Task Outcome buttons disapeared

Hello
I created new custom content type with "Workflow Task (SharePoint 2013)" content type as its parent, I removed in my new custom content type default task outcome and I added a new one with another choices (Yes/No/Maybe).
When I'am using this new custom content type in my workflow task, for some reason there is no choices button. I just see two buttons there Save and Cancel, but I should see three more buttons - Yes, No and Maybe. Just like with default content type there
is two another buttons Aprroved and Rejected.
Please Help!
Thanks

Same problem here--they used to be buttons, and now it's a dropdown. But in my case, I'm still using the same Task Outcome column and options that were there by default. However, in addition for me, the "Show More" link doesn't show up in the forms.
I noticed this happen to me after I changed the column ordering in the content type and added a "Comments" column. Now that I've put it back to the way it was, the dropdown is still there.
"% Complete" and "Task Status" fields are both optional in my content type so that's not the cause in my case. Any updates? This challenge has proven to be quite frustrating.

  • Task outcome button in Infopath not visible to users having contribute access

    Hi,
    I have followed the article to add an additional button:
    http://thinketg.com/approve-or-reject-what-about-a-third-option-in-sharepoint-2010-approval-workflows/
    The site was earlier in 2010, and now migrated to 2013. But the workflow is working fine.
    The additional button in InfoPath is visible to users having full control, but not getting visible to users having contribute access.
    Setting permission to full control in site is showing the button, but I cannot change the permission of users.
    How to fix this?
    Thanks

    hi,
    in SharePoint 2013 there is another level of permission.

  • Task Outcome Field - Crawled Property not created

    Hi,
    SharePoint is not creating crawled property for the OOB Task Outcome
    field... Is this by design or is it possible to include this field in search..
    Regards,
    Muthukumar

    Hi Muthukumar,
    Per my knowledge, there is not an OOB way to create a crawled property for Task Outcome field.
    As a workaround, you can try to create a new column in the tasks list, then create an Event Recevier on the tasks list to handle the item is added or updated. In the Event Recevier, sest the new column to the Task Outcome. After that, do a full crawl to
    find the crawled property for the new column, and use the new column instead of Task Outcome.
    More information about creating Event Recevier, please refer to the link:

  • 2 questions - missing boot image, create mdt task sequence button missing

    I'm learning SCCM 2012.  I am watching a training video and the instructor shows a "Create MDT Task Sequence" button at the top of his ribbon bar when going into Task Sequence.  I do not have this button - where did it go?  I am
    using 2012 SP1.
    All I see is "Create Task Sequence" and "Create Task Sequence Media" but not "Create MDT Task Sequence".
    Also - I only have an x86 boot image, and no x64.  How do I get this into my inventory?
    Thank you
    Nathan

    "Create MDT Task Sequence" will be visible after you install MDT and integrate it to SCCM.
    MDT is different product and not part of default SCCM installation.
    You can integrate MDT to SCCM to create advanced Task Sequence if the default is not suitable for your needs.

  • Bug: Universal app input controls (i.e. Start Menu, Task view buttons) ignoring and missing interpretative translation for legacy input control context request (right-click)

    Redundant post - however the topic (title) is different to point out the potential of adding translation for right-click to universal app input controls. The part about a solution for translation is in bold at the bottom of this post ...
    Bug: Universal app input controls (i.e. Start Menu, Task view buttons) ignoring and missing interpretation translating right-click to a left-click to activate context (menu) in universal app web style (similar to oo context menu for oo legacy style).
    Bug: Task view: OO context menu: Should show "nothing" (like right-click Start Menu button) - but right click Task view shows the oo context menu for the Task bar (wrong context)
    Besides behaving wrongly (should be like right clicking the Start button) ....
    the problem is the user is likely to look for actions on that context menu.
    However to activate the context menu for this universal app kind of behavior you actually need to left-click the button for the Task view ... and then you get the universal app like context menu.
    Microsoft must have been trying to figure out what to do about this kind of voupling mismatch between legacy (right-click) and universal app (left-click) conmtext menus. confusing for users it weill become nevertheless.
    But the left-click style supports touch.
    One solution though is to support right-click on i.e. Task view and Start button. Thus for new kind (universal app kind-of)input controls - right-click will work (instead of just being ignored) just like left-click. Allthough not a correct left-click
    - it will be helpful and interpretive translating the intension of receiving a context. A practical solution with right-click translating into left-click for universal app controls considering that the context menu actually has become a hybrid of left-click
    and right-click (with a precedence for left-click though)

    This is a great post.
    I couldn't have written it myself better.
    I'm also in dying need of Korean input as I can't communicate with my Korean friends.
    But I second every point.
    I hope the tech teams are reading this.

