Tax Analysis Tool | Report | SAP B1 | Localisation India

I don't know why this thread is not displayed same as I have typed in
Hi Solution Development Team,
I guess you are aware of the poor status of legal reports offered by SBO in country india version (I am aware of merging of A,B,C in new version 8.8).
I fore see if a Tax Analysis tool / Report provided same on the line of Sales Analysis already available at present, then it can be of great help to customer in following ways.
1. In India the frequency of changes in Legal tax structure is veri high, so even if all the as of date reports are developed then it can change any time.
2. The proposed solution can be suggested as work around to customers/users.
The desired tool/report should work as below
1st Input parameter screen should collect following information from user (you may add more)
1.a. From Tax Category
1.b. To Tax Category
1.c. From Tax Type
1.d. To Tax Type
1.e. From Tax code
1.f. To Tax code
1.2. Tax combination
1.3. Select From Date (Posting / Document)
1.4. Select To Date (Posting / Document)
1.5. Transaction category (Optional reference A/R Invoice Tax Tab)
1.6. Check Box ( Multiple choice A/R Invoice , A/P Invoice , A/P and A/R Credit Memo etc Marketing documents same as available in General Ledger report)
1.7. Radio Button (Summary OR Detailed)
Once user provides above details then in 2nd screen system should provide following data filterd based on criteria given in 1st screen
01. BP code and Name (Customer/Supplier)
02. Document Type
03 .Document No.
04. Document Date and Posting Date in separate columns
05. Item (multiple line for same document only in case of Detailed is selected in 1.7 above)
06. Tax Category (multiple line for same document only in case of Detailed is selected in 1.7 above)
07. Tax Type (multiple line for same document only in case of Detailed is selected in 1.7 above)
08. Tax Combination (multiple line for same document only in case of Detailed is selected in 1.7 above)
09. Tax Code (multiple line for same document only in case of Detailed is selected in 1.7 above)
10. Base Amount
11. Tax Percentage (depend upon the Tax code / Formulla)
12. Total Tax Amount (as per the choice made in 1.7 above - total document tax in case summary is selected)
13. Document Total as applicable
14. Transaction Category
15. BP Tax Info. Columns (VAT No. / Service Tax No. PAN No. etc all)
Also bring other columns which you find relavant, user should have option to make visible using form setting
The chalange I guess in this reporting/analysis is to display tax parameter code wise amount in column format which is stored in row format in system per item line (for reference see details displayed in link of A/R invoice Tax amount column).

  • Tax Code setup in SAP B1 for India

SAP B1 implementation for an Indian Company.
We have defined Tax Code as BED + CST and also defined all other setups such as Tax combination codes, effective dates etc.
However when we create any document and enter Tax Code, in the selection list only sales tax codes such as ST , CST, VAT are shown but not Excise codes such as BED or BED+ CST.
    Pl help.
    Shrikanth Rao

When you are creating location enter pan no in Accounting Data -> General tab then same will show in Excise tab with XM and XD enter last three digit no from ecc no of you company.
XM for manufacturer and XD for Dealer. You have to enter ECC no till the time system will not allow you to add location.
And when you are going to select excisable item then system will show you only excisable tax code only and when are going to select non-excisable item system will show except excisable taxcodes. System is not showing all taxcodes togather in marketing documents in 2007 and 8.8.

  • Reporting tools and SAP BW

    Dear Sirs,
We have Business Objects BI 4.0 and SAP BW 7.3.
Actually we are using Web Intelligence and BEx Query to reporting.
We have not Business Layer (Universe) between BW and BO because BO it's not supported to create universe (unx) on BW. So we create document in WEBI using BEx Query.
We want to use Xcelsius (Dashboard Design) 2011 and I was thinking that we can use query from universe to connect with BW (new functionality in version 2011). Can we? Or maybe we should to connect to BW using "Connecttion to SAP BW"?
We want to use Explorer (on iPad and iPhone), but Explorer requires universe (unx).
Is not possible to create universe (unx, because unv is not supported via Explorer) based on SAP BW, is it true?
We should we do, when we want to use Explorer with SAP BW?
Do I understand connection between reporting tools and SAP BW:
Crystal Reports - can I use cubes or BEx queries
Xcelsius - using "Connection to SAP BW"
WEBI - BExqueries or universe (but only UNV - old version).
Explorer - in my opinion is not possible
Analysis for OLAP - drirect to cube in SAP BW
    Could you please comment.

    Hi
With the current version of the BI 4.0 SP2 BI Platform, one cannot create a universe (.UNX format) against BW using the OLAP connection. However you can create a universe (.UNX format) using the Relational connection (see OSS note: 1656905 - How to create UNX universe based on Business Warehourse InfoCubes). One limitation is the use of hierarchies with the relational connection.
Then you can create the Information spaces based on the universe (.UNX format) that the Explorer can use.
    BO Reporting tools:
    1. Crystal Reports for Enterprise = you can use the OLAP connection (BICS) directly against the BW InfoCubes or Queries, if queries already exist in the BW system then you can leverage these directly (less time spent recreating the entire query in Crystal)
    2. Xcelsius = you can use the BICS or Web Service or Universe to access the data
    3. Web Intelligence = you can use the OLAP Connection (BICS)
    4. Explorer = you can use a universe (.UNX format) via a Relational Connection
    5. Analysis for OLAP = you can use the OLAP connection (BICS) to either a query or InfoCube.
It is hoped that in Feature Pack 3 which will be released later this year, that missing functionalities will be delivered for BI 4.0.
    Regards
    Derek

  • SAP processes available for use in the process analysis tool Adonis?

