Tasks are missing in Approval inbox

Dear Experts
We are using SRM 7.0 Version 701. we are facing a problem in approval inbox. The Total tasks are shown as 35 but we are able to see only 33 tasks (33/35). there is no trace about the remaining two tasks in approval link in portal. We checked in the Tcode BBP_PD we are able to find the status of those two tasks, but the same is not seen in the approval inbox in portal. Please suggest what can be done to solve this problem.

delegation is how you enhance workflow object, you create a z sub object and delegate it back to the standard object, any new attributes methods and events created for the z object will be available for the standard object.

As for the missing tasks, this is a bit strange since this is a standard workflow, check SE03 and see that no one deleted them by mistake (the type is PDTS) if so maybe do a client copy. I don't think that you can copy the standard tasks directly. but you have a few options:
create new tasks based on the same methods and recreate the workflow (this is not a complex workflow)
copy the tasks in the other systems to new ones and transfer the copied tasks to your system. copy the workflow as well.

Two work items are generating in approver inbox ?

Hi Experts,
iam working on PR Workflow. I used the user decision to the Approver for approving. when i relased in me54n. it will go to the approver. but every time two work items are generated in Approver inbox.
I used the Responsible agent and possible agent is the same user.
Please how can i control this ?

Hi Chinni,
I guess this could be happening because of any of the following reasons.
1) if you are using a custom workflow for PR release check the standard one is deactivated.
2) In SWEL check the event linkage for your BUS there could be 2 of them, Delete one of them.

Windows Server 2008 sp2 Task Scheduler missing next run time after restart

Hi,
I have the issue that there does not appear to be a fix for with a server 2008 sp2 (NOT R2) where after a restart all tasks are missing the next run time so I need to edit each task to add this time back in. I have tried the hotfix in KB 950035
but this when you run it is only for Vista and cannot be installed despite saying it's also for Server 2008.
For some reason also this is Task Scheduler version 1 not 2 which I thought came with windows since Vista so SP2 should have it.
Anyone got any ideas?

Would you please let us know current situation of this issue?
As Dave mentioned, Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 include all the previously released updates for Windows
Server 2008.
Based on your description, I understand that all scheduled tasks still miss the next run time on your Windows
Server SP2 when the server restart. If anything I misunderstand, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
On current situation, please open Properties of one problematic scheduled task, navigate to History tab, then
check if find some relevant events or errors. Those may help us to go further analyze.
If any update, please feel free to let us know.

Turned computer on today and all of my customized folders are missing except for inbox, drafts, sent and trash.

I am using approval task process activity in designer workflow. When i go to the single task behaviour page, some fields are missing under Current Task Source.
Some missing fields are :

2.External participants
3. Form Urn

Hi Puli,
I think your task list is corrupted, could you please try to associate your workflow to another task list in SharePoint Designer > Click Workflows on left navigation > Click to open your workflow > Under Settings section, select another task
list and test.

How to display the tabs in shared views also.

Is this normal? "There are currently no approval tasks assigned to you."

Our site owners encounter the following situation:
- We are using sites based on "Publishing site with workflow" template.
- We have used Owners (Permission Level=Full Control) for site managers and Visitors (Permission Level=Read) for everyone on domain. We also did not add usernames directly, but instead used an AD group (which was added to the SharePoint Owners group).
- There is currently no users in Approvers (Permission Level=Approve) group.
In this situation when someone from Owners grope creates a page and clicks Submit, he sees Approve and Reject buttons. However he is not able to Approve either Reject and gets "There are currently no approval tasks assigned to you".
I have added the AD group we have used for Owners to Approvers group, the site manages still were not able to Approve (with same error message).
The situation finally got fixed after I have added a user directly with his username to the SP Approvers group. Adding any user directly with his/her username fixes this partially: then the task is indeed created, but someone from Owner group (that was not
in Approvers group when task was created) still can not approve by clicking on Approve button, but he can take over the Task from Task List and then approve...
To my knowledge all this happened because there was indeed no approval task created (that is what actually error indicates). But still I am little bit confused about 2 things:
- Why someone with Full Control permission can not approve/reject a page (in the end that is just an item from the list with a workflow activated on it)
- Why there were no task created (I would expect that if there is no one in Approvers group, the tasks would be created for other users with Approve permissions, for example through Full Control right; also situation when there was an AD group is strange,
why not to create a task assigned to that AD group).
Just wondering about other thoughts on this behaviour.

Hi Tofig,
As you rightly said, this behaviour is by design.
As far as I understand, the owners need not be given the approver permission considering them to be mostly from technical background. They may not necessarily be good at content authoring and design and keeping them away from the approver group may
avoid any language related goof-ups (punctuations, grammatical errors etc.)
On the other hand, if they are good at content authoring, the site owners can be included in the Approver group, to avoid getting this message. This message also goes away once any of the user under Approver group, approves the changes.

Just updated FF version; opening inbox, Buttons including Reply are missing

Just updated my FF version.
I also just filed this problem here: reading inbox messages, button such as Reply are missing (a whole row of buttons).
Well, they suddenly started appearing, so my problem is gone!

As it turns out, many others have been having similar issues on other browsers. It seems that maybe Yahoo! is taking a much longer time to load or something like that. Either way, its been working on and off all week, and the same issue even showed up yesterday with IE 8 instead of FF. It still loads faster than IE 8, but again is spotty. Some people think the issue may be with mail.yimg.com or s.yimg.com, which I could see was the loading url in the left corner whenever Yahoo! Mail was refusing to work. A couple of people said blocking it caused the issue. Alternatively, some people suggested blocking it to solve the problem. Does anyone have any information on that? Again, I have no add-ons that would be blocking any urls, and my firewall hasn't any records of it. I really don't want to do anything to mess up my browsers more than they may have already been. Not all tasks from GP appear in UWL, some are missing

We are using GP for building the workflows and UWL as a front end to access the tasks. However all the tasks that are in GP do not appear in UWL. Tasks older than 4 months seem to disappear from UWL on daily basis. Every day we see that the older tasks have disappeared. Is there some configuration / system setting that controls this? However all the tasks are still avaliable and can be viewed through GP.
Pls send any configuration details that you know controls this.

Hello Arvind,
This is the correct behaviour for the Guided Procedures connector in the UWL. For performance
reasons, it will only pull tasks that are less than 120 days old.
Tasks that are older than this can be viewed in GP runtime.
The Knowledge Based Article 1588988 - 'GP tasks are not present in the UWL' describes this.

Action buttons are missing at UWL

Hi All,
If I have a workflow decision task and I want to approve it from Portal, what all config is required from Portal end. I can not find any decision action buttons which are visible at SAP inbox.
Kindly suggest.

Issues : When I click the button then it give an error message Unable to perform the request. Try again and if the problem persists, inform your system administrator
I am a feeling that my Action handler should be UserDecisionHandler as I have read this at a lots of places but when ever I am giving this as handler name that button is not being visible.

PO Response approval Work item is not executing from approver inbox. After click the approve button system is not showing any error and also work item is not clearing from user inbox. When we checked the status of the work item in SWI1 Transaction is still READY.

4. Buyer trying to approving The PO Response from his approval inbox

First, have him go to Mail>Preferences>Accounts
Then have him locate his account and your account on the left.
Have him click and drag the .mac account below his account in the list.
This will solve the default setting of mail going out from your account when he clicks on the Inbox.
Removing the smtp server for .mac may not even work for him, especially if the account is active.
Instead click on "advanced" and there should be a check box for "enable this account", deselect the box. This disables the account without deleting any mail.

You should first uninstall iTunes completely.
This is not an easy task!