  • Human Task - Custom buttons outcomes doesn't visible

    Hello,
    I made a simple human task with custom outcomes (Aprovar and Reprovar) in portuguese - brazil. It's equals Approve and Reprove.
    But my 2 buttons doesn't visible.
    <af:commandToolbarButton actionListener="#{invokeActionBean.setOperation}"
    text="#{wf:getResourceValue('Aprovar', 'bindings.customActions')}"
    disabled="#{!bindings.Aprovar.enabled}"
    action="#{invokeActionBean.invokeOperation}"
    partialSubmit="false"
    *visible="#{wf:isCustomActionAvailable('Aprovar', 'bindings.customActions')}"*
    id="ctb1">
    <f:attribute name="DC_OPERATION_BINDING"
    value="bindings.Aprovar"/>
    </af:commandToolbarButton>
    What's errors could happening ?
    Thanks.

    I found a solution.
    In the task file (xml), there is a parameter called <enableAutoClaim>true</enableAutoClaim>
    Could anyone explain me why this works ?
    This is a bug ?
    http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:BSLT61xE8pcJ:download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e15176/human_task_bpmpd.htm+enableAutoClaim&cd=4&hl=en&ct=clnk&client=ubuntu
    In the link above, there is a citation "the enableAutoClaim is TRUE by default".
    But my buttons APPROVE and REJECT only is displayed when i explicitly set this parameter.
    Thanks

  • Custom Edit Forms missing Outcome Buttons

    I've created a Content Type "MyTaskContactType" which inherits from Workflow Task (SharePoint 2013) which inherits from Task.
    I've added an Outcome Choice with a value of "Completed" on "MyTaskContentType".  It shows when I create a Task in workflow using it.
    The list it uses is "Workflow Tasks".  If I use the default  Editform.aspx it shows a button called "Completed" when the assigned task is edited.
    I really only need the description Column to display, along with the button "Completed", however.
    So I created a custom Edit form "MyCustomEditForm" using the "New" forms in designer.  I selected Edit as type and the content type I created ("MyTaskContactType").
    The problem is no matter what I try, the "Completed" button will not display on "MyCustomEditFrom".  In addition I don't know how to get rid of the irrelevant "Save" button.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.
    Tom

  • Task Outcomes with spaces

    Hi ,
    We have a problem when trying to generate an ADF based on Human task definition template when trying to generate the Human Task display from ,the problem is when the task contains a n outcome with space(ex. 'A B C' ) we got an error with the binding.
    the same outcomes operates from the worklist action menu but when clicking the Action buttons from the form we got the error.
    can any body helps in this issue.
    Thanx.
    Edited by: arababaah on Sep 12, 2010 11:38 PM

    I've run into problems trying to do this as well.
    As a workaround, I just altered the outcomes to not use spaces and after generating the task form just went into the .jspx file and altered the "text" attribute of the generated af:commandToolbarButton to have whatever label we want for the button, including the spaces. This way the user will see whatever text on the button you want to show, but the bindings and engine will use the more normalized version without the spaces.

  • Missing Task Outcomes in ADF Project for BPEL Human Task

    Hi
    I am using SOA Suite 11g (11.1.1.5) and have created a Human Task in my composite application and then auto-generated the appropriate task form using the wizard which has been successful and created the ADF project.
    My task has 3 outcomes the responses of which are then mapped out in the BPEL process.
    When the human task is raised it puts a notification in the BPM worklist as expected however the 'Actions' list on the notification is blank? I was expecting there to be 3 values in the Actions list one for each of my outcomes.
    I have tried re-building the ADF project from scratch from the task flow but still no joy.
    I have not changed the ADF project over its default.
    My next step is to look into the binding on the Actions picklist but I thought this was standard functionality and that the wizard handled this at the point of form generation.
    Any assistance greatly appreciated.

  • Task Outcome does not populated in the BPM Worklist

    Hi,
    I have created several Human task with different outcome, i.e
    Task 1 - Input Data; Outcome = Submit, Hold
    Task 2 - Verify Data; Outcome = Approve, Reject, Reassign
    The process was created and deployed successfully on the Weblogic server, however, when I execute the task, the "Outcome" Column on the BPM worklist never shown up and it was blank , does the outcome automatically mapped, or do I have to additionally bind it to the process variable? Thanks in advance.

    To use the value of the Outcome in the process layer, you would be required to capture it in a dataobject/attribute of type string.

