> tab Advanced -> notif. header attributes => nothing happened)
    It's worklist inbox message?
Or what ist "reminder" and how it should remind me?
    Edited by: user1175491 on Dec 28, 2010 7:21 PM

    Hi,
I don’t know if you’ve managed to resolve this issue yet and you mention you have emails working from BPEL, but I'm not sure if you've got any notifications working for the Human Task, if not then I have done some work with the human task notifications and although I’ve not tried to do what you’re doing, this is what I have learned.
Firstly to receive any notifications you need to configure the Messaging Driver and Workflow Notification Properties…
In Enterprise Manager expand [farm] -> SOA -> soa-infra
Right click soa-infra and choose SOA Administration -> Workflow Notification Properties
Underneath the page title (Workflow Notification Properties) is a note telling you to configure the Messaging Service Driver. Click the "Go to the Messaging Driver page" link.
In the associated drivers section you will have a single entry for soa_server1 (or what ever it's called for you). In the right hand column there is a button for configuring the driver, click this.
In the driver specific configuration, scroll down to OutgoingMailServer and enter the hostname or IP address of your mail server, then click Apply at the top of the screen.
Now go back to the Workflow Notification Properties screen and choose “Email” from the notification Mode and enter some sensible email addresses in the Notification Service section. It’s useful to have real email addresses in here at the moment because any failures will be returned to this address.
You now need to restart Weblogic for these changes to take affect.
After the restart you can test the notifications by doing the following
Back in Enterprise Manager expand [farm] -> SOA -> soa-infra
Right click soa-infra and choose Service Engines -> Human Workflow
Click on the Notification Management tab.
You can click the "Sent Test Notification" button to make sure everything is working ok. This screen also allows you to monitor notifications for failures.
Now that the notifications have been set up you can configure who gets notified on which events against your human task in JDeveloper.
The email addresses for the users are retrieved from your identify provider for the relevant user, by default this is the internal LDAP directory. I’m not using this, so I’m not sure exactly how this will work. There are options in the worklist application for individual users, but I’m not using this either.
Now that this is set up you can configure the human task within JDeveloper. On the notification tab you can decide who gets notified when. By default when a task is assigned to a user, the assignees are notified, you can play about with these settings to see what works best for you. Have a look at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/integration.1111/e10224/bp_workflow.htm#BABBHDGF for more information.
I’m not sure I’ve solved your problem, but I hope this at least helps.

  • Task Scheduling Script - Need help with passing the scheduled command (variables are not being evaluated)

    Hi Everyone,
I'm trying to get a simple task scheduler script to work for me and can't get the command I need passed to the scheduler to evaluate properly.
    Here's the script:
###Create a new task running $Command and execute it Daily at 6am.
$TaskName = Read-Host 'What would you like this job to be named?'
    $Proto = Read-Host 'What is the protocol? (FTP/FTPS/SFTP)'
$User = Read-Host 'What is the user name?'
    $Pwd = Read-Host 'What is the password?'
$Server = Read-Host 'What is the server address?'
$NetworkDir = Read-Host 'Please input the network location of the file(s) you wish to send. Refer to documentation for more details.'
$RemoteDir = Read-Host 'Please input the REMOTE directory to which you will upload your files. If there is none please input a slash'
    $Command = 'winscp.com /command "option batch abort" "option confirm off" "open $Proto://$User:$Pwd@$Server" "put $NetworkDir $RemoteDir" "exit"'
    $TaskAction = New-ScheduledTaskAction -Execute "$Command"
    $TaskTrigger = New-ScheduledTaskTrigger -Daily -At 6am
Register-ScheduledTask -Action $TaskAction -Trigger $Tasktrigger -TaskName "$TaskName" -User "Administrator" -RunLevel Highest
Write-Host "$TaskName created to run Daily at $TaskStartTime"
What's messing up is the $Command creation, the command needs to have the quotes around "option blah blah", but if I wrap the whole line in single quotes the variables that are evaluated for the "open blah blah" strings (which also need
to be inside quotes) and the "put blah blah" string are not being evaluated properly.
I've dorked about with different bracketing and quoting but can't nail the syntax down, could someone point me in the right direction? My Google-fu seems to be lacking when it comes to nailing down this issue.
    Thanks

Hmmn, closer. I'm getting this error now:
    + $Command = $tmpl -f  $User, $Pwd, $Server, $NetworkDir, $RemoteDir
    + ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
        + CategoryInfo          : InvalidOperation: (winscp.com /com...t {4} {5}" exit:String) [], RuntimeException
        + FullyQualifiedErrorId : FormatError
And the command being added to the new task looks like this:
winscp.com /command "option batch abort" "option confirm off" "open ($Proto)://($User):($Pwd)@($Server)" "put $NetworkDir $RemoteDir" "exit"
Here's the current state of the script. I get what you're doing to try to bypass the quotes issue, using an array. I'm just not awesome at this yet sooooooo...
    $tmpl = 'winscp.com /command "option batch abort" "option confirm off" "open {0}://{1}:{2}@{3}" "put {4} {5}" exit'
    $Command = $tmpl -f $User, $Pwd, $Server, $NetworkDir, $RemoteDir
    $TaskAction = New-ScheduledTaskAction -Execute $Command
    $TaskTrigger = New-ScheduledTaskTrigger -Daily -At 6am
Register-ScheduledTask -Action $TaskAction -Trigger $Tasktrigger -TaskName "$TaskName" -User "Administrator" -RunLevel Highest
Write-Host "$TaskName created to run Daily at $TaskStartTime"