    Hi everybody,
I'm currently working in a project where we design a process for process documentation for a globally acting company.
Mainly there are SAP and non-SAP based processes.
For the SAP processes there doesn't exist any process diagrams just some functional specifications how the SAP system is working.
All documentation will be designed with Adonis, a business process analysis tool by BOC (Link: http://www.boc-group.com/).
Does anybody know, whether there are business process documentations available by SAP as diagrams e.g. the order flow process so that I can import the business process into Adonis to make it available as a process diagram? As far as I know Adonis can import BPMN, UML, XML files.
Any help or hint is appreciated.
Thanks in advance and best regards,
    Frank

    Hi Dan,
no this is not possible. The Solution Documentation Assistant allows the analysis of how often certain transaction, reports etc. are executed in a certain time frame. But this is not split-up per organizational unit like company code or plant.
You should contact your SAP Support Advisor and ask for a Continuous Quality Check service offering "Business Process Analysis & Monitoring" as part of SAP's Enterprise Support. This service comprises two remote days . One day analyzing your ERP processes like Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Manufacturing, Plant Maintenance and Warehouse Management. There you can learn something about used document types and plants, sales orgs or shipping points. The second service day is used to setup an Business Process Monitoring (BPMon) example in your SAP Solution Manager.
You can learn more about BPMon either in several SDN blogs (best starting point /people/volker.vongloeden/blog/2009/07/23/functional-scope-of-business-process-monitoring-in-sap-solution-manager) or on the SAP Service Marketplace https://service.sap.com/bpm.

  • Withholding tax master data report changes in SAP FI

    Hi All,
In our client according to new audit requirements improvements have to be done for the withholding tax report. According to the the requirements changes only functionality has to be added to the main selection screen of the withholding tax master data report.
Changes only functionality has to be added to the selection screen of the report, the report has to display changes made to the tax master data with in a range of period, this was achieved easily by making program changes. Only issue now is when we do it in development client its showing us properly but when we do it in production it is not working because when ever we do any configuration changes we do it in the development client and transport it to production client so the changes done to any configuration with respect to WHT are not recorded in the production environment as they are transported from development client.
So, we are unable to achieve this in production client, please help me out with this issue.
    Tthanks in advance

    hi
    i need field
withholding tax exemption no, exemption from date, todate, Exemption reason,
as a master data it is saved in vendor master data > withholding tax accounting

  • Analysing tools for KM documents

    Hello,
Does anybody know, if there are any analysing tools available, with which you can analyse the access of the KM documents. They should answer questions like
    - when was the last access to a documents?
    - which documents have an average rating lower than x?
    - how often has the documents been accessed?
The purpose is, to identify documents, which may be obsolete...
    Regards,
    Dominik

    Hi Dominik,
There is not tool but you can develop it.
You can develop a filter, each time that you access a document, this statistic information should be saved in a database and then you can report.
Here you have an example about how to create a report:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/6b30b090-0201-0010-829d-e988d093ac65
    On the other hand,
Using taxonomies, you can classify document by rating.
Also in Content Management->Report->Resource Statistics (
This report calculates statistic information on the content of KM repositories
). I know that this report it is not that you are looking for but ....
    Patricio.

  • Problem with 'restrict data' option in Web Analysis' Analysis Tool

I feel like i'm in the twilight zone.
We have made a report in web analysis, withh essbase as a source, and works fine.
We want to restrict data for customers that generate more than 1,000,000 revenue, for example
So, we go to Analysis tools, restrict data. The dialog window opens
We hit 'Select Column...' and nothing happens. No Column is shown, thus being unable to complete the dialog.
Should we enable something in essbase to allow this? We are newbies, but we think this should be pretty straightforward.
We have also tried to do that with the Analysis tools administrator, with the same result.
We are using Web Analysis 9.3.1.
    Any feedback will be appreciated.
    Thank you
Edited by: hectorsosar on 22/06/2009 02:31 PM

It got fixed by removing a filter from a dimension, and placing that dimension as a page.
    Thanks,
    Hector

  • Log Analysis tools with cgi programs (slightlyoff-topic)

Has anyone used a log analysis tool successfully in conjunction with
WebEnterprise to track what users are doing?
We have a WebEnterprise app that does not really have any of that sort of
tracking built into it, so we're interested in trying to extract as much
usage information as we can from the web logs. Since there is little use of
HTTP POST operations, most of the information we would need is in fact
available in the URL, but we have not yet found the "ideal" tool for doing
this analysis. We do not want to spend a lot of time with PERL or something
writing our own tool, but many of the commercial ones seem to have limited
ability to deal effectively with parsing arguments to CGI programs in the
    URL.
Any suggestions on products that do this well with any easy-to-user admin
interface and (preferable) nice-looking HTML reports?