  • Problem in setting the task outcome programmatically

    Hi,
    I am trying to set the outcome of a human task programatically using the BPM API.I am using the following piece of code to achieve this:-
    taskService = wfServiceClient.getTaskService();
    task=taskService.updateTaskOutcome(wfContext, task.getSystemAttributes().getTaskId(), "SUBMIT");
    But what is happening is although the task form is being submitted and I can only see it in the completed list of tasks in the BPM workspace, the process flow is getting stuck at the human task node.Do I have to call anyother method in order to move the process flow to the next activity? I tried with :-
    taskService.submitInfoForTask(wfContext, task);
    But I am getting an exception.Any help is highly appreciated.
    Thanks

    If the Human Task shows status complete, then it's possible that there was an error in the output data association in the process. In EM do you see a fault on the output for the Human Task activity, or if PS4FP the process will go to suspended state if the data association fails.

  • Making a button disapear when not selected

    Is there anyway I can make it so my custom button apears when it is selected, but disapear when it's not (rather than a color change). I can't seem to figure this out. Any suggestins would be greatly appreciated.
    Salil Sundresh

    That didn't seem to work because I have a video file as the background and I am still getting the keyed colors as highlight rather than an image file.
    This is Basically what I want to do, but in DVD SP:
    http://salsunproductions.sitesled.com/misc/testrollover/testrollover.htm
    The arrow should be an IMAGE file, NOT a highlight color that DVD SP creates. Is this even possible? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • Redefine (suppress) available task outcomes at runtime

    Hi.
    I'm a bit confused about implementing a scenario like this using few human tasks and forms:
    1- customer makes a request
    2- backoffice examine the req: two outcomes are available: (a) reply and close SR (b) ask for details. The task form should contain proper input fields to handle both cases.
    3- IF outcome(2) = 'reply' THEN goto end ELSE send e-mail to customer asking for details.
    4- customer may provide details or not.
    5- after getting details or timeout, backoffice examine the req again and at this time they must reply to customer and cannot ask for more details.
    END- Email response to customer and close SR.
    Now my doubt:
    conceptually, the task at #5 should be "Examine details" with only 'reply' outcome. Anyway, in practice it's the task at #2 where (b) outcome and related fields are suppresed/disabled.
    How would you implement such a scenario? Two different tasks and forms, or only one task and redefining outcomes at runtime?
    SOA is 11g.
    Thanks in advance,
    Michael

    any suggestion?
    thank you very much,
    Mick

  • STARTING NEW TASK - no button in the taskbar

    Hi experts.
    I present a PDF report from my SAP-application in it's own session, using CALL FUNCTION 'ZXXX' STARTING NEW TASK 'TEST'.
    It works fine but the new session/task has no button in the taskbar.
    If I press ALT+TAB I can see the session on the list, but I would like to see it in the taskbar as well, just like all my other open sessions.
    What is wrong?

    That's fine, but not a solution to my problem.
    Can I make some kind of workarround to show the taskbar-buton?

  • Collecting Signatures on InfoPath Forms using Collect Signatures Workflow - Task Sign Button doesnt open Sign Dialogue

    I'm having a problem getting an InfoPath form to work smoothly with the Collect Signatures workflow while using automatically chosen signers instead of the signers being specified in the workflow initiation form.
    I created a custom InfoPath form with two signature lines
    I created a duplicate of the out of the box Collect Signatures workflow and changed the Task Process Participants from "Parameter:Signers" to use one stage of the "submitter" and a second stage of the Manager field in the form.
    The tasks do get assigned properly to the submitter and then the other user from the form field but there is a problem when trying to sign the documents from the task.
    PROBLEM: Now, when one of the signers opens the task from inside the InfoPath form(they get to the form by clicking the link in the task assignment email) and clicks "sign" it no longer opens the signature dialogue. It just
    advances the workflow and the document is left unsigned.
    BUT IT WORKED FINE STOCK?... If I change the workflow task back to use the Parameter:Signers and let it supply the signers from the workflow initiation form then when the signer clicks the "sign" button on the task form the
    Sign dialogue pops up for the next in line signature in the form that hasn't been signed. Then once they sign it the task completes and advances the workflow nicely. This is great but I want the signers to be automatically selected and the workflow
    to fire when a new form is filled bypassing the cumbersome workflow initiation form.
    Does anyone have experience with this? How can I get the task form Sign button wired up to open the signature dialogue for a signature inside the form?

    If you use a third party signing control then you would not have to name the form uniquely because the control captures the signature and shows shows it on the form. The signature is not dependent on the form name. In other words you don't have to give
    unique name to the form. Adobe Acrobat XI Pro lets you sign documents in SharePoint. Each approver can add their signature. There are other third party products also available for this. OR the easiest solution is to include Signature field on the form and
    ask users to simply type their name in the field and automatically record date and time (and show with signature) when they add their name and submit.