    Hi Experts
In SRM7.0 there is a link Workoverview.
Please let me know the functionality of the Tabs in Work Overview like Alerts Tasks Notifications.
    Thanks in advance.

    Dear Munny Bhanu
It not possible to do it in ECC 5.0. If you are having ECC6.0 Then follow the follwong path.
SPRO--> SAP IMG Setting --> Plant Maintenance and Customer Service --->Maintenance and Service Processing --->  Maintenance and Service Orders ---> Functions and Settings for Order Types --> Functions and Settings for Order Types
In that You have to first define view profile for Orders & then assign it to order types.
I hope this will resolve your issue.

  • Determining name of failed target in a notification script.

I have a job which is being run against many database targets. I have a notification script which is called when a job fails, however I cannot see any environment variable which informs me against which particular target the job fails. All I see in the environment variables are a list of all the jobs targets and their types. Is there a way to find out the names of the failed targets from sysman views/tables?

    Hi
a UDM is a User Define Metric, that extent the posibilities of monitoring any type of activity in your targets.
    Example
Imagine that you have a special table that records the errors in an application. If you create a UDM for count the rows in a day , you can determine warning and critical thresholds for controllin the quantity of erros.
Go to Grid Control Console --> Targets --> Databases
Select the database that you want monitoring this table
In the home page of target database go down and press the button User Define Metrics
Press Create in the UDM page and the creation page of UDM appear
    In the sql query write
    select count(*) from owner.t_errors
In the warning : 50 In the critical : 70
Establish the frecuency of recopilation and press create. You have a metric that monitoring the rows in this table.
The special situation of your enviroment, is that you have control of the status of a JOB and the target that this job fail.
Tell me that you want monitoring and i send you the sql query for build the metric. This UDM must be created in the repository target database.

  • Email task notifications with form attachment for approval

I have a process that is started in Workspace and I have the preferences set for each of the users in the workflow to get task notifications via email with the form attached so they can approve/deny tasks in Reader/Acrobat without having to go back into Workspace.
The email works fine, the form is sent to the assigned user, however I'm a bit lost as to what to do in my process so when the user clicks the submit button the XDP data is sent to the right place. Poking around here it looks like I need to set up a Complete Task with an email endpoint? My forms have the Process Fields component already attached to them and looking at the data.xdp it is populating with the task ID and other data.
If that's that case a little bit of instructions on how to configure the Complete Task is in order for me. Do I put it on after each of the steps in the process that the form is transferred to different users, thus initiating more emails.
    Thanks,
    Mike

I have added an Email endpoint to the process.<br />The mail gets removed from the inbox as i would expect but i get an error email.<br /><br />LiveCycle ES has tried to process your request and encountered the following error:<br />Cannot coerce object: <document state="active" senderVersion="3" persistent="false" senderPersistent="true" passivated="false" senderPassivated="true" deserialized="true" senderHostId="127.0.0.1//10.64.128.161" callbackId="0" senderCallbackId="27" callbackRef="null" isLocalizable="true" isTransactionBound="false" defaultDisposalTimeout="600" disposalTimeout="600" maxInlineSize="65536" defaultMaxInlineSize="65536" inlineSize="2326" contentType="application/xdp" length="-1"><cacheId/><localBackendId/><globalBackendId/><senderLocalBackendId/><senderGl obalBackendId/><inline><?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <?xfa generator="XFA2_4" APIVersion="2.6.7120.0"?> <xdp:xdp x...</inline><senderPullServantJndiName>adobe/idp/DocumentPullServant/adobejb_server1</se nderPullServantJndiName><attributes file="form_data.xdp"/></document> of type: com.adobe.idp.Document to type: class com.adobe.idp.taskmanager.form.impl.xfa.XFARepositoryFormInstance<br /><br />I had to set the mapping to *.xfa otherwise the email would just be ignored.<br />It seems to me that livecycle is not clever enough to pick up an email that its own form sent to the server.<br />Furthermore it would seem that an inbox must be unique for livecycle to pick up any submitted forms. That makes the whole send form to user thing worthless, since the form send to the user ALWAYS has the standard livecycle submit email address. That means per livecycle server you can have exactly one process that has an email endpoint for in process form submissions/reminders.<br />An email inbox should work exactly like watched folders, i.e. email patterns per workflow.
